[39] ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Δαν δύο καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι. –
[39] the numbering of them of the tribe of Dan, was sixty and two thousand and seven hundred.
[40] τοῖς υἱοῖς Ασηρ κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,
[40] For the sons of Aser according to their kindreds, according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes forth with the host,
[41] ἡ ἐπίσκεψις αὐτῶν ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς Ασηρ μία καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι. –
[41] the numbering of them of the tribe of Aser, was forty and one thousand and five hundred.
[42] τοῖς υἱοῖς Νεφθαλι κατὰ συγγενείας αὐτῶν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν κατὰ ἀριθμὸν ὀνομάτων αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν, πάντα ἀρσενικὰ ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος ἐν τῇ δυνάμει,

[43] the numbering of them of the tribe of Nephthali, was fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
[44] αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις, ἣν ἐπεσκέψαντο Μωϋσῆς καὶ Ααρων καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες Ισραηλ, δώδεκα ἄνδρες· ἀνὴρ εἷς κατὰ φυλὴν μίαν κατὰ φυλὴν οἴκων πατριᾶς ἦσαν.
[44] This is the numbering which Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel, being twelve men, conducted: there was a man for each tribe, they were according to the tribe of the houses of their family.
[45] καὶ ἐγένετο πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις υἱῶν Ισραηλ σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω, πᾶς ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος παρατάξασθαι ἐν Ισραηλ,
[45] And the whole numbering of the children of Israel with their host from twenty years old and upward, every one that goes out to set himself in battle array in Israel, came to
[46] ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι καὶ πεντακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα.
[46] six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
[47] Οἱ δὲ Λευῖται ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς πατριᾶς αὐτῶν οὐκ ἐπεσκέπησαν ἐν τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ.
[47] But the Levites of the tribe of their family were not counted among the children of Israel.
[48] καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων
[48] And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
[49] Ὅρα τὴν φυλὴν τὴν Λευι οὐ συνεπισκέψῃ καὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν οὐ λήμψῃ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ.
[49] See, thou shalt not muster the tribe of Levi, and thou shalt not take their numbers, in the midst of the children of Israel.
[50] καὶ σὺ ἐπίστησον τοὺς Λευίτας ἐπὶ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα, ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν αὐτῇ· αὐτοὶ ἀροῦσιν τὴν σκηνὴν καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη αὐτῆς, καὶ αὐτοὶ λειτουργήσουσιν ἐν αὐτῇ καὶ κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς παρεμβαλοῦσιν.
[50] And do thou set the Levites over the tabernacle of witness, and over all its furniture, and over all things that are in it; and they shall do service in it, and they shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
[51] καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὴν σκηνὴν καθελοῦσιν αὐτὴν οἱ Λευῖται καὶ ἐν τῷ παρεμβάλλειν τὴν σκηνὴν ἀναστήσουσιν· καὶ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσπορευόμενος ἀποθανέτω.
[51] And in removing the tabernacle, the Levites shall take it down, and in pitching the tabernacle they shall set it up: and let the stranger that advances to touch it die.
[52] καὶ παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ἀνὴρ ἐν τῇ ἑαυτοῦ τάξει καὶ ἀνὴρ κατὰ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἡγεμονίαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν·
[52] And the children of Israel shall encamp, every man in his own order, and every man according to his company, with their host.
[53] οἱ δὲ Λευῖται παρεμβαλέτωσαν ἐναντίον κυρίου κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἁμάρτημα ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ. καὶ φυλάξουσιν οἱ Λευῖται αὐτοὶ τὴν φυλακὴν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.
[53] But let the Levites encamp round about the tabernacle of witness fronting it, and so there shall be no sin among the children of Israel; and the Levites themselves shall keep the guard of the tabernacle of witness.
[54] καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ κατὰ πάντα, ἃ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ καὶ Ααρων, οὕτως ἐποίησαν.
[54] And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
CHAPTER 2
[1] Καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ Ααρων λέγων
[1] And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,
[2] Ἄνθρωπος ἐχόμενος αὐτοῦ κατὰ τάγμα κατὰ σημέας κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν παρεμβαλέτωσαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ· ἐναντίοι κύκλῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου παρεμβαλοῦσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ.
[2] Let the children of Israel encamp fronting each other, every man keeping his own rank, according to their standards, according to the houses of their families; the children of Israel shall encamp round about the tabernacle of witness.
[3] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες πρῶτοι κατ’ ἀνατολὰς τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ιουδα σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ιουδα Ναασσων υἱὸς Αμιναδαβ·
[3] And they that encamp first toward the east shall be the order of the camp of Juda with their host, and the prince of the sons of Juda, Naasson the son of Aminadab.
[4] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τέσσαρες καὶ ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι.
[4] His forces that were numbered, were seventy-four thousand and six hundred.
[5] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Ισσαχαρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ισσαχαρ Ναθαναηλ υἱὸς Σωγαρ·
[5] And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Issachar, and the prince of the sons of Issachar shall be Nathanael the son of Sogar.
[6] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τέσσαρες καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.
[6] His forces that were numbered, were fifty-four thousand and four hundred.
[7] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Ζαβουλων, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ζαβουλων Ελιαβ υἱὸς Χαιλων·
[7] And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Zabulon, and the prince of the sons of Zabulon shall be Eliab the son of Chaelon.
[8] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἑπτὰ καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.
[8] His forces that were numbered, were fifty-seven thousand and four hundred.
[9] πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐκ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ιουδα ἑκατὸν ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακισχίλιοι καὶ τετρακόσιοι σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· πρῶτοι ἐξαροῦσιν.
[9] All that were numbered of the camp of Juda were a hundred and eighty thousand and six thousand and four hundred: they shall move first with their forces.
[10] Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Ρουβην πρὸς λίβα σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ρουβην Ελισουρ υἱὸς Σεδιουρ·
[10] This is the order of the camp of Ruben; their forces shall be toward the south, and the prince of the children of Ruben shall be Elisur the son of Sediur.
[11] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἓξ καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.
[11] His forces that were numbered, were forty-six thousand and five hundred.
[12] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Συμεων, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Συμεων Σαλαμιηλ υἱὸς Σουρισαδαι·
[12] And they that encamp next to him shall be of the tribe of Symeon, and the prince of the sons of Symeon shall be Salamiel the son of Surisadai.
[13] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι ἐννέα καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τριακόσιοι.
[13] His forces that were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand and three hundred.
[14] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Γαδ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Γαδ Ελισαφ υἱὸς Ραγουηλ·
[14] And they that encamp next to them shall be the tribe of Gad; and the prince of the sons of Gad, Elisaph the son of Raguel.
[15] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι πέντε καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα.
[15] His forces that were numbered, were forty-five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
[16] πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Ρουβην ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα μία χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι καὶ πεντήκοντα σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· δεύτεροι ἐξαροῦσιν. –
[16] All who were numbered of the camp of Ruben, were a hundred and fifty-one thousand and four hundred and fifty: they with their forces shall proceed in the second place.
[17] καὶ ἀρθήσεται ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἡ παρεμβολὴ τῶν Λευιτῶν μέσον τῶν παρεμβολῶν· ὡς καὶ παρεμβάλλουσιν, οὕτως καὶ ἐξαροῦσιν ἕκαστος ἐχόμενος καθ’ ἡγεμονίαν.
[17] And then the tabernacle of witness shall be set forward, and the camp of the Levites shall be between the camps; as they shall encamp, so also shall they commence their march, each one next in order to his fellow according to their companies.
[18] Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Εφραιμ παρὰ θάλασσαν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Εφραιμ Ελισαμα υἱὸς Εμιουδ·
[18] The station of the camp of Ephraim shall be westward with their forces, and the head of the children of Ephraim shall be Elisama the son of Emiud.
[19] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.
[19] His forces that were numbered, are forty thousand and five hundred.
[20] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Μανασση, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Μανασση Γαμαλιηλ υἱὸς Φαδασσουρ·
[20] And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Manasse, and the prince of the sons of Manasse, Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.
[21] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι δύο καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ διακόσιοι.
[21] His forces that were numbered, were thirty-two thousand and two hundred.
[22] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Βενιαμιν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν Αβιδαν υἱὸς Γαδεωνι·
[22] And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Benjamin, and the prince of the sons of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gadeoni.
[23] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι πέντε καὶ τριάκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.
[23] His forces that were numbered, were thirty-five thousand and four hundred.
[24] πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Εφραιμ ἑκατὸν χιλιάδες καὶ ὀκτακισχίλιοι καὶ ἑκατὸν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν· τρίτοι ἐξαροῦσιν.
[24] All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim, were one hundred and eight thousand and one hundred: they with their forces shall set out third.
[25] Τάγμα παρεμβολῆς Δαν πρὸς βορρᾶν σὺν δυνάμει αὐτῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Δαν Αχιεζερ υἱὸς Αμισαδαι·
[25] The order of the camp of Dan shall be northward with their forces; and the prince of the sons of Dan, Achiezer the son of Amisadai.
[26] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι δύο καὶ ἑξήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι.
[26] His forces that were numbered, were sixty-two thousand and seven hundred.
[27] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι αὐτοῦ φυλῆς Ασηρ, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Ασηρ Φαγαιηλ υἱὸς Εχραν·
[27] And they that encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Aser; and the prince of the sons of Aser, Phagiel the son of Echran.
[28] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι μία καὶ τεσσαράκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ πεντακόσιοι.
[28] His forces that were numbered, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.
[29] καὶ οἱ παρεμβάλλοντες ἐχόμενοι φυλῆς Νεφθαλι, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν υἱῶν Νεφθαλι Αχιρε υἱὸς Αιναν·
[29] And they that encamp next shall be of the tribe of Nephthali; and the prince of the children of Nephthali, Achire son Ænan.
[30] δύναμις αὐτοῦ οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τρεῖς καὶ πεντήκοντα χιλιάδες καὶ τετρακόσιοι.
[30] His forces that were numbered were fifty-three thousand and four hundred.
[31] πάντες οἱ ἐπεσκεμμένοι τῆς παρεμβολῆς Δαν ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντήκοντα ἑπτὰ χιλιάδες καὶ ἑξακόσιοι· ἔσχατοι ἐξαροῦσιν κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν.
[31] All that were numbered of the camp of Dan, were a hundred and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred: they shall set out last according to their order.
[32] Αὕτη ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν· πᾶσα ἡ ἐπίσκεψις τῶν παρεμβολῶν σὺν ταῖς δυνάμεσιν αὐτῶν ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες καὶ τρισχίλιοι πεντακόσιοι πεντήκοντα.
[32] This is the numbering of the children of Israel according to the houses of their families: all the numbering of the camps with their forces, was six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty.
[33] οἱ δὲ Λευῖται οὐ συνεπεσκέπησαν ἐν αὐτοῖς, καθὰ ἐνετείλατο κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ.
[33] But the Levites were not numbered with them, as the Lord commanded Moses.
[34] καὶ ἐποίησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ πάντα, ὅσα συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ, οὕτως παρενέβαλον κατὰ τάγμα αὐτῶν καὶ οὕτως ἐξῆρον, ἕκαστος ἐχόμενοι κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν κατ’ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.
[34] And the children of Israel did all things that the Lord commanded Moses; thus they encamped in their order, and thus they began their march in succession each according to their divisions, according to the houses of their families.
CHAPTER 3
[1] Καὶ αὗται αἱ γενέσεις Ααρων καὶ Μωυσῆ ἐν ᾗ ἡμέρᾳ ἐλάλησεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ ἐν ὄρει Σινα,
[1] And these are the generations of Aaron and Moses, in the day in which the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sina.
[2] καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν υἱῶν Ααρων· πρωτότοκος Ναδαβ καὶ Αβιουδ, Ελεαζαρ καὶ Ιθαμαρ·
