Chapter 45: Notice | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Due to personal reasons, I will be away from this Thursday onwards for an entire week. It's an yearly thing where we visit our grandparents which is sadly in a place without proper electricity and no internet.
Until then I will be going all out with updates, I took a day off after exams to just relax but now, I will be writing. Next chapter in 14 hours!

Chapter 46: Worlds | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Alex smiled and nodded. He proceeded to explain everything that happened the day before and the events that lead him to his current situation. As he explained, Buster and Midnight's expressions started to turn angry. It wasn't only those two, The other workers in the break room also heard the story. They felt sorry for Alex and the other who had to enter the gate.
Alex looked at them and smiled, "I was stupid and naive. I believed in the government over my own life and nearly died because of that. Before that, I had never in my life doubted them. I didn't even hear anything bad, Those who spoke badly were considered to side with the villains, Those who used their powers for crime and thus looked down upon. Something everyone would hate to their bone. So Without realizing it, we all turned into sheep, all by the fears of becoming outcasts of the society, which was all lead by people who wanted to stay in control and justify every single activity they did by saying it was for the good."
Although he smiled, Midnight could see that there was a certain sadness within his eyes. She looked at Alex and put her hand on his shoulder, "It's okay. At least you've come to realize that now. And look at you, You have powers and looking at how you are now. Who knows, You might be able to evolve your powers even further and become one of the most powerful in this country. And if possible in the future, you could return back and teach everyone a lesson. The last part might be very unlikely but still, I am more than sure that you will live a happier life here than you ever did."
Buster Smiled, "Midnight is correct, here in our world I can't say that there aren't shady things going one but we sure as hell won't sit down doing nothing if something wrong happens. Some things are more difficult to handle but we will stand for right."
The other who was listening in to the conversation also nodded in agreement. Buster continued, "That's why I talked about the military during the experiment. The military and the awakened team don't have the same objective at all. We actually could get in a heated debate when it comes to different topics. We've been deemed as unnecessary by them before but we've held on and worked to clear gates and thus, people look up to us. I wanted to say this to clear that no place is perfect. There will always be something like this. We just have to keep on with out beliefs and stay strong."
Alex nodded when he heard Buster, "Thank you… I am a lot happier being here than when I was in that place… Everything that has happened till now, I'm finally getting something for all the hard work I've put in."
Buster nodded, "You're correct. If you don't mind. I want to know more about your world as well as you Alex. If you don't mind, Can you tell us about your childhood and how your world was back then? Also if your world had ever encountered anything similar to gates before…"
Alex nodded, he took a deep breath and looked towards buster, "As long as I could remember, I was an orphan. I don't even remember having parents or a parent figure. I was once taken in an orphanage. But as I got older and still didn't show signs of having any abilities, they just kicked me out and never let me in once. Well, I did have someone close who would give me some form of shelter. A woman who would always give me a warm meal every night. Her son had died in the war and she didn't want to see me suffer. I lived in the streets but she would always provide me clothes and food when I needed it. Once I could start working, I would go anywhere and do as many jobs as I could. My main goal in life was to make people's lives easier even if I didn't have power."
Alex looked down, "I did odd jobs, Massaging people, cleaning houses, and other rooms. Just anything that I could. All of this was only when I was in my teens. I had so much to do. Due to my lack of powers, I would get kicked out of the job in a few days, and at max a few weeks. People who can do more for the same price will always be the number one choice for the job. I couldn't do anything about it. I guess my belief in the heroes grew more and more as I suffered. The more depressed I got, the more I wanted to hold onto some form of belief and the first thing was heroes. They would always save the day. Villains who used their powers for bad would be incapacitated and arrested by the heroes. Huge disasters that could cause very high casualties would be prevented by them. They could save the day for events as big and horrid as that so I had my hope that one day, they could do something small and save a kid's life from poverty."
Alex sighed, "And that's how my life was until yesterday. Living my doing as many jobs as I could get my hands on and keeping that faith. As for my world, We would get creatures that came out of nowhere and attack us but none of them looked close to the reapers we saw here. Not even similar. And for powers, well I never knew. I looked into soo many books about powers but there was nothing. Suddenly, people started to gain amazing powers on their own. It spread like a disease and slowly, everyone started to gain their powers. Everyone except a handful who were as unlucky as me. Most of them even killed themselves because by this time, The world was based on powers. Less power means you had less demanding jobs and thus less money. Now imagine that life but no power at all."
Alex looked up but before he could say a word, there was a loud buzzing sound, followed up by a voice. "Intruder detected"

Alrighty, As I said before no updates for a week due to my own personal circumstances. I hope you all don't mind that. It's something that I can't prevent.
I will do daily updates once I return to a place where I have internet access but until then, bare with me.

Chapter 47: Figure | Hero System! Transported to Another World
"INTRUDER ALERT"
A voice came from every direction. It was loud and almost deafening. Buster's eyes opened wide as soon as he heard the voice. He stood up and looked towards Midnight, "We're the strongest ones here excluding Sir Fire so We'll have to get to the intruders as quickly as possible. The security here is very tight but we need to get to the intruders quickly. My fear is that it might be a top-class awakened…"
Midnight nodded and said, "I'm ready, Where are the intruders?"
Buster took out his phone and looked at a map on the screen. There were two dots that were sporadically moving. Buster gave midnight the phone and said, "You go to the intruder at the left, I'll go right. If they're powerless or have a lower base awakened powers, They'll be caught by the time we reach them but if not, It'll be another battle."
Midnight nodded and ran towards the dot to the left of the base while Buster ran towards the intruder to the right. Alex looked towards the two, speechless. "What just happened, Those two must have been working together for some time to react and formulate a plan together so quickly. I need to go and check out what's happening though. An Intruder…"
Alex said as he quickly ran behind Buster. He was curious about who the intruder was.
"He's really fast!" Alex exclaimed when he realized that he couldn't catch up to Buster no matter how fast he tried to run. "I need to get more powerful!" Alex said to himself, he realized that the buster wasn't only strong but also very agile.
Alex quickly ran on Buster's trail, after a brief moment of non-stop running, Alex finally caught up to Buster, who was standing in front of a figure in all black. A weird mask on his head, which looked like a small red demon face. It covered the figure's head so they had no idea who or what was behind the mask. The body was disguised in a black robe which made it difficult to see anything that could help them identify if the figure was a man or a woman.
All they could make out was that the figure was 5'7 feet tall. Buster looked back at Alex and smiled, "You just watch, I'll deal with this person."
Alex nodded to Buster's words and slowly walked backward. He looked around and was surprised to see many people in black armor, holding guns. But they didn't seem to side with the black figure, they were aiming the guns towards the figure. "I think they must be the Guards that Buster was talking about. But they haven't taken action yet… I think they're just waiting for Buster to do something…" He looked back towards the figure, waiting for something to happen.
After a brief moment of silence, The Figure looked up to the sky. A small pitched-down voice could be heard humming. It seemed like the figure seemed to be mumbling and humming to itself. Buster looked at the figure and slowly approached it. 'It seems like they don't know how powerful the intruder is so Buster is acting a bit cautiously.' Alex noticed.
The figure suddenly popped its hand out of the robe, seeming to hold something in its palms. Everyone braced for a potential grenade being thrown but the figure quickly seemed to stab itself with the object in its arms. Alex didn't have enough time to check what the item in the figure's hand but Buster seemed to see it clearly.
He quickly looked towards the guard and yelled, "Back away, It's someone trying out a mutant serum. Haven't seen this in some time, so someone called for sir Fire, we might need his help here."
The guards nodded and slowly backed away. They also called for some reinforcements. Even though they backed away, many guards still have their guns pointed towards the figure.
*Shoosh!*
A small knife flew towards Buster. Buster caught the knife mid-air and laughed. "Using a serum and yet this is all that you have? I guess we know the reason that the world powers stopped experimenting with these serums."
To Buster's response, the figure shook. "Hahaahaaa!" A deep and very modulated voice could be heard laughing. The figure then slowly walked towards Buster. Every step it took was followed up by a knife thrown towards Buster. But all the knives seemed to be too slow for it to strike buster, who just caught all the knives.
But a sudden face of shock filled Buster who quickly threw the Knives to the air. Only a split second later, the knives all exploded. "Using tricks?" buster smiled, He seemed to be enjoying himself.
The Figure laughed once more, "You don't need to proud of yourself for not blowing up your hands. We expected it to happen. But from now on, The things that I will do… Let's just say that you will regret trying to fight with me." The figure's pace increased, It was now sprinting towards buster.
Buster, who didn't seem to be intimidated by the figure also sprinted towards the figure. The two were about to clash.
*Boom!*
An explosion occurred where the two clashed. Alex looked at the spot, Which was covered in smoke and dust, making it impossible to see. "That didn't seem like a clash! The figure must have thrown a grenade just before Buster could attack it!" Alex wanted to run and help buster but he knew that he could not be of any help. Buster was a lot more powerful than him, he didn't need Alex's help.
"ARGHH!" Buster screamed in anger. As soon as Alex heard Buster, The ground started to rumble. Alex looked forward to seeing a figure rising up, above the smoke.
"You're smart, but with the help of the serum and the explosives, You're still not my match." Buster laughed as he looked towards the smoke. "You can hide as long as you want, but the smoke won't wait for you. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm done with playing games." Bust smashed the ground once more. This time, The ground that he elevated suddenly dropped. The area, now filled with more smoke and dust, making it increasingly difficult for anyone to see inside. However, from within the smoke, A small voice screamed, "Ah!" Alex could still hear that the scream was from pain.

(We also silently passed 300k views and are super close to 400k, which scared the ever living hell out of me cause I wasn't expecting such a growth for this novel. I just hope to not let anyone down with my story!)
Chapter 48: Arena | Hero System! Transported to Another World
"Did Buster Get him?" Alex said as he looked at the smoke, waiting for the dust and smoke to clear. After a few seconds, The smoke started to clear up, In front of Alex, Buster stood looking around in surprise. He looked at Alex and exclaimed, "Did you see anyone run out of the smoke?!"
Alex looked confused as well, he shook his head, "I didn't see anyone leave the area…" He looked around hoping to catch the figure. However, Alex suddenly heard a familiar female voice echo in his ears.
[Combat Initiated]
Alex's eyes opened wide, He didn't have time to think. Alex jumped away from where he stood as soon as he saw the prompt. He looked towards where he stood to see a Knife pass by it. Alex took a deep breath, "That could have struck my neck and killed me at once!" He was alert now. The Intruder no longer fought only Buster, He was looking to kill Alex as well.
Buster looked at Alex in shock, 'I Didn't have time to properly react to that, how did he know that the knife was coming towards him?' But Buster quickly shook his head, "I can't be distracted now, Action first, Questions later!" He exclaimed as he ran quickly towards Alex.
"Hehehe, You said that the serum was useless but now, You can't even properly catch me. Am I too fast for you?!" The voice mockingly said. Alex tried to pinpoint where the voice came from but it sounded like the voice was everywhere. "What's happening?" Alex looked around, he was cautious as another knife could fly towards him.
Buster stood next to Alex and yelled to the sky, "You lack courage, use serums, that are illegal all over the world just to enhance your powers and attack us from the shadows… I see nothing but a weakling who wants to fight with its predator! Come, If you have such confidence in your serum, then why don't we battle head to head?!"
Buster seemed to be trying to get the intruder out of the shadows. He was baiting the intruder! But after a few seconds of silence, Buster shook his head. He then thought of a new plan.
Buster looked towards Alex and said, "Stay still, I'm elevating the area around the field to make a thick wall, which should be able to resist his explosives. I don't think he is far away so If I elevate the area around the field, He'll be stuck in a small arena-like area. That's when we will get him. I have a plan..."
Buster quickly smashed the ground. As he did, A thick wall of dirt and grass formed around the field where they stood. Everything went silent after the walls were created. Buster looked at Alex and said, "I don't think he has good defenses so you could possibly take him down if you stay hidden. I'll cause a ruckus for him so he will have to put his focus on me. You will go around the area and discombobulate him. No killing, just make him unconscious. This is the best way to take out this guy as if I'm too direct, he could use his explosives again, creating an escape route for himself."
Alex nodded when he heard Buster, He was ready. However, a doubt entered his mind, He looked towards Buster who seemed to already understand what Alex was thinking. "Don't worry, The ground is my weapon. Just watch." Buster jumped into the air and smashed down, this time with his legs.
The ground started to rumble even more and slowly walls started to emerge all over the arena. The walls created a small maze-like area. Buster pointed towards a path and said, "Just follow that, It goes around the arena. I'll be creating more elevations so he can't hide in one spot for long."
Alex nodded and ran towards the path he was pointed to. Buster smiled and jumped once more, this time looking around closely. "There you are!" He exclaimed while mid-air. The figure laughed once more, "This is pitiful. Making a wall so I can't escape."
Buster laughed as well, "Why don't you and I have a personal one on one battle. Or are you still going to hide?!" He quickly jumped towards the place where he saw the intruder. The Intruder was surprised by Buster's action. He quickly started to throw knives towards Buster who was mid-air. 'Fuck!' Buster felt like an idiot. He couldn't dodge the knives and catching or deflecting all of them was close to impossible. All buster could do was catch as many as he could and bear the pain of the rest.
"ARGH!" Buster was struck by many knives but he protected his vitals. He landed on the spot where the intruder last stood only to see that the intruder had run off to another area. "That idiot really ran left, this will be easier than I thought. It was good that I told Alex to go to the left path, It will lead him straight to the intruder. I just need to make some more noise so that the intruder could only focus on me and leave his back exposed."
At this time, Alex ignores the huge rumbles he felt and continued on the path. He held his dagger and was ready to strike at any time.
*Swoosh!*
Alex saw a figure in all black run and hide behind a wall, there was blood on the floor below him. Alex slowed down and watched the intruder, 'He was hurt… And by the looks of it, He won't last long, He is bleeding nonstop and will pass out soon. But Why hasn't he just run away from here? Why is he still trying to battle us?' Alex had questions, He didn't understand why the intruder didn't make any attempt to run away by blowing up the wall. But he didn't question it anymore, He had a job to do.
Alex quickly activated might and ran towards the intruder. *Swoosh!* He quickly threw the Dagger towards the intruder's legs.
The intruder noticed the dagger flying towards him but he didn't move, he couldn't move. He had lost too much blood and now getting up was also something he was unable to do. "ARGH!" The dagger struck the intruder's knee. He screamed in pain.
