Buster explained as he looked outside of the window. He then seemed to remember something and quickly looked towards Alex, "I did have a question. It's been bugging me this entire time."
Alex looked confused, he had no idea what Buster would ask. 'Did I speak out loud about the system again?' Alex thought back to try and remember if he did anything of that sort. But he couldn't remember an instance where he did something like that. Alex looked at Buster and said, "Please do."
Buster nodded and looked towards Alex's shoulder and his sides. He looked towards midnight, who was also curious. "Midnight and I both saw you get an arrow to the shoulders and your sides. They weren't that deep but they sure as hell weren't small. But for some reason, we saw a green glow appear at the places you got hurt. The next thing we know, the areas where you were shot were completely healed." He looked at Alex with a serious expression, "how?"
Alex smiled awkwardly. He had to think of an answer that would satisfy Buster. But he couldn't. Alex replied, "I have no clue. I guess I felt the pain and hoped that It could stop and the next thing I know, It felt like my wounds started to get numb. After a few seconds, the wound started to shrink and finally heal. However, I do have scars where the wounds were. They're small but still noticeable."
Buster looked outside the car windows, He was in disbelief. "I…" He couldn't speak. Midnight also looked shocked, "What? You mean to say that you didn't want to feel the pain and then it just starts to heal on its own?"
Alex nodded to Midnight's questions. He looked towards his shoulders and said, "I don't think this ability will let me heal others. I think I can only use these abilities to heal myself…"
Alex didn't want to have too much attention to his powers, 'I should first get a grasp on my own powers before showing off. So for now, I'll just say that I can't heal others except for myself. This might make sense as most of the top tier heroes I knew in my world had a form of self-regeneration. I think it's the same here or at least that it's common…"
Buster nodded when he heard Alex, "I guess that would make sense. It's just a bizarre thing. Some awakened can heal themselves but I never saw the green glow when they healed themselves. Until now, the green glow was associated with someone externally healing someone else. Never had I seen it for self healing. This is a first but I guess It might come up more as more and more people awaken by the increasing number of gates. It's rather rare to see a self healing ability for a lower-ranked awakened, well Never seen before you but It makes sense from what Master Zhun said about you."
Alex smiled when he heard buster, at least he didn't need to explain his ability anymore. He sighed and looked out of the window. As he did, Alex noticed a huge building around the corner. When he looked at the base of the building, He saw s figure stand by a black car. Alex immediately noticed the figure, 'Hana?" Alex said to himself as the car passed by the building.
He tried to look at the building but he couldn't see what building that way. He looked at midnight and asked, "What was that huge white building that we just passed?"
Midnight looked at Alex and smiled, "That's one of the biggest landmarks if this city, Goodwill Hospital. One of the most advanced hospitals on this planet filled with top tier equipment."
Alex thought for a bit when he heard Midnight, 'If I remember, Hana was tasked to investigate the cases of experiments on awakened children. A place filled with high tech medical equipment would be perfect for such experiments… I guess it would make sense for Hana to visit such a hospital but what doesn't make sense is why would they perform experiments in such a place. Sure, the equipment is high tech but would they even be able to use it. I don't think the security for such a place would be loose… I wonder why she went there.' Alex wanted to know more. He wanted to be of help to Hana so He looked at Midnight.
"These advanced medical technologies, could they get into the wrong hands for things like experiments on awakened or similar cases? I mean such things would be the most helpful for those who want to do something like that."
Midnight looked at Buster with a confused gaze. He then looked at Alex and answered, "A weird question but the answer is pretty simple, no. This hospital is also under the awakened bureau. Many new awakened are brought there as some of their powers could cause harm to them or others near them. So its well protected by not only the government but some of us awakened as well. It would be an insult to the entire organization and the entire country if these pieces of equipment were used for some other reason." Buster looked at Alex and spoke, "Continuing on, Experiments on awakened used to be huge back in the days when the awakened were a new phenomenon. But now, Not as much. The punishment is extremely harsh so no sound minded individual would even think of using that equipment."

Chapter 39: More Questions | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Buster then said, "But it also has many victims of experiments in the hospital. Some are still recovering from the horrific experiments that they had to go through." Midnight nodded when she heard Buster. "Many have been discharged from the hospital after making a proper recovery but some seem to have trauma from those experiments. Just saying the name of the ones who experimented on them was enough to weaken them mentally, making them unable to battle properly. Although fighting reapers wouldn't cause that, it's a measure to keep everyone safe."
Alex nodded, it seemed like he understood more about the experiments. He looked at the buster once more and asked, "How about at this time? Would experiments still continue to happen even when they know that there are more awakened out there who would try their best to take them down?"
Hearing Alex's question, Buster furrowed his eyebrows and thought for a few seconds. " Sadly, the answer is yes. Now, I think it's even easier for them to get away with it. More gates are opening, meaning more people awaken. We find locations of newly awakened individuals because it leaves a small energy signature that can be detected with scanners. It's sad to say but from what I've heard, There seem to be more awakened missing. Yesterday, we had nearly a dozen new awakened but out of the dozen 3 were missing. The government sends people to collect them and prevent them from misusing their powers but when they got to the area, the awakened were already missing."
Buster sighed, "There will always be a bad in this world, no matter how much you try to make it good." Alex nodded, all of this wasn't new information as Alex had already heard the brief from Ryan but he did seem to understand more about this world.
Midnight looked at Alex with a curious gaze and asked, "I understand you're curious about this world but we expected you to ask about things like food and culture and similar, not something dark like experiments being conducted on new awakened and so on." Alex shook his head and laughed, "It's really nothing. I just heard a few things between Hana and Ryan's conversation and just got a bit curious, that's it."
Midnight paused for a bit but a smiled appeared on her face, "Speaking of Hana, She is a special one…"
Alex looked at midnight and questioned, "Special? How is she special?"
"Well, even though I said that the ones who were experimented on wouldn't be able to join the awakened team to battle reapers from the gates. I guess there are always some form of expectations. Hana is one of them. She was also someone who had to go through traumatic experiments but she didn't show any proper sign of mental stress when the topic of the ones who experimented on her was brought up. Instead, she showed huge signs of intense anger. It was like she would instantly kill them if she ever saw them again. But once again, her emotions were justified…"
Ales looked curious about what Midnight was talking about. He asked, "Justified, how so? What happened to her? Do you know?"
Midnight couldn't help but laugh when she saw Alex's reactions. Buster also seemed to laugh a bit. "Hmm, you seem to show some interest in our cold queen. But she also seems a bit less cold to you… I guess that doesn't matter. Answering your question, I guess we need to bring up Goodwill hospital once again."
Alex questioned, "The hospital? Why is it related to that?" Midnight nodded to Alex's question, "The hospital indeed, It's a place that Hana seems to visit often. We don't really know who she visits or why she visits the hospital but from what I've heard, some of the victims of the experiments that Hana had been through were also there. But I don't know anything else about that. If you ask me, Hana is an amazing and kind woman but she tends to keep to herself. I'd say, she is the type of person who would hide all her emotions until she mentally breaks down. I assume that this mental breakdown hasn't happened yet so we never know how she will handle it. But if it does happen, It might be a good thing. She might finally accept that acknowledging her feelings is the only way one can true to themselves and others around them." Midnight looked around the car and laughed, "it seems like I went off into my rant again."
Buster shook his head, "It's okay, you just gave Alex his answer. We've already discussed this before. We want Hana to be the next leader of the awakened, She is strong, maybe the strongest among us. We don't know that for sure as she hasn't shown her powers to the full extent till now but from what we've seen, Hana is more than capable of being the leader. The only two things that the others don't accept is that she hasn't shown her real emotions to us, but that's the minor part. The main reason that most of the awakened don't accept her is that she hasn't shown her true powers. They would rather have Gold, someone who we all acknowledge as one of the most powerful awakenings on this planet as the leader. It seems justified but I believe that based solely on power, Hana is more than capable of defeating Gold. In my opinion, The fact that Master Zhun couldn't predict Hana's ability was a sign that her true powers were something that someone like Master Zhun couldn't pinpoint to. I'm thankful you brought up this subject because I have a request for you, related to it."
Buster looked towards Alex with a small smile. Alex looked curious about what busted wanted to ask, "Can I know the question?"
Buster nodded, He looked towards Alex with a serious expression, "Help us. We need to show the world how powerful Hana is and that she is more than capable of being the leader of the organization…"

Chapter 40: Reapers | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Alex scratched his head, he didn't know what to say, "I don't know how I can do that. I'm just a C ranked awakened at this moment."
Buster smiled when he heard Alex, he shook his head, "It doesn't matter for now. I just wanted to get that out of my system. For now, ignore what I said. All of this will be for the future."
Alex nodded when he heard Buster. He started to ponder about his world, 'The powers here all came from the gates but I never saw or heard anything related to gates in my own world. The first time I saw it was yesterday, And now I'm in another world. But what If these gates were hidden? But that can't be possible… I really wonder, Where did all of those heroes get their powers from when we didn't have a sign of the gates… The more I think about that world, the more I'm convinced that they were hiding a lot of things from us.'
As Alex continued to ponder, The car slowed down and eventually stopped. He looked outside to see that they weren't in a city environment anymore, they were in the middle of the forest.
Alex looked confused for a bit but shrugged, 'I must have zoned out for some time to have missed us crossing into the forest.'He looked outside and saw a small facility. Around it was many guards, all heavily armed.
The car stopped outside and a few guards walked towards them. They seemed to check who was inside but didn't conduct any form of search. "They would normally search the car and everything but As I'm also a member of the facility, We don't have to go through such a check." Buster smiled as the car moved past the gates
As the car entered the facility, Alex could see Sir Fire standing outside of the facility doors. He seemed to look concerned when he saw the truck.
Buster walked towards Sir fire and said with a serious expression, "It's serious…"
Sir Fire nodded and looked towards Midnight and Alex, "please come, tell me everything in detail. The reaper will be taken in with the help of the staff."
Alex and Midnight nodded and followed Sir Fire inside the facility. As Alex entered the doors, he noticed a huge multitude of technology that he had never seen before. Sir fire took the three to a flight of stairs heading downwards.
"It's an underground facility so we have to head down the stairs." He smiled as he walked down the stairs with Buster.
Alex and midnight nodded as they and followed the two. It seemed like midnight wasn't also familiar with the facility. Sir Fire looked behind towards Alex and smiled, "We only have stairs for more security reasons. Some technology here causes emp bursts and even though we keep it far away, it's a better idea to not have any elevators here just in case."
Alex and Midnight nodded when they heard Sir Fire. His explanation made sense to them.
The 4 could hear roars and screeches echoing from below. Buster shook his head when he heard the screams, "Why are they so rowdy today?
Sir Fire shook his head, "I don't know, it's been like this since morning. I came here before our meeting and they were getting a bit feisty even early in the morning. But now, it's just wild here."
The four walked down the stairs. As they did, Alex looked around him. The hallways were dark with only a small amount of light. The walls and floors seemed to have been made from thick metal. It looked extremely secure yet the darkness gave the entire place an eerie presence.
They followed Sir Fire towards a huge room. Inside, a few people were on computers doing their own jobs.
Buster looked towards Sir Fire and said, "Shall we begin?"
Sir fire nodded and looked towards Buster with great curiosity. Buster began to explain everything that happened with the gates. He went into great detail on what occurred.
As buster explained, Sir Fire's expression started to turn grimmer. He looked towards Buster and said, "It seems like my fear was true, these reapers are just the beginning. This was more than enough proof. Buster, can you remember the reports on the "Monster" gate…"
Buster nodded, His face sank, "I do… These reports were all from survivors… Although it happened in another nation, we felt the energy surge here as well. Speaking of giant creatures coming from the gate, although there were no reports of speaking, the people did say that they heard mumbles. Random mumbles and hums."
Buster sighed, "I think the thing we heard wasn't a reaper… Or at least it had evolved to the point of speaking like one of us…"
Hearing Buster's words, Alex quickly spoke up. "I do have to say something, I think that it was a reaper… You all know that I came from the gates… I survived huge 7-8 feet tall reapers… Well, I also heard them speak… They were communicating with each other in words, playing with us, and killing us like bugs. I was lucky to survive…"

Chapter 41: More Shock | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Hearing Alex's words shocked everyone within the room. Sir fire walked up to Alex and looked him deep in the eyes. "You're 100 percent serious, right?"
Alex nodded in answer to Sir Fire's question. He looked around him to see that everyone was in shock.
Sir Fire spoke, "Okay, This is a shocker but it's good as well. We've learned that there are stronger reapers out there. We can prepare for that. I wouldn't this is bad news but in fact, it's good news. I think with this information, there will be a new meeting soon… Telling every awakened about this new finding. Now, My biggest concern is that it called an A rank weak…"
Sir FIre paused to think for a bit. At this time, Buster spoke, "If it called us weak, It could mean that the reaper is as powerful as an S rank. We all know the difference between an A rank and an S rank… It's so big that even you, Sir Fire have a special rank in between S rank and A rank…"
Sir Fire nodded in agreement, "That is true, just because they called an A rank weak doesn't mean that they can just defeat anyone… It just means that their power is that of an A rank or higher. The gap between An A rank and a pseudo S rank is also very high and the gap is also larger between S ranks and pseudo S ranks… So worrying about this will be useless. Our number one focus should be finding a proper weakness of the reapers as well as boosing every awakened's powers. I can't shake the feeling of something bad happening. Especially after all that has happened till now. The reapers are evolving into something that's a lot stronger, even the gates are evolving… This will be a stressful thing but we will begin something soon. I'll do a meeting on that some other day after setting up everything. For now, let's have a look at the reaper you all brought."
