"But oh my, you're drenched in blood, You're not hurt are you?" Mary said in a concerned voice.
Alex shook his head, he looked at the areas where he had been hurt and smiled, "I'm fine." He looked towards Mary.
"That's good to know, getting hurt in your first official battle would be… Well, embarrassing." Mary giggled as she looked at Alex. Buster shook his head and looked towards Mary, "I know you're having fun but Don't have too much fun with the new guy. It's perfectly normal to get hurt in their first official battle. But What's unnatural is that the wounds from two arrows deeply penetrated into the shoulder and stomach just magically disappearing." He looked towards Alex with a deep gaze but before he could continue, A loud roar came from the direction of the gate.
*ROAR!*
Everyone's attention turned toward gold. Who's figure had been changed completely. His body structure was that of a human but everything else looked like that of a lion. He stood over 7 feet tall in this form. "He looks like a muscular man wearing a lion's mask." Mary laughed as she looked at Gold.
Buster shook his head, "His form might look funny but remember, He is considered one of the most powerful awakened we have. I wouldn't mind having a weird or different looking form if It gives me power like that."
Midnight nodded, "It doesn't matter, I think it looks kind of cool. Especially that upper body, one more and that shirt will rip apart." She seemed to be more interested in gold's body.
Alex looked towards the gate, he could see it vibrate. "They're here."
"KEKE!" "kekekek"
A dozen reapers walked out, all seemed to be 6-7 feet tall, and had a better physique than the ones Alex battled. They also had crystals on their chest, which was larger than the crystal that the one Midnight captured had. Buster looked towards Mary and smiled, "I just went through a battle and so did Midnight. Alex isn't powerful enough and Gold… Well, Gold can't think straight in his form. You're the only one here seems to be the most qualified to do this job."
Mary narrowed her eyebrows, "What job?" She seemed to be concerned about what job Buster was talking about.
Buster smiled even wider, "Well, It might be of big help to the research team if we collected more live samples of the evolving reapers. These ones seemed to have evolved even more, and the crystal on their chest. You know better than I do that we've never seen such a crystal on their body. All of this needs to be researched but bringing a dead body of the reaper doesn't sound as helpful for research as a live one. More experiments can be done and so on." Mary spoke before Buster could continue to do so, "Okay, Okay… I get you. I'll go and drag a reaper here. First, I'll need to pull one away from the group and isolate it. Then I can discombobulate it and capture it. But to do that…"
Mary looked towards Midnight, who seemed to already understand her gaze. Midnight looked towards the reapers and said, "Make it quick. Gold will finish them off extremely quickly so hurry to the left, I'll help."
Mary giggled when she heard Midnight. She quickly ran towards the gate. At this moment, the battle was already about to begin. Gold was rushing towards the reapers as well. Midnight walked forwards and hummed. As she did, the reaper furthest from gold fell into a daze and it deviated its path from Gold and focused towards Mary who was running straight towards it.
"KUUU!"
A high pitched scream entered Alex's ears, changing his focus towards gold. A reaper, split in half by only his bare hands. He didn't even bat an eye towards the reaper. Gold threw the mutilated corpse of the reaper and sprinted towards the remaining reapers. Alex watched Gold continue to shred the reapers with his bare hands. Sometimes, he would bite and rip them apart with his mouth. Alex couldn't help but cringe his face to the thought of ripping apart a reaper with his mouth, it was something that no sane man could do.
Buster looked towards Alex, " He might be hot headed, but He is the best at what he does. Killing reapers like their nothing. His anger is also helpful but only in battle. There are two awakened in Japan who's power varies on their emotions. One is Gold, who gets angrier the longer the battle continues. As he gets angrier, His power increases. I've never seen him at his peak power but I will say, he is called as one of the most powerful Awakened for a reason."
"KUU!"
Another reaper's mutilated body gets thrown into the sky as if it was nothing. Alex couldn't help but look at gold in awe. He didn't expect Gold to be this powerful. 'If I were to battle even the weakest reaper there, I would lose in a second. My current powers are nothing compared to him.' Alex said as he felt a bit demotivated.
He then looked towards the prompt and shook his head, 'I shouldn't be discouraged, I can get stronger. I've already seen how powerful I can get when the system first activated that ability so I should be confident.'
Alex turned his attention towards Mary who already seemed to have lured the reaper far away from Gold. She seemed to stand still and watch the reaper run towards her. Before the reaper could attack her, Mary opened her mouth. As soon as she did, the reaper was pushed back. Mary quickly jumped to the reaper and kicked it's chin, knocking it out.

Chapter 36: Kind Guy? | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Alex looked confused when he saw the Reaper being blown backward. He looked towards Buster, "Can I ask what her power is?" He was curious about what type of power allows someone to get blown backward by doing nothing but opening their mouth.
Buster smiled, "It must have looked like she only opened her mouth, right?" Alex nodded in response.
"Well, She did technically only open her mouth. Mary and Midnight have very similar powers. Midnight's powers are more useful for supporting but she can also handle combat as well. For Mary, however, She is a part of the military special division for a reason. The division of Awakened Militia had a lot of awakened, almost all of them can be considered top tier in terms of combat prowess in the nation. Mary's power is also like midnight but more useful in one on one combat. She can essentially fight you with her voice. High-pitched screams, high-frequency oscillating sound waves that can damage a person's mind, and so on. In short, Things related to sound but more combat efficient than that of Midnight." Buster explained it to his best abilities but he seemed to be confused every now and then.
Midnight laughed when she heard Buster, "Alex, these are speculations as the military doesn't really tell us what their powers are. Buster's words are confusing because he himself is confused about her powers. These are all that we've seen her do. From my take, Mary's powers is related to sound waves. She probably can distort sound waves coming from her voice so the sound waves from her voice can do heavy internal damage. But Mary's hand to hand combat is also impressive. Being in the military has been a blessing for her combat. " She explained as she watched Mary drag the unconscious reaper towards them.
*ROAR!*
A sudden roar pulled everyone's attention. They looked towards Gold who seemed to have completely massacred the dozen A and B rank reapers. Alex looked around where Gold stood, there was blood, organs, and torn up bodies of the reapers. Gold turned towards the 3 who were sitting on the bench. As he did so, Alex could see blood dripping from his mouth, Gold's clothes were completely soaked in Blood.
"It's a grand sight to see. The man who can kill reapers like they were nothing but ants. Having him in our nation has been a blessing when it comes to our national standing in the international race. The country might be small but out voice in international meetings has been heard even more because of awakened like him. Who wouldn't want to pay attention to a country with powerhouses like Gold." Buster said as he watched Gold walk towards them.
Mary, who had come back with the reaper just as Buster started to talk about the nations. She couldn't help but laugh out loud when she heard Buster talk. "Buster, you look so serious all the time but when it comes to politics, your face looks all goofy."
[Wave completed. Bonus EXP earned.]
[Out of combat]
Alex didn't hear their conversation well as he was more distracted by the prompt. 'It's finally over!' Alex exclaimed in his mind. He wanted to look into how many levels he gained. He also wanted to see if the new feature was available for him. But Alex shook his head, 'I shouldn't look into the System when others are around, I'll look at it later. I'm in no hurry.' Alex turned his attention towards Gold who seemed to be looking at the sky, waiting.
Buster looked towards Mary with a slightly annoyed expression. He then looked towards Gold, who was slowly transforming back into his human state. He then walked back towards them, a small smirt on his blood covered face.
"Hmm, Good job saving one for research. I thought about that before transforming but as soon as I transformed, It was all a blur." Gold said as he looked behind himself, towards all the bodies of the reapers.
Buster nodded, "We have two live reapers to take in. I'm sure that Sir Fire's research team will be happy with them. " He then looked towards the gate, which seemed to be dissipating. "And that was also the last evolution. But to think that the gate evolved twice, from a mere D rank to a pseudo A rank gate, something that would have caused a problem for an inexperienced A rank awakened."
Gold looked towards the sky and sighed, "I guess there will be a big meeting of the nations soon. Those who are involved or related to what happened today will all be brought to give brief on what they saw and experienced. Then the nations will decide on what actions to take next. It's always done when something huge like this happens. The first time gates evolved, it had caused all the nation's heads to meet up instantly."
Mary shook her head, "This time, however, it might not be as soon as it happened when the first evolved gate arrived. I'm sure that the nation's head will call for an international meeting later on, after the experiments on the reapers." Mary looked towards Buster and smiled, "Talking about experiments, I'll have to apologize. You will be taking the one you captured to Sir Fire's experiment and research facility. I'll have to take this one to the military facility. I would have loved to give this to you but I just received orders to get a live subject if possible." Mary said as she indicated towards her ear.
Buster looked even more annoyed but he nodded, "It's fine. We at least have one for Sir Fire." Mary smiled and walked away from them, "Well, I'll see you all soon enough. I'll take my leave now."
Gold looked towards Buster and said, "Don't mind the military. We should focus on the main thing at hand. You three go and clean yourselves up a then head towards the research facility together. I'll go stay here until the corpse collection team comes. I'll join you all later."
When Alex heard Gold he couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows, 'Is this the same guy as I met earlier today in the meeting? It's like a complete switch from that personality. Right now, he actually sounds like a kind guy."

Chapter 37: Cute | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Gold looked towards Alex with a confused expression. He seemed to get a bit annoyed when he saw Alex, this time was the same. As he looked at Alex, who's clothes were torn up and covered in blood, Gold sighed and walked towards the gate. Alex looked towards Midnight and said awkwardly, "I can't shake the feeling that he doesn't like me."
Midnight giggled and looked towards Gold, "It's not you, it's everyone. He doesn't like anyone." She then looked towards Alex, " But again, seeing how he reacted to you… He probably dislikes you even more than he does others."
Alex nodded and sighed, 'I can't get everyone to like me. It doesn't really matter anyway.' Alex stood up and looked towards the buster who seemed to be calling someone on his phone. He looked at Alex and Midnight and smiled, "Well, we're heading towards the research facility. But before that, I do want to change my clothes, they're also soaked in blood. Alex, you also need a change. Let's just quickly get to the apartment and change." He said as he walked towards the apartment complex.
Alex nodded, He had an idea that Buster also lived in the same complex but couldn't help but be a bit surprised by it. He followed Buster. Midnight seemed to stay at the same spot, she didn't need a change in clothes. She also had to look over the reaper.
The two entered the apartment complex to see a few people peeking out of their windows to look at them. Alex looked towards the reception at Rachel standing there. She looked at Alex seemed to be a bit appalled by the blood. Alex looked at his clothes, His white shirt was stained with blood. It was also torn up and many places. But a hint of worry entered her mind and she quickly ran towards Alex.
Buster looked towards Rachel and smiled. "Well, I'll be changing and taking a quick bath. Alex, you also quickly change." He said while walking away towards the elevator.
Rachel looked at Alex from top to bottom with a concentrated gaze. Alex smiled awkwardly, "Is anything wrong?"
Hearing Alex's question, Rachel looked into Alex's eyes and asked, "Are you hurt?" Alex couldn't help but be a bit taken back. Rachel at this moment seemed worried for him. 'Cute…' Alex said as he looked towards Rachel who looked concerned as well as a bit angry at him.
"I'm not." Alex replied as he smiled at her. Rachel narrowed her eye even more and looked towards the torn areas of Alex's clothes. "Do you have spare clothes?"
Alex once again nodded in reply to Rachel's question. Rachel nodded and walked towards the reception again. She looked towards Alex, still looking a bit angry, and said, "Next time, take more care of yourself. And try to get less blood on you." She quickly turned away from Alex after she spoke.
Alex awkwardly smiled and nodded, "Thank you, I will." He said as he walked towards the elevator. 'She seemed annoyed when she saw all that blood… Well, I guess I can be more careful next time.' Alex thought as he waited inside the elevator.
"I guess I need to change to something else," Alex said when he entered the room. He looked towards the closet where he kept all the clothes that Hana bought for him. Alex looked towards the suit he was wearing. He didn't know what to do with these clothes. "It was such a nice suit…"
Alex looked through the wardrobe, he seemed to see something and smiled. "I guess this will work," Alex said as he took out the clothes and threw them on the bed. He quickly went to the bathroom and took a quick shower.
After showering, Alex looked towards his stomach and shoulder. There were small lines where the arrows penetrated his body. "I guess it can't completely heal the wounds. I don't mind these small scars though. I guess they can be a reminder of my battles. But I do hope that I don't get bigger scars. Guess I'll have to be even more careful in battle."
He walked towards the bedroom and began to change. After a few minutes, Alex walked out of the room. He had on a black hoodie and some loose jeans.
Alex walked out of the apartment and went back to the ground floor. In front of the reception, he saw Buster who was talking to Rachel. Outside, He could also see Midnight who threw the reaper inside of a heavily armored truck.
"Ah, Alex. You're ready." Buster said as he looked towards Alex. He then turned around and looked towards the truck. "Well, we should be going now. The reaper is already loaded inside the truck. Our car has also arrived."
Alex nodded when he heard buster. He wanted to see the research facility. After seeing the hologram as well as all the new technology around him, Alex as very interested in this World's technology and wanted to have a look at the place which possibly made them.
He looked towards Rachel who seemed to pout when she saw Alex. He once again couldn't help but think, 'Cute…'
Midnight walked towards buster and Alex. She looked towards both of them and smiled, "You both look good. Now let's go, I'm bored of waiting."
The three entered a car that followed behind the armored truck. As the car moved, Alex watched the streets. He noticed that people were back to normal like nothing had happened. A question popped into his mind, "What about crime?"
Buster looked towards Alex and asked, "What do you mean?" Alex looked at Buster and asked, "Is the crime rate really low here? Also, who takes care of the crimes?"
Hearing Alex's question buster thought for a few seconds, "The crime rate here is pretty low compared to the other parts of the nation. But as the number of awakened increases… Well, We expect some to misuse their powers. It's happened before but I'm sure there will be more. Mostly the militia Awakened will take care of it but we also take care of them if we are nearby. There is talk about a new task force to be made, especially for disciplinary actions against crimes caused by awakened. For normal people, we have a police force to take care of them."
