Gold Put his hand on Alex's shoulders. Alex, worried about what God might do next, looked around but he was surprised to see that everyone was calm about this situation. It seemed like this was normal for them all.
"Then, tell me. You show signs of being a recon and a caster… Even though a few of us are similar in the way that some show recon powers while having physical powers or something similar, most of us are S-Ranks. But you, are a caster from the way you explain your powers. Yet have a better environmental sense than Sir Fire, someone who is known to be very good at sensing his surroundings. That is what bothers me. You, C-Rank possible caster could detect an invisible reaper faster than Sir Fire, a Pseudo S-Rank."
Alex looked towards Hana, He didn't know what to say. "I… Don't know... I just got these powers yesterday, I don't even know what's going on half of the time. You say that you're confused, Look at me. I was tricked into getting into a cave, I had to watch 9 others get ripped to shreds by reapers. I was lucky that another gate was nearby so I ran for it. And now, not even 24 hours later, I'm here. Being suspected of something that I don't even know." As Alex shared his experience, many within the room sympathize with him but some chucked.
Hana nodded when she heard Alex, "Gold, You should calm down a bit. I've been questioning Alex since he has been here and I can say for myself that he is not a liar. His powers are weird but the man doesn't have ill intents." Hearing Hana, Gold backed up. He looked towards Master Zhun, who also seemed to nod.
"Well, I'm still not giving up on you. I know that something is off about you and I will get to the bottom of this." Gold then looked towards Hana, "And you, I've never seen you be so close to someone. What is it that he has?"
Hana smiled and shook her head, "Alex, doesn't turn into a lion when he gets angry."
It was true, Alex turned towards Gold to see that his skin was slowly transforming into fur. His face was starting to look like that of a lion. 'So that's his powers…'
Gold looked even more furious, he walked to the side and looked at Sir Fire, "You can continue."
Sir fire laughed awkwardly and continued, "If the second case is true, we have a problem. Until now, the reapers have been the easiest beings to deal with. They're small and die easily, but imagine if they evolved to be as powerful as the initial beings that came. The incident of 20 years ago, the colossal beings that destroyed an entire city… We might have history repeat itself if we don't increase our powers. But we also need to confirm the fact that they are evolving, Let's just hope this was a mutated reaper. If not, we will have a huge problem at hand."
Hearing Sir Fire's words, everyone in the room nodded. Master Zhun also nodded, "Right now, As I am the oldest and most awakened, I have been voted as the temporary leader of this organization so I shall make an announcement as the current leader! Bring back the bodies of reapers, we need to do research. I will make a new team to collect the bodies but until it is officially created, the awakened have to bring the bodies themselves. Do you all understand?!"
Everyone in the room shouted, "Yes sir!"
Master Zhun then clapped his hands and looked at Ryan, "Ryan, You tell them my decision. I'm too old for this." He then walked out of the room.
Ryan nodded and walked over to the middle of the room. He clapped his hands, then. All of a sudden, everything felt dark. The next second, everyone was in a large garden full of flowers. "Okay, this peaceful scene is meant to relax all of you." Ryan chuckled as he looked toward Gold.
"Well, What Master Zhun wants is for us to officially vote for a new leader. He complains that due to his weakening powers as well as his age, He might not be the best suited for this job. Master Zhun has also told me that he no longer needs me as his protector and that he was fine on his own, from what I see… He probably thinks that his time is nearly over and he wants to pass his final years in silence. So, let's give him his silence and let him live a stress-free life. We shall vote on the new leader soon but not now. The situation is too much of a concern for us to focus on the politics of this so, at least for a few months or so. Master Zhun will still be our leader but after that, we will have to decide a new leader for this organization."
Everyone was surprised to hear Ryan's words. They didn't think he was going to talk about that.
The thought of Master Zhun dying due to his old age was something that they all felt saddened to hear, even Alex, who had just met Master Zhun, felt sad. He had only known him for a little while, but Alex could feel that Master Zhun was a real man.
Ryan then clapped his hands once more, as soon as he did, the room returned to normal.

Chapter 27: Disgusted | Hero System! Transported to Another World
"Well, I've told you all what Master Zhun wanted to say," Ryan said as he clapped his hands. As soon as he clapped his hands, The room slowly started to return back to normal. They were no longer in a peaceful garden.
Ryan walked towards Alex, a smile on his face. But he was stopped in the middle of the way by a hand over his shoulders, "Ryan. What do you mean that Master Zhun will die soon?" A deep unfamiliar voice spoke with slight sadness.
Alex looked towards the source of the voice and to his surprise, he didn't remember seeing that man anywhere. 'Is he like Ryan as well?' Alex asked himself as he tried to remember if he saw that man anywhere.
Hana looked towards Alex and smiled, "You must be confused right now. The one who just spoke is Shadow and well, his power is that he can blend in with the shadows around him. He was in the room where Master Zhun told everyone about your appraisal and he was also in this meeting. But this meeting you probably don't remember well because of Ryan." She explained slowly.
Alex nodded and looked back towards Ryan, who only smiled and nodded in response to Shadow's words. Alex looked more carefully towards Shadow, he had a completely black suit, long wild hair, and a buff body. 'He would be noticed anywhere but because of his powers, No one can. He just blends in at any place…'
Ryan shook his head, even though he was still smiling there was a look of sadness deep within his eyes. It seemed like Ryan truly cared for Master Zhun but he was hiding the fact that he did. "Shadow, It's what he said. He kept on complaining about his age so at first, I thought he was joking but later on, he said that he was completely serious. Master Zhun said that he could see his own future as well as his death. Although he didn't tell me his reason for death he did keep on complaining about his age and how it will be the end of it."
Ryan walked back to the middle and looked around " This talk about Master Zhun's death is from me to you all. He only told me to inform the others to appoint a new leader after a few months but It would be unfair for you all to not know about his condition. I'm not sure as well about how he will die but from his own words, and I quote: 'My age will be the death of me.' It seems like he might pass for age-related problems. The reason I'm telling you all this is very simple. If you know any way that we can prolong his life, I'd appreciate it."
By the look on Ryan's face, everyone knew that he was being genuine. Ryan deeply cared for Master Zhun and the talk about him passing away felt like a defeat for Ryan. He was Master Zhun's protector. Him knowing that the person who he was supposed to protect would die soon felt like defeat.
Shadow nodded and walked back to his seat. Ryan nodded and walked towards Alex, his frown slowly turning into a smile. Even though Alex saw the smile he knew that Ryan wasn't as happy as he looked. "Alright, The talk is done." Ryan said as he looked at Alex.
He then turned to Hana, "Hana, You and Alex follow me. I want to have a small chat." Ryan said as he turned to the door and walked. Alex nodded and followed Hana behind Ryan. He turned to Hana and said in a quiet voice, "Does he need something from me? I understand why he is calling you but I don't know why I'm here with you. I should just be in the apartment. I don't understand why I'm being called." Hana shook her head and looked towards Ryan. As soon as she did, Ryan laughed, "Well, It's something about Trust. I didn't trust you enough Alex so I had to use a direct illusion on you. Something that even S-Ranks have difficulties dealing with. But now, I feel like I can trust you enough. Especially if you have Hana's trust. Let's talk more when we get into my office." He said as he walked towards a huge door. Ryan looked into a monitor which seemed to scan his face. After a second or so, The doors opened up.
"Some of us have to do a lot of paperwork and some, Like Hana, just leave it all lying up which we have to do it for her," Ryan said sarcastically as he looked towards the pile of papers and copies all over his room.
Hana shook her head, "I was forced into a job that I don't like." Hearing her words, Ryan laughed.
He then walked towards his desk and took out a piece of paper and handed it to Hana. "Read this." Ryan's face was all serious now.
Hana, seeing Ryan's serious expression took the paper and started to read it slowly. Bit by bit, word by word Hana's expression slowly transformed. Her calm expression was turned into that of disgust and then slowly turned into anger.
Alex, who was standing next to Hana could feel her anger when she read the paper. He turned towards the paper that Hana was reading and his face turned into that of horror.
'Log#13. We started off with 50 children, all awakened. All of them had good powers, some even worthy to be S ranks if they were developed. But things soon went out of hand. The new injections weren't working. every dose I gave, the weaker the looked. But as they did start to look weaker, their bodies were growing. 6-year-olds- 7-year-olds looked like they were in their 20's. Especially the girls…'
Alex's eyes opened wide, his face was red from rage. He knew why Hana was angry, who wouldn't be. The last sentence itself could bring anger to anyone who read it.
Ryan looked towards Hana with a serious expression, "You understand, right? I don't know who is funding these experiments but, it's someone with very high standing. I presume a government official. They are conducting experiments again. This time much worse than what happened 20 years ago… Much much worse."

Chapter 28: Black Box | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Hana looked enraged. She couldn't believe what she just read. There was deep anger as well as some hints of fear in her eyes. Alex couldn't help but take a step back when he saw the enraged Hana. Ryan shook his head, "It's okay, calm down Hana. The words of the scientist might be like that but from my investigation, I don't think he took on his words and did anything. But we should take these words with complete seriousness. It's about the kids… It's been a month now that the number of gates appearing has been increasing. And as the rate of gates appearing has increased, the number of new awakened has also increased. Just yesterday, we had 10 more awakened, From a mere C-Class gate. Now that's why this is a bigger issue. More kids mean more experiments. And well, those experiments and the good kind… I'm sure Hana can talk about that."
Ryan said as he brought up a list of names, all seemed to be newly awakened. He then looked at Hana, waiting for her response.
"I know that this topic hits you deeply but that's why I wanted you on this case. It doesn't matter if it's politicians, it doesn't matter if it's another S class awakened, it doesn't matter who's the in charge of these experiments. What does matter is you take them down. I can't trust anyone in this but you."
Hana nodded, She knew why Ryan told her about this. But she looked towards Alex and then back to Ryan.
"If the mission was for me, why Have Alex in this as well. I don't mind that he is here but I don't think he can do anything about this, at this moment at least." Hana was right. Alex nodded in agreement, He knew his own strength. So being in this briefing didn't make sense to Alex.
Ryan smiled, "Alex being here is important but the reason can't be said right now. Hana, you can go to the document room. I want to have a small chat with Alex, alone." He said as he walked towards Alex.
As Ryan pulled Alex towards his desk, he looked at Hana who was walking to the door into the next room, "Hana, one more thing. Check the name of the scientist while you're looking into the files."
Hana, felt like she knew why Ryan said that. She took a deep breath and entered the room.
As she did, Ryan turned his attention to Alex. Alex looked back at Ryan. Both with an awkward smile on their faces. It was quiet.
After a few seconds of awkwardly smiling at each other, Ryan closed his eyes and clapped. As soon as he did, The two were back in Master Zhun's cave.
He then looked towards Alex, trying to read his expression. Alex looked around, still amazed by Ryan's powers, "It looks so realistic. This is amazing. Your power is that you can create illusions, right?" Alex asked in an excited voice.
Ryan nodded, a smug smile on his face. He was happy to hear praises about his powers, who wouldn't be? "It is indeed. And well, Do you remember where this place is?" He asked as he looked towards Alex with an intrigued face.
Alex nodded in reply. Ryan then smiled, "Then tell me. What made you stop for a moment while following Master Zhun. What was that small fragment of confusion and doubt in your face after entering the cave?" It seemed like Ryan had noticed something.
Alex smiled awkwardly, 'I think he noticed my facial expression when the system told me that I entered an illusion. He must have been observing me from the start… I guess I can just make some excuse.'
"I uh, I just felt a bit fuzzy and I guess the thought of a random cave-like entrance in the middle of a corporate looking building seemed weird." Alex quickly thought of an excuse. Ryan smiled when he heard Alex, he looked up and the cave got darker, the environment became scarier.
"Don't lie. Years of investigations have to lead to me being quite inept at picking up lies." Ryan said as his voice became progressively more demonic. Alex didn't know how to react. The only reason he didn't become scared was the prompt that appeared in front of him.
[Illusion Detected]
'I don't think he wants to harm me, I'm still not in combat more. It just says that I'm inside an illusion.' Alex said to himself as he thought of how to reply to Ryan. After taking a deep breath, Alex spoke, "Well, I just felt a bit fuzzy, That's about it. It didn't feel real, I felt like I was in some type of simulated environment or illusion. That's why I was a bit confused. There really isn't nothing to it I guess." He scratched the back of his head.
Ryan didn't say anything after hearing Alex's words. He sighed and looked up as the cave slowly started to dissipate. "I guess that's good enough for me."
Ryan looked at Alex, "Well, I called you for another reason." Ryan opened a drawer and handed a black box, larger than his own hand to Alex, "Take it. It's a compulsion for every awakened."
Alex took the black box and opened it. Inside, there was a small earpiece and a smartphone. "I did leave my phone at my house so I guess thank you." Alex laughed as he took the phone and opened it.
However as soon as he opened it, he dreaded to see that the UI was extremely simple, It looked like the OS was made for specific tasks only.
Ryan laughed as soon as he saw Alex's face. "I know, that happened to me as well. You expect it to be filled with features but it's the most basics phone out there. It's like that for a reason. Its use is for phone calls, which you can hear and speak into via. Earpiece. And it's also how we notify you for gates. As soon as one opens, it will be sent to your map. Of course, for safety reasons, as you are only C-rank, the map will only show C-Rank or less powerful gates. Once you become stronger, more gates will be seen."

Chapter 29: Hana's Mission | Hero System! Transported to Another World
Ryan explained the use of the phone and the earpiece to Alex. "That's about it on your equipment. Now, I do have another thing to tell you." Ryan looked serious.
Alex nodded and looked towards Ryan, waiting for him to speak.
"Well, It seems like Hana has attached to someone as a trustworthy individual. I hope you don't break her trust. And, well… I guess you'll know when the time comes but just be sure to take care of her when you can. I'd love to take that role but she doesn't seem to let me close… I might not make sense here but essentially what I'm trying to say is, take care of her. She is quick to anger and might make irrational decisions… Especially, in this case, she might look calm but she is burning with anger and hatred inside. I know this is a weird request, but don't let her make the wrong decision." Ryan said to Alex with a very serious expression.
Alex nodded and smiled," I don't know how I can do that but I guess I can try. I already have a feeling that Hana has been through one of these experiments of had a close friend who went through it and something bad happened." Ryan smiled when he heard Alex's reply. He nodded, "You're a good man." He sat down on his chair and looked towards the door to the file room.
