Without Limits: A BWWM Collection of Passion and Desire, page 77
“Hey Ξάδελφος cousin, how was the family dinner this weekend?” Titus asked not knowing about the torture that Demetrius had suffered.
“Oh man don't even get me started.” Demetrius groaned as he took a swig of his beer.
When the waitress approach to take their order, Demetrius didn't even give the menu a glance to know what he wanted. This pub was a regular hangout for both firefighters and police officers.
“What can I get you hun,” The waitress Sally asked.
“Hi Sally, how are you doing today?” Titus responded.
“I am doing a lot better now that you brought Demetrius into see me.” Sally said to Titus as she sent a flirtatious look Demetrius’ way. Demetrius didn't even notice, he was so deep into his thoughts> Titus stared at him, startled that he didn't respond like he usually would.
“Well you know I will do anything to make your day better.” Titus disregarded it and continued to flirt with the waitress.
“Well I am glad to hear that,” she sent a slight frown Demetrius way. Again, she was disregarded. After taking their order she walked away putting an extra wiggle in her hips that only Titus took the time to appreciate.
“Dude, what's going on with you?” Titus demanded as soon as Sally was out of earshot.
“Huh? What do you mean?” Demetrius reluctantly pulled himself away from thoughts of his mystery woman. It felt as if every time he let his guard down, she would slip into his thoughts, even now.
“You have been trying to get into Sally’s pants for months and now that she is throwing signals your way you are totally ignoring them. I mean she was practically begging you, but you didn't pay a lick of attention to her. So once again I ask, what is going on?” Demetrius could understand Titus’ amazement it surprised him too. He had listened for months as Demetrius moaned about wanting to get with the hot waitress and now that she was giving him the right signals he found that she didn’t interest him at all. He wasn’t usually the fickle sort when it came to woman.
“I met an absolutely gorgeous woman who punched me on our first meeting and then kneed me.” Demetrius told his cousin with a rueful grin. “And then I lost her.”
Titus immediately burst out laughing. The thought that someone didn’t immediately fall for Demetrius’ charming looks was beyond hilarious. No woman ever turned Demetrius down. Sometimes it made Titus want to hit his cousin. That a woman beat him up instead of kissing the daylights out of him was the highlight of Titus day.
“Yeah, yeah go ahead get it out of your system. And when you're done yakking it up I could really use your help, cuz.”
“Well that explains the faint bruise on the right side of your chin.” Demetrius watched as Titus wiped the tears from his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. It was a few minutes later that he could form a coherent sentence.
“Okay, what can I help you with?”
Demetrius took a deep breath thinking about the best way to explain to his cousin, “Like I said I met a woman. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever met.”
“Well congrats. I am happy for you. But the question of the day is, how did your mother take that news?”
“She doesn’t know.” Demetrius’ mother was an old-fashion Greek mother who had a firm belief that her children wouldn’t be happy until they were married and giving her grandchildren to love. Preferably to someone who was Greek.
“How did you manage not to tell her?” Titus ears perked up, always ready for any pointers from his slightly older cousin. It was hard to stay ahead of Greek mothers who ganged together to plan your future.
“It was easy. There was nothing to tell her.”
“Huh.” Demetrius knew he was confusing his cousin, but he couldn’t help it. “The gorgeous woman I met left before I could get her name.”
“You couldn’t introduce yourself sometime during the ass kicking you received from her?”
“Oh, you’re just full of jokes tonight Titus, aren’t you? Can you stop your enjoyment at my expense and help me, please?”
“Sorry,” Titus teasing instantly vanished, concern tinging his gaze at the somber expression on Demetrius’ face “Tell me what happened.”
“When I got off duty on Sunday morning there was this beautiful goddess with braids asking to see me at the firehouse. I came out to greet her gave her my most charming smile and then BAM! She hit me.” Demetrius absently rubbed his jaw where the first punch landed.
Demetrius saw Titus’ jaw drop open in amazement, but he continued before his cousin could ask him any questions. “Then she explained that we had been online dating for months and that I stood her up for our first date and she came to express her displeasure. When I didn’t recognize her, it pissed her off even more. Hence her knee greeting my balls.” Demetrius rolled his eyes as he heard his cousin snickering. “Go head laugh it up.”
He continued when his cousin motioned to him taking another sip of beer. “She ended up stomping off before I could get her name and that is why I need your help.”
“Hey, we may be cousins, but I’m not putting ice on your balls.” Titus held his hands up away from Demetrius.
“Dumbass.”
“What do you need me to do?” Titus put his hands down. He may tease the hell out of his cousin and enjoy his injury, but family was family.
“Can you help me track down my mystery woman?”
“Are you sure you want to you? Better yet, can your balls handle another encounter?” Titus was serious. He didn’t want to be the one to explain to Demetrius’ mother if there was serious injury to his balls and he couldn’t give her grandchildren. Hell No. He could live a long happy life without ever encountering that.
“Yes, I need to track her down.”
“Why is she so important?” Now curiosity replaced concern. He had never seen his cousin ignore a beautiful woman flirting with him the way he ignored Sally, nor seen him so riled up about a new woman, who beat him up. He should be trying to file assault and battery charges against her instead of finding her.
“Have you ever met a woman and just knew that deep inside of you that she was the one. The one you have been waiting all of your life for?”
“Uh no, I tend to stay away from romance novels.” Titus joked, but it fell flat with his cousin who just stared at him with the most serious expression not even a hint of a smile. “You are serious.”
“Yes. I don’t know what it is? Love at first sight? Two lost souls meeting, fate. But something beyond my understanding says my life will be incomplete without her.”
“Are you sure it is not just insta-lust?” Titus had to ask the hard questions. It was something he learned to do as part of his job and he wasn’t going to fail his cousin by not asking.
“No, this is not insta-lust. Lust is something that can be cured by one night of hot sweaty sex. Sometimes it may take two. This is more than just sex. It isn’t even just a physical attraction, but even more. I want to know her outside of the bedroom. Her hopes. Her dreams. Her future plans and where do I fit into them. It’s wanting to spend time getting to know her.” Demetrius looked his cousin directly in the eye speaking from deep within his soul Greek man to Greek man.
Demetrius was aware that he was thought of as a playboy by his friends and family. But what they didn’t know is that Demetrius had stopped his playboy ways a long time ago. After he had made that decision, the desire to meet someone who he could spend time with for more than just a quick fuck had become overwhelming. He was too old to be the playboy. He was ready to settle down and start a family. To enter a new stage of his life.
Demetrius watched as his cousin studied him waiting for him to come to a decision. He wiped the sweat off his palms taking another sip, eyes never leaving Titus. Finally, he gave a firm nod and said to Demetrius, “Okay let’s do this.”
Chapter Five
Ebony couldn’t avoid it. It was time to sail her boat into the harbor of Admitted Failure on the river Denial. She couldn’t continue to deny the facts. She owed Demetrius an apology. She couldn’t deny that it thrilled her to potentially see him again, any hot-blooded woman would be attracted to a man like him. Having met him, despite her anger, how he handled himself, she could still feel the press of his hard body against her when her anger had spilled into tears. She had spent the last few nights tossing and turning in bed thinking of him.
It was torture, and she was tired of waking up with sheets slick with sweat. This morning she woke up screaming his name as she came from yet another steamy dream. She could almost feel his sensual licks, driving her to ecstasy. Waking up was a new sort of agony. The feel of his mouth on her, licking and sucking her clit had been so real in her dream. Her nipples were hard points just begging for his mouth to suck them, tease them. Even her imagination made it seem more pleasurable than anything she had experienced before. It only made her thirst for the real thing, to feel his hands on her, his lips, his body pressed against her.
Finally, she made her decision, on Saturday morning, she got up and put on her battle armor in the form of another sexy spring dress. She arranged her hair in a cute style and made sure that she was ready to conquer the world before heading out on her mission.
She knew that she was taking a risk by entering enemy territory, especially after the disaster of last time. Katie told her that she was pretty sure that Demetrius was related to the family that owned Papadakis the five-star Greek restaurant. It had been voted the best restaurant in the city for more years than she could remember.
Despite her resolve, the closer she got, the harder it was to control her breathing. As she rounded the corner, she crossed her fingers, hoping he wouldn’t be there. That would mean she could avoid the embarrassment. But she had a feeling her luck wouldn’t hold true this time.
Ebony was surprised when she arrived to see a massive line had already formed. She knew this was a popular brunch place, but this was ridiculous. She didn’t want brunch. She just wanted to see if Demetrius was here and if not, she would try the firehouse and say she had given her best and call it a day.
She was stalling. She could admit it to herself. She should have tried the firehouse she had a better chance of finding him there than at this restaurant, but she was being one hundred percent chicken-shit this time. She had already embarrassed herself once over this guy and the chance of her doing it again was high.
She approached the little podium outside the restaurant. The warm spring air sent stray strands tickling her cheek as she made her way to where they were monitoring the waiting list. She waited for the couple standing talking to the hostess to finish, before stepping up. The woman gave her a welcoming smile, “How many?”
“Oh, I’m not here for brunch. I’m here to see Demetrius.”
At the mention of Demetrius’ name, the woman’s expression turned cold. “There is no one here by that name,” she could almost feel the spring air take on a frosty chill.
Ebony was both surprised at the feeling of disappointment that hit and the cold reaction from the hostess. Well damn, she got her wish and now she was pissed off about it. She turned to leave barely taking a step when a young teenager who had been sweeping the front sidewalk approached her.
“Καλημέρα όμορφη κυρία, Good morning beautiful lady. Are you looking for my cousin Demetrius?”
“Yes, but the lady said he wasn’t here.” Ebony answered the boy looking at him. He looked like a younger version of Demetrius with blue eyes.
“Elpida? She jealous. She wants Demetrius to herself so she keeps all the pretty ladies away from him. She hopes that he will marry her if she is the only option available.” A teasing spark danced in his eyes. He took her by the hand and lead her through a side door and down the hallway. She came out in a storage room.
“Hey Demetrius, I brought you something.” The young teenager called out. Ebony glanced quickly around, not spotting Demetrius.
“Okay Cristoph, I’m almost finished here. Just sit it on the crate and I will get it when I’m done.” A familiar voice called from behind a stack of crates.
Cristoph shrugged his shoulders and pointed to a stack of crates for Ebony to sit on. Once she was seated he left her to wait for Demetrius. Ebony studied the stack of crates that surrounded her. It was obviously stuff that was needed to run a restaurant. By the looks of things Demetrius was rotating the stock.
Ebony sat there quietly for a few minutes composing her thoughts on what she would say to Demetrius. Her time was cut short when he came out of the stacks of crates he was working with. He stopped when he saw her. Ebony nervously stood up, time was now.
“Hey, I’m not here to hit you again… I just…” as she started to explain why she was there, suddenly she was swept into his arms.
Her eyes drifted closed as his lips captured her in a kiss to rival anything her imagination could come up with. His muscular arms pulled her up against the firmness of his body as his lips devoured hers.
Ebony couldn’t stop her body from melting into him. There was a rightness about being in his arms. A feeling of belonging that she had never felt in another man’s arms. She wanted to feel it forever. Her tongue met his as he explored her mouth.
Stroking in confidence.
Boldly tasting.
Learning each other.
A moan escaped her parted lips as he kissed her. He didn’t try to dominate her. No, it was a passionate dance of two tongues. A give and take on both sides. Passion flamed between them as she felt a burn everywhere her body was pressed against his. This was no slow burn, but a raw blazing fire.
When Demetrius lifted his mouth from hers, Ebony slowly opened her eyes to find herself gazing into his green eyes dancing with desire. “Hi,” she whispered breathlessly.
“Hi,” he returned breaths coming out fast, clearly as shaken as she was by the passion ignited simply from their lips.
“I came to apologize to you.” She explained moving her arms from around his neck. She couldn’t recall placing them there.
“Apology accepted.” His grin spread before he lowered his head back down to capture her lips again. Ebony loved the feel of his body against hers. She didn’t stop her hands from roaming over the strong muscles of his back. The feel of his firmness under her hands sent thrills through her. She wanted to explore more, but that would require this advance further, stripping, and no matter how hot he got her she refused to get naked in a stock room where anyone could just walk in.
She tilted her head to the side as Demetrius trailed soft kisses down her neck. She moaned loudly when his lips found the spot on her throat where her pulse throbbed. He alternated between kissing and blowing on the spot, causing shivers to race up and down her spine. His lips continued to tease her in the opposite direction stopping at the shell of her ear. There was no controlling her body’s response to his warm breath on her ear. Her stomach flutter as her pussy grew wet with desire for him.
“What’s your name, baby?” It took Ebony a couple of seconds to realize that he spoke. Her minds was melting from the rising heat in her body.
“Ebony.” She whispered as he licked the outer shell of her ear. The touch of his tongue sent a continuous stream of flames straight to her pussy.
“Ebony what?”
How did he expect her brain to function when he kept doing delicious things to her with his tongue? Didn’t he realize that all of her brain power was in her pussy cheering for more?
“Archer,” she managed to get her brain to function long enough to moan. “Ebony Archer.”
“Ebony Archer, a beautiful name for a beautiful woman. I can’t wait to get you naked and spread underneath me. Would you like that?”
“Yes,” she moaned tightening her grip on his shoulder as her knees buckled under the promise of many more exciting things to come.
“Would you have breakfast with me?” He breathed into her other ear having kissed his way to the other side of her head.
“Yes,” Ebony would agree to anything as long as he continued to kiss her. She gave a whimper of distress when he lifted his head up and took a step back from her. “No.” she gasped.
“Yes, Όμορφη κυρία-beautiful lady. If I don’t stop now we will never get breakfast,” he said with a smile of regret.
“Food is overrated,” Ebony told him, trying to pulling him back to her.
“No, we must keep your strength up so that we can continue this later,” he informed her.
She tried to gain control of the desire coursing through her, looking in his eyes, she could see he was serious. She attempted to bring her breathing under control. It wasn’t easy. She wasn’t used to somebody heating her up only to stop so abruptly.
Another deep breath helped to control the raging heat in her body. Think cooling thoughts. Think cooling thoughts, don’t think about his firm lips. Don’t think about the feel of his hot body against yours. Okay this is not working.
Ebony started thinking about the last patient she had to deal with before she left work for the weekend. She thought about how upset the patient had been that she wasn’t allowed to have the red Jell-O before her upcoming medical procedure and how she wanted to file a complaint against the dietary service. The memory of the ridiculousness of the complaint helped to bring her body under control.
As she thought more and more of the patients she had to deal with at work her body cooled down. It was hard for her to maintain her sexual desire with her mind now filled with thoughts of sick people.
“Well when you put it like that I guess we should have breakfast.” She grasped the hand he held out to her and let him lead her out of the storeroom.
Chapter Six
Demetrius couldn’t believe his luck. He had spent all his spare time with Titus trying to track down his mystery lady and she appears at his family’s restaurant when he was moving things around for his mother. Titus wasn’t going to believe it.
He leads her around to the front of the restaurant over to the podium where Elpida was controlling the seating. “Ebony this is Elpida. She has been working for my family at the restaurant since she has been a teenager. Elpida this is a friend of mine Ebony. Elpida, I’m going to take table twenty-six for breakfast.” Demetrius made the introduction between the two women.
