Chapter 57
Mogtar extended his mind outwards, feeling the ebb and flow of the planet. He grunted in disdain, “I pity the humans who live on this dead planet. I sense no qi, Mana, or any essence. It’s completely barren. I feel naked and weak.”
Qi rose from his body as he mused, “Looks like I can only rely on my recovery stat to restore qi. I can’t absorb it from the surroundings. That’ll make things more difficult.”
“Now then…” He looked down at Ripper’s body, examining his physical appearance. Suddenly, the muscles on Mogtar’s body began to squirm and wriggle. The color of his skin changed as his body shrunk in size. A few moments later, he appeared exactly like Ripper. He cracked his neck as he thought aloud, “I still can’t get used to a human’s form, too small and not enough muscle.”
He looked at his points and nodded in satisfaction, “Good thing I learned to always keep points in case of emergencies. I didn’t know when I’d be summoned, so I have enough to procure an army. However, first I need to explore the planet and understand my enemy.”
He looked up at the ceiling of the labyrinth as a pillar of Qi exploded out of him. It tore through the rock as a tunnel was created. He flew through the air and appeared above ground. His eyes lit up as looked at the blue sky above, “What a beautiful planet. It’s much better compared to my homeland.”
His planet had a brown sky and the clouds were nearly nonexistent. As he looked at the trees he sighed, “I can tell just by looking around that this planet hasn’t experience the great wars. This place is a paradise! I would prefer to keep it this way.”
He picked a direction and flew through the air, intending to find any sign of civilization. An hour later, he appeared in Moscow. His eyes lit up as he witnessed the towering skyscrapers made out of concrete, “Seems to be a low tier technological civilization.”
He landed on the ground and entered the city. Based on his experience, he knew that flying through the air was usually prohibited. Anyone who did so would be treated as an intruder, he didn’t want to cause a scene just yet. He spoke with the native civilians and asked basic questions about the planet. Questions like, ‘How much of the planet is land’ or ‘Who are the strongest people’ and even ‘How long is a day cycle’.
They were confused by his questions but answered anyway. He thought back to the ability he purchased years ago, “It’s a good thing I purchased the ability to communicate with any intelligent lifeform. That way I don’t have to learn every little language in the universe.”
1,000,000
Any intelligent lifeform will understand what you speak no matter what language you are using.
A few hours later he stood still and laughed, “Haha, what a great planet! Everybody lives in peace, unaware of the terrifying nature behind the tattoo. I suppose I’ll be the first one to introduce it to them! However, there are a few characters I should watch out for…”
He counted with his fingers, “Sasha the Ice Queen, the guild master of Black Dragon, Ra of Egypt, Goliath, and Demon. They should be the strongest humans on this planet.”
His blood boiled as he considered fighting them all right now. However, his experience fighting in multiple bloody wars calmed him down, “Careful, Mogtar, careful. Never underestimate an entire planet. Take it nice and slow.”
Mogtar left Moscow and returned to the portal that brought him here. He purchased a mid tier dungeon core and activated it. He purchased one hundred orc warriors. As they turned to face him they shouted, “Warchief, what are your orders!?”
A frown appeared on his face as he shouted, “Watch yourself! I’m not a Warchief yet!”
A Warchief was a revered title given to the strongest orcs. Mogtar was arrogant, true, but he knew his place. He wasn’t strong enough to become a Warchief yet. As he looked at the orc warriors who stood in front of him, he grew angry, “Damn, these may look like orcs, but they aren’t ‘alive’, they have no soul. They’re mere puppets. This is a great dishonor against the orc race!”
A moment later he calmed down, “Damn it. I can’t take over this planet without using them. This is an agonizing feeling.”
“Brothers!” He shouted at them as he gave a command, “Our goal is to take over this planet, however, we first need to train! How many of you possess qi?”
Over half of the orcs raised their hand, “Me!”
Mogtar’s eyes lit up, “That’s a good ratio.”
He searched through his servants list and purchased upgrades for the orcs who didn’t have qi. He asked once more, “How many of you possess qi now?”
All of them raised their hands in response. Mogtar nodded, “Good. A bit expensive, but worth the price.”
He asked another question, “How many of you know ‘Grom’s qi manipulation manual’?”
This time, only twenty of the orc warriors raised their hands. Mogtar shook his head in disappointment, “This batch of warriors are below average.”
“Very well,” Mogtar said as he raised his hand, “watch my movements and try to copy it.”
“Movement 20,” Mogtar said as Qi rose from his hand. The Qi formed into a ball and hovered in place.
“Movement 21.” He said as the Qi ball began to rotate in place. He raised his head to see how the orc warriors were doing. He became flabbergasted as he witnessed them, “You all suck!”
They were having trouble doing movement 20. What Mogtar didn’t know, was that training monsters from a dungeon core was very time consuming. He had never personally done it before, he had only heard stories from his brothers. However, that didn’t mean it wasn’t worth it. Training monsters accrued points and increased their strength. It was much more cost effective to train them than to purchase elite warriors. However, for those that needed a strong force immediately, they would instead purchase the strongest monsters.
Chapter 58
Before the tattoo arrived on earth, the most popular person in Russia was Putin. He had been the leader of Russia for years and everyone in the western world knew his name. However, during the defense of Moscow against the monster horde a few years ago, a new name arose. Her name was Sasha. In history books, it was written that without her, the city might not have been successfully defended. As the months went by, she grew increasingly more beloved by the populace, and now all of Russia knew her name. Currently, she was widely recognized as one of the strongest people in the world and was famed for her ice magic.
Antarctica was known as one of the coldest places on Earth. The coldest temperature ever recorded there was −128.6 °F. Currently, a person was sitting cross legged in the coldest spot in Antartica. The temperatures here easily broke the record recorded by scientists. This person had long ice blue hair and pupils. If a normal human were to sit where they were sitting, they would have long been frozen to death. This person was Sasha, the Ice Queen.
This was the location where she trained her ice magic. Currently, her mind was extended outwards, sensing the energy that passed through the particles in the air. After choosing Ice magic, she researched what temperature actually was. She found that it was the movement of energy that passed between atoms. She learned that absolute zero would be the point at which no movement whatsoever would be present in an atom. However, no matter how hard she tried, she could never approach that temperature.
Suddenly, she felt a blazing hot energy in the distance. Her brows furrowed as she thought, “Another human? Who?”
The only people who could survive here were people on the same level as herself. She could count the number of people who could with her fingers. As she waited for the human to arrive, her curiosity rose, “Could it be Goliath? Or perhaps the guild master of Black Dragon?”
“An orc?!” She was stunned as she spotted the familiar green skin and muscles that were famous traits of a monster known as an orc. Perhaps a fairly strong orc could travel to Antarctica, but she showed no fear. This was arrogance born from being one of the strongest people on Earth.
This orc in particular was wearing some type of beast hide. It covered their entire body, save for their head. The orc stopped as it reached within 100 yards of her. He spoke to her, “You must be Sasha, the Ice Queen?”
“Hm?” This orc could speak? Her curiosity rose, like she found some interesting animal, “Yes, who might you be?”
“Hahaha,” The orc thumped his chest with his fist as he laughed, “My name is Mogtar. It would be my honor if you would engage me in combat… to the death.”
“Ha, what an interesting thing to say.” She never encountered a monster that used words like ‘honor’. In addition, she never fought a monster with a name before. However, her interest waned as she summoned an ice lance. It condensed so tightly that it would be a match for some of the strongest metals on earth. It shot forward, its figure moving so fast that no human would be able to see it.
She expected the Ice lance to pierce right through the orc’s head, but she gasped in shock, “WHAT?!”
Mogtar had caught her Ice lance with one hand, “Not bad.”
He gripped it tightly as he brought it to his mouth, using it as a toothpick to clean his teeth, “This makes for a pretty decent toothpick, do you sell these by chance?”
“You…” This monster directly stomped on her pride. Her anger flared as over 100 ice lances formed in the air behind her.
“Hahahah!” Mogtar laughed as he bent his legs, getting into a battle stance, “That’s more like it!”
Not all of the ice lances shot forward at once, instead there was a delay as over twenty shot out at a time. This would make it harder to dodge. However, Mogtar seemed to be taking a relaxing stroll through the park. He made subtle movements as he narrowly dodged ice lance after ice lance. At the same time, he continued to use the ice lance in his hand to clean his teeth.
As he walked closer and closer, it became increasingly harder for him to dodge. More and more ice lances were formed by Sasha as they continued to shoot forward. Suddenly, an ice lance pierced through his stomach and shot out the back. No blood dripped down as it was instantly frozen at the wound. Time seemed to freeze as a hint of bloodlust appeared in his eyes. Sasha’s heart clenched in fear as she looked into his eyes, however, the fear passed a moment later.
At this moment, Mogtar’s body suddenly exploded with qi. It knocked back all of the ice lances. Sasha’s eyes widened as she watched the wound she had just inflicted close shut.
There was a momentarily silence before Mogtar guffawed, “Good! Good! Now, show me your strongest move before I kill you.”
“What is with this orc?” Sasha thought in shock. This was the strongest monster she had ever faced, even within the challenges she completed. His qi was on par with Goliath! However, as she heard his words, her face grew solemn.
She spoke calmly, “The one dying today will be you!”
The surrounding air suddenly seemed to stop in place. Mogtar looked around in shock, “This….”
Suddenly, he had a terrifying thought as he exclaimed, “You have mastered a domain!?”
His heart beat faster as a murderous light flashed in his eyes. Qi suddenly exploded at his feet as he dashed towards Sasha. She pointed her finger and spoke softly, “Too late.”
The qi that encompassed Mogtar’s body instantly became slow and sluggish. As he shot through the air, frost formed on his skin. It penetrated deep into his body as his blood, muscles, and bones began to freeze. A moment later, his fist appeared in front of Sasha’s face. However, his body had already turned into an ice sculpture. He couldn’t close the gap in time as his mind turned sluggish.
He had become an ice sculpture in mere seconds. In addition, with Sasha as the center, the surroundings were frozen as well. The temperature was lower than -350°F!
She frowned and thought, “Where did this powerful orc come from!? I need to inform the others immediately.”
Her body disappeared in a flash of light as she teleported back to Russia. A few minutes after she left, a sound was heard.
Ba-dum.
BA-DUM.
BA-DUM!!
Mogtar’s heart beat so loudly that you would be able to hear it from a hundred feet away. All of a sudden, qi exploded out of his body as his body returned to normal. He cracked his neck as he thought aloud, “Good thing I was so cautious. I didn’t expect for her to have a domain.”
Another figure appeared in the distance as he spoke. They walked closer and closer and appeared in front of Mogtar. The figure was completely identical to him! The two merged into one as his eyes lit up with bloodlust, “Time to go test the other so called strongest people on Earth.”
Chapter 59
There currently existed five major powers on Earth, and each power was backed by an elite tattoo user. In the United States, there was Demon and Goliath. In Russia, there was the Ice queen. In China, they were backed by the Black Dragon guild. In Europe, they were protected by the Beastmaster.
To the far south, Ra controlled Africa and parts of the middle east. However, he never showed himself in front of the other major powers. He mostly kept to himself, biding his time. As a result, only four out of the five major powers actually communicated with each other. During the past two years, Europe and America reestablished communications and developed close ties. At the same time, Russia and China became close friends. As a result, there could be said to be three major factions on Earth. The European and American coalition, the Russian and Chinese coalition, and Ra in Africa.
At this moment, five of the strongest people in the world were currently communicating through telepathy. Ice queen, Beastmaster, Demon, Goliath, and the guild master of Black Dragon. Ice queen recalled the battle she just had, “I just fought an extremely powerful orc. He knew where I was training, and seemed to be looking for me specifically. I killed him, but I’m concerned where he came from. If there is a dungeon that can produce monsters on his level, that’ll be troublesome.”
The guild master of Black Dragon was calm as he responded, “How strong?”
In the past two years, they spared against each other and knew each others relative strength. Of course, it was only a spar and not a fight to the death, so they didn’t use their strongest abilities. Ice queen recalled her battle with Goliath, “He could probably beat the Goliath of a year ago.”
“Hm? A monster with stats around 210?” Goliath was shocked. A monster that was on par with the him of a year ago? If a monster like that wanted to destroy a city, they might not arrive in time.
“Are you making things up for attention?” Beastmaster mocked as she tried to rile up Ice Queen.
“Hmph. You can chose to believe what I say or not. Be grateful I’m even warning you about this.” She responded.
Beastmaster clenched her hand as she retorted in anger, “Bitch, why don’t we fight one more time. I’ll show you who should be grateful to who.”
The Ice Queen let out a long sigh as she shook her head, “I’m too lazy to entertain a wild animal like yourself.”
Beastmaster took this chance to egg her on, “What? Too sca-”
“Enough.” The guild master of Black Dragon interrupted. Goliath and Demon shook their heads as they listened. Beastmaster and Ice Queen were like fire and water, polar opposites of each other. Beastmaster was always out to look for a fight, while Ice Queen was as calm as a frozen lake. After they tied during their spar, Beastmaster always wanted to have a rematch, but Ice Queen declined every time.
There was a momentary silence before Ice Queen continued, “The worst part is that the orc was intelligent. He called himself Mogtar. An intelligent monster on that level is what worries me the most.”
