The three armies left the barrier and surrounded Ace and Vincent. Mokka was on the left, Moggul was in front of them, while Goran was to their right. Mokka’s army of three hundred orcs transformed and howled. All of them turned into various beasts, except that none were as lifelike as Mokka.

Moggul’s army of two hundred and fifty orcs stood in rows as their qi rose and separated from their bodies, forming various weapons. They morphed into solid spears, swords, axes, claws, etc.

What attracted Ace’s attention was the army to their right, the one commanded by Goran. The army of three hundred and fifty stood together in unison as qi rose from their bodies. Strangely, their qi came together and formed a single entity. Ace raised his eyebrows in surprise, “Oh? I can’t distinguish them from each other.”

“I’ll take the right,” Vincent chuckled at his side, “it looks terrifying, but unfortunately they’re facing me.”

“Then I guess I’ll take the left,” Ace turned to face the army of beasts.

The combined power of the qi in the area caused the wind to howl and scream. Mokka roared, signaling the army to charge. The beasts split up as they approached Ace, they moved to surround him. Mokka hovered around the back, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Instead of waiting for them to finish, Ace charged straight at them. He locked onto a group of beasts and narrowed his eyes.

Without their consent, their bodies flew towards Ace. However, they were skilled and adjusted their bodies to the increased gravity while preparing to strike. Suddenly, the gravity abruptly changed and they collided into each other. The collision caused bones to crack, while others coughed out a mouthful of blood. The only time a beast got close to Ace was when it was under his consent.

Just as Ace was about to kill a beast with his fist, a weapon made out of qi shot through the air. He continued his attack and tried to divert the weapon with his gravity. However, the qi was too light. His control over it only caused it to turn off course slightly, but not enough to prevent it from hitting him. He cancelled his attack on the beast and twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the blow.

Just as he dodged the attack, Mokka appeared at his side. She wrapped her mouth around Ace’s arm and sunk her teeth in. Just as they went two inches deep, she encountered the wall made out of gravity again. Ace grit his teeth as he created a gravity bomb at Mokka’s mouth. Sensing the terrifying energy, she retreated in time and once again disappeared behind the horde of beasts.

“Damn,” Ace spat as he glanced at Moggul in the distance. That weapon was created by Moggul. He pondered, “It looks like Moggul’s clan specializes in long range attacks, I wonder why Mogtar didn’t do that.”

Ace continued to abuse the horde of beasts with his gravity while dodging the weapons made from Moggul’s clan. He paid close attention to Mokka; that was the only threat to him.

Meanwhile, on Vincent’s side, the qi from Goran’s army combined and formed into a single entity. Goran stood in the center of the group and grunted. The massive amount of qi came under his control. Normally, his soul was unable to bear the load of such a massive amount of energy, but he was being supported by his army. This was how the weakest clan leader was able to fight on par with the others. The qi rippled as it morphed into a giant in the image of Goran. The giant encompassed his entire army, protecting them within. It raised its fist and slammed it down towards Vincent.

“Ooh,” Vincent whistled in appreciation. The fist was something which had to be avoided at all costs, it would smash him into a pulp if he stood still. Instead of running, he shook his head, “Unfortunately, I counter you…”

He raised his hand and faced his palm at Goran’s army. Vincent narrowed his eyes and shouted, “Hah!”

The orcs under Goran’s army suddenly shook as they coughed out a mouthful of blood. The blood in their bodies bashed against their veins, with some even breaking apart. The controlled blood even killed a few of them by smashing into their brains. The hand continued to smash down towards Vincent, but just as it reached him, it dispersed. Vincent smiled underneath his mask, “Your formation is quite impressive, unfortunately it requires an absurd amount of concentration.”

He had noticed all of the orcs were standing still with their eyes shut, this was their greatest weakness. Thankfully, he was able to slightly control the blood of people weaker than him. For normal humans, he could control their blood however he wished. Just then, a barrage of missiles rained down upon him. He glanced at them in disdain as he twisted his body, easily dodging every single one. He could see them coming from a mile away thanks to his soul. When he was training, he observed Ace practicing his sensory field. He realized he could now do the same thing with his soul. However, he had to be careful because his soul was required to use his blood. It was a delicate balance between observing with his soul and manipulating his blood.

Kaum looked over his army, realizing that defeat wasn’t far away. Unfortunately, they weren’t quite strong enough. However, it was no matter, he had learned enough. He opened his mouth and shouted, his voice ringing across the battlefield, “Fall back behind the barrier!”

The first army to respond was Gorans, they quickly entered the barrier, followed by Moggul’s army. Kaum frowned as he witnessed Mokka’s army continue to fight. He sent a telepathic message directly to her, “What are you doing!? I said retreat!”

  “NO!” She growled back.

“Damn fool.” Kaum spat in response.

He flew forward and exited the barrier. He intended to fly over to Mokka and help her out, but he was blocked by Vincent. He narrowed his eyes and said calmly, “Move out of the way, I’m not interested in fighting you.”

“Unfortunately,” Vincent raised his hand and beckoned Kaum with his finger, “I want to fight you.”

  Chapter 99

The orcs that retreated behind the barrier grew angry at Vincent’s provocation. Just as they flew forward to backup Kaum, Kaum shouted, “Stay back, you’ll only get in my way.”

The orcs halted as they recalled the day Kaum became warchief. They weren’t angered at directly being called weak, because Kaum was truly the strongest orc that currently lived. Their faces became solemn as they laid their eyes on their warchief, Kaum. They were full of admiration for his terrifying power.

Kaum glanced over at Mokka and shook his head in disappointment. She had fallen victim to the innate trait that all orcs had: rage. Her body had turned red and her eyes were shot with blood. What a disgrace, her pride had gotten in the way of her duty; the survival of her clan.

He focused his full attention on the foe before him. He cracked his fingers before raising his fists in front of him. He coated his body in qi, giving him a thick layer of defence and enhancing his body. His sensory field encompassed the battlefield. He was prepared for battle.

Kaum narrowed his eyes at the thin spikes made out of blood that hovered above Vincent. As he took a step forward, the blood spear screamed as it flew towards him. His pupils shrunk to the size of a needle as it appeared in front of him. He tilted his head as the spear shot past him. CRACK!

The orcs behind him let out gasps of astonishment. The spear skewered an orc, killing him instantly. They snapped their heads towards the barrier and found a small hole being repaired. The spear had easily pierced through the barrier!

“Packs quite a punch, but easily avoided.” Kaum muttered as he continued his slow but steady advance. He had strengthened his sensory field to the limit, allowing him to sense the trajectory of the spear before it had even arrived.

“Hm, I can’t control it when it goes that fast.” Vincent mused. He clapped his hands as the remaining spears dispersed and formed into small daggers. Fifty small daggers fanned out and flew towards Kaum.

As the fan of knives closed off every path of escape, he lowered his stance. Bending his knees, he gathered all of his strength into his legs. A platform made out of qi was created at his feet as he pushed off it. The platform shattered as Kaum disappeared. Vincent raised his arms, guarding his chest. Kaum reappeared in front of him, his arm outstretched. With a loud boom, Vincent was knocked hundreds of feet backwards. The orcs behind him let out cries of encouragement.

Kaum looked down at his fist. There was a dull feeling, like he had punched into a solid wall. He looked back up, and noticed Vincent was completely unharmed. He frowned, “His stats… are the same as mine?!”

His highest stat was strength, which was currently at 460. His lowest stat was 400. However, even a full strength blow couldn’t break Vincent’s guard. He said to himself, “Looks like I have to go all out.”

He entered back into his stance, but this time his hands began to shake and hum. The air that touched his hands were knocked backwards by something. As another barrage of daggers flew towards him, he once again disappeared. This time, Vincent didn’t allow a clear path forward. He had staggered the knives so that a way through would be extremely difficult. However, to Kaum, this was a small matter. He weaved through the daggers like an agile fish, no matter how complicated the path was, his sensory field would give him a way through.

The exact same scene as before played out, Vincent raised his guard and was once again knocked backwards. As he flew through the air, he looked down as an excruciating pain ran through his arms. His arms shook back and forth, it looked like someone who was extremely cold. His eyes widened as the pain suddenly disappeared, along with his arms. They collapsed into millions of pieces before being picked up by the wind. The orcs chanted out as they saw Vincent’s arms shatter, “Warchief! Warchief!”

“Defence means nothing to me, whether you block or not, the result is the same.” Kaum said to Vincent as he stepped forward imposingly.

Vincent looked back at Kaum and encompassed him with his soul. He was immediately attracted to Kaum’s hands, they were shaking back and forth extremely quickly. They were shaking so fast that even with his soul he couldn’t see them clearly. He muttered to himself, “Vibration?”

“The battle is over.” Kaum shook his head, disappointed with how fast it ended. He thought Ace’s ally would be just as strong, but he was wrong.

“Oh?” Vincent smiled as his arms grew back in a second, “I don’t think so.”

Kaum paused for a second before smiling, “Then here I come.”

His body flashed through the air as he once again appeared in front of Vincent. This time, Vincent twisted his torso, dodging the blow. If blocking it would damage him, then he just wouldn’t block. At the same time, he counterattacked with his fist. Just as his fist made contact with Kaum’s skin, he felt that familiar vibration enter his arm through his fist. His right arm collapsed as he retreated.

“Oh,” Kaum said as he chased after Vincent, “I forgot to mention that attacking means nothing to me either.”

Vincent frowned as he dodged blow after blow from Kaum. He fell into thought, “How do I win if I can’t attack him? I can’t dodge forever!”

Moments passed as Vincent narrowly avoided blow after blow. Kaum narrowed his eyes as he thought, “This guy… he can see just like I can. If that’s the case, then I can try my new ability.”

Vincent once again dodged a blow by twisting his chest. Kaum’s fist flew past, missing just by a few inches. Suddenly, a pulse was emitted from Kaum’s fist. Vincent felt that same force enter his chest. He coughed out a mouthful of blood as he exclaimed, “What? I thought I dodged it?!”

He shook his head as he thought, “No, I did dodge. However, the vibration exited his fist and traveled through the air before entering my body! Thankfully, it looks like its weaker.”

His chest and organs were wounded, but they didn’t collapse like his arms had. He quickly regenerated his wounds and dodged another blow. Yet again, he was wounded. Vincent yelled out in frustration, “Damn!”

“I know it must be frustrating.” Kaum said to him. He couldn’t dodge, attack, or block, how was he going to win?

“Wait,” Vincent suddenly laughed out loud as he thought, “Why am I worried about getting wounded? Isn’t that my specialty?!”

He created over thirty blood daggers as he continued to retreat. Kaum narrowed his eyes as he understood what Vincent was planning on doing. He smirked as he shouted, “Come on then!”

Kaum once again appeared next to Vincent, his fist shooting out towards Vincent’s chest. At the same time, the blood daggers completely surrounded Kaum. There was no escaping them. He let out a smirk as he withdrew his fist, it was a feint! As the daggers were about to enter his body, the air suddenly shook as a massive pulse was emitted from Kaum’s body, spreading out in every direction. The daggers shook before collapsing into liquid, they splashed harmlessly onto his body.

Vincent’s skin turned red from his blood vessels popping. His vision was blurry as he fell through the air, he was on the verge of losing consciousness. Just as Kaum was about to follow Vincent and finish the job, his body shook. He gasped for breath as he said, “Damn… that used up all of my qi…”

He pulled out a small gem from his inventory and absorbed the qi that was contained within. He shook his head as his strength was restored, “This is the last remaining low tier qi stone from the planet.”

As the qi stone collapsed into dust, its contents depleted, a scream rang through the air, “Mokka!!!”

Kaum swiveled his head, seeing the scene he didn’t want to see the most. Mokka’s chest had an arm sticking through it and her eyes had lost their light. Ace withdrew his arm as Mokka’s body fell through the air. One of the last remaining orcs from her clan caught up to her body, it was the orc who saved her just a little while ago.

The orc stored Mokka into his inventory before looking at Ace, his eyes red. Steam rose from his body as his skin turned red. He charged at Ace as he screamed, “I’ll kill you!”

Ace was filled with pity as the orc charged towards him. He shook his head, discarding such feelings. Now was not the time. The orc didn’t last a second by himself, and he too joined Mokka in the afterlife. Ace looked at the remaining orcs and shouted, “Enough! You have lost. I don’t want to kill all of you!”

The remaining worgs halted in place and looked each other. One of them dispersed their form as they returned to normal, followed by the others. Ace had won. He turned around and looked at Vincent’s body on the ground before looking at Kaum.

Kaum locked eyes with Ace as he frowned, “I didn’t make it in time, sorry Mokka. However, don’t worry, I’ll avenge you shortly.”

As Kaum and Ace flew towards each other, a shout rang through the air, “Ace! Leave him to me! It’s not fair that you get Mogtar and Kaum, now is it!?”

Kaum and Ace halted and looked towards the person who shouted. Vincent was standing on the ground, unwounded. He had been jolted by that attack, but that was it. For the first time in decades, Kaum grew nervous, he didn’t know if he could fight two on one.

Ace laughed as he pointed at Vincent’s torn clothes, “Are you sure you can handle him by yourself?”

Vincent snorted, “Just watch… I have something I want to show you.”

“Oh? Okay then.” Ace folded his arms and flew backwards. He was looking forward to seeing what Vincent would do.

Kaum was stunned, they were letting him fight one on one? He couldn’t ask for anything else. He could already beat Vincent easily. Smiling, he turned to Vincent, “You just won’t die will you?”

  Chapter 100

Ace backed off, giving them ample room to fight. Kaum took a step toward Vincent as he said, “You might specialize in regeneration, but you rely on some form of energy just as I do. You won’t last forever.”

“True,” Vincent nodded in agreement. He looked at his lifeblood gauge and found he had less than 40% remaining. He didn’t have any leftover blood in his inventory either. He was unconcerned, the next minute would determine the victor and loser.

Vincent’s face became solemn as he closed his eyes. All of a sudden, blood exploded out of his body. The wave of blood swirled around him, encompassing him within. It formed into a dark red oval ball. Kaum’s sensory field was unable to see inside, the lifeforce essence was preventing entry. He had no idea what was going on inside, but he wouldn’t let Vincent finish whatever he was doing. He flew towards Vincent, his body humming violently.

He reached Vincent a second later and placed his palm on the surface of the ball as he unleashed his vibration attack. The ball rippled, but that was it. His attack was like a drop in the ocean, unable to affect the ball at all. He decided to approach it differently, he changed his hand into a fist and pulled back his arm. He was going to use strength over technique. As his attack was about to land on the surface of the ball, a blood red hand shot out of the ball, making direct contact with his fist. A crack rang through the air as Kaum’s arm bent in a strange angle. He grunted in pain and used the force of the blow to retreat backwards, taking out a health potion from his inventory at the same time.
