  Grey snarled, lowering his weapon as he shoved himself up, clearly uncaring of his fully erect cock. “You fuck,” he snarled, pulling a blanket off the couch to cover himself. “What are you doing here?”

  How the fuck had he gotten into the loft was a better question!

  I tucked the blanket around me, sinking deeper into the makeshift bed Grey had made for us last night. Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

  “I’m chasing something,” the male answered cooly, “thought I’d drop by on Malachi’s favorite prodigy.”

  I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes, trying to breathe. This was fine. Everything was fine. Grey could handle it.

  “Don’t call me that,” Grey bit coldly.

  The male hummed. “This is the amazing Emily Glass then? What a cute little mouse. Perfect for the pussy cat of the family.”

  I closed my eyes, trying to focus on my breathing. Grey had talked about me? To his brothers?

  “Everett called me last night, Azrael,” he replied tightly, his voice drifting into another room. “You’re AWOL again. I have to call them.”

  Azrael. The one overdosed on the crazy gene at birth. Perfect.

  “You say AWOL, I say sporadic vacation. You’ve been having trouble with Eris, so I thought I’d do the brotherly thing and offer my assistance before I leave again.”

  The blankets shifted around me and I gasped. “Emily,” Grey mumbled.

  I relaxed a hair, pulling the blanket down to my nose, eyes wide. “How did he get in here?” I whispered.

  “Oh, did he not tell you?” Azrael asked, that smile still clear. “We’ve been trained to break into anything. Nothing is impossible when trained by an Adler.”

  Grey rolled his eyes, his expression dry. “I’ll get him out of here.” He held out a bundle of clothes, his eyes apologetic. “I’m so sorry.”

  I took the clothes, and he kissed me on my head. It wasn’t his fault. He had warned me about Azrael, I should have considered this a possibility.

  His enemies become her enemies. It worked the same for family, I supposed.

  I slid under the blankets carefully and pulled on the sweats and shirt he had given me. His shirt. Fuck, I loved that.

  “I don’t need your help, Azrael, it’s an open and shut case.”

  “It was supposed to be open and shut a month and a half ago,” he said coldly, “and yet here we are. You receiving threatening messages, people following your little mouse.” Another click of his tongue.

  My breath caught.

  “What?” Grey stated icily.

  I flicked the blanket back, sitting straight up, my eyes wide. Shoving myself to a stand, I found them both in the kitchen.

  Azrael was standing casually in the kitchen, hands behind his back, an amused smile tilting his lips up. His dark hair was brushed back and he was wearing the same kind of suit Grey always wore. I half wondered if they all wore suits. “Are there people following me?” I asked, finding Grey’s eyes for answers.

  He had a mask on. A porcelain mask, shattered in half, but molded perfectly to fit the left side of his face. It had a creepy sharp yellow smile that curled up to his ear, a terrifying yellow eye, fashioned in the shape of something I had seen on an Anime show once, and on the top of it, there was a little red horn. A devil, I realized, the mask was supposed to resemble some kind of devil, and he had shattered it perfectly in half so that the world could compare his real face with the mask he chose to wear.

  Azrael looked me over head to toe, absolutely nothing in his dead eyes, making that smile even more unsettling. Why the fuck was he smiling? “Matthew took care of the little stalker yesterday,” he replied, turning back to Grey. “I’m actually shocked it took Everett so long to contact you. I ceased all contact about a week ago.”

  Grey frowned deeply.

  Who the fuck was Matthew?

  “You always disappear for a few days, that’s normal. How do you know that someone was following her?”

  “Because I was following her, of course.” His smile widened. “Cute, but I don’t like mice. I like my women with a little more bite.”

  I wrapped my arms around myself, feeling entirely too exposed. “Are there people following me, Rags?”

  His eyes flashed at that, and he started for me.

  “No,” Azrael answered easily. “But Matthew has been instructed to keep a better eye on you. I assume he won’t train you how to fight.”

  I had no want to learn how to fight. None. Should I want that?

  Grey closed the distance between us, pulling me into his arms. He hugged me tightly, the scent of him comforting. After a few seconds, he leaned back, sliding his hand over my jaw, running his thumb across my cheek. “Malachi decided to put a man on you to make sure that you were safe. I couldn’t be with you all the time, so he dedicated a man to you.”

  I considered his words as I searched his eyes, considered the thought I just had. I held no wish to train to fight, and maybe I should, but for now, I held no ill will towards them for it. I was grateful, in fact. Grateful that even when I had ghosted them, someone Grey knew and trusted had been watching over me. I had never been alone. “Okay,” I nodded. “Classes start soon.” I leaned around him, his hand dropping to his side. “It was less then pleasant to meet you.”

  Azrael’s chuckle followed me as I headed for the bathroom. “I could learn to tolerate her if she’s who you choose.”

  “She is who I choose,” Grey replied tightly as I shut the bathroom door.

  Despite the abrupt morning, a smile touched my lips at his words. I was who he chose.

  A shiver ran down my spine and I walked up to the mirror, pasting up my toothbrush, my eyes lifting as I wet it, finding the near black marks that dusted my neck.

  My smile grew as I brushed my teeth, admiring the marks. God, I already needed more of him.

  ~~~
  I gnawed on my bottom lip as I watched Grey’s hand grip the shifter. It shouldn’t have been this hot, something had to be wrong with me, right? All I could think about was how that hand had felt against my skin, how those fingers had felt inside of me.
  “I’m sorry about this morning.”
  I shook the thoughts away, rubbing my thighs together, pulling at my sleeves. Shit, pay attention.
  “Azrael doesn’t believe in boundaries,” he continued, “and I understand that I’ve crossed some with Matthew, it just kept slipping my mind, but I understand if it takes some time for you to trust me again. I should have told you.”
  I rubbed my hands across my thighs, trying to calm my racing heart. “Malachi loves you, he cares about you, and from what I know of you and the business, loyalty matters a lot. He wouldn’t do it if he wasn’t scared for me.”
  Grey nodded, staring out the windshield, his eyes still troubled. “He knew I cared about you, so he was trying to help me keep you safe.” His hand tightened around the steering wheel. “I’m going to fucking kill Eris.”
  I studied the white knuckles of his grip, a needy part of me wanting to take that anger out of him in anyway I could. “It’s not your fault,” I told him carefully. “Do you think I should learn how to fight?” Was it wrong of me to be angry that all of this interrupted this morning? It was important, but fuck, why couldn’t we have finished what we had been in the middle of before we had been interrupted?
  I felt fear, I did, but it was drifting under the need to feel his cock inside of me again. God, I should really be unpacking this with a licensed professional.
  “You don’t have to. Malachi is bigger, we’re bigger than anyone else in this world. Eris fucked around with the wrong family.”
  I picked at my pants, drool pooling on my tongue. It would help him with his tension, of that I was sure. With a pounding heart, I reached for my seatbelt and unclicked it. “Your brother seemed to think—”
  “What do you want, Emily?” Grey asked tightly. “Think hard about it, because I will give you anything, all of it. I will buy you a star if that’s what you so choose. What do you want?”
  I kind of just wanted to suck his cock. I chewed on my lip, giving it real thought, but I already knew the answer. I had known it since October 9th what I had wanted. “I want to be taken care of,” I finally said, my heart slamming in my throat, my face burning bright red, the throbbing between my legs painful. “I want you to tell me what to do so that every second of every day I know that what I’m doing is something that pleases you. That’s what I want.”
  Something in my voice, or perhaps just my words, had triggered him because he finally looked over, taking me in, his eyes turning black.
  I ran my tongue over my bottom lip and watched as he immediately had to adjust himself.
  He glanced to my lips. “That’s truly what you want?”
  I nodded like the eager little mouse I was, and I could see that it was exactly what he wanted too. Maybe that’s why we had fallen so chaotically into each other. Why the universe kept pulling us together. He wanted someone to teach, I wanted to be taught. I wanted a goal, something to strive for. I wanted to excel in being his perfect little student.
  His breathing had quickened, and he immediately leaned further back in his seat, spreading his legs as far as he could while still driving safely. “You look like you need something.”
  A smile touched my lips as I shoved my bag to the ground and turned to face him.
  “Tell me what you need, Snowflake.”
  My face burned hot. I wasn’t accustomed to the dirty talk, but I could learn. “I want to suck you dry,” I replied, hoping it sounded as confident as I felt.
  His lips parted in lust. “Show me,” he instructed. “Show me how badly you need me.”
  Without hesitation, I got on my knees and leaned across the car, quickly unbuckling his belt, undoing his button, and sliding down his zipper. I pulled him free from his boxers, already hard, a drop of pre-cum smeared across his head.
  Fuck.
  I licked my lips and leaned forward, running my tongue over the small smear, pulling a shudder from his chest as he rested his arm across my back, grabbing the shifter again.
  It wasn’t the most comfortable of positions, but I didn’t care.
  I ran my tongue around his head before wrapping my lips around it and taking it in. I wrapped my hand around his shaft, pulling a groan from his lips as he shifted, his arm tightening around my back.
  I groaned, my saliva falling down his shaft, pooling around my hand, giving me a better grip on him as I stroked down to the base of him, taking a little more of him with each thrust.
  “Fuck, Emily,” he groaned, my free hand digging into the edge of the seat.
  I hollowed out my cheeks with each thrust, taking it deeper and deeper until I felt it hit the back of my throat, pulling a gagging sound from my throat, which only seemed to turn him on more.
  I set myself into a steady rhythm, absorbing every sound he made as his cock throbbed against my grip. Fuck. I just wanted to make him happy. I wanted to own his orgasms like he owned mine.
  I swirled my tongue, grazing my teeth across the underside of his shaft as I sped up, tightening my grip, my own arousal dripping down my legs. Fuck, I needed to touch myself too. I needed him to touch me.
  “Fuck, Emily, I’m going to cum.”
  Good. I wanted him to cum. I wanted to taste him on my tongue for the rest of the day. I wanted to look at him in class knowing that I had sucked him dry on the way to classes this morning.
  He thrusted up, unable to control himself as he neared his end, his cock slamming into the very back of my throat over and over again as he met each of my thrusts with one of his own, tears filling my eyes.
  “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he grabbed onto the hair at the crown of my head, slamming into me one more time before he exploded down my throat.
  I coughed, tears streaming down my face, his semen sliding up my nose, sliding down my throat. Fuck, he tasted so good. He tasted sweet and salty and so fucking good.
  When he released my head, I pulled myself off of him, gasping for air as I sat back on my heels, running my dry hand across my chin.
  I licked my lips, smiling, satisfied with my performance. “Do you have any napkins in here?”
  He chuckled, gesturing to the glove compartment.
  I giggled, pulling my legs out from under me so I could settle better in my seat. I opened the compartment, finding a gun sitting on top of a pile of napkins. I carefully pulled the napkins out, shutting it, wiping my face and handing him a few. “Sorry,” I apologized, cleaning up my hand.
  “Emily, I will gladly wear your spit on my pants like a fucking trophy if it means you’ll do that again.”
  My cheeks burned bright red as I buckled back up, Grey wiping himself down. I chewed on my lip as my eyes found the road. We were nearing the campus. Grey would park in his assigned spot, and we would be seen getting out of the car together.
  My smile fell as the nerves settled over me. The rumors about me acting like a damsel just to get into his pants would ignite again, and who knew what was circulating now after I moved out. I was a Glass, there would always be rumors about me.
  “Why did you call me Rags this morning?”
  I chewed on my lip, pulling comfort from the taste of him there. “It made me feel safe,” I answered quietly. “Comforted in the uncertainty. My own Raggedy Man.”
  “I’m happy about that, that you found comfort in me.”
  “Always,” I mumbled, my nerves growing. Azrael had been terrifying, but was it wrong for me to think that he was less terrifying than the potential of what could happen at this school?
  “Emily,” Grey started, his voice soft.
  I swallowed, tugging at my sleeves, my eyes falling to my hands. “I’m not good enough for you,” I said, watching the people in the parking lot as we pulled in. Many of them were turning around to stare, probably knowing this was his car. A lot of girls were adjusting their stances, not all of them, but enough, to look ‘hotter’ just to be seen by him. They all put so much effort into impressing him and I was just…this. Oversized sweaters, makeup only to cover the bruises, gothic wannabe, I’ve been called. Yes, I was confident in my body, but I wasn’t confident in my mind.
  Before I could have even another second of thought, Grey was whipping into the first space and slamming the car into park. He grabbed my chin, forcing my eyes towards him, his own flaming, serious. “Why would you say that?”
  I frowned. “They all believe I’m faking my issues to fuck you. Now I’m arriving at school in your car? People are cruel, Grey. They’re going to be ruthless, and I know I shouldn’t care, but how can I not? We were all bred and brainwashed to care about everything everyone else thinks about us. It’s nearly impossible to stop.”
  A smile touched one corner of his lips. “To be fair, I wanted to fuck you the night at the gas station.”
  My cheeks burned red, and I was sure my glare didn’t hit the way it was supposed to.
  He chuckled, dragging his thumb gently under my bottom lip, his gaze lingering on my lips a little too long before they found my eyes again. “Emily, you are perfect for me. Ignore them. If it helps, just think about the things I’m going to do to you in the East Wing today because I plan on doing a lot.”
  I released a breath, rubbing my hands across my thighs, my heart picking up again. I cleared my throat. “For research purposes, what are you planning on doing?”
  His smile widened as he caught his own lip between his teeth. “Come here,” he mumbled, hitting the button on his buckle.
  My breath caught and I quickly hit the release on mine, leaning in until our lips met.
  He slid his hand back into my hair, my hand sliding across the console over his thigh as his tongue slid over mine, exploring my mouth in the most sensual way possible.
  I couldn’t help but moan, deepening the kiss, wanting nothing more than to crawl over and fuck him again.
  Grey broke first, leaning his forehead against mine, both of us panting. “Fuck,” he breathed. “We should just skip today.”
  I laughed lightly, leaning back, my cheeks flushed. “Finals are soon, we both have to be here. Shouldn’t you be the responsible one?”
  He chuckled. “Not this time, not with you.” He brushed his lips by mine again and leaned back. “You’re mine, Snowflake. I’m yours. End of story.”
  “End of story,” I mumbled, glancing to his lips as I leaned back in my seat. I turned back to the school, people looking in as they walked by. We were a few rows from where the teachers parked, but I suppose that didn’t matter too much. I watched as they walked towards the school, the high of the last two days the only thing I had to hang onto. “Why snowflake?” I finally asked, picking up my bag.
  “Did you know that there isn’t a single snowflake in the world, in all of history, that is identical to another?” he asked as I found his eyes. “Not one. Just like people. Even identical twins, you’re different. Unique in your own beautiful way. Out of all of the people I have met in this world, all of the minds I have infiltrated, you are the most beautiful, the most unique. Your fractals grow in a way I have never seen before, and it ensnared me so fully. I can’t save a snowflake, eventually they will melt and a new batch will fall in a year, but you? I can keep you. I can trace your fractals until the end of my days, and I very much plan on doing that until the very last beat of my heart.”
  I searched his eyes, my heart warming. That’s what he thought of me? What he’s always thought of me?
  Grey smiled softly when I didn’t respond. “Are you okay?”
  “Yes,” I nodded, my face heating. “Yeah, I’m okay.” I searched his eyes for a moment. “What happens now?”
  His eyes were alight. “In what sense, baby?”
  I gestured between the two of us, hoping he heard the words I couldn’t find.
  His eyes shifted to the school, thoughts pouring through them far too fast for me to catch. Finally, he turned back to me. “You said you wanted to please me,” he spoke, my face immediately burning. “You said that you wanted to be taken care of, to be guided, in a sense. What does that mean to you?”
