"Oh yeah, and I pronounce you husband and wife and you can…yep, you're already kissing."
Lyssa didn't hear if he said anything else. The only thing on her mind was the next week of uninterrupted time with her husband.

When I decided to publish Double Life, it was 100% a selfish endeavor. I was still reeling over a bad breakup and all the what-ifs that didn't come to pass, so I thought, "Let me do something I do have control over." It wasn't intended to be anything other than just tossing something out into the universe and seeing what happened.
Two years after the publication of Double Life, here's the Big Bertha, the whole enchilada. The finished result of a wild hair I got at fifteen, then tugged on at twenty-six. It's the first series I've ever really, truly completed—something I wasn't actually sure I could do.
Razia has given me so much to be thankful for. I've traveled from (literally) sea to shining sea and sent books as far away as the Philippines and Malaysia. Like Lyssa's own journey, I've stumbled and fallen a few times, made some rookie mistakes that I shouldn't have made. But I believed in my girl, and I'm so proud of what we have both accomplished.
But just like Lyssa, my ego and my stubbornness can only get me so far. I couldn't have gotten this far without a rowdy cast of characters at my back.
First and foremost, thank you to my parents, Mike and Terry, for giving me the crazy idea that I could do anything I put my mind to (sorry I took it so literally). Thanks for watching my dogs while I flew to far off locations to follow my dreams, for listening to me prattle on and on about my storylines, and for generally just being great parents.
Thank you to my best friend, Valerie, for being the kind of friend you only find in the movies.
Thank you to my first beta readers, Kristin and Bex, for helping me get Double Life off the ground, and for being there through my weird times.
Thank you to Julia for being one of the most supportive humans in the universe. Seriously, I don't know which angel's good side I got on to deserve you, but I'm super thankful.
Thank you to McMullen for being there to bounce ideas off of and for bringing out my inner twelve-year-old.
Thank you to Emily for helping to bring my marketing game up a notch and for being there to listen to my flailing.
Thank you to Jen at Psychocat Reviews for being the first blogger I ever dared to have a friendship with, and for taking a chance on Double Life.
Thank you to Gina and Dani for your attention to detail.
And finally, thank you, reader, for reading and loving my little bounty hunter, even when she was being a total brat.
About the Author
S. Usher Evans was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. After a decade of fighting bureaucratic battles as an IT consultant in Washington, DC, she suffered a massive quarter-life-crisis. She decided fighting dragons was more fun than writing policy, so she moved back to Pensacola to write books full-time. She currently resides with her two dogs, Zoe and Mr. Biscuit, and frequently can be found plotting on the beach.
