FUNKADELIC (ORIGINAL P): 1981
The Parliaments members Fuzzy Haskins, Calvin Simon, and Grady Thomas (60 percent of the singing group) struck out on their own in 1981 with a one-off album. Much like Jerome Brailey’s Mutiny work, it would be highly critical of Clinton and company. They would come back a decade later using the name “Original P” on another album and a slew of touring.
