  JUNIE: 1978–2017

Originally the keyboardist (and one of the strongest vocal personalities) for the Ohio Players, Junie Morrison would go on to join George Clinton and P-Funk on some of the most commercially successful P-Funk outings to date, including “One Nation Under a Groove,” “Aqua Boogie,” “Knee Deep,” and several others. A multi-instrumentalist and master arranger, most of Junie’s best work is mostly or completely performed by Junie on all instruments and vocals, with notable exceptions, including the previously mentioned songs. His solo career is no different, with Junie handling almost all the chores from record to record (special mention to contributor Lynn Mabry on many of Junie’s most famous post–P-Funk solo albums).
