"He did what?" I asked, startled.
I thought I had misheard.
"Yeah, when we were separated briefly last school year, he took ... had a little too much to drink and then ... But wi..."
"Wait stop, you said you guys weren’t really separated."
I remembered damn well the conversation Julia and I had had back in July. At that time, she had told me that Felix and she had been separated for a short time but had continued to live together and assured me that I had nothing to worry about. And now this ... How could I not worry?
"Damn Juls, you said that between you and Felix e..."
"Everything is perfect again," she interrupted me. "And that was the truth. We swore to each other that we wouldn’t talk about it anymore and forget about it."
I couldn’t and still can’t believe that Felix had done that, and that Julia hadn’t told me.
"But," I began. Yet, Julia shook her head. "No buts, Sun. I swear to you that everything is great between Felix and me again, and I promise to tell you everything one day. But please, don’t ask me to just yet. I’ve really managed to get over it but talking about it right now would just open up all the wounds again. Please understand that."
"I do," I whispered. "But promise me that from now on you’ll come to me again whenever you’re feeling bad."
Julia nodded, "I will. I’m so glad to finally have you back here with me."
"Same here," I replied with a smile. It was clear she didn’t want to bring up that subject again, so I didn’t ask any further.
But damn it, Nici, what the hell was going on here last year that made Felix messed up like that?
Julia turned to Jennifer and shouted, "Hey, Jennifer, you’re welcome to kiss Felix’s feet on Saturday after the concert and polish his shoes for all I care. But right now, we need him to join our conversation."
Jennifer glared angrily at Julia, but apparently, she was at a loss for words, because she didn’t produce a sound. I couldn’t help laughing.
"I’m sorry," Felix grinned to the round, "but the boss has spoken."
Already he was with his girlfriend and wisecracked, "It’s enough for me if you kiss my feet, I don’t need any other for that."
After that, we turned our attention back to our real topic. We made a list of things for everyone to get.
Then today we took everything to the big gym at school. Alex took me to school in the afternoon with all the stuff that I had prepared yesterday with Little L, Anna, Julia and Boris. There we met Boris and took him back to my place.
Now we want to watch a movie and then Boris will sleep at my place, we just decided. Hahaha, you don’t know that yet. Boris’ parents think there’s something going on between him and me. If they knew... *lol*
