‘Kuh-he! Alright, I won’t tease you too much about it,’ she agreed with wry amusement. ‘Although I am a little curious about how you intend to make me pay for that teasing… my Lord.’

Boyd smirked as his tail snaked between Hope’s legs. Out loud he said, “My fallen angel, I’ve decided that I want to push your limits right now.”

His tail traced along the lips of her hot and dripping womanhood, and although she shuddered in pleasure at the careful touch, he sensed disappointment within her. “But don’t worry, I won’t let you experience the pleasure until after you’ve done a good job properly serving me… so take your time. Only when I watch you writhe in ecstasy once you are done will it make this experience perfect.”

That idea was much more appealing to his fallen angel, and she nodded her agreement as her disappointment transitioned into anticipation. She continued to lovingly service his cock with her hands, lips, and tongue as the tip of his tail brushed between her netherlips to collect some of the abundant lubrication there.

Reaching into her mind, he set a tether to the part that lit up with the sensation and drained it away, collecting it for later and numbing her to it in the moment. Then, he set to work. Boyd took advantage of his angel’s natural sensitivity to generate as much pleasure as possible by aggressively circling and rubbing her clit.

‘What? Now just wait a minute…’ Mindy said cautiously as she realized what he intended to do. ‘Don’t you dare—!’

“Ahng!” Mindy’s mental voice was cut off by a verbal moan as Boyd dumped Hope’s pleasure down a second tether he’d set in his gothic love’s brain.

Unlike Mindy, his angel was capable of achieving orgasmic levels of pleasure straight out of the gate. She didn’t require the lengthy warmup that Mindy did to climax, and Boyd had just dumped that stimulus directly into his darkest love’s pleasure center. This pushed her general arousal at the situation and his big hand—which had never stopped kneading her amazing ass—right into an orgasm that had her twitching against him and clutching onto his shoulder.

‘Ohhh… You little shit!’ Her mental voice carried a moan that belied her loving nickname for him. ‘Fine, if you’re going to play it like—’

“AHH!” Her telepathic voice was once again cut off by a cry of ecstasy as he hit her with another wash of Hope’s pleasure as his angel continued to worship his cock. Mindy clutched and shivered against him as intense pleasure coursed through her unprepared form.

“Alright, Hope,” Mindy gasped when she was finally able to speak again, “It’s time to show you something that will drive him wild.” She reached down to stroke the angel’s golden hair again.

Hope pulled off of Boyd, took a deep breath, and then plunged forward to bury his length in her throat again.

Boyd let out a groan as she began to swallow at the head and top few inches of his cock as her tongue writhed against his base. He expected her to pull away after a moment, but she just kept at it. Only after more than a minute of this did Boyd realize that Mindy was taking advantage of Hope’s efficient lungs. She could keep it up for longer than he would be able to restrain himself, especially since Mindy had reached inside his mind to metaphysically wrestle away control of the ability he was using to suppress his own pleasure.

With a tether to each of them and experiencing enough pleasure to disrupt his control a little, Boyd was left with the choice of giving up one of the tethers or regaining control over that part of his Power. He decided to double down on his efforts to see if he couldn’t break Mindy’s concentration first.

His tail started to vibrate as he plunged it into his angel’s depths, seeking out her most sensitive spots and attacking them relentlessly. This generated enough pleasure that he was sure it would quickly overwhelm any of his loves. So, instead of sending it all to his gothic love he began to fill a box. From there, he sent her an increasing crescendo of exquisite pleasure along with the occasional sudden outpouring of sexual heat that would get her right up to the line.

“Ahhn!” Mindy cried out as the next rush of heat pushed her over the edge into another orgasm and she twisted around to push herself up as she mashed her lips into his in a passionate kiss. He felt the itch across his angel’s Bond as she made Hope start to rock back and forth just a little, adding a pulling and pushing sensation to the tightness of her continuously swallowing throat.

Both women were deeply in the moment, luxuriating in pleasure—both giving and receiving. He sensed that Hope understood what was happening and the fact that her pleasure was being given to another of his lovers created a special kind of thrill for her. The fact that it obviously had such an effect on the Mind Powered made it even more special.

Meanwhile, Mindy was surprised by how good being bombarded with pleasure felt, with the mental struggle to keep Boyd from controlling his own reactions providing some extra spice.

Soon, he was at his limit. With a grunt he dumped another orgasm’s worth of pleasure into Mindy before letting himself follow her over the edge. Under Mindy’s guidance, his angel simply left his pulsing cock deep in her throat and she swallowed the first jet that he released before pulling back to collect the rest in her mouth. Hope hummed her appreciation as Mindy cried.

She shivered and trembled against him once more.

Mindy stretched her Power then, exerting control over both Hope and Boyd. As soon as he finished filling his angel’s eager mouth, she crawled up to straddle his lap, reached between them, and impaled herself on his cock. Boyd moved in sync with her and Mindy as the black-haired goth shifted to spread her pillowy thighs to allow his tail to slowly enter her dripping heat.

Then, Hope leaned forward and Mindy leaned in too, until his two loves kissed directly in front of him. With Hope’s mouth still full of his release, they were soon sharing it back and forth. Boyd groaned as his angel rode his still rigid cock while his tail working its way in and out of Mindy.

‘Use that pleasure to make us both cum again and then follow us over the edge,’ she moaned in his mind. ‘I don’t know if I’ll be able to do what I need to do for much longer now that you’ve gotten us both going.’

Boyd did as requested, and then got to enjoy the sight of his gothic love and angel moaning into a kiss while sharing what portion of his cum they had yet to swallow. He found it wasn’t all that hard to trigger a second climax of his own, despite it being so soon after his last. As he did, he felt Mindy do… something… in his head.

Suddenly, all three of them merged into something like what they experienced when first welcoming a woman into his Devoted. He sensed Mindy take control of it and use it to show Hope something of herself—her passionate love for him and the more platonic version she held for the women in his life. After a brief moment, the state ended as abruptly as it began, and the kiss they shared became languid as they came down from their high together.

The kiss ended tenderly, and Hope breathed, “I’m sorry I ever doubted you, sister.”

  “It’s okay, sister,” Mindy replied.

Boyd smiled at the pleased contentment that filled both of their Bonds.

Hope returned a radiant smile, then began rocking up and down on his cock again as she asked sweetly, “Would you please show me the different ways he likes to be ridden next?”

“Kuh-he!” Mindy giggled. “I promised to control him only for a short while… but if your Lord doesn’t mind, I suppose I could show you a few tricks.”

  “That would be… acceptable.”

Boyd was only marginally successful when he tried not to sound too eager. He wasn’t sure how much time had passed already, but he had been told to set a couple of hours aside for them… and he planned to make good use of every single minute.

  Chapter 39

Laura let out a sigh as they reset the chessboard. She had to move a lot more pieces from the side of the board back into their starting positions than Boyd did—and she paused to study each one for a moment before she did. She admired each black pawn before she set them back onto the board.

The chess set Tinker had made for Boyd was amazing.

Each pawn was a miniature Boyd—and not all in the same pose. Both the white King and the black King were Boyd, as well. The black King’s eyes, tail, fists, and wings blazed with his black flame, while the white King flexed as he threw his head back in a primal roar.

The black Queen was Mind Witch in her full gothic splendor, while the white Queen was a Silvie that floated an inch above her piece’s base. For black, a goth Silvie was one of the bishops—with a white corseted Mindy serving as a white bishop. Raev was the other bishop for both white and black. The black Kitsune went full goth as she leaned forward with her tails spread in a fan behind her while the white one blew a kiss with one hip cocked out to the side.

The knights for each side were Hope and Tinker. Laura had learned that she could throw Boyd a bit off his game if she toyed with the goth Hope figure. His golden eyes locked onto the figurine unerringly each time she acted like she was going to take it. And he blinked a few times and had to study the board for a moment each time she moved her piece back away from it.

The nurse had to admit the angel’s figurine did look smoking hot in a black choker and babydoll.

The white knight was Tinker, bent forward at the waist to flash some cleavage and cute as a button in a pale pink romper, while holding up a sonic driver. The goth version wore some black armor that included a panel of blue and red lights on her chest and held an odd black helmet under one arm while brandishing what looked to be a red laser sword. For some reason, Boyd had said ‘Tink-vader’—as he called her black knight—was his favorite piece on the board. His reaction to the other angelic black knight said otherwise.

Laura was almost disappointed in her own figurines—she and Daisy were the rooks. Her own white rook had the nurse scowling down at a medical chart that if you looked close enough was Boyd’s. Her black rook had black garters and black lingerie peeking out from under a white lab coat as she smirked while holding up a massive nerve-stim in one hand. She had to swallow a giggle every time Boyd shuddered before picking up that piece.

Daisy’s rook figurines were downright modest compared to everyone else’s pieces. Her black rook stirred chocolate cake batter in a bowl while wearing her trademark black dress pants and a white-short-sleeve blouse. The fairy woman’s white rook had her serving a piece of white cake while wearing a pale blue sundress under a white apron. She wasn’t sure if Daisy would be thrilled or disappointed to know that Boyd hardly gave her figurines a second glance when moving them.

She finally got her side set back up—holding onto the white king for a long moment before setting it down and then moving the pawn in front of it forward two spaces.

Boyd snickered when she did, then rumbled, “I was wondering if I shouldn’t ask if you and your king don’t need to get a room.”

“If that’s an option, why are we playing chess?” she retorted.

Boyd sputtered, coughing up the water he’d been taking a sip of. Finally able to catch a breath as he wiped his chin, the big demon scowled at his opponent. “Stick to the game, trainee,” he growled.

It wasn’t that she was bad at chess. In fact, she was proving to be a quick study. But the big demon had cut his teeth on the game at six against a man who had mastered it. And this chess master didn’t believe in going easy on children.

“Your tactical play is improving each round, and it looks like you picked up the Danish Gambit somewhere. Doing a little research on the side, are we?” Boyd asked with a smirk.

Laura leaned back in a leather armchair that was much nicer than the rickety classroom chairs Boyd had learned the game in. They were in his office—the ‘Big Guy’s Study’, as the floorplan labeled it. Two very comfortable chairs had been set up on either side of a chess table they apparently had on hand.

It was a hand-carved rosewood table, inlaid with a black and white marble board complete with intricate scrollwork around the border. It was a present from Mindy, and she’d saved it for whenever an occasion to give it to him arose. She counted taking on his first official Trainee as just such an occasion.

Unfortunately for the Mind Powered, it was far overshadowed by Tinker’s gift of the chess set itself. The chair he sat in was also a gift from Tinker, a custom-made chair constructed from the same materials as their smart beds. It was nearly as comfortable as the command chair on the Osprey. His tail lazily writhed on the floor behind him as his wings rested over the back of the chair.

His trainee sat across from him wearing a snug, sage green tank top that complimented her eyes and complexion with a pair of charcoal leggings with mesh paneling on the sides. Her medium brown hair was in a messier bun than the one she’d worn for her morning training. She’d changed for their chess matches after a practical skills session with Silvie.

“Maybe just a touch of research,” Laura admitted, then held her hand up with her thumb and pointer finger almost touching. “Not that it seems to have helped.”

“The Danish Gambit is very aggressive, and you aren’t an aggressive player,” Boyd said with his signature one-shoulder shrug. “It isn’t the right opening for you. Plus, as you learned the hard way, it’s easily countered by solid development.”

Laura at scowled him. “It seems like everything I try is countered by that solid development of yours. No matter what I do…” Her complaint trailed off as she took in the self-righteous grin on his face.

Her scowl faded into a small frown of resignation. “I’m starting to realize this was the whole point of playing chess, wasn’t it?”

“It is one of the first lessons chess can teach someone of our profession,” Boyd confirmed with a pleased smile.

Laura was officially a Hero Trainee at this point. He’d secretly registered her as an adjunct member of the Devoted, pending the completion of her training. She was no longer simply civilian base support.

“There are many more lessons you can learn from the game, so we’ll keep at it until you pick up a few of the more important ones. You don’t have to be a tactical genius to be a Hero, Laura, but you do have to grasp the basics. Chess is a great way to learn them.”

Still wearing the small frown of resignation, she nodded.

“For example,” Boyd brought them back around to the first real lesson she had learned from their matches, “by getting my knights, bishops, rooks, and queen to active, effective squares, I can use them to control key parts of the board. From those positions, they are prepared to both attack and to defend. To do that properly, I need to support them with a solid pawn structure. Because I know how to do that, neutralizing the initial surge of the Danish Gambit is simple.”

She recalled his opening moves in their last game.

He gave her another shrug. “Then, I pressed that advantage I earned through my solid development and mopped you up in the middle game.”

“And how does chess, with all of its strict rules, translate to real-world situations that are often chaotic?” Laura asked. Her skepticism was plain—both in her eyes and her tone. “I’m given to understand that Powered Criminal Events or incursions of Wild Lands’ creatures are fairly disorderly. There’s no taking turns, neat squares to stay in, or pieces that move in predictable ways.”

Boyd smirked. “It’s a Hero’s responsibility to restore order to whatever chaos something or someone with Powers causes. I would say that understanding what order should look like is fairly important.”

He let his smirk shift into a wry grin before he continued. “But no, learning chess is not considered a vital skill for a Hero. I thought it would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone—both as a good way for me to start converting some of the skills you’ve gained and thought processes to something that I can work with, and to teach you the basics of tactics.”

“Something that you can work with?” Laura arched a brow dangerously.

“You’re an exceptionally intelligent and determined woman who isn’t afraid of a challenge, or the hard work required to master it,” Boyd said with a smile. “But as talented as you are, you would be a shit Hero as you currently stand. I don’t think you would survive your first encounter with a Powered Criminal, and you already used up your beginner’s luck with that stunt the other day.”

“You’re never going to let me live that down, are you?” Laura grumbled and then sighed, giving him a small frown. She had stopped defending her actions after rehashing the argument for a third time.

But Boyd kept bringing it back up, pushing the point until he was sure she’d learned her lesson properly.

“I’m counting it as a learning experience.” Boyd shrugged. “I’ll stop bringing it up once I believe that you aren’t defending the stupidity of the action in your head every time I do. And don’t bother denying that you still think you were in the right.” He leaned forward over the table, brows drawing together. “If you do, I’ll just go back to being pissed at your reckless behavior.” Boyd watched as Laura resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

She managed to limit her response to a scowl. “I acknowledge that what I did was reckless, but I still think what I did was right.”

“That’s a start,” Boyd allowed. “But it’s not enough to get me to stop using it as a learning point. Just like in chess, doing the right thing is crucial—but executing the right thing with precision after fully considering the timing and potential reactions to your action, is equally important. Acting impulsively or without assessing the risks causes more harm than good in real-world situations.”

“I did assess the risks,” Laura began to defend herself again. “I understood that I might die, but…”.

Boyd raised a hand to cut her off. It was rude, but she was still his trainee during these games. “You assessed the risks as a Trauma Specialist—one with a little too much courage than is good for her. You knew how to help the patients; all you had to do was get to them. You were confident that you could safely run that distance. You’d obviously watched the training video on how to run while under fire. You zig-zagged and everything.”
