Safe Place, page 21
Aydin laughed. "I'd forgotten about all that. The pizza was supposed to be your dinner. Prince and Trevor showed up to talk to me about a business proposition and brought it over. The paperwork, well that is what they wanted to talk about. I'm going to be working on helping Prince handle the accounting at the bakery. It's a mess. He doesn't write anything down or save receipts or anything. I'm going to still go in early to help him in the mornings, then stay there instead of working at Trevor's. I'll be going through the file cabinets and all the paperwork, trying to make heads or tails out of the mess. They brought over some of the papers so I could start sorting them, not knowing how long I'd be stuck at home. That's what I was doing when Jason showed up. You don't mind I used your office, do you?"
Kent rolled, pinning Aydin beneath him. "It's our home. I don't mind you making yourself comfortable. It's what I want."
Aydin stared up at him, feeling Kent's arousal against his thigh. "You really want me to move in?"
"I wouldn't ask if I didn't mean it. I don't want what we've shared the last few weeks to change. I'm so much happier with you there. I used to hate being home because it was so quiet. You've given it and me new life. I'm not one to beg, but I will if it helps." Kent leaned down and caught Aydin's mouth for a kiss.
Aydin lifted his legs and wrapped them around Kent's back, pulling him down against him. He rocked his hips, letting Kent feel that he was turned on as well. Kissing him back, he let go of everything that had weighed so heavily on him before and just lost himself in Kent. Today he was finally free of his past and able to move forward to find happiness, and maybe even love again. He wanted that to be with Kent. When Kent broke the kiss, Aydin stared up at him. "I'll stay with you, but we work out a fair split on bills. If we're going to be together, it means we do everything together, including paying bills."
"So romantic." Kent laughed. "But I accept. If I play my cards right, maybe I can convince you to move into my room as well." He kissed a trail up Aydin's neck.
"Maybe. Did you bring condoms?" He would have to start buying his own just in case. Not that he'd been thinking about sex when they'd packed bags to come here this morning.
"I did. The four we didn't use last time we stayed here."
"Perfect." Aydin nipped at Kent's bottom lip, then lifted his hips again. They were both naked, having dried off after their shower and falling into bed. He caressed his hands down Kent's back. He was slowly memorizing Kent's body, knowing what places were sensitive, others ticklish. He loved every inch of him. "Think you can make me forget the last twenty-four hours?"
"I think I'm up for that." A thrust of his hips told Aydin just how up for it Kent was.
"Good, because I need to feel you. I want it so hard that we fall back asleep after exhausted." Aydin reached between them and stroked Kent's cock.
"No pillow talk?" Kent bit Aydin's shoulder.
"When we wake back up. Right now, I need to forget everything but you." Aydin gave Kent's cock a squeeze then stroked him again.
"You're going to have to let me up to get the condoms." Kent kept thrusting his hips, feeding his cock into Aydin's hands. "Keep that up and we won't need them."
Aydin laughed. "I love how easy it is to get you off."
"Only with you. I've never had a hair trigger like I do with you. There's something about the way you touch me…" Kent shook his head. "I can't explain it."
"You don't need to. I feel it too. So intense at times I think I'll die from the pleasure." He released Kent's cock. "Grab the condoms."
As Kent moved from the bed, Aydin tossed back the covers, then situated the pillows before going to his knees and pushing his ass into the air. He rested his head on the pillow, his cock hard in anticipation of what was about to happen.
"Wow, right to business." Kent slapped Aydin's ass. "I love turning around and finding your ass ready for the taking." He caressed his hand over one ass cheek. "You have no idea how much you turn me on."
"Show me." Aydin glanced back at him.
"It will be my complete pleasure." Kent tossed the lube and condom onto the bed, then crawled up behind Aydin. He ran his hands over the globe of his ass for a moment, then parted the cheeks and pressed his mouth to Aydin's hole.
"Shit." Aydin gripped the sheet beneath him. "I didn't expect that."
A muffled laugh came from Kent, then he swiped his tongue along Aydin's hole.
Aydin gasped as he closed his eyes and focused on the pleasure. When Kent reached down and grasped his balls, gently pulling and rolling them, Aydin worried he'd lose complete control. His cock was already like steel with precum leaking down the side of the head. He was sure one touch might set him off. He rocked his hips, moving his ass over Kent's tongue, using it shamelessly for the pleasure it brought him. Kent made him feel things he'd never dreamed his body could feel. The connection was so intense. He couldn't understand how one person's touch could feel so much better than another, but it did. There was something to whatever chemistry was behind two people connecting and he connected with Kent in a way that was mind-blowing. "Stop, I want you in me when I come." Aydin pulled his ass forward, away from Kent's hungry mouth.
"One day I'm going to force you to let me do that until I make you come." Kent reached for the condom, tore open the package, pulled it free, and rolled it on.
"You almost did now." Aydin tried to ignore the cool air against his now wet ass that only intensified his arousal. "It doesn't matter where you use that tongue, it makes me wild."
Kent laughed as he dripped lube over Aydin's ass. "Good to know my tongue holds such power."
"You have no idea." Aydin went up on his arms, pressing his ass back as Kent got into position. "Don't be gentle. I need hard and wild tonight."
"You take what you need, and I'll pray I can last until you get there." Kent pressed a hand to Aydin's spine while using the other to guide his cock.
Aydin watched over his shoulder until Kent's cock touched his hole. He then lowered his head and pressed back, opening himself as Kent slid into him. The stretch was exactly what he needed, and as the fullness of Kent's body inside his took hold, Aydin moaned. They fit together so perfectly, like the final two pieces of a puzzle, finding completion and perfection together.
Kent started to move slowly at first, sliding back and forth at a steady but calm pace as they both adjusted to one another, but it didn't take long before he picked up speed and his grip on Aydin's hips tightened. "I swore I wouldn't tell you this during sex, but I can't keep it to myself any longer. When I didn't know if you were safe last night, it all hit me. I'm in love with you, Aydin. I never dreamed I could care about someone the way I do you, but it's happened. The thought of losing you last night gutted me." Kent continued to thrust into him with strong, steady strokes as he spoke. "I realized as I raced to the house that what I felt was love. I love you."
Aydin turned his head to look back at Kent. His cock ached, his body was on fire with desire, but more than that, his heart was ready to burst. He'd been through so much. Thought he'd found love in the past, but it was nothing compared to what he felt for Kent. It wasn't just in the way he felt, it was in the fire when they made love, the electrical current when they touched. It was a combination of everything that was so out of this world he couldn't wrap his mind around it. "I love you too." Aydin gasped the words between thrusts.
"Thank God." Kent slapped his ass again as he picked up even more speed, his thrusts hard and determined as he reached around Aydin's body and found his cock.
Aydin pushed up, raising up on his knees, pressing his back to Kent's chest as they rocked their bodies together, moving as one. Kent's hand on his cock was trying to match the rhythm of his thrusts, but it didn't matter if it was off a bit. It was the tightness of his fist, the slickness as precum coated his shaft. He had a million things he wanted to say, but words failed him as his entire body flooded with pleasure.
"I'm going to come." Kent's teeth bit into his shoulder.
"Yes." Aydin was right there too, his body tight, his balls heavy, and his heart racing. He could tell he was going to come hard, and it almost scared him with the intensity of the buildup he was feeling. "I'm there." He quit holding back and gave in to the pleasure.
Kent's body tightened and tensed against him and together they came, both grunting out their pleasure, bodies contracting, cocks pulsing, and cum flowing.
It took several minutes before either of them moved or spoke. Aydin was the first to ease his head back on Kent's shoulder. "It gets better and better each time."
Kent kissed his forehead. "Imagine how good we'll be in thirty years."
Aydin laughed. "If we can still move by then."
Kent eased back, pulling slowly from Aydin's body. "Let me get rid of this condom and I'll be right back."
"I need to wipe off. I made a mess." Aydin stood on shaky legs. Cum covered his chest and stomach. "Didn't want to aim for the headboard. Thought it would be worse to clean that off."
"Don't know how you were able to think clearly enough to even worry about it. I was so lost I couldn't have."
"It wasn't easy. If I hadn't thought of it before we started, I wouldn't have once we got going. You blow my mind." Aydin followed Kent to the bathroom. He wet a towel and wiped off as Kent disposed of the condom. Once Kent was done, Aydin grabbed him and pulled him tight to his chest. "Now that I can do this face to face, I love you."
Kent smiled. "I love you too." He kissed him soft but long.
When he pulled back Aydin laughed. "It was mean to tell me during sex when I could hardly get words out."
"I know. And I know you should never say it for the first time during sex, but I couldn't hold it in anymore. I wanted to tell you last night, but there was so much going on. So many others around. Then I started to worry, what if you didn't feel the same? In the end, I figured you deserved to know how I felt, even if you didn't feel the same yet."
"I think I fell in love with you the night you rescued me on the kitchen floor. I just didn't know it yet. I remember not wanting you to leave. Wanting you to stay with me while the paramedics worked on me." Aydin touched his cheek with his palm. "I'd be a fool to ignore what we have. You're nothing like him."
"I never will be. I promise you that I will never try and control you. Never take your friends from you. Never lift a hand in anger at you. I will do all I can to make your life better and show you how much I love you every day."
Tears stung Aydin's eyes. "I love you so much. You didn't have to say all that. I know."
"Good. Now, how about we head back to bed, order room service, and get on with that pillow talk we discussed earlier?"
Aydin laughed as they walked back to the bed, feeling happy and in control of his life for the first time in years.
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
"I'm not ready for winter." Aydin pulled what would probably be the last of the tomatoes from the plant in the garden. He loved sitting outside with Kent and was thankful he'd had a few mandated days off work after the shooting to spend together.
"I know. Winters are long when I can't sit back here and enjoy the fresh air. Not that I don't come sit out on the patio from time to time, but I never did do well with the cold."
"You have me to help keep you warm now." Aydin put the tomato in the bowl they'd brought out and turned to look at the pumpkins. "I think those should be ready for carving next week."
"You could probably pull a couple of them this week to use for baking." Kent grinned.
"You hinting at something?" Aydin laughed. "Want me to bake?"
"I wouldn't complain if you did." Kent rubbed his stomach. "In fact, I'd be willing to run to the store if you'd make one of those apple things you made a few weeks ago."
"The fritter? Yeah, I can make those. Prince taught me to make those. They're one of his top products at the bakery. Really easy to make. I just need some apples. I think I have everything else, but I'll check. We could use some more eggs too, I think. I'll make us a list and go with you this afternoon." Aydin loved how easily they were settling into things. They'd sat down and worked out a financial arrangement so Aydin didn't feel as if he was living off Kent. The rest came easy since they'd been living together already. The only change they'd made was that Aydin had moved into Kent's bedroom the day they'd come home from the hotel.
It had only been a few days since the shooting and they'd been hiding out, trying to avoid the news crews that kept showing up at the house, hoping for an interview. So far, other than the police, Aydin hadn't told anyone what happened that night. He didn't have plans to. It was over and done with. He just wanted to move on. The issue was the media was hounding him for his story. Some even offering to pay him to sit down and discuss everything. He wanted nothing to do with it. His entire focus was on the future, not on the past.
"You excited to go back to work Monday?" Kent asked.
"Yeah, but I'm going to miss Trevor's. I do love the bakery more, but Trevor's was fun too. What I am looking forward to is accounting again. I've missed it. I'm dreading sorting out Prince's mess, but once I get it all done, going forward it should be easy."
Kent's phone rang and he reached for it.
Aydin went back to searching the garden for anything they might have missed. A frost was coming Saturday night and he wanted to make sure everything was picked before it could be ruined.
"Aydin, it's for you," Kent called across the lawn. "It's Jay."
"Problem?" Aydin asked as he walked over.
Kent shrugged.
"Hello?" Aydin asked once he took the phone.
"Hey, it's Jay. I got a call today from Congressman William's people. The congressman would like a meeting with you this afternoon if possible. I told them I'd talk to you and get back to them. Evidently, the congressman is willing to work around your schedule."
Aydin sat down at the patio table. "What does he want?" He worried this was his worst fear coming true and they'd try to blame him for Jason's actions.
"I don't know. The person I spoke with claimed even they didn't know what the congressman wanted to speak to you about. I suggested a phone call, but they insist you meet in person. I'm willing to hold the meeting in my office this afternoon if you're interested," Jay told him.
Aydin wasn't sure what to do. He'd met the congressman several times, but they were never friendly. He had to be grieving over his son. The question was, did he blame Aydin for what happened? Did he want revenge in some way? Was it even safe for him to meet the man in person? "What do you think I should do, Jay?"
"It can't hurt to meet with him. I wouldn't suggest a private meeting. I'd have either Kent or myself there with you to witness everything said."
Aydin nodded. "I'd want you there for sure. I don't trust the man. He's almost as bad as his son."
"Understood. So do you want me to set up the meeting?" Jay asked.
"Yeah. We're free all afternoon, so whenever is good for you. I'll talk to him under the condition that you and Kent are both in the room with me when we speak." Aydin glanced over at Kent. "There's nothing he can do to blame me for this, is there?"
"Not a thing. You've got nothing to worry about. Listen to what he has to say and if he gets angry or out of line I'll have security escort him out of the building," Jay promised. "I'll talk to them and let you know a time. I call you back in a few."
"Thanks, Jay." Aydin hung up the phone and sighed as he looked at Kent. "The congressman wants a meeting this afternoon with me. You'll go with me, right?"
"Of course. Did Jay know what it's about?" Kent looked worried.
"Nope, they didn't say, but I can't imagine it's good. He's going to want someone to blame for his son's death. He'll blame me for leaving Jason."
"I'm the one who shot him, let him blame me." Kent reached for Aydin's hand. "You don't have to meet with him. You owe him nothing."
"I know, but I'm kind of curious what he'll say. I want to know if he'd deny what his son did. If he'll defend him even now." Aydin linked his fingers with Kent's. "I also want him to see that I didn't let his son take me down. That I'm stronger than ever and nothing his son did to me will stop me from living my life and being happy."
"Good. That's what I want to hear." Kent leaned over and kissed him. "We'll meet with the congressman, then I'll take you out to dinner. We can put off shopping until tomorrow."
"I'd like that. Tomorrow, we can invite Matt over if he's free and I'll cook for both of you," Aydin offered. He wanted to make sure Matt and Kent kept hanging out and that Matt never felt like a third wheel around them. Matt had become a good friend over the few weeks Aydin had lived next door to him and he enjoyed the time they all spent together.
"Deal. Will you make that marinate for steaks with the chili and pineapple?" Kent asked as the phone rang again.
Aydin gave him a thumbs up and answered Kent's phone since he saw Jay's name on the screen. He really had to go get his own phone. Things had just been so crazy. "Hey, Jay."
"Hi. The congressman will be at my office at four. You're welcome anytime after three if you want to get here before he does. That's up to you. I still have no idea what this is about, and trust me, I tried to find out. I get the feeling he's not happy having to go through your attorney to contact you."
"He could have showed up at the door. If the media knows where I live, he would too," Aydin said.
"My guess is the media is exactly why he didn't show up at your place. I'm sure it's a nightmare for the congressman's team right now. Both here and in Washington D.C.. The national news has the story," Jay informed him.
"I know. Someone from CNN knocked on the door yesterday afternoon. It's been crazy with reporters trying to get me to talk. Kent just sends them all packing. I have no desire to talk to anyone at this point. I just want it all behind me. I want to move on." Aydin smiled at Kent. "After this meeting today, hopefully, I can put this part of my life behind me and just focus on the future."
"I'd say you're already doing that," Jay said. "I'll see you both around four. If you need me for anything before that, don't hesitate to call."
