  “Good girl.”

She shivers in my arms. I know I just made her ten-thousand times wetter than she was before.

Her gaze goes to the door. “The lock on that thing has been faulty for a while. We’re going to have to make it quick, and not take too many clothes off. But I need you inside me. My body has ached for you since the last time we were together.”

I’m as hard as a rock at her words. I groan under my breath. “I never knew you had such an adventurous side to you, baby. If you don’t mind being a bit of an exhibitionist, I have so many things we could try out together.”

Her fingers curl into the hair at the back of my neck. “I’ll try anything once, and things I like we can repeat again, and again. Like you spanking, but not here. I don’t think I can stay quiet with you doing that.”

I grin. “Nor is it a quiet act. Someone would be bound to hear us at some point and come snooping.”

I look around the room and spot a sturdy-looking crate, along with a shelving unit with grating in the top that’s anchored to the wall so it won’t come down.

Taking her over to the crate, I stand her on it. It makes her waist the perfect height to be able to thrust into her without contorted angles from either of us. Going to the door, I make sure it’s securely closed followed by the one that leads out the alley. I’ll keep an ear out, but hopefully, her goons don’t come looking for her. I don’t think they knew who I was, just that I was on the list of safe people. By the end of this day, I’m going to be her official boyfriend. I’m going to need to speed up that proposal now that we have a baby on the way.

The news makes me so happy. She stands on the crate and leans on the shelves. “Are you going to just secure the room, or are you going to come over here and make me remember how that thick cock of yours feels.”

Hearing her speak like that is such a turn on. She’s not normally so forward, but it appears I bring it out in her and I like it.

I raise a brow at her. “Baby, we might be having a quickie, but you best believe I’m going to make sure you’re wet enough for me before I make you remember anything about my cock.”

Another shiver moves through her and I lean down to kiss her before I crouch on the cement. Undoing her jeans I peel them off her hips along with her underwear and leave them around her ankles. I want her to be able to pull them up quickly if any asshole comes here to see what is happening. I kiss each of her thighs before I lean forward to run my tongue along her slit to her clit.

She spreads her legs more for me, hooking her fingers into the grating of the shelf. She’s so wet, but she tastes so good. I stare up into her eyes as I continue to lap at her outer folds and flick my tongue against her clit.

Josie bites at her lip as small whimpers leave her. Her gaze shoots to the door and every time she does she gets wetter. The thought that she might be as kinky as I am makes my cock strain as hard as it can against my slacks. I never wanted to imagine our innocent Josie to be wild in the bedroom, but she’s turning out to be my perfect opposite. I think she would like to be submissive from time to time, and maybe doing some other things where there’s a high chance we could get caught.

She turns around and sticks her plump ass in my face. Giving me better access to her. It’s also a risk because my head might block her, but there’s still a chance anyone could walk in and get an eyeful of her beautiful pussy.

I run my tongue from her clit, along her slit, to her entrance. She rocks back on my tongue as I delve it inside. Sweet, like honey. I hum, letting the vibrations carry from my tongue to her.

She’s dripping and her whimpers are getting louder. “Please, Cason, fuck me. I can’t take it anymore. I want your cock to stretch me.”

I stand and glance toward the door.

She sticks her ass out more and hangs on to the shelf. God, she really is a sight for sore eyes. I missed her so much, in every way. And this welcome home was better than I imagined it would be. Undoing my slacks I leave them around my waist, when doing something like this, it’s best to not undress for when you might have to make a run for it. Nothing worse than trying to grab your clothes as you’re running for your life butt naked. I may or may not be speaking from personal experience.

Positioning the head of my cock at her entrance, I have to bite back a moan as I watch it disappear into her slick heat. Her inner walls flex around me and I grab onto her ass to steady us both.

She gasps. “Oh god, that angle. It’s like you’re stretching me and filling me up until you can’t fit.”

I grip her ass harder at her words as I slide halfway out and slam back into her. I don’t have to be as gentle with her anymore.

She groans and brings one of her hands up to cover her mouth. I do it again creating a steady pace as I piston in and out of her. The sounds of skin slapping together fill the brick room.

More small moans leave her as she holds onto the shelf with both hands and spreads her legs apart as far as they will go. Lifting my left hand off her ass, I place it over her mouth before I slap a plump cheek with my other. Smack. I love seeing her ass jiggle around my cock.

My hand over my mouth muffles her cries of pleasure. I slap her ass again, leaving behind a handprint mark. I rub at it, soothing the tender flesh before I wrap my arm around her to find her clit and stroke it.

Her passage spasms around me as she comes, her cries still muffle by my hand. My balls clench and in the next second I’m coming hard. I give one final thrust and still. I glance back at the door. I don’t think anyone heard us, or if they did they had enough sense not to open that door.

She leans on the shelf as her legs shake under her and she catches her breath. It was a fast one, but she better believe I’m going to have a longer session with her tonight and for the rest of our lives. Though, while she’s pregnant, I’m going to have to be lighter on her than I would if she wasn’t. I don’t want to do anything that could hurt our child. There will be plenty of time after they’re born to see what her limits are.

I slowly pull myself from her.

She whimpers, “I wish you could stay inside me forever.”

A light chuckle leaves me. “I think that would make walking and getting around difficult. Plus people would stare.”

Josie turns her head to look at me as she shakily grabs her jeans and hoists them up. “Those are technicalities.”

I’m sad to see the red marks on her pert ass get hidden, but I like that both of us know they’re there. “If you find a way to make it work, baby, I’m down. Will you come with me to speak with your father? I set a meeting up with him and it’s in an hour from now. I want to tell him everything and lay it out. There’s nothing he could say or do to keep me from you and my baby, so he’ll just have to live with it.”

She blinks at me with wide eyes. “Everything, everything, or the lie and that we’re in love?”

I cup her face before I lean down to capture her lips. I pull back. “Everything, as in all of it. I did a lot of thinking while I was away and I decided, I don’t want to start our life together on lies. Even if it’s not to each other, but the people close to us.”

Her hand comes up to hold mine to her face. “I think telling him the truth will be good, even if it scares me. I don’t want him to kill you.”

I shake my head. “I don’t think he will if he knows you’re pregnant with my baby.”

  Chapter Twenty

  Josie

Cason’s right, we need to be honest with everyone in our lives, so that we can be successful as a couple and live a long, healthy life together. That being said, I’m still scared out of my mind to talk to my father about what’s been really going on in my life the past couple of weeks.

I’m hoping with me there he won’t try to kill Cason. I reach out to take hold of his hand as we head toward his office. His assistant sits out in front of it at her desk. Her gaze falls to our joined hands and she raises a brow. I don’t know how much she knows about the histories of our families, but the look on her face says that she knows enough.

She presses a button near a speaker on her desk. “Sir, your one o’clock is here.”

My father’s voice comes through the other end. “Send him in.”

So he doesn’t know I’m here with Cason. Well, this is going to be a shock for him.

Cason opens one of the doors for me and allows me through first before he pulls it closed behind him.

My father sits at his grand, mahogany desk. He would never admit it to anyone, but he had it custom-built as an almost replica of the one in the Oval office. I think he had and may still have dreams of being the President of the United States one day. Honestly, now that I know more about him, the thought is terrifying.

He types on his laptop and doesn’t pay us any mind for a minute or so, it’s clear that he’ll pay attention to us on his own time and Cason seems fine with that.

After a moment he finally glances up and does a double-take when he sees me. “Oh, I didn’t realize you would be here as well. It’s nice to see you, Josephine. To what do I owe the pleasure of you being here as well. I can’t say I see the correlation of why you would be here to speak business with Mr. Bancroft and me.”

I hold my tongue. He’s the only person in the world to use my full name, and it normally only when my presence annoys him. I guess he can’t talk mafia shop with Cason if I’m here.

I look at Cason. Not sure if he wants me to take the lead on this or if I should. He clears his throat. “Sir. I haven’t come here on business as I led you to believe. I needed to speak with you about the recent events regarding Josie’s kidnapping. Sacha did not take your daughter, I did. She saw me kill Sacha by accident when she returned to the bakery that night, and as you know we don’t leave witnesses, but I knew she wasn’t a typical witness. So I hid her away until I was certain she would not pose a threat to anyone by going to the cops.”

My father’s jaw clenches and he shifts in his chair. “I see.”

I step forward. “Daddy, I’ve been in love with Cason for as long as I can remember, and I never thought he would give me the time of day until all that happened. I know you want us to keep the promise or whatever, but it’s been broken and I don’t want what I have with him to end.”

He slams his hand down on his desk. “It’s not just about a promise, Josephine, it’s about having integrity!”

I stand straighter. “Well, I’d rather choose love. And I have. Cason wanted to tell you the truth. His father knows about us and gives his blessing. I don’t care if you bless us. I’m going to be with him. We thought we could come by to give you the courtesy of finding out from us rather and hearing it secondhand. And you’ll be the first outside of us to know that I’m pregnant. I’m not going to have our baby be without his father because he happens to be a Bancroft!”

My chest heaves as I say everything I need to all in one breath, but if I hadn’t it would’ve never come out, and I knew if Cason told him that part he wouldn’t have waited to hear him out.

He goes silent as he stares at the two of us. “I guess there can’t be much done about that. However.”

In a flash, he raises something silver, and a shot rings throughout the room, I stumble back as my gaze goes to Cason, he also stumbles and his hand comes up to hold his shoulder.

It’s in that second that I realize my father holds a small gun in his hand. My eyes widen and I rush to Cason. He shot him.

“What is wrong with you!” I scramble to pull my phone out of my pocket. I need to call an ambulance. Tears spring to my eyes.

Cason grunts and holds up his hand. “I’m okay, Joie.”

I look up at him. “Have you lost your mind as well? You’ve been shot, Cason!”

He nods and lets out a breath. “And it’s a surface wound. That gun isn’t strong enough to kill, it just shocks a person long enough so that the one firing it can get away. I won’t die from it, I just need a bandage. Does this pay your price?”

My father snorts. “Hardly, but I can’t kill the father of my first grandchild. You would be dead right now if it wasn’t for that fact. I have more than one gun over here. Welcome to the family, Cason. Don’t break my daughter’s heart.”

I glare at him. There are other ways to get his point across. I help Cason turn and we leave the office. As we get in the elevator I begin looking for the closest hospital. We came here in Cason’s Lambo. I’ve never driven one of those, but I’m about to get a crash course.

Cason reaches over and presses the stop button. The elevator halts in its descent.

I stare at it and then at him. “What are you doing? We need to get you to a hospital!”

He shakes his head. “I’m okay. I just got the wind knocked out of me. Look.” He carefully undoes his button-down shirt and pushes it along with the suit jacket off his shoulder, a tiny hole glitters with blood in the lights of the elevator. A trickle comes from it, but it’s not enough to kill him.

“I would’ve had to be standing nose to nose with him for it to do any real damage. I’m fine, I promise. No hospitals. They just ask questions I wouldn’t be able to answer. And I don’t care that he shot me. It was worth it. Now it means we can be together without our families getting in the way. I can love you without fear that you’ll be taken from me. I love you!”

He pushes me against the elevator wall and kisses me deeply. I melt into his kiss, standing on my toes I let my hands rest on his chest, not wanting to hurt his shoulder by wrapping them around his neck. I break the kiss and smile up at him. Despite that meeting filling me with terror, some good did come from it. No longer having to fear my love for him is an incredibly freeing sensation. “I love you, too, Cason. Now and forever.”

He tilts my chin up and runs the pad of his thumb over my lower lip. “Forever sounds wonderful, Josie.”

  Epilogue

  Carson

  Four months later...

I carry two pizzas and a case of beers toward the back patio of the small house Josie and I bought in Great Neck Plaza. It’s an hour outside of New York City. Close enough I can easily get to my family if needed, but also far enough away I don’t fear raising our baby here. Josie picked it, stating she didn’t want a grand mansion like the ones we grew up in. She wants our child and any future kids we have too to be grounded and appreciate what they have.

We’ve already bought a shop for her to open a second Kotov Bakery and are waiting on it to be outfitted with the ovens and industrial mixers she’ll need. I’m still taking jobs for the family business, but I’ve become more selective. I have to worry about my life now. I want to be around to watch my baby grow up. We only found out the other day what we’re having. Josie and her best friend Ensley sit at the kitchen table in front of the sliding glass door that goes out to the patio.

I pause in my mission to stop and give my wife a kiss. We got married in a small ceremony at the courthouse. Neither of us wanted a lavish wedding despite her mother trying to beg us to have one. It’s just not either of our styles. We both wanted to be married before the baby came and she didn’t want to walk down the aisle with a large baby bump. And lavish weddings take a long time to plan.

She reaches for one of the boxes. I pull it out of her reach, which isn’t hard. “Did you eat the salad I made you earlier?”

A huff leaves her. “Yes. I ate all your nutritious vegetables even though they make me want to hurl at the moment. And I took my vitamins, and I drank that swamp water you call a green smoothie. Give me grease! Bad carbs, and fat!”

Ensley laughs. “Oh, you’re so having a boy. I can just feel it. I have a sixth sense about these kinds of things.”

Josie and I share a knowing gaze. She’s right, but she won’t find out about that until the gender reveal cake at the baby shower. I stroke a hand over Josie’s long, black hair. “You can have one piece, but don’t go crazy. I set the pizza box on the table where they’re working on filling out baby shower invites by hand. I told them they could get them printed, but they wanted to do it all by hand. I’m staying out of their way because they seem to know what they want.

She opens the box and pulls out the biggest piece before biting into it with a moan. She swallows it. “You’re the best. I was craving sausage so much. How did you know?”

She’d mentioned it no less than ten times this morning,

I shrug. “I just had a feeling. I’m going to go hang with your brother now. Don’t eat the whole box you two.”

I got a small because I knew the two of them would tear through it. She’s been putting up with eating super healthy for the baby from me, so I decided to let her splurge a little.

Closing the sliding glass door behind me I set the beers on the patio table along with a meat lover’s pizza. Dimitri sits at it as well. Staring off at nothing. He’s been acting strange for months now.

He leans forward and takes a beer, brushing his hair out of his eyes. He busts the cap off on the table and takes a deep pull from it. I frown. It’s obvious he’s in pain over something, but he won’t talk about it.

I kind of babysat him, too. He’s six year older than her though, so he didn’t need as much attention as her. When I wasn’t playing tea party with Josie, we were playing video games together or I would toss a football around with him. He used to be infectiously happy like Josie. Their smiles would just shift the mood of a whole room, but now he just looks pissed off at the world.

I open the pizza and take a slice for myself. I’ve been showing solidarity on the healthy front, so this pizza is as much a treat for myself as it is for her.

“Eat up, man. You can’t fill your stomach with only booze, you’ll get a gut, and no woman likes a beer gut.”

He snorts and rolls his eyes, but he leans forward to take a slice.

I swallow my bite. “So what’s new in your life?”

He shakes his head. “Don’t try to do the small talk with me, dude. I’m not in the mood.”
