I get up peeking through a small doorway in the room finding his bathroom, it smelt amazing in there, I could smell it was his, really masculine. I tried to tidy my hair up, freshening myself up the best I could.

Noticing my phone on the dresser I pick it up, it was completely dead, I groan I knew that at least Callie would have messaged me, worrying about where I was having not come home last night.

I put my socks back on, grabbing my boots as I make my way downstairs slowly, hearing movement in the kitchen.

“Good morning beautiful,” Dante smiles as I bite my lip, he’s cooking breakfast at the stove without a shirt on… my god the man was hot.

“Morning, I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to fall asleep,” I say nervously.

“Don’t worry, we did talk until it was late, I took you up to my bed as I thought you would be more comfortable, I slept in the guest room,” he replies.

“Why didn’t you sleep in your own bed?” I ask.

“As much as I would have loved to be curled up in the same bed as you, I didn’t want to spook you or push it, that wouldn’t be very gentlemanly of me would it?” he smiles plating up two plates of food.

“Thank you, but you could have put me in the guest room,” I blush.

“Nonsense, you deserved the better bed. Eat up and then I’ll take you home, I’m sure your family are worried about you as your phone died last night. I would have charged it for you but I don’t have that sort of lead,” he says as we sit at the table.

“Thank you, Dante, yeah I’m sure Callie is blowing up my phone,” I nod taking a bite of some of the bacon, moaning at the heavenly taste.

His phone goes off as he apologises and answers it, his eyes never leaving mine as he winks, making me blush once again. Boy, this guy knew how to make me all hot and bothered without doing much at all.

“What can I do for you Cameron?” he answers with a smile.

“She’s here… Her phone died… We fell asleep… No… No… What do you take me for?... No… She’s eating, yes Cameron I will take her home when she’s done… I promise I’m taking very good care of her… I’ll talk to you later… Yes… Best night of my life… Bye,” he says, looking at me as he says “best night of his life” with a smile.

“Was that them trying to find out if you had me still?” I ask.

“Yes, it would seem that Callie was panicking, she seems to think I have you locked up or that you’ve been murdered or something along those lines,” he chuckles.

“She worries a lot, hopefully she’s not panicking too much as the last thing I want to do is worry her when she’s pregnant,” I sigh.

“Then we best get you home, I’m sure you’ll want to spill what happened last night to your girls,” he winks at me as I giggle.

“Don’t worry I won’t tell them anything they don’t need to know,” I reply.

“Tell them what you like Ruby, I don’t have secrets,” he smiles finishing his breakfast, feeding Maisey as she nuzzles my hand softly before going over to her bowl.

I smile watching him, I could see myself with him, in this beautiful house, I could see myself falling in love with this man, he was talented, loving, and really cared, he’d wanted to know everything about me and he’d told me about himself in return. My heart fluttered at the sight of him.

“You’re staring beautiful,” he smirks as I bite my lip nervously, looking down to my plate as I take small bites. I hear him walk over as he turns my chair towards him.

  “Sorry,” I murmur.

“You apologise too much, stare all you want, I like that your eyes are on me, I could get used to this,” he says kissing my lips.

  “Me too,” I smile.

He kisses me once more before letting me eat, taking a seat next to me as I end up eating with one hand as he entwines our fingers together on the other.

“Let’s get you home,” he says as he passes me my jacket.

We keep talking all the way home, there was never an awkward silence. I loved how easy it was with him.

“Thank you for everything Dante, I really enjoyed myself,” I say as he pulls up to my house.

“I did too, I hope you want to do it again sometime, perhaps next time I’ll take you out somewhere?” he says.

  “I’d like that,” I nod.

“Good, I’ll call you,” he says leaning over to kiss me. His hands move to my cheek as we kiss deeply, I can feel the heat pooling in my body at the man kissing me.

“RUBY RIDER!” I hear being shouted from the door as I groan.

“I feel like I’m sixteen again,” I giggle.

“Go on, before they come for me for keeping you away all night,” he chuckles.

“Bye,” I say kissing his cheek before jumping out of the car, with a grin. I wave him off before heading to the door.

“You could have called…” Callie snaps.

“My phone died… I’m sorry, we fell asleep on the sofa and I didn’t know it had died until this morning,” I answer.

“Ugh, you’re lucky I love you girl,” she groans before hugging me as I giggle.

“Love you too Callie, I need to go shower and get changed,” I smile taking off my jacket.

“No, what you need to do is tell me what happened?! Come on! I saw you two kissing! Spill!” she exclaims.

“Get the coffee brewing and I will have a quick shower, then I’ll tell you everything, promise,” I say as she sighs but nods as I rush up the stairs.

I just knew I would hear extra voices in the kitchen when I had finished getting dressed, of course, she rang the girls…

“Hey sweetheart, how are you feeling this morning?” Mum smiles from the table, passing me a cup of coffee.

“Hey mum, hi girls, I’m ok,” I smile sipping from the cup.

“You’re ok… I think you’re a little more than ok! You were at Dante’s all night girl! What the hell happened? Is he you know… in proportion… he’s a big man…” Amelia wiggles her eyebrows suggestively.

“We didn’t do anything like that,” I shake my head as she looks at me in shock.

“You spent the night there and you two didn’t fuck?” Amelia replies.

“No, we talked, kissed a little, he was the perfect gentleman, when we fell asleep he ended up putting me in his bed while he slept in the guest room,” I say taking a seat.

“I’m liking him even more now,” mum smiles at me.

“So… Come on woman… Spill!” Callie says impatiently as I laugh and begin telling them about my night with him, I don’t tell them every single detail of what he told me about his life, it didn’t feel right too, it’s his life for him to tell, not mine.

“That’s so cute! He sounds amazing Ruby,” Tess grins at me.

“Sounds like a keeper,” Tasha nods.

“I hope so, I really like him,” I blush with a smile, hiding it behind my mug.

“Aww look at her, she’s all loved up, can you imagine the kids they would have, Jesus, they’d grow up models!” Tess giggles as I roll my eyes.

“Going a bit quick there Tess, we aren’t even an item,” I reply.

“Not yet, but I don’t give it long,” Tasha says.

My phone beeps as I see it’s a message from Dante, smiling as I open it.

Dante: I loved last night Ruby. Can’t wait to see you again. I can’t get you out of my head beautiful x

“Oh, that’s so cute!” Tess snatches my phone as she shows the others.

“Tess for god’s sake give it back!” I try to take it from her but she grins like a cat before typing on it.

“Tess!” Amelia giggles looking over her shoulder.

“What the hell have you done?” I grumble as she giggles passing me my phone back.

Me: I loved last night too, though I wish I had been in your arms still this morning. I’d love to feel your hard muscles against me any night x

“Tess! Are you serious?!” I groan slapping a hand over my face.

“Oh come on, you two need to get it on girl!” she giggles as my phone pings and I almost don’t want to read it.

She takes my phone again as I groan.

“Tess, please don’t,” I roll my eyes before she gasps at my phone, eyes wide.

“Sweet lord baby Jesus…” she says.

“What?” My mum raises a brow as Tess shows her the phone and my mum spits out her coffee.

“What the hell are you looking at?!” I ask taking the phone as my eyes widen at the image he had sent me, he was in nothing but his boxers, his six-pack clearly on show as he’s laying on his bed where I had been this morning.

Dante: My bed still smells of you, I’ve never been so intoxicated on a smell in all my life. You’ll be in my arms next time, I don’t think I can resist it, I know I said I was a gentleman, but you drive me crazy. Enjoy a sneak peek x

“Damn girl, you have won the man lottery with that one, he cooks, cleans, gardens, paints, believes in fate, soul mates and is drop-dead gorgeous… Ding, ding, ding we have a winner,” Tasha says as they are all gawping at the photo as I blush.

“Text him back then,” Callie smirks pushing my phone to me.

“What do I text back?” I ask nervously.

“Go take a sexy photo, send one back,” Tess giggles.

“You girls are a nightmare,” mum shakes her head with a smirk.

“Don’t tell me you’ve never done sexy pictures for your husband Everleigh,” Callie says with a raised brow.

“I… Well…. Uh… Yes,” she clears her throat as I laugh.

“Oh god, I’m not sure I want to hear this,” I say looking at my phone.

  Dante: I scared you off didn’t I… Sorry, that was inappropriate… Ruby, please… I’m sorry x

Me: No! God no! Sorry, the girls are over! They distracted me! I loved it, god you’re driving me crazy too Dante x

Dante: Glad I haven’t scared you off, I was worried for a moment. The last thing I want to do is lose a girl as precious as you x

Me: You haven’t scared me off, far from it x

“Good morning girls, Ruby, I see you’ve risen from the dead. Callie thought you were in a ditch all night, that Dante had murdered you,” Shaun kisses my head before kissing mum on the cheek, then Callie.

“Something would have risen if he hadn’t been such a gentleman,” Callie giggles.

“OH! Give me your phone, I want to check to see if you can see anything!” Tess exclaims.

“TESS!” I groan as she snatches it from me.

“Damn, can’t tell, not enough in the picture, can you ask for a dick pic?” she says.

“NO!” I laugh taking my phone back.

“Fine, you’re no fun anymore,” she laughs as I shake my head in disbelief at her.

“Sometimes I wonder why we’re friends,” I laugh.

“Because you love me?” she grins cheekily.

“Good thing, huh…” I roll my eyes with a smirk.

“Are you working tonight?” Tess asks.

“Yeah, you should know that,” I answer.

“Brain fog,” she rolls her eyes at me.

“Well, I need to get home, I have work in a few hours, can you message your brother later he wants to talk to you about their wedding,” mum says kissing my cheek and hugging me.

“Will do, have a good day mum, stay safe, love you,” I reply as she says goodbye to everyone.

“Your birthday next week… Are you looking forward to it?” Tasha smiles.

  “I guess,” I shrug.

  “What’s up?” Callie asks.

“My birthday means that Toby will be leaving soon too,” I sigh.

“Aww, you’re going to miss your brother, he’ll visit and we can drive down there to annoy the fuck out of him too,” Tess hugs me around the shoulders.

“Everything is changing again, it’s crazy,” I reply.

“The next chapter of your life babe, embrace it,” Tasha squeezes my hand softly.

The next couple of hours we spend gossiping before they all have to leave for work, letting me get a couple of hours to myself before having to get ready for work, driving to the club on my bike with a frown as I had gone to let Patch out before remembering he was gone. I missed him so much already.

“Hey, boss lady!” Zuri grins as I let us into the club.

“You’re early Zuri, everything ok?” I ask.

“I live in a house with my six siblings, mum, dad and aunt, it gets crazy at home, I needed a break from the crazy, decided to come in early,” he says.

“You just traded one crazy for another Zuri, but you’re always welcome here early. If you ever need a break just call me ok?” I smile.

“Thanks, Red,” he nods as he heads to the decks, putting music on quietly as he tries out a few new mixes. It was helping clear my head too as I went to do paperwork, completing the orders and checking on stock before the others arrived.

“Hey, Rubes!” Toby calls out bursting into the club through the staff doors, surprising me as I nearly drop a box of bottles.

“Christ Toby! Way to scare me!” My heart is beating through my chest as I put the box down as Toby wanders over to me, hugging me with a huge grin.

“Sorry sis, but I needed to talk to you, didn’t mum tell you?” he replies.

“Yes she did, I was going to call you once I’d finished with set up,” I nod.

“Well, nevermind that now I’m here. So… I need your opinion…” he says nervously.

“What’s up Toby?” I frown wondering what’s got him so nervous.

“How bad would our parents take it if Ollie and I didn’t do the whole huge wedding thing? We kind of want to just do it, sooner rather than later, we just want to be married, you know?” he bites his lip in nervousness.

“I don’t think they would mind as long as you were happy and we all get to still celebrate it,” I put my hands on his shoulders as I feel the tension release from him.

“So, could we uh… have the party here, after the ceremony?” he asks.

“DUH! Of course, you can!” I grin.

“Thank you Ruby because we already booked the ceremony,” he says sheepishly.

  “TOBY RIDER! When?” I ask.

“In three days, they had a last-minute cancellation, I checked if mum and dad were off work and they all are, I was just hoping you could be too, I’m sorry,” he says.

“Three days… Jeez kid, you don’t give me much time do you, hold on,” I walk around the bar to check the rotas, I was working that day, though I could probably find someone to cover it. If we were having the party here anyway then I could still help if I was really needed.

  “You’re working aren’t you…” he sighs.

“I was, but I’ll sort it, I promise. Do you want the whole place to yourself or shall I stay open?” I ask.

“I really don’t think there will be enough people to fill the place, Ruby, so you can keep it open, we can stay in VIP,” he answers.

“Ok, you guys will get VIP treatment and it’s all on me,” I smile.

“No, we’ll pay for drinks Ruby, I can’t put you out of pocket like that,” he shakes his head as I walk back around to him.

“You’re my baby brother, I can do what the fuck I like, this is your wedding day and I want to treat you guys, call it a wedding present if you really need to,” I say as he pulls me into his arms tightly.

“You’re the best sister ever Ruby,” he murmurs into my shoulder.

“I’m your only sister,” I answer as we both laugh.

“I have to go tell Ollie so we can start telling others to try and get the day off,” he says pulling away.

“Make sure to let me know names for the VIP list so people can get in for the night ok? Don’t look so worried, our parents will be fine with it,” I ruffle his hair as he rolls his eyes at me before fixing it up once more.

“I will. Thank you, Ruby, see you later,” he kisses my cheek with a grin and runs off.

Three days… there was so much to plan now, I would need some extra hands to make this as special as possible for them.

I message the whole team, asking who can work that night for me and those that can help with decorating. I get a flood of texts all at once as the whole team was up for working that day, wanting to help make it special for them. My team were amazing!
