Suspended Desires, page 11
I can’t believe they all left their practices to come say goodbye to me.
Hugging everyone takes at least another half hour, as they all wish me well and tell me they will see me soon. When they’re done, it’s my grandfather’s turn. I saved him for last. I make my way towards him, and I can see the unshed tears shining in his eyes as he pulls me into his hard chest. We stay like that for what feels like a lifetime until he eases his grip and kisses my forehead.
He smiles down at me. “I’ll see you soon, Willow. Don’t be a stranger. Make sure you keep up your practice schedule. You never know when I may need you back for a show.”
I smile, take Tristan’s hand in mine, and head to the helicopter. At the top of the stairs, I turn and wave to the crowd gathered beneath us. All here for me. I really did have a family growing up, one I love with all my heart and one that loves me back just as much.
The pilot prepares us for take-off as I blow one final kiss out the window to my grandfather and Hazel. Then I turn to Tristan as a tear rolls down my cheek.
He wipes it off with the pad of his thumb. “Let’s go start our life together, Willow.”
Chapter Twenty
She’s laughing her ass off as I carry her in my arms over the threshold, bridal-style, into our apartment. Having Willow move in with her grandfather’s blessing is a dream come true. I finally have her all to myself.
We still need to figure out what we should do about the claim Isaac made, but for now, I’m going to give Willow what she deserves. The best life I can provide for her. I have more money than could ever be spent on my own, but I know that won’t make her happy. I’m what will make her happy. Me. And only me, giving her my time and love.
She jumps out of my arms and I grab her by the waist before she walks away. “Let’s go unpack. I want you moved into my bedroom right now.”
She gives me a mischievous smirk. “But, Tristan, I already have a room in your house, so I’ll just grab my stuff and go set up my bedroo—”
I stop her before she can finish the sentence, pulling her into me hard and swatting her bum with my hand. “You, cheeky girl, you will be doing no such thing.” Then I growl into her ear, “Our bedroom now, Willow.”
She pulls away and runs, giggling as she goes. I’m hot on her heels, chasing her up the stairs as she rushes for the guest bedroom. Reaching out and grabbing her around the waist, I carry her to our room. She kicks her legs out against the door frame, stopping us from entering, so I lean down over her face and run my tongue up her cheek. She stills, forgetting what she was doing as I push us through the door.
Shoving out of my hold, she huffs, crossing her arms over her chest. “No fair, Tristan. You cheated.”
I grab her again, pulling her back to me, taking her pouting bottom lip into my mouth, and sucking hard. She moans as I release her lip.
“I will never play fair when it concerns you, Willow. I will do anything I can to get you in my arms.”
We spend the next couple of hours unpacking the stuff we brought back with us. My mind is constantly blown away by how in love with this girl I am. I watch her out of the corner of my eye as she hums songs and skips around as she organises her belongings. She’s such a little ball of energy, a joyous vibe, one I very much want to rub off on me.
You can’t help but smile at her happiness. If I could bottle up her bubble and sprinkle it on the rest of the world, we would all live in a very peaceful, happy place.
I jump when she reaches out to touch my face, and she laughs. “Where were you? You’re totally in a dream world.”
My lips dip into a frown as I grab her and pull her down on my lap. “I was, was I?”
Then I tickle under her arms as she squirms, trying to get away from me. She’s giggling so hard that I have to ease up a little, so she can get a breather in before I cover her mouth with my own, twisting my tongue around hers. I tug her closer to me, wrap a hand in her ponytail, and take her gasping breaths straight out of her mouth with another kiss.
I can feel my cock trying to break the zip on my jeans, straining to get free. Flipping her out of my lap so she’s on her back on the plush carpet, I slide her pants down her legs. I settle between them, taking her kiss-swollen lips back into mine as we intwine our tongues. Grabbing the little singlet she’s wearing, I tear it open, and she gasps, a little frown creasing her brow. Which instantly disappears when I take her braless, taut, pink nipple into my mouth and bite hard enough to mark.
Her hips push up into my fully hard cock as she rubs her centre on my jeans, enjoying the sting of my bite. I lick the pain into pleasure. Her moans are so sweet, and I know I will never get enough of hearing them. I swap my focus, giving the other nipple the same attention. Her writhing little body continues to rub on my jeans. I can feel she’s close already, so I unloop her arms from around my neck, pushing them over her head.
I growl in her ear, “Willow, do not move. Keep your arms there.”
She nods, breathing hard.
Quickly removing my jeans and shirt, I drop back down, and her hands reach out to pull me to her. I lean forward, whispering in her ear, “Willow, I told you not to move your arms.” She smiles up at me like the cat that got the cream, so I grab her chin, making her look at me. “Does my dirty little toy need to be taught a lesson on listening to instructions?” I say, watching the blush run up her chest to her cheeks.
I know she wants it, so I flip her on her stomach in one move, rubbing her ass with my flat palm. I slap her right cheek, and she arches forward as I pull her back towards me, rubbing the sting away. She lets out a sweet little moan as I dip down to lick the red spot I just created, before giving her other cheek a slap too. She moans loudly this time, enjoying the pain mixed with pleasure. I look down and smile at the two red handprints glowing on her gorgeous ass. I lower my mouth to suck and kiss her better.
She wiggles against me, trying to take more. I take the hint, tugging her to my face by her hips. I lick her all the way up, from her clit to her asshole. As I circle the tight rim, she freezes through a moan.
“Relax, little toy. I’m not taking you there… yet. But I will, and you’ll enjoy it.”
Repeating the movement, I lick all my way from front to back. She relaxes more this time as I reach around and slip a finger inside her. As I lick her tight rim, she soaks my fingers. But I can tell she’s still a little tense and unsure whether she should be enjoying it or not.
That’s okay. I will warm her up to the point she’ll be begging me for it, but not today.
I lick and finger her until she’s close to coming all over my hand, stopping just before she does. She releases a growl from her throat when I pull away. Tugging her hips up higher, I place a hand in the middle of her shoulders, pushing her down as I shove my cock all the way inside her in one thrust. We both moan at the feeling as her hot heat floods my cock. I start pumping into her hard, hitting that perfect spot with each thrust, and she screams out my name.
Every time I enter into her, her pussy spasms around my dick so hard it sends me over the edge with her. Filling her up, I grunt her name. I push her hair to the side and pull her torso up to mine. She turns her head and kisses me, sighing and falling back to the floor as I release my grip on her.
We both laugh, overcome by that post-orgasmic bliss. She heads to the shower so I join her. We take our time washing each other and then get dressed to continue unpacking.
Grabbing my phone as it vibrates in my pocket, I look to Willow. “I’ll just be in the office, if you need me,” I say, waiting for her to nod before I leave her.
I answer the call from Steph, my receptionist. The woman’s amazing, a godsend really, and has kept Alexander Enterprises running smoothly while I’ve been away. Not that I had any doubt of her abilities. She was around long before I came into this world. Steph was my dad’s right-hand woman and often joined us for family dinners. From a young age, my parents made it very clear to me that she was a lifesaver and someone I could trust dearly.
I like to call her the crazy cat lady. She’s a whole personality all on her own. Always looking after me, dropping lunch at my office, carrying on about how I need to look after myself and eat more. Also very regularly mentioning how I’m not getting any younger and should be out meeting a nice young lady, instead of spending all my time at the office.
She’s a miracle really, always running around after me and keeping the empire on its feet. She kept me well in check after my parents and then my uncle died, pulling me out of any drunk self-loathing hole I would put myself in. She was right there beside me, having my back, pushing me forward. I hated the thought of letting her down, especially when she found me spiralling, so I would kick my ass in gear and pull myself together. I needed her to be proud of me. After all, she was the only mother figure I had left…
As I hear her voice come down the phone, my body relaxes. It’s been a while since we last spoke. “Tristan, I hope you’re out there making me some gorgeous adopted grandbabies. I can’t figure out why else you would go this long without calling me? Are you trying to put me in an early grave?”
Feeling guilty, I go quiet as I whisper, “Sorry, Steph. I will keep in touch more often. It’s been a busy few weeks.”
I hear the smile in her voice. “Oh, Tristan, I’m just glad you’ve finally found a pretty young girl to keep you company.”
I freeze. “How do you know that?”
She laughs. “Oh, Tommy and Austin have been in the office already, and I also saw her gorgeous face in the Times.”
I seethe, growling down the line, “You what?” I power on my laptop and bring up the article, which includes a picture of Willow and me getting off my helicopter this morning, with a headline reading: Perth’s most eligible bachelor returns with mystery girl after not being seen for a few weeks.
My heart stops, and my blood boils over. Steph’s voice fills my ear and calms me. “Tristan, it’s okay. I tried to get the article pulled when I heard it was out, but it was too late. It was printed everywhere already.”
“Steph, I love this girl. I can’t lose her because she’s getting unwanted attention.” The phone goes silent. I think the call just dropped out, but then I hear a breath exhale from the other end. “Hello, Steph? Did you hear me?”
She clears her throat. “I did, but maybe I heard wrong. Say it again, just in case my hopeful ears are hearing things.”
I laugh and repeat, “I love her, Steph. I love her very much, and if I do give you adopted grandbabies, she will be the mumma.”
I hear Steph’s sob. And I hold my breath. “It’s happy tears, Tristan. I’m so happy for you. You make me very proud.”
I smile down the phone as Steph lets out more excitement, wanting to know all about her and when she can meet Willow. “We will stop by the office tomorrow to see you all.”
I laugh as she replies, “Okay, Tristan. I’m glad I finally spoke to you, but I gotta go. Our office will not clean itself before your arrival. Oh, and Willow’s.” I can hear her grin as she calls out to someone to order flowers and make this place pretty.
I hang up after a quick goodbye.
Chapter Twenty-One
We get dressed and make our way to Tristan’s big black SUV. Lucas is coming with us, now that he’s back on duty and the bullet wound is healing nicely. He was restless and causing trouble instead of resting, so Tristan let him return early. He’s been assigned as my personal bodyguard, which I don’t mind. We get along extremely well. He’s becoming a close friend of mine very quickly. Tristan is taking on a new guy as his personal guard, so that Lucas will be available for me instead.
I jump in the driver’s seat, and Lucas laughs, grabbing the door just before I get it shut. He pulls me out, throws me over his shoulders, and dumps me in Tristan’s arms. He snorts out “I think this trouble belongs to you.”
I giggle as Tristan throws me into the back and hops in the driver’s seat. Lucas takes the one beside me. I push his arm, laughing as I say, “Taking your job a bit seriously, aren’t you? You can sit in the front, you know.”
He stills. “Willow, I do take my job very seriously. You will always be within arm’s reach of me, unless you’re in the apartment with Tristan.”
I frown, and he gives me that bad boy smirk. Tristan, looking at me through the rearview mirror, mimics Lucas’s smirk. We arrive at what I guess is the office, which is a stunning skyscraper with all-black windows as high as I can see. “Alexander” is printed in gold along the top. I stare, taking it all in with Tristan standing beside me before pulling my hand into his.
As we walk inside, I notice it’s as breathtakingly beautiful as the outside, all marble floors with a dark wood reception area. We make our way to the elevators and up to the top floor. The view is amazing as we look down on Perth, all its sights, and the little boats down on the river. I’m in my own world, taking it all in, as a whirlwind of blond curls comes flying towards me.
The woman takes me into her arms, and I freeze until I hear Tristan’s smiling voice saying, “Steph, put her down.”
She leans back, still holding my shoulders, and looks me over top to toe. “Oh, you are more beautiful than he tried to describe.”
“Thanks… I think.” I smile back at her. “I’ve heard a lot about you as well. Nice to meet you, Steph.”
She turns, pulling Tristan in her arms as hard as she had with me. I hold in my giggle as I watch this tiny little woman keep him captive. He’s at least two heads taller than her, and her arms barely reach around his bulky chest.
Tristan leans down, kissing her head. “Good to see you, Steph.”
I watch in awe as someone pulls me against them. Stilling, I look up to see Tommy and Austin laughing on each side of me. “Welcome to the madhouse, Willow,” Tommy says. “Steph has been cracking the whip all day to make this place look pretty for you,” he proclaims as he gestures to the room.
I look around, taking in the vases of pink and orange gerberas. They look so pretty in this space. “They are beautiful.”
I lean in, sniffing an orange one, my favourite colour flower. Tristan is back at my side, and I watch him push Tommy away from me, grabbing my hand as we head into his office. It’s exactly how I imagined it would be. The space is very much Tristan’s look and suits him to a tee. I sit on the dark leather couch. It’s so comfy.
Getting acquainted with Steph is nice. She tells me stories of these three as little boys while they stand at the bar, each with a whiskey tumbler in hand. I laugh at the trouble they all caused growing up.
“It was so nice meeting you, Steph,” I say as I hug her goodbye, promising we will be seeing each other soon. I feel totally sentimental as I watch Tristan with the family he’s built for himself.
Heading back to the car a few hours later, I stop to look up at the tall windows. I’m glad I got to come see Tristan’s empire and the family he built and loves.
The days go by smoothly. We’ve had no trouble transitioning into our new life, and we haven’t heard from Isaac since the car run-in. Tristan and I have fallen into an easy daily routine. I love everything about his life. I fall in love with him more each day. Everything is so effortless between us.
I still miss Hazel very much, but we make sure we talk each day. I’m sad to know she will not be so close soon. They will all be heading back to Monaco on Sunday after the final show in Perth on Saturday night. They’ll be there for a little break before they head to the next show site. Tristan keeps me well occupied, though, and I definitely enjoy finding where I fit in his world. I cook for us each night, and I love seeing his face when he comes back from the office each day. It makes my heart flutter.
I’ve had so much fun slipping into his little family. They’ve all been very accepting of our relationship. We’ve been to Steph’s for dinner. It was lovely. She is a very good cook. I could totally get used to her meals. We’ve had some funny times meeting with the boys at their local bar for drinks when Tristan finishes work on Fridays. I love watching Austin crush on the cute little bartender, Grace. He’s totally smitten, but too chicken to say anything, and she definitely has the same feelings.
I watch as her beautiful big blue eyes spy on him whenever we’re there. Her bright-pink hair and gorgeous personality attract a lot of attention, and I can see why. She’s so full of sass, and it’s very entertaining to watch. I was instantly attracted to her flair. We’ve become friends over time, exchanging phone numbers recently and organising to catch up for coffee and shopping one day soon.
My thoughts drift to the joy I’ve felt over the past few weeks as I close my freshly finished book from my all-time favourite author, Kylie Kent. I couldn’t put it down, so I finished it in one sitting. I’m so excited because Tristan knows her. She lives in Perth, and he said he would organise a meeting between us soon. She’s best friends with Grace. I’m so nervous. What if I fall on my face in front of her or say something stupid? I guess we’ll worry about that when it happens. I’ll probably be fangirling so hard I’ll be lucky to get a word out.
The sound of the front door closing takes me out of my trance. Jumping off the couch I’ve been snuggled up on all day, I run for the entryway, locking my eyes on to the gorgeous god walking in. His green eyes pierce through me, sending all kinds of butterflies to my belly. His strong arms catch me as I leap straight into his waiting embrace. He takes my breath away with the kiss he plants on my mouth. My core heats, and I pull away, breathing hard as he returns my feet to the floor.
Dragging him to the kitchen, I open a beer and place it in front of him. He takes a swig, smiling at me as his growly voice makes my knickers even more wet. “Miss me today, little toy?”
