Primal Instincts: Volume 2, page 17
I pumped my hand faster until she was writhing against the seat, but she maintained eye contact the entire time, daring me to take this further.
“Jesus, you’re beautiful,” I whispered. “I want to feel that tight little pussy come all over my hand, baby. Can you do that? Can you come for me?”
She nodded.
I gave her more, plunging my fingers in deeper, fucking her harder.
“Creed ... oh, God!” She put a hand over her mouth to stifle the cry that escaped as her pussy contracted.
“I’ve wanted you since the first moment I saw you, Journey. Each passing minute has been hell. But this…” I screwed my fingers in deep, curling them along the inner wall, seeking that cluster of tissue that would undo her. “This is only the beginning. I can give you everything you’ve ever dreamed of … and I will … but at my pace, not yours.”
I teased her G spot, loving how she whimpered, her breaths sawing in and out of her lungs as her inner muscles clutched at my fingers.
“Creed … please…”
“Please, what, hellcat? Tell me what you need.”
“Make me come.”
My fingers stopped moving.
She sucked in a sharp breath.
“Ask nicely,” I growled. “You don’t give commands, kitten. You take them.”
“Please…”
I didn’t encourage her, nor did I move the fingers buried inside her.
“Creed…” Her eyes darted back and forth over mine. “If it pleases you, Creed, make me come.”
Ah, fuck. The beast snapped his chains, and I fingered her roughly, fucking into her as she panted and moaned, her eyes still locked firmly on mine.
I stared deep into those bottomless blue eyes, watching, seeking. I wanted her complete surrender, and there was nothing I wouldn’t do to get it.
Her hips bucked as I finger-fucked her at the same time I tightened my grip on her hair, adding a hint of pain to her pleasure. It was then that I saw it, the recognition in her eyes. She might not know everything about me, but she sensed we had a connection because that was what happened when an alpha found his mate. And there was no doubt in my mind that I’d found mine.
“Creed!”
Journey’s entire body went rigid, her pussy contracting around my fingers as she came so beautifully. I slowed my pace to ease her through the orgasm as I watched her face. I didn’t withdraw my fingers until she relaxed, her eyes drifting shut, her chest rising and falling rapidly, although the intensity had passed.
I was tempted to lick my fingers clean, but if I did, there’d be no coming back from that. One taste of her would be more temptation than I could resist, so I placed my fingers against her lips instead.
“Open your mouth.”
She did without hesitation, her gaze returning to my face as she sucked my fingers inside. She bathed them with her tongue, drawing a ragged groan from my chest. I could imagine how fucking sweet her mouth would be wrapped around my cock. It was all I could do to drag air in and out of my lungs. It took effort, but I pulled my fingers from between her lips and leaned back in my seat.
“You’ve woken the beast, hellcat.”
“Promise?”
I cut my eyes to her face, finding her smiling at me as though she’d won this round. In a way, she had. She got me to give in to temptation when I was hell-bent on refraining.
There were things I wanted to tell her, though I knew none were appropriate for a conversation this early in our relationship. Instead of revealing truths and promises that were better left unsaid, I kissed her. The moment my tongue grazed her lower lip, I tasted the sweet remnants of her pussy. I growled low in my throat, kissing her until I was dangerously close to changing the plans and taking her back to my bed, where I could explore every inch of her with my tongue.
She was a temptation I’d never encountered before. I wouldn’t be able to resist her for long. Certainly not after this, which meant I had to slow down this bullet train or risk derailing it.
It took tremendous control to turn on the car and pull out of the parking lot, but I managed.
Barely.
An hour later, after I’d dropped Journey at her parents’ house, thoroughly kissed her goodnight, and promised to have her car delivered to her first thing in the morning, I made it to the house. As I pulled through the security gate at the driveway, I noticed not one, not two, but three vehicles parked out front.
I pulled into the garage and waited as the door closed. I glanced at the row of exotic cars and motorcycles that filled the space. We didn’t have bays like some residential garages because ours was more of a showroom where we stored those we didn’t drive often. Two actually belonged to Hawk, and one to Nick. Each one was lit by spotlights above, highlighting them like art. There was no bare concrete for this collection. Not that I gave a shit, really, but apparently, my net worth didn’t allow for it.
I reached the main living room and heard a conversation taking place upstairs. It paused briefly, and I suspected they realized I was home.
“Ain’t it too early for your date to be over?” Nick called from the second-floor game room. “Come on up here, bro. Tell us your woes.”
I shook my head and rolled my eyes. Why the man would think my date with Journey would go south after they left, I didn’t know.
I detoured through the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the refrigerator, then headed upstairs to find Nick pulling his darts from the board. The automated glass walls that separated the indoor living space from the outdoor one were open, offering a view of the Sunset Strip below. I bought the house for the view mostly. There was no denying that standing out there and looking down on the city made a man feel powerful.
“Wanna play?” Nick asked.
“No.” I dropped into one of the oversized recliners to watch. “Who’s winning?”
“Who do you think?” Nick grumbled.
Garrison pointed both thumbs at himself but didn’t meet my gaze.
“How’d it go?” Nick prompted. “The date with the smokeshow?”
“Smokeshow?” Garrison cocked an eyebrow. “Seriously?”
“Hey, Hawk came up with that one. I’m just repeating it.”
Wondering why Hawk didn’t weigh in with his comments, I looked around for him. He was sitting in one of the chairs on the far side of the room, his intense gaze locked on me. Based on the narrowed eyes, he was attempting to decipher whether my night ended with Journey naked beneath me. I damn sure wouldn’t have been there if it had, but it was more entertaining to let him wonder.
“It’s fitting, though, right?” Nick mused. “The girl’s hot.”
I couldn’t argue with him there.
“So?” Garrison probed. “How was it?”
“We talked for a while,” I said, playing down the too-brief time I had spent in Journey’s company. “Then I drove her home.”
“Such a gentleman,” Hawk grumbled.
“Remember who you’re talking to,” I said sternly, ensuring he understood I’d reached my limit for the day.
Nick and Garrison exchanged glances.
Hawk glared at me. I could see by the tight line of his mouth that his rage was building, but Hawk knew the order. He knew where he stood.
“He’s not pissed,” Nick clarified. “Just jealous.”
Hawk didn’t react, but the truth glittered in his eyes. It was far more complicated than he was leading on. The question was, who was he jealous of? Me or Journey? Or both.
“The question is, are you jealous?” Nick asked me directly. “It’s obvious she’s splitting her time between the three of you.”
I noticed Garrison purposely looked away, his attention on the dart board.
“I’m something,” I admitted, “but jealous doesn’t feel like the right word for it.”
“Does that mean all three of you are dating her?”
“It’s what she wants.”
Hawk and Garrison were staring at me like I’d lost my damn mind. I probably had since I was even entertaining this idea. If I didn’t feel guilty about my actions this past week, perhaps I could’ve put my foot down and demanded they back off. Unfortunately, too much had happened for me to do that. I doubted it would go over well.
Although I told Garrison I wouldn’t ask—and I hadn’t—I couldn’t help wondering what happened between them the night he went to check on her. He hadn’t said a word, and I didn’t expect him to. Based on what I saw at dinner, he was avoiding Journey. I’d noticed her pained disappointment whenever she looked at him. It was killing me not to know. And since asking her would only pile on the guilt I already felt about pulling strings I had no business pulling, I figured it was a fitting punishment for me to have to wonder.
“Hey, what about me?” Nick prompted, clearly sensing the tension. “I’m the one who pointed her out. Don’t I get a say?”
“I’m pretty sure I saw you flirtin’ with Journey’s friend last weekend,” Garrison stated.
Nick shrugged, reaching for his beer. “We chatted.”
I didn’t mention that Nick had been glued to his phone more than usual lately. Today, I’d caught him texting with someone constantly. I had automatically assumed it was Kim. His ex-wife was known to blow up his phone when she thought he was straying too far from his tether. Now I had to wonder if it was Rhylee he was carrying on with.
“But seriously,” Nick said, all amusement gone as he looked at me. “You think y’all should talk about this? I mean, this woman’s clearly got you tied up in knots.”
I looked at him. “Good thing we’ve got you to act as the peacemaker.”
Nick looked surprised. “You think the three of you can date her without risking your friendship?”
That was a damn good question. One I didn’t have an answer for.
“If it’s what she wants, I don’t see how we can deny her,” Garrison chimed in, his eyes on me.
“You’re admitting you want her?” Hawk spoke up.
“From the day I met her,” he answered, his expression unapologetic.
“You just want to read her fantasies,” Nick said, setting his beer down and picking up his darts.
Garrison’s laidback country boy persona fell into place, concealing his true feelings. “Damn right, I do.”
I took a swig of my beer, recalling her admission at dinner. I couldn’t help but wonder what she wrote. Or who she wrote about.
“You can always take some time out of your day to check out Rhylee’s books,” I told Garrison.
Garrison smirked and glanced at Nick. “Like you did?”
I swear to God, it was the first time I’d ever seen Nick blush.
He shrugged, chuckling softly. “Maybe.”
The four of us were silent for a few minutes while Nick threw his darts at the board. I drank my beer and glanced at my friends, trying to recall another time we were interested in the same woman. As far as I could remember, it hadn’t happened. We’d played with the same submissive at the club a few times, but not at the same time. And never had I been with a woman I was willing to claim as my own. I was a possessive bastard at my core, which made this all the more unconventional.
But I was willing to give it a shot because it was obviously what Journey wanted.
I never expected there was a woman out there who would have that sort of power over me, but then I saw her from across a crowded room, and I recognized her as the one who could bend my will. I just didn’t realize our paths would ever cross again.
Now that they had, I feared there was no going back.
For any of us.
There is more to come for Journey, Creed, Garrison, and Hawk. Each volume will be released 2 - 3 weeks apart.
