Oliver: Forbidden: Paranormal Romance, page 11
“I think we’re not on the same page.” Oliver asked him what he was talking about. “You first. But let me say something before you try and explain. Did you really think that I didn’t know you were a gay man? I mean, really? Uncle Oliver, no offense, but you nearly scream gay.”
“Excuse me? I do not scream gay.” Lyle told him that he did. “In what way? And I’ll have you know that other gay men had no idea I was gay until I told them.”
“Yeah, because they’re more than likely dressing the same way. Do you even own a pair of jeans? Or maybe a T-shirt? You come to visit me every day, and all you wear is suits. To come and see me. I have to say that again—you wear a suit to the hospital to visit me. You’re not impressing me just so you know.” Lyle pointed to David. “At least he knows how to dress down when he visits someone in the hospital. That could be why you’re also tense all the time. You need to chill out and be less hard on yourself. Just—you know, chill out and be a man once in a while. Even Grandpa knew that you were gay before he died.”
Oliver sat down in the chair that was thankfully right behind him. Dad knew? How did he...? He asked Lyle what he had been upset with him for.
“Oh, not you really, but both of you. I wish you had told me that you found your mate. I would have loved to have known that before the world did.” Oliver explained to him that they’d just met. “I know that too. But you should have called me to let me know. I’m going to be living with you guys, right?”
“You are, actually. We just got word before we came here. Oliver is going to be your father; your last name will be Moody like his, and I’ll be your guardian when you need me.” Lyle started crying. He kept saying how happy he was for them. “You really are okay with your uncle and I being together with you?”
“I’m so happy right now that I could bust. You have someone in your life that can love you like nobody else will or can. Both of you.” The three of them hugged several times before they remembered the food. As they sat around enjoying the different kinds of Chinese food that they’d gotten, they talked about how it was going to be at the house.
“Right now, I have you a room downstairs so that no one has to go up and down the stairs all the time.” Lyle said that was a good idea. David said that he’d taken pictures of the bedrooms he could choose from when he was ready. As he was looking them over, Oliver told him about his mother and grandma. “I don’t know they’ll ever get out of prison, Lyle. I wanted you to know that first.”
“I’m not sure how I feel about that, to be honest. I don’t want them around me, but she is my mom too. I’ll give that some thought.”
After talking about that for a little while, Oliver remembered that Lyle had spoken to his grandpa. He asked him about that.
“He said that he was ready to tell you everything. About Grandma.” Lyle put his food on the tray in front of him and looked so sad that Oliver told him that they’d talk about it later. “No, now. He told me that Grandma didn’t just murder him. She also had a part in the murder of my dad. He’s coming to see me when I get to your house. Grandpa told him where I was going to be living. Grandpa said that Mom and Grandma killed three other people, and they’re buried in the back yard of Grandma’s home. One of them was my football coach that wanted me to play when Mom told him no. I caused his death by bitching to Mom about it.”
“No. Don’t think like that, Lyle.” Oliver let David handle this. He wanted to see how much Lyle would trust him, he thought. “Your mother sounds like someone that would have killed for the fun of it. That coach, he was just someone that she justified killing because she thought she had a good reason. Don’t ever think the actions of others have anything to do with you. She murdered him without your help, correct? Then this has nothing at all to do with you. We’ll get justice for him. All of them. You’ll see. We’ll make sure that they pay. I promise you that.”
Lyle looked at him and then back at David. “Thank you, Dad. Thank you, both my dads, for making me feel safe and worthy of being your son.”
He called him Dad, something that Oliver had never thought he’d be called. Dad. It was a powerful word; those three little letters, and he would work his ass off in making sure that he lived up to the word. Being the best dad he could be.
Chapter 8
David didn’t know what to do now. They were both at the house and the things that they’d ordered when at the hospital with Lyle would be delivered in the morning. It was fun, really, to be able to order anything that you wanted and not have to check to see if you could get a cheaper version of it someplace else. Oliver told him that he did price shop, but he didn’t buy off brand if he could help it. There was a reason that things were more expensive sometimes, and he wanted the best for them both.
“I’m glad that Lyle got to order some things for his room too. It’ll be all filled out when he’s ready to move into his own room.” David asked Oliver if he thought that Lyle would cut corners on his physical therapy in order to get up to his room. “He might try, but the first time he tries to mount those stairs, he’ll change his mind quickly. That is a lot of steps.”
“I think he was very excited about the pool too. I know that I’m looking forward to having it back there come summer. I love to swim.” Oliver said that he used to do it in high school and college, but hadn’t much since then. “When I could, I’d end up at the Y to have a couple of laps in the pool. It’s a great way to relieve some stress that has been bothering you. I want you.”
Oliver turned and looked at him. His face wasn’t readable, and David told him he was sorry for blurting it out like that. When Oliver asked him to have a seat next to him on the couch, David did so. He told him he was sorry again.
“Don’t be. We’ve had a great deal going on over the last few days. Not to mention, we don’t really know that much about each other. I want you, as well.” David laughed a little. “Okay, I want you a great deal, but I think the way we’re handling this is much better than just jumping to it. Don’t you think?”
“I think so. I mean, from the start I’ve felt comfortable around you. Not your money, but I’m growing to love what it can do for us.” Oliver said that it would open doors for them. “Yes, I’ve noticed that as well. I guess that antique dealer for cars is coming by day after tomorrow to see about your father’s cars. Have you decided what you’re going to do with the money yet?”
“Dad wanted me to use it for a new library in town. I think I like that idea the most. Also, there is a great need for a grocery store, like he said. That has to be done now rather than later. Lyle wants to be a part of that.” David asked him if he thought there would be enough money for both of those. “I have no idea, but I will...you and I will cover the difference. Also, I hope you don’t mind, but I’m taking on partners on the project that Grace found for us at the hospital. Enlarging the breakrooms isn’t going to be possible because of the layout of the hospital. But we’re going to take two of the rooms on each floor and combine them to make a larger room for them to use. It’ll have their own refrigerators, as well as other things that will be there just for them. As a group, with the other men, we’ll make sure that it’s cleaned as well as stocked up daily for them.”
“When I was there a couple of weeks ago for some tests, I overheard a couple of the nurses talking about how hard it is to get office supplies in too. I think I’d like to help out with that project for them. I mean, if anyone knows office supplies, it’s a man that works in an office all day.” They both laughed at that. “Do you take on projects like this much? I mean, helping out hospitals or the like?”
“Yes. Mostly it’s done by me without anyone knowing that I had a hand in it. I see something, I have it taken care of. I’m more careful than I used to be about it. Before, I would just go in, take over a project that needed to be done, and damn the way I did it. Now I’m more careful about knowing how the outcome is going to work for the people that I’m trying to help. There are a few, believe it or not, that don’t care for someone coming in and making their lives different. You’ll notice that I didn’t say better, but different. That’s the complaint that I got from one such group.” They laughed again. “I’d very much like to touch you. Kiss you as well, but I need to touch you.”
“I’d very much like that as well. Anything.” Oliver stood up with David and pulled him to him gently. He didn’t want to overwhelm either of them. Oliver knew that he was on the very edge of something huge.
Kissing David was nothing like he’d ever experienced before. It was as gentle as he could make it, yet it felt like every nerve ending in his lips and mouth were set to flame. Even when he stepped back just a little, to calm his pounding heart, he could still feel the tingling.
“I need to touch you.” Pulling off his shirt, David tossed it to the floor. “You look so good, Oliver. I just don’t know where to start.”
They were neither one new to sex, but they were new to each other. When David’s fingers brushed over his skin, it was as if it was coming alive. As if up until this moment, his flesh had not been receptive of any touch since he’d been born. Now Oliver knew that it was only awaiting David to come along and awaken it. For him to touch him, to make him feel like a man. Oliver fell more in love with David than he had ever felt for anyone in his life.
Holding onto the end of the bed, the couch in their room just not big enough for what they were doing, Oliver was surprised to see that he was naked. His body was burning with need, and he could feel the sweat as it formed on his body. The cool breeze of David’s breath took his own breath away until he couldn’t think beyond his next heartbeat.
Every touch, every time David kissed another part of him, Oliver knew that with the next one, he was not only going to die, but he was going to die a very happy man. He cried out when David wrapped his hand around his cock and kissed him on the shoulder.
“I need to taste you.”
Nodding, Oliver was turned around and sat on the edge of the bed. David, too, was naked, his body beautiful with the setting sun coming in from the window. When he went to his knees in front of him, Oliver watched him as he took his cock into his mouth.
“Christ, yes.”
Just his tongue rolling around the crown of his cock nearly sent him off the stratosphere. David licking the length of him, taking his head into his mouth, had Oliver coming enough that he could see it dripping from his lips. Lying back on the bed, Oliver dug his fingers into the blanket, trying his best to make this last for as long as he possibly could, which by his estimation would be about thirty more seconds. Tops.
David seemed to know when he was close and would move to another part of his cock. He didn’t just suck at him, but he nipped his teeth along the skin of him. Licked his balls, even taking them into his mouth for a time. Everywhere seemed to be a new hidden pleasure for him. Oliver was nearly ready to beg him for a break when he stood up, holding his cock in his hand.
“I want to come all over you this first time. If I don’t, then I’m afraid that I will hurt you.” Oliver wrapped his hand around his own cock, sliding it up and down, using the juices from David’s administration as well as his precum that seemed to be coming out in long streams. “I’m going to touch you.”
He didn’t know what he meant until the tip of David’s cock touched his. It was electrical. The two of them came simultaneously and hard. Cum shot up from his own cock to the top of David’s head, all over his face, as well as on his nipples.
Seeing that, seeing the mess that he’d made of his partner, made Oliver come again. His cock and balls filled so tightly it was painful to feel it rushing from the tip. Not even then was he ready to stop.
Being rolled to his stomach, Oliver braced himself for the best sex of his life. David didn’t just fill him, but he became a part of him. When he was buried as deeply as he thought he could be, he pushed harder. Oliver could feel him at the back of his throat, he thought. As he started to fuck him, taking him hard, he pulled his body up just enough that he could wrap his hand around his cock as David fucked him.
Oliver came twice more, his body hurting with the need for that one more. That epic climax that would blow his head off. He was not sure what that would mean for him, but he was ready. Or so he thought.
David said he was ready to come. Oliver could feel it, could feel the difference in the way he was being taken. So when he felt his cum fill him, become a part of him, Oliver, with all his preparedness for this lovemaking, wasn’t prepared at all. As soon as his cock exploded from being so close for so long, his brain and body simply froze up.
Waking up, he was terrified for a moment. There was someone up close to him, and the room he was in was as dark as pitch. When an arm came around his waist and pulled him closer, everything that had happened came flooding back to his memory like a well loved movie. He held onto David as he thought of how wonderful he felt.
“I thought for sure that you had died. Then I remembered that we’re immortal. I think that might have been the only thing that saved my life, to be honest with you.” Oliver told him that he loved him and was afraid until he answered him back. “I love you, as well. It just occurred to me that I do. You’ve been so...well, patient with me. This, what we have, is like nothing that I’ve ever enjoyed before.”
“Me either. I was thinking that while we aren’t new to having sex, we are to each other. It was, to me, like I’d only just been awakened to making love.” David said that was just it perfectly. “Thank you. I’m not one to wax poetic most days, but today if felt perfect for the two of us.”
“I’ve been dozing, but between those little naps, I was thinking about something. Mostly your family. What do you plan to do with them? I know they said jail time, but with us living forever, what happens to them? Are they afforded the same magic?” Oliver told him that he’d not thought of that. “Also, Lyle. Will he remain a seventeen-year-old for the rest of his days? Just little thoughts. I’d be all right with being seventeen for about a hundred years. So long as I knew what I know now.”
“Yeah, me too. Can you imagine the trouble we could have caused?” They both laughed. “I doubt that he’ll stay the same. I mean, the others, they all look to be in their thirties. I don’t know that anyone would seriously like to look like a kid forever. Vigor? Yes, for sure, but looking like a kid wouldn’t get you much in the way of respect, I wouldn’t think.”
“I suppose you’re right about that.” David kissed him on the shoulder, then rolled to his back. “I’m so exhausted. I think that I could sleep for a month. But I have this new boss that says I have to work with Gracie tomorrow so that she can show me the office set up.”
“You don’t have to go in that early.” He could hear small bursts of snores from David as he laid behind him. Turning carefully to look at him, Oliver thought of his life now with two people in it that he loved more than he did himself. “Christ. You’ve only been in my life for two days, and I can’t imagine life without you now.”
Oliver rolled to his back and looked up at the ceiling. He had a few thoughts going around in his head right now and decided to get up and get some work done. Oliver rarely slept more than a few hours nightly, so as he made his way downstairs after dressing, he thought of Quincey. Oliver nearly screamed when the man was standing in his office as if waiting for him.
“I didn’t mean to startle you.” Oliver told him it was fine, that he’d been thinking of him. “I know. That is why I decided to wait here for you. You’re happy then?”
“I am. Very much so. But we had a few questions. I’d like to know where my immortality came from, so I know who I should put the questions to.” Quincey said that it was from him, but had been boosted by Jake and his mate. “I don’t know what that means.”
“You were only an immortal when I saved your life. Jake and his magic made you a true immortal. You will never die. Never get sick, and it will be impossible to even remove your head.” Oliver touched his throat, wondering why that sort of thing would need to be mentioned. Quincey laughed. “I only meant to make sure you knew just how much you have in the way of living. Removing your head would have been difficult, even as just my child. Understand?”
“I do. And David, my mate, he’s the same as I am?” Quincey said that he was. However, he would like to take a bit of his blood so that he could find him if it came to that. “Yes, I’ll ask him. Lyle, he’s our son now. What happens to him? I mean, will he mature more? Or will he be what he is forever?”
“He will not only mature as your son, but you’ll notice some changes in his health and wellbeing as well. As soon as he enters this house with you on the morrow, he will begin to heal at a very rapid rate. As in by the end of the week— I believe this is Wednesday?” Oliver said it was actually Thursday morning. “Good. He will be healed completely by Saturday. Lyle will still bear some of the larger scars, but they will fade after time until they, too, are gone. I would also suggest that for a few weeks at least, he remain close to home. That way, no one will question his health. And as with David, I would also like a bit of his blood. Being a minor, you will have to answer for him. But I would suggest, like you will with David, you ask him what he’d like to do.”
“I hate to ask this, but it’s been on my mind for a couple of days now. Will he turn against me? I haven’t any idea where that thought came from, but I can’t get it out of my mind.” Quincey told him it was understandable under the circumstances. “I love that kid. Very much so. He’s made things seem brighter for me. While I have no reason to worry, I do.”
“You have nothing at all to worry about, Oliver.” He nodded, then had to take a seat. He’d not known it was bothering him that much. “He’s a good young man that has been dealt a bad hand in life. You have given him much, I think. More than he will realize yet. You and David will be good for him.”
