“They’re in the washing machine,” she said with a moan when he placed his nose against her crotch and inhaled.
“I’d love to go lingerie shopping with you,” he said, slipping off her panties. “I think we’d be in the dressing room all day.”
“I’d try on different things for you. Tiny things. Lacy things.” Lucy keened when Justin brushed his fingers across her wet folds.
Justin pulled the end of the sweater’s tie. “I feel like I’m unwrapping a special gift,” he said, pushing the sweater off her shoulders and tossing it on the floor.
Lucy’s hair fell in layered waves around her shoulders and breasts, her nipples raised in firm peaks, and her luscious lips slightly parted.
“That’s much better,” he grinned as he tucked a pillow under her hips. He got on his knees in front of her and said, “Now spread your legs wide.”
Lucy complied, biting her lip in anticipation.
“Good girl,” he said, kissing her ankle and running his hands up her legs until he reached her inner thighs. “I love you open and wanting me. I can see how wet you are.” Lucy’s folds glistened with her arousal. Her scent filled his nostrils, and he knew without touching her how wet she would feel to his fingers.
“I want to tell you a story,” he said, placing soft kisses up one leg.
“Is it a fairy tale?” she asked, gasping when he nipped her inner thigh.
“Absolutely.” Justin smiled, repeating the same process on her other leg.
“How does the fairy tale begin?”
Justin placed the tip of his finger on her clit and made light circles with his finger. “Once upon a time—” he said in a deep voice.
“Hmm. I think I’m going to like this story,” she said with a sexy grin.
“Hush,” he said, giving her clit a flick of his finger.
Lucy’s eyes went wide in excitement.
“There was a legend of a beautiful young woman with dark hair and the bluest eyes in the kingdom. Many men pursued her, but she always refused them.”
“Why was that?” she asked, closing her eyes.
“Because she was waiting to meet her prince.” Justin leaned down and licked her folds as he increased the pressure of his finger on her clit.
“Who’s the prince?” she asked with a gasp.
Justin chuckled, pulling away to resume his story, while pushing two fingers into her pussy, leisurely moving them in and out. “The prince was tired of all the ladies at his court. He was lonely. He longed to meet someone who understood him as a man, and not just a prince.”
“This sounds like a sad story,” she said with a soft moan.
“It has a happy ending,” Justin said, blowing a stream of air across her clit.
Lucy bit her lip. “Keep going. I love this story.”
Justin resumed moving his fingers inside at a steady pace. “One day the prince was riding in the forest and saw the most beautiful woman he had ever beheld, with blue eyes that captivated him from his first glance. At that moment, he knew he had to have her for his own. He was obsessed with not only her beauty, but her intelligence and kindness.”
Lucy moved her hips in time with the movement of his fingers. “Did he win her love?”
“Of course.” He chuckled again. “They were made for each other. They had to find one another. Do you want to know why?”
She looked at him through hooded eyes. “Why?” she asked in a whisper.
“Because,” he leaned down to kiss her while he added a third finger and pumped in and out, saying, “they were soulmates.”
“Justin!” she cried out when he curved his fingers forward and found her favorite spot, sending her spiraling into a climax so hard she clamped her thighs around his hand, trapping him.
He continued to kiss her as she came down from her orgasm.
“Let me love you,” Lucy said as she moved off the couch onto her knees.
“No,” he said, pulling her back onto the couch. “Stay here. I’ll be right back,” he said with a quick kiss before getting to his feet and hurrying to the bathroom.
“Lubriderm?” Lucy asked when he returned.
“Let’s try something else, shall we?” He yanked off his shirt and then unzipped his jeans and slid them off with his briefs.
Her eyes were wide as she looked at his erection and licked her lips.
“Lie back.”
Lucy’s brows raised as if asking why, but she complied.
“I’m going to fuck your tits, that’s why.” He smiled, rubbing lotion between his palms to warm it before smoothing a layer between her breasts and over the globes, giving particular attention to her nipples. Positioning his knees on either side of her, he placed his cock in between her breasts and slid up and down in a steady rhythm.
Her eyes focused on the glistening head of his cock, which bobbed tantalizingly close to her lips. “I love fucking you, but this feels great, too. Now push your tits together tight. That’s right,” he moaned as she pushed them hard around his cock. In and out he went, keeping his movements even. He wasn’t going to last long.
Lucy tipped her head forward to catch the head of his cock between her lips. “Oh, God. That feels so good,” he moaned, allowing her mouth to suck him. He was beyond out of control. He slid his hand under his hard cock and pumped once, twice, then came in powerful jets all over her breasts.
Chest heaving, he propped himself up on one arm, still straddling her, and rubbed his cum over her breasts until her nipples rose in stiff peaks. “You like that?” he asked with a grin.
“It makes me feel like I belong to you,” she said, circling one of her rosy tips with her fingers.
“You do.” Justin pulled Lucy into his arms. “And I belong to you.”
CHAPTER 17
Lucy
During the next few days, Lucy and Justin prepared to return to Greece. While Justin tied up some loose ends with his solicitor, Lucy went shopping. Even though it was fall, London offered shops and boutiques that catered to those who could afford to defy the season. Justin insisted she take his credit card and do as much damage as possible. He wanted her to buy everything she would need for a month on Santorini. “And I want you to buy things you don’t need, and things to surprise me,” he whispered, raising his eyebrows.
“Okay,” she said with an exaggerated sigh, pretending it was a burden, then leaned in for a kiss.
He straightened the collar of her shirt, his mouth curving into a sexy smile. “But promise me that you’ll never, ever, get rid of my favorite shirt.”
Lucy groaned when she noticed the top button had opened again. “I should probably change before I leave.” She rebuttoned the top button.
“No way,” he said, his eyes scorching with heat. “I’m looking forward to undoing every single one of those buttons when you come home.”
“Home,” she said with a grin. Anywhere she was with Justin felt like home. And although his flat was more like a sterile bachelor pad, she enjoyed being alone with him in his own place for a change.
He kissed her one more time. “Make sure those buttons stay closed. No one gets a peek at what’s mine,” he growled into her ear.
“Does that mean what I think it means?” she asked with her brows raised. She and Justin had enjoyed pleasuring each other, but he still had not made love to her yet.
“We’ll see,” he said with a wide smile. “Now scoot. The sooner you leave, the sooner you return.” He gave her a soft pat on her bottom.
Vivian accompanied Lucy on the shopping expedition. Together, the two of them plundered shop after shop. Vivian possessed an excellent eye for fashion and insisted Lucy try on things she never would have considered wearing in Los Angeles. She felt different now. She bought piles of lingerie that made her blush, but she bought them anyway because she knew Justin would be delighted to peel her out of corsets and beautiful lace bras and panties.
After a long day of shopping, and sending all her purchases to Justin’s flat, Vivian insisted on taking Lucy to Mimi’s in Mayfair for tea. Decorated in various shades of pink, with crisp white linen tablecloths, the interior was the epitome of British tradition. Tea was served using the prettiest and most delicate china she had ever seen.
Lucy slipped off her blue blazer and ran a hand through her tangled hair. While eating tiny sandwiches and sipping champagne, she reveled in the feeling of freedom and a happy future that she finally felt was within reach.
Vivian raised her glass. “I’d like to make a toast.”
“What are we toasting?”
“To new beginnings.” Vivian grinned.
“I couldn’t agree more,” Lucy said, clinking glasses with Vivian.
“Did you get your leave of absence extended like you were hoping?”
“Yes,” Lucy said, selecting a cucumber sandwich. “I spoke with my supervisor yesterday, and I have a thirty day extension.” She had also checked in with Dr. Grant, her Ph.D. advisor, and was assured she was on track with her dissertation. There would be plenty of time to consider her career options, but now was not one of them. She had every intention of enjoying her vacation with Justin.
“And your parents?” Vivian asked quietly.
Lucy nibbled a corner of the sandwich and recalled the conversation she had with her parents that morning. “My dad is fine. I had no idea they had been in debt for years. My father had hoped this merger with William Pierce would be a new beginning. Instead, it was a scam from start to finish. My parents will have to file for bankruptcy and liquidate their belongings to pay back all the money they owe to creditors. It’s going to mean a significant downscaling in lifestyle. For the time being, they’re happy to be together and safe. We’ll see,” she said with a small shrug. Her parents had betrayed her at every opportunity with Edward. These were serious issues and she would need time to process her feelings about her relationship with her parents in order to move forward with them.
She regarded Vivian for a moment. She wanted to know, but she didn’t want to bring up the topic.
“Do have a question for me?” Vivian asked with concern.
“What’s going to happen to Edward?”
Vivian shook her head. “He’s not going anywhere for a long time. The police have taken the bellman’s statement about what he witnessed the night of the attack. Edward hired a powerful solicitor, but I’m confident he won’t be able to weasel out of his crimes. His father has already been arrested and I’m sure Edward will be too. So rest easy.”
“Thank you. I appreciate everything you’ve done for me.”
Vivian waved a hand in the air. “Just doing my job. Now,” she said, leaning forward, placing her elbows on the table, “you have to explain something to me.”
Lucy nodded while taking a sip of tea.
“Explain to me why Professor Somerville insisted you deliver the cross to her,” she asked with an arched brow. “I wouldn’t think the grande dame would trust anyone but the police. And why would she want something that valuable with her in Greece?”
“I know what you mean, but Beatrice believes that some things need to be seen, not stored away.” She had been surprised when Beatrice had told her that. From the first time she met Beatrice, Lucy knew the older woman recognized they had a shared interest in the cross.
The restaurant was becoming too warm and getting louder as it filled up with other women laden with shopping bags.
“I know this was a stressful time for you, but I’m glad we met,” Vivian said with a warm smile. “I look forward to getting to know you better when you and Justin return to London.”
“Me, too. I appreciate everything you’ve done for both of us.” She missed her best friend Colleen terribly, but Vivian was her first friend in London, and she was looking forward to seeing her again in the future.
***
When Lucy returned to Justin’s flat, she was greeted by Chester. “Good afternoon, madam,” he said with a tip of his hat.
“Good afternoon, Chester,” she replied with a grin. Now that Rachel’s scandal had passed, Justin was held in high esteem by the building’s staff and his neighbors. The media was forced to do some soul- searching about the poor quality of their reporting, and the public responded with their temporary admonishment of the press. In other words, Justin and Lucy were riding high in the public eye. It was a perfect time to get away from renewed attention and enjoy their privacy without anything hanging over their heads.
Lucy entered the elevator and pressed the button several times for Justin’s floor. She giggled when she realized old habits die hard. As the elevator moved, she pulled out her phone and grinned at a text Justin had sent an hour earlier:
I miss you. Come home. Jxo
She didn’t have time to reply because the elevator doors opened and she hurried down the hall. Just as she was about to put her new key in the lock, she listened through the door. He was singing, and it wasn’t a song she recognized. Not wanting to disturb him, Lucy opened the door as quietly as she could, and then closed it with a soft click.
Justin was sitting on a chair near the large living room window. The late afternoon sun shone on one side of his face as he moved his head in time with the music. She stood still for a few moments, listening to him sing about a sunrise on a Greek island and about a beautiful woman. He had written a song about their time at the villa.
As he played the last chord, he turned to her. A slow, lazy smile spread across his face as he stood, placing his guitar on the couch. “You’re home,” he said in a relaxed voice, walking to her.
“Is that a new song?”
“Yeah.” Justin’s eyes searched hers. “I wrote it for you.”
“It’s about our first morning at the villa, isn’t it?”
“Yes, it is.” He placed his palm against her cheek.
Lucy laid her hand on top of his and closed her eyes, which had welled with tears. “It’s beautiful.”
“I love you, Lucy.” Justin intertwined his fingers with hers and gave her a gentle kiss that made her swoon as his mouth opened and his tongue moved around hers in a sensuous dance.
“Justin—” He placed both hands on her face and brushed away a few of her tears.
“Shh,” he soothed. “No more tears. I only want to make you happy.” He smiled as they both noticed the top button of her shirt popped open. “You had a lot of packages delivered this afternoon.”
“Too many?” she asked, re-buttoning her shirt.
He batted her hand away and gave her a roguish grin. “Never too many. There was one large box from La Perla that has me particularly curious,” he murmured as he undid the button.
“You told me we have to wait,” she said, swatting his hand away, “so we’ll wait.”
Justin lifted her by her ass and pushed her up against the door. His kisses were wild, and Lucy matched his passion with her own. Aside from their breathing, the only sound was the rain splashing against the windows.
“What if I changed my mind?” he asked, returning his attention to her buttons. “I don’t think I can wait anymore.” He ripped open her shirt, scattering buttons across the floor, and kissed the tops of her breasts.
“But I thought—” she gasped.
“I want you now.” He ground his pelvis against hers, making the seam of her jeans rub against her clit in a delightfully decadent way.
She gasped in pleasure. She loved tender Justin, but she was wild about the dominant lover who revealed a part of her she never knew existed.
“Come on.” He swept her up in his arms and headed to the bedroom.
Lucy gasped when someone knocked on the door.
“Shit!” he growled, turning to the door.
“Open up, Justin,” Max bellowed from the other side.
Lucy’s brow furrowed. “Max?”
“I forgot I asked him to come over. He wanted to see you and make sure you’re all right,” he said with an exhale.
“Well, let’s open the door then.” Lucy laughed.
“Are you sure?” he asked, placing her feet on the ground.
“Max is like a brother to you. That means he’s special to me, too.” She pulled her shirt around her body. Let him in while I go change, okay?” she said, giving him a quick kiss. “We’ll have lots of time together.”
Lucy entered the bedroom and removed her shirt, shaking her head as she thought about how much Justin loved it. She would have to save all the buttons and sew them back on some day, but it would probably never be the same. In the meantime, she pulled on a black V-neck cashmere sweater and returned to the living room.
“Here she is.” Justin held out a hand to her.
“Hi, Max.”
“Hey Lucy! How are you doing?” Max’s usual gruff voice was filled with emotion as he gave her an awkward hug.
“I’m okay. Thank you so much for everything,” Lucy said with a smile.
Max laughed loudly. “No, I owe you thanks for taking this sorry arsehole off my hands,” he said, pointing at Justin.
“Watch it, you tosser.” Justin joined him in laughter, taking Lucy by the hand and pulling her to his side.
“How’s your shoulder?” Lucy asked.
“It’s all good,” Max answered with a huge grin in Justin’s direction.
“Bloody hell!” Justin said, trying to look annoyed but failing.
“No worries, mate,” Max said, slapping Justin on the back.
Justin and Max laughed until they cried, pointing at each other, repeating those two vile phrases. Lucy laughed with them until her cheeks hurt.
When their laughter subsided, Lucy asked with a glance at Justin, “Can you stay for dinner, Max?”
Max looked back and forth at them. “You two probably have…uh…plans.”
“We leave tomorrow, and we’d love to have dinner with you, wouldn’t we, Justin?” she asked with a raised brow.
