“Take care,” Cassie said as she ended the call.
She jumped when her phone rang with Colleen’s name on the screen.
“Hey, Colleen. What’s new?” Lucy asked in a bored voice.
“Lucy Bianchi, I hate you!” Colleen screamed over the phone.
Lucy held the phone away and laughed. “Relax, Colleen.”
“So you’re in Greece with Justin?” Colleen cried.
“We’re staying at his producer’s very beautiful and very private villa.” She exhaled, sitting on one of the sun loungers.
“I guess you know what’s going on, right?” Colleen asked seriously.
“Yeah, I know. Justin and I were in a self-imposed offline world, but the real world showed up soon enough.”
Lucy proceeded to tell Colleen all about London, meeting Beatrice, Edward’s attack, and then leaving London with Justin.
“So much has happened since I last saw you. It’s like your whole life has changed overnight.”
“It feels like that.” Lucy closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun on her face.
“So—” Colleen said, stretching out the one-syllable word, “tell me all about Justin.”
“What do you want to know?” Lucy answered with a nonchalant attitude.
“Don’t be coy. You know what I want to know.”
Lucy opened her eyes just as Justin leaned in for a soft kiss, motioning for her to hang up.
“Um, I have to go, Colleen. I promise to call you back soon,” she said with a wide grin, ending the call.
CHAPTER 31
Lucy
Lucy convinced Justin to take a nap. He hadn’t slept much so they made a pact. He would return to bed if she stayed with him, but she insisted they would only sleep.
Lucy dozed, but she was restless. Talking to Cassie had stirred up everything she had learned from Melina, and she wanted to share it with Justin, but he was preoccupied with returning to London and confronting Rachel’s accusations. It was frivolous to indulge an interest in Melina’s psychic beliefs, though visiting Yaya might have been interesting if they didn’t have to leave the island so soon.
She rolled over and smiled as she watched Justin sleep. He was lying on his back, with one hand over his chest, and his breathing was slow and even; his lips were slightly apart as the air passed between them. The sound was comforting to her. She gently placed her hand over his heart and felt its steady beat.
“What are you up to?” Justin mumbled in his deep voice. He rolled over and took her hand in his as he opened his eyes.
“Just enjoying the view,” she said softly. “Did you sleep well?”
Justin blinked a few times and interlaced his hand with hers. “I did. It’s because you’re here with me.”
“Me, too.”
“But you weren’t sleeping just now. What’s on your mind?” he said through a yawn.
Lucy shrugged. “Nothing. Everything.” She leaned her head against his chest while gazing at the brilliant blue sky outside. “We have so much to confront. I wish I could just turn it off for a few more days.”
Justin turned her face to his. “I’m sure this will be cleared up soon and then we can decide what to do about us.”
“You make it seem so easy,” she whispered, lifting her face to his.
“It can be. You can choose to look at the big picture, or you can get pulled into all the details. Keep your eyes on the prize, baby.” He gave her a cocky grin.
Lucy leaned in for a quick kiss, but Justin pulled her into his arms for a deep kiss that left her breathless. She pushed off him and sat up, pulling the sheet up to cover her breasts.
Justin placed one arm behind his head and gazed at her. His lips curled upward as he reached forward and slowly pulled the sheet down to expose her breasts. Her nipples hardened by the sensation, but his lustful expression made her shudder with need.
“Look at you,” he said, his voice raspy from sleep and raw desire.
He wasn’t even touching her, and the emotion of his words alone made her feel desirable.
Justin reached out to run his hand through her long, wavy hair. His gaze began at the top of her head and traveled all over her face, until he smiled slightly and then continued his visual exploration of her body, his right hand tenderly caressing her breast.
Lucy closed her eyes and moaned, moving in closer to his touch.
Justin’s hand stilled, and she opened her eyes. No words were necessary as they held each other’s gaze. So many emotions moved across his face.
“I love you,” she said breathlessly.
“You’re so precious to me.” He reached up to pull her to him and held her head close to his chest, pressing his lips to her head.
The mood was turning from lust to something more melancholy. She wanted to lighten things up, so she sat up and announced, “Let’s go down to the beach. We’ll bring down a picnic supper like Althea suggested.”
“Maybe I’m more comfortable here.” His fingers traveled slowly down her back.
“No.” She playfully pushed his hand away. “I want this. It’s our last day here. I want to make it memorable.”
“Whatever the lady wants,” Justin said, kissing her bare shoulder.
Lucy and Justin raided the refrigerator and loaded up a hamper with salami, fruit, cheeses, crackers, nuts, and olives. They also packed a cooler with beer, champagne, and water.
It was late afternoon as they walked down the weathered stone steps that led to the beach below. The sand was warm, and the sea was a deep blue with the waves lapping gently against the shore. A few fluffy white clouds floated above in an otherwise clear, blue sky.
“Oh, my God,” Lucy exclaimed. “This is amazing.”
“This is set up like another room of the house, but outside,” Justin said, setting the cooler down.
A dining area, complete with a wooden table and two chairs, sat within a gazebo-like structure with sheer curtains on all sides. There were freshly laundered linens in a cupboard that also included an abundance of battery-operated candles.
Lucy caught Justin’s slow smile as they both stared at the huge daybed that had four posters and had similar gauzy curtains as the nearby dining area.
“Well, Althea was right about one thing.” Justin laughed as he pulled her into his arms. “I am a horny bastard, and I have every intention of having you right here on the beach.”
“Let’s go for a swim.” She gave him a quick kiss and then pulled her white sundress over her head and tossed it aside.
“Wow,” Justin said, his eyes wide in surprise. “If this is one of Althea’s purchases, I’m going to have to give her a substantial tip.”
Lucy slowly turned around for him. In the past, she would have felt self-conscious in a bikini, especially this bikini, but judging Justin’s reaction, she made the right choice. The lime-green bikini was almost too small, especially the top. It barely covered her breasts and tied in the back. The bottom tied on the sides, which added a little flexibility for the width of her curvy hips.
Justin pulled off his white button-down shirt and tossed it to the side. “Come here,” he growled, his voice deep. He was wearing black swim shorts that hung low on his hips. He was irresistible.
Lucy bit her bottom lip, shook her head, and ran toward the sea. She jumped in just before Justin could catch up to her. She swam out a distance before stopping and turning around to look for him. He was nowhere in sight, so Lucy kept swimming. The water was warm, and she enjoyed the sensation of her body moving through the water.
When she came up for air, Justin’s face popped up in front of her and she squealed. He was breathing heavily as he pulled a hand through his hair and gave her a cheeky smile. “You ran away from me.”
“I believe I swam away from you,” she said, splashing water in his face. “I guess it’s only fair to tell you that I was captain of the swim team in high school,” she said with pride.
“Well, we have that in common.” He grinned, wiping the water from his face. “I was the champion swimmer for not only the village of Tetbury but also the entire Gloucestershire region of Britain.”
“Gee, I’m impressed.” She laughed just before she turned around and headed back to shore. She had a head start on him, but he soon caught up to her and passed her with a small wave.
“Bastard.” She put everything she had into the swim, but he easily increased his length. In no time at all, he was waiting for her on the shore.
Lucy continued swimming until her feet touched the rocky bottom, pulling her hair away from her face as she walked onto the beach. His slow smile was seductive as he approached her. She was captivated by the beads of water covering his skin and the movement of his muscles. His eyes had never looked so blue.
“You ran away from me, and then you swam away from me.” He had a determined glint in his eye.
Lucy took a step away from him. She was just about to bolt up the beach when he caught her and pulled her into his arms, kissing her soundly. “You drive me crazy in that tiny bikini.” He slowly pulled the tie on her top and watched as it loosened her breasts and then smiled as he pulled it off her and dropped it in the wet sand at their feet.
“That’s much better.” His gaze drifted to her breasts and then lifted to her eyes.
Lucy no longer felt self-conscious around Justin. On the contrary, she felt adored as she held eye contact with him.
“You’re no longer the shy girl I met on that California beach,” he said with a touch of wistfulness.
“No, I’m not.” She spoke confidently and surprised herself by taking the initiative. Justin placed one hand on her side, just under her breast. His other hand slipped just under her bikini bottom.
His eyes never left hers until she placed her thumb inside his shorts and pulled them down just enough to torture him.
Justin’s lips twitched. “Are you trying to tease me?” His hand moved to the string on the bikini bottom.
She pulled the string free as it fell to the sand and she stepped out of it. “I never tease,” she said, sliding her hand over his cock. “Not if there’s something I want.”
Justin made a hissing sound and then shoved his shorts down and kicked them out of the way. His erection was so hard; it jutted upward to his stomach.
There was no running away this time. Justin scooped her up in his arms and walked back to the daybed with her, placing her gently on top of the white sheets.
She looked up at him, unsure as to what he was going to do next. His eyes gleamed with heat, and his beard underscored his fierce masculinity.
He smiled slowly. “You were naughty to run away from me.”
“So?” she replied casually, her body tingling in anticipation.
Justin’s gaze was intense. Without warning, he flipped her onto her hands and knees and spanked her ass.
Lucy yelped in response. It stung, but it excited her.
He spanked her two more times before rolling her on her back. Lucy was panting and pushed the hair out of her face.
Justin breathed heavily as he gazed down at her with feral intensity. He pushed away from the bed and gave her a slow, devilish grin.
“What’s the matter?” Lucy asked, lifting herself on her elbows. “Why did you stop?”
Justin drew his lower lip between his teeth as he took his cock in his hand, slowly running it up and down his thick shaft. His eyes were hooded as he continued to keep his concentration on Lucy.
With a small smile, Lucy leaned back against the pillows as she brushed her fingers against her nipples, keeping her attention on Justin’s intense gaze as he continued to leisurely stroke himself.
“Do you want this?” Justin asked.
“Yes,” she whispered, her eyes transfixed on the erotic sight of Justin’s expression as he stroked his stiff cock.
“If you do, you’ll have to beg me for it.” His voice a low growl.
Lucy’s mouth curved into a smile. Her hand traveled over her belly and continued its leisurely journey. “Hmm. I’m pretty happy just watching you right now.”
Justin continued stroking himself as he walked closer to the bed. “Show me. Let me see.”
Lucy parted her legs just enough and let out a sigh as her fingers stroked across her wet folds.
Jamie said with a grunt, “No, touch your nipples first. I want to see you pinch them a bit.” His hand continued to move in long strokes along his cock.
Keeping her eyes on his, Lucy ignored his demand. “I think I like this better,” she said with a moan.
Justin approached the bed and placed one knee on the bed. His blue eyes dark with longing.
“Do you want this?” she challenged, moving her fingers to her clit, her body trembling with need.
“You know I do.” The muscles in his jaw tensed.
“Are you going to beg me for it?” Lucy closed her eyes, rubbing her nub with the pad of her fingers. The pleasure intensified because Justin watched her. Her fingers moved faster over her clit, swirling around the bundle of nerves. She was lost in her own vortex of sensation, her body arched and released her orgasm.
“Fuck,” she heard Justin whisper, the bed shifting with his weight.
Blinking her eyes open, she slowed her fingers down, stretching her pleasure.
Justin was sitting on the side of the bed, his smoldering gaze scanning every inch of her body. “I’m not going to beg,” he said in a soft voice, gently running his fingers over her cheek to her lips as his eyes found hers. “I’m going to worship you.” He leaned in closer, taking her face in his hands and gave her a languorous kiss. He kissed her as if he had all the time in the world to savor her until he was fully sated.
“Justin,” she said, pushing him away a little, as she tried to catch her breath.
He pulled back and gave her a slow, breathtaking smile. “You mean everything to me, Lucy.”
Lucy was speechless. She had tried to take control of their sex game, but Justin’s smoldering expression caught her off guard. She placed her hand over his, smiling up at him. “I know. I feel the same way.” She reached her hands around his neck and pulled him closer, taking control of the kiss.
Justin broke away as he straddled her body and without another word, guided himself into her core with a delicious, but agonizingly slow penetration. Inch by inch, he took his time, and she savored every sensation as his cock filled her completely.
Never taking her eyes from his, Lucy let out a deep moan when he was fully inside.
Justin ravished her with kisses while they moved as one until they found their release together.
***
Lucy took another sip of champagne, looking out at the horizon. It was almost sunset, but it was still quite warm. She didn’t put her bikini back on. Instead she wore Justin’s white button-down shirt and nothing else.
They had turned on the battery-powered torches that were scattered around the dining area and daybed. Justin had found a bossa nova channel to play on Phil’s sound system, and even though they were a long way from Brazil, the music fit the setting perfectly.
Much to her disappointment, Justin put his swim shorts back on. He took a bite of cheese and then finished his beer. Patting his lap, he said, “This is our last night in Greece, and I want to watch the sunset together.”
Lucy put her champagne glass down and walked to him. Sitting on his lap, he kissed her cheek and held her in his arms.
The horizon was a bright orange, and the blue above was getting increasingly darker.
He wrapped his arms tighter around her as they continued to sit in the chair, neither wanting to break their connection. She closed her eyes and listened to the waves lap against the shore, lulled by the rhythmic sound.
“I love this shade of blue,” she said as they watched the sky get darker. She pointed to the horizon. “That’s an indigo sky.”
“Yes, it is,” Justin said, holding her hand and bringing it to his lips.
She turned to him and studied the angles of his face. His eyes were almost as deep as the darkening blue sky.
“Lucy, since I met you, I dream of you when I’m asleep and think of you when I’m awake,” he said, kissing her palm. “I love you.”
“And I’ll always love you,” Lucy said, caressing Justin’s beard and looking into his eyes.
Lucy was suddenly flooded with sensations, memories, and images. Something about their words, touch, and expression seemed so familiar to her. And yet, there was a sense of underlying danger and fear that somehow, some way she would lose him.
“Lucy?” Justin asked. “Are you all right?” He wiped her tears away and kissed her cheek.
“Something about the setting sun, our words, the kiss on my palm; it all felt so familiar. And yet, I have a sense something terrible is about to happen.”
A full moon was beginning to rise, and it was strange to be caught between the juxtaposition of night and day.
“Now it seems silly,” she said with a shake of her head, “but as you were telling me you loved me, so many things flooded my mind. Did you feel anything like that?”
“Yeah,” he replied in a quiet voice. “For some reason the color of the sky triggered something,” he said, taking her hand in his, “I had a strong desire to protect you from some kind of danger. But, I’m in love with you, so maybe that’s why.”
She nodded. “Maybe. But those feelings hit me so hard when you kissed my palm.”
Justin held her hand and brought her hand slowly to his mouth. “Like this?” He kissed the palm of her hand tenderly.
This time she didn’t have the same panic and fears, just a deep desire for more.
“You’re not saying anything.” He smiled behind her palm, looking up into her eyes.
She took the same hand and placed it on his cheek.
Justin gave her a lazy grin. “Let me take you to bed.” He kissed her lips softly and then slowly deepened the kiss.
