  We make a trade... today this evening at 5. I'd expect they have guards... but you know they will be out numbered and with Scarlet in my possession they will be forced to surrender.

  I can just feel like I am winning already. I feel it in my veins, I feel my conscience just getting the closer it needed.

  I feel, powerful in some way and I feel like I have accomplished what I was suppose to in the beginning when I didn't kill her.

  I walk down the corridor. I made sure my men had their guns loaded. Artillery ready whenever, I mean unless they decided to surrender quickly.

  When I arrived down the entrance I saw that guards held Scarlet down but she wouldn't look at me... there is more of a chance she can die... I just don't want to be there when it happens...

  And even if she makes it out alive where is she going to go? It would be impossible to go anywhere without her being spotted.

  "Ma'am we're ready." Guard said as I walked to my mother.

  "Be safe... and I hope you know it's not too late." She whispered before letting me go.

  I saw Scarlet in the corner of my eye as I walked, she looked at me. No emotions... I need to do this...

  We traveled to where we met in the middle of our kingdoms. We saw them, I looked over at her and she didn't even seem excited.

  "As promised... Scarlet for you." I said holding the signal to not fire.

  "You don't think it would have been that easy." He said laughing.

  I grabbed my gun putting it up to Scarlet's head. We made eye contact and she didn't seem to flinch or move. It's like she had already accepted her fate.

  "Does this tell you any difference." I asked looking at them.

  "Kill her. We don't care..." he said and I was shocked... I looked at scarlet and she had one of the saddest eyes ever.

  "You think we cared? By the fact that right now we are attacking you." He said and I felt my heart drop.

  I pulled the safety off my gun and was close to pulling the trigger when a knife took out one of my guards. Looking over to see another clan.

  "Well well well, y'all settling this out? Whenever your done I want to fight the winner." A girl. A woman was in the mask.

  That was when a whole battle started. Scarlet's kingdom attacked first before we all went down. I grabbed Scarlet's hand as she pulled away from me.

  "Cmon I'm getting you somewhere safe." I said as she looked at me.

  "You care now? Wow..." she said before grabbing the knife that was thrown first.

  I shook my head as she ran at me with her knife. I must admit that she had good combat skills. She could have killed me if she wanted. She managed to slice my stomach and my face.

  She may have been good but I was better. I was faster than she could and blocked her next attack. Catching her wrist that was bandaged up making her wince in pain.

  "Tell me, did you expect this to happen? Them not to care if your alive or dead?" I asked. I can tell she was hurt but she was hiding.

  "Tell me! Tell me that this was apart of your plan to escape! Tell me how you planned this behind my back!" I yelled at her as she was trying to get out of my grasp.

  "Your smart. I'll give you that. Having a clan to have your back and distract me. Well that's not gonna work for you." I said before shoving her to the ground. The dagger flipped and landing somewhere else.

  "Your acting was great. Tell me was the kidnapping apart of your plan too? Cause if so, your really good. Just not good enough for me." I said as she looked at me with fear.

  Wiping the blood off my face, I stood above her dragging my gun out and aiming it to her face.

  "Well tell me. Tell me how you were gonna finish off this plan? You were gonna escape?" I asked as I clenched my fist.

  "Bomb!" I heard seeing one drop next to us. I felt a body shove me to the ground and explosion happening.

  Scarlet's Pov

  "Well for fuck sakes! Wake her up!" I heard. It felt blurry and drowned out voices.

  "Dustin she's my little sister. This entire time she thinks I'm fucking dead. She deserves to know." Skyler? Is that Skylar?

  I tried reaching out but my body couldn't move. Am I paralyzed? Really, blind and paralyzed. What a fucking joke.

  "She just barely survived a bomb. She's going to take awhile to wake up." Another voice spoke out.

  "And the Shumate girl?" Ann.. thats Anna!

  I shouldn't be happy. She wanted to kill me and here I was. I shoved her to the ground to prevent the explosion to ever explode half her fucking body away.

  I expected my parents to not care. I knew they were playing an act to get Anna tricked and it actually worked but with what favors? I die and they never have a child again? No one will continue their legacy, what game were they playing here?

  "She's under care too. She'll recover fast though. She wasn't badly injured especially with Scarlet on top of her covering nearly her entire body." They said has I felt a little relieved.

  I don't wish death upon anyone. I don't want to fight but if it saves my life I will.

  "Put her down in the basement. I wanna have a chat with her." Voices are starting to drown slow in a warped way.

  "As for my parents. I'll kill them myself. All I have to do is convince Scarlet to join me and everything will be good. The queen's dead for the Shumate family.. right?" I heard.. they had planned this for a long time.

  They knew what was happening at the very start! But how did they know everyone's plan?

  "I am so sorry Scar, this was never suppose to happen this way." She said as I felt her hands against my face. Softly caressing...

  Her voice... her touch was slowly fading away. I felt like I was spinning in circles. Everything is so confusing..

  Anna's POV

  I woke up to just sitting against a wall. A room, the walls were painted white. It was just an empty room with nothing but a ceiling light and a table.

  I groaned trying to remember what happened. A bomb, there was a bomb. I know that but what I was doing?

  Where's Tommy? Where is Scarlet. And where the fuck am I?

  I was fighting with Scarlet... I thought she was apart of this plan... she still could be, I have to be kept on my toes about her. I still don't trust her.

  I don't trust anyone. My dad taught me to be careful with who I trusted. And that I had my side to pick and keep.

  "Ugh finally your awake. You slept like a fucking monster. Should get that checked out." I heard a familiar voice. Looking up to see her as she smiled.

  "So you and my sister... didn't expect you to go for her. Ill give it to you, she is definitely a good person to keep around." She said sitting down at the table.

  "You know she shoved you out of range in front of the bomb. Used her body to protect you." She kept going as I stared at her.

  " Your suppose to be dead. My dad died because you died." I said as she laughed a little.

  "Listen. It was your dad's fault he wasn't aware of his surrounding. It gave me time to put a decoy body down and get out."

  I couldn't bring scarlet with me. My parents favorited me over her more so I get why she doesn't like them." She said before someone brought in a some food and a bottled water.

  "So why did you run away. They clearly did after letting their only daughter to die."

  "They what..." She mumbled has if she just heard the worst news of her life.

  "Yeah they said they didn't care if she died. I thought this was a escape plan for Scarlet but they just let her free in the crossfire." I mumbled feeling a little hungry with the sandwich in front of me.

  "My sister is blind right? Or did she get her sight back?" She asked softly.

  "She's blind in one eye."

  "Sit... Your gonna need this food and energy. Because whatever happens next will decide your fate and where you belong." She said standing up and pushing a sandwich and a water to me.

  "what do you mean my next fate." I asked slowly grabbing the sandwich to make sure its not poisoned.

  "You'll see. It's not poisoned, I'm not that dumb." She said leaving and shutting the door after.

  I slowly started to bite in the sandwich. While doing so I thought about Scarlet. I thought she was apart of the escape plan but the look in her eyes after they said they didn't care if she was dead really broke her.

  They were just so full of sadness, but it brings me to the fact that if Scarlet died than no one would continue the kingdom... Unless there was another child or they knew that Skyler was still alive. But no one knew that she was alive. She got out alone and planned it by herself.

  I admit it.. The entire family is smart, not brute force or strength was not needed to win battle. They went behind my plan and took people out without me even knowing.

  Slowly my sandwich was being finished. I drank some water to wash the sandwich down. Fuck I wonder if my mom was okay. I hope she got alive, I wonder where Tommy and if Brandon made it out with my mom. I need them to be okay because they are the last thing I have left.

  I look down in the water finding it funny, my body was gradually shutting down. The sandwich was grainy and it wouldn't go down without water. Fuck they were smart, they put something in my water.

  My eyes slowly closed, it wasn't poison but it was definitely strong. I heard the door opened and shoes walking in but I was too far gone out to get up.

  Anna's Pov

  Waking up was the worst part. The pounding headache and the bright lights. I looked around at my surroundings to see other people. It was one giant room and a bunch of people who were either training, fucking, or sleeping.

  And the rest of the people were watching out the window. A fighting pit... to the death...

  As three died the winner was put in another room and one person was brought out from each room.

  4 rooms in total of the circular pit. The rooms aligned on the sides. When one person goes out they meet in the middle for the winner.

  Weapons were used however and armor was there when needed. But did the armor work. From what I saw... no. It didn't. People were being brutally murdered.

  "What day is it." I asked the person next to me.

  "Well... you were brought in 2 weeks ago. They induced you into a coma so you could heal from whatever injuries you came with." He said as I looked at him.

  "General Kalder," he said as I noticed him.

  "I am the the protector of Scarlet Dixon and was fighting along side of the King when the battle began." He said.

  "I-.." I didn't know what to say.

  "If you were on the other side of this cage. And I was fighting you. I'd have no mercy. I'd kill you in cold blood." He said clenching his fists.

  "I loved her and you just took her away like some prized treasure. And than. You traded her as you saw the sadness in her eyes when you realized no one cared if she lived." He said facing the pit.

  "But we're on the same team. So I have to put up with you." He said dismissing himself to be put in the field.

  There were 10 fights each night. During the day was to do whatever until your fight was down.

  There was a list of people to go first and than whoever volunteered after. The first people I'd expect were big criminals. I also realized if you were to kill someone in your caged group you were put on the opposite side and moved up to the first line.

  The cage was being filled with more and more people each week. Everyone waking up from comas... not everyone got a bed. They all fought for one.

  I trained. And nights passed. I slept against the wall with a knife in hand in case someone wanted to fuck around and find out.

  "Psst." I heard as I ignored it. Footsteps started to become louder. I raised one eye to look around when I saw a guard standing in front of me.

  "Aye come with me. Boss wants to talk with ya." He said as he dragged me out. Throwing my knife at the alarm that starts the arena horns.

  I followed the man as he dragged me to a room. I stood my back against the wall and waiting.

  "I see your doing a lot better." I heard. The door hasn't opened... who's there.

  "Ahh. I know. You should know I never used the doors." She said dropping down in front of me.

  "But... I know someone who does." She said as the door opened.

  Scarlet... her body was littered in scars that were already healed but was never going to disappear. I gulped down my pride and looked away from her.

  "Scar here has a proposition for you." Skylar said.

  "You win the battle out there... we can rise your job to... a guard? Only if you cooperate." She said as I looked at her.

  "Are you trying yo own me now?" I mumbled.

  "Oh... honey I already did the second you raised a gun at my sister." She said as I remembered the vivid events.

  "To think that she would betray you?" Skylar kept going on and on.

  I snuck a look at Scarlet who looked nothing but numb. She didn't look at me but looked at the sky outside the window.

  "Sky- can you shut the fuck up now." She said not looking away.

  "It's your choice... get back with me when you win. Or don't." She said.

  "What happens if I don't." I asked before she left.

  "Well... you go up to the bigger arena. And if you win the big arena your free to go." She said looking st me and than looking at Scarlet.

  "But... I mean, where would you go?" She whispered giggling.

  "Anyways... Goodluck." She said swiping out the the windows. I looked over at Scarlet who was still looking numb.

  "I'm sorry." I whispered.

  "For what? You play the game. No one wins, people win battles but no one ever wins a war without losing." She said looking down before looking at me.

  "I fell in love with you." She said before laughing a little.

  "Can you believe that? And even after all the spite and the brutality you threw at me, I loved you enough to push you out of the way." She said before walking to the door.

  "But now... I don't know if I have any feelings for you left, no hatred, but definitely no love." She said gently opening the door.

  "I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you wanted." She said before leaving me in the stupid fucking room.

  ⚠️BRUTALITY AKA FINISH HER TYPE SHIT⚠️

  Anna's Pov

  "Annnnnnnnnd the famous leader- or should I say ex-leader of the White Mafia?" I heard as I stepped out. Unfortunately I'm only good with guns and a spear would have been nice but... I'm stuck with this bowstaff that breaks into two halves.

  The crowd was yelling. I could hear boo's and other things in the crowd, but what got my attention was that Scarlet was sitting in the royal seat next to her sister. Which whom had a mischievous grin on her face.

  "ANNA SHUMATE!!" The crowd got more meaner. More loud and it was hard to focus.

  "And the top champion who has been here for many many fights... The legendary... RED FALCON!!!" I was expecting something a little simple. But this man went all out. He had armor while I was stuck with a breastplate and knee pads. Paid to win series...

  He was wearing a shiny red and black armor with more of a falcon helmet looking. He took it off and shook his long black hair like he was some goddess. I stood there waiting impatiently for this fight to get on with it and let me see if I kill myself today.

  He blew kisses to the crowd and winked up at the royals who Skylar was glad to take, but Scarlet on the other hand was gone. I looked around before hearing my name call out again.

  "Unfortunately this is not all... Scarlet has not started the battle and is not in her chair." the dude directing this fight.

  I looked around to see Scarlet landing right behind my opponent. When he saw her he got on his knees and offered his hand to kiss hers. I fake gagged as they both looked at me.

  "I presume that is for me my lady?" He asked going for whatever was in the briefcase.

  "No. Sit." She said as the guy looked confused but still got out of her way.

  "You can't win steel with wood... So... Here is this. Odds would be unfair to you and you deserve a proper fight for a proper... leader." She said opening the briefcase to which its the same weapon but this is more extendable. More stronger material...

  "Well thank you... uhm- lo- I mean my lady?" I cursed myself as she looked at me. Her soft hands took the weapon out of my hand and replaced it with the one she had. It felt heavy but lightweight at the same time.

  I extended it as it shot out from both ends blade to blade. Detachable too... My kind of fuckin weapon.

  She leaned in to my ear whispering. Her soft tone of voice. The kind of tone you hear from a girl personating a dangerous person.

  "For the love of God... Please kill him. I don't care how you do it, just make his fat ego disappear." She said and I smiled. What I realized is that she left something in my pocket. I didn't want to take it out or feel for it in case people we're watching.

  "It would be my pleasure." I said and she smiled backing off and picking up the briefcase. She walked passed my opponent with her head up high. Him was moving so she could walk.

  "Good Boy."She said which made me cringe immediately, but she was distracting him. I knew her plan, seduce him so that his focus would be not killing me but for impressing her.

  "Oh, I have this down." I whispered getting ready and tightening my hands around the staff.

  It was moments for awhile has the egghead on the other side of me was practicing with his sword and playing like it was fencing. Shits tough, I ain't gonna let his dumbass even think about victory.

  "Hey! How's your father? I heard he had a real good one... And your side-chick girlfriend. I'll cut this short for you and tell you how this will end. I fuck you up and put your head on a spike outside the walls, and I get my reward in fucking the new royal. Aye, so why don't you make yourself have an easy quick death." He said and I chose to not look at him. I tightened my hands against the circular stick.
