She pulled out her phone and showed Octavia Fahad’s Instagram.

“He’s fine and all, but I am still worried about your fucking safety, bitch! You don’t know this man Jholee.”

Jholee explained to her how she’d set it up and told her that they had been talking for a little over a month.

  “A month, Jholee!”

“Stop shouting! Listen, it’s only for three days. He’s sending me a jet and everything.”

“Jholee, that nigga about to kidnap you and make you his personal sex sl—”

“You’ve been watching way too much TV, Octavia.”

“The only reason why he sent a private jet is because there would be no record of you flying with a regular airline there. You’re going to go over there and get stuck and you know this raggedy government wouldn’t be pressed to save you. Jholee, I don’t know about this,” Octavia said.

“I get it. You know I’m going to be gone and that’s all that matters, aight. I’m telling my parents that I’m going to be staying with you all weekend, aight.”

Octavia scratched her head before shaking it.

  “I don’t know, Jholee.”

“Stop saying you don’t know because this—”

In the middle of her sentence her phone started ringing and it was Major. She answered it and put it on speakerphone.

  “Look, Major—”

  “Is it true?”

  “Is what true?”

“Are you fucking my boss, Jholee?”

  “No.”

“Stop fucking lying, man. I thought you was the last good girl in Duval, but you a hoe just like the rest of these bitches around here,” Major snapped.

  “Major…”

“Nah, fuck that. You out here making me date you for the pussy, practically begging your ass for the pussy, but you letting a hoe ass nigga like TK hit it and he ain’t even got to date you. You ain’t nothing but a sack chaser like the rest of these hoes.”

Jholee was quiet while he was venting on the phone about stuff that wasn’t entirely true and wasn’t entirely false either.

  “Say something!” Major shouted.

  “Okay,” Jholee responded.

“Is that all you have to fucking say is ok?”

“What else you want me to say, Major? Your mind is made up, so there is nothing else for me to say.”

“I ain’t got money or a house like TK, but I could have taken care of you, Jholee. I can’t believe you wilding like that.”

“Major, you can’t make me feel guilty about something I already told you wasn’t true. So, if you want to leave me alone, then do it. If you don’t, then don’t. I don’t have time to be arguing with you right now,” Jholee snapped back and hung up the phone as soon as Octavia was pulling up to her house.

“Jholee, I’m just letting you know that I am one thousand percent not okay with this, but nothing I say matters to you right now. I promise you if something happens to you over there, I’m only going to be sympathetic for an hour before I unleash on your ass,” Octavia said.

“And I give you full permission to do so,” Jholee said before opening the car door and getting out.

When Jholee walked in her room, her father was sitting at her desk waiting for her. They hadn’t really talked since she blew up at him the other week. She couldn’t lie, she missed him and their conversations. Ever since the blow up, they weren’t in the room with each other longer than fifteen seconds. If Jholee went to the kitchen to eat or grab a plate of food, he would leave out. Yes, he was acting like a child, but that was how Joe-Lee acted sometimes.

“Baby girl,” Joe-Lee said to her.

Quick and curtly, Jholee responded, “Dad.”

Joe-Lee stood and waved his hand, offering his daughter a seat. He leaned against the table and stared at her for a moment. She looked exactly like him. He couldn’t deny Jholee even if he wanted to.

  “I saw Sabrina today…” Joe-Lee paused.

Joe-Lee and Lonetta had been out grocery shopping where they ran into Sabrina, and she expressed just how much she didn’t like that their young ass daughter was going after her son when he had a woman. Before Netta could grab her by her throat, Joe-Lee agreed and told her that he would talk to Jholee about TK.

“Dad, there is nothing with TK and I. You, nor Sabrina, don’t have to worry about it again,” Jholee responded, but he couldn’t read his daughter this time to see if she was lying.

  “What?”

“You heard what I said. There is nothing with us. I promise,” Jholee said and raised her right hand to God.

“Oh, good. How about we grab a movie tonight and have a movie night?”

“I can’t. I’m staying with Octavia this weekend.”

“Oh. Well maybe next weekend,” Joe-Lee said before leaning over to kiss his namesake on the forehead.

Joe-Lee headed for the door and as soon as his hand touched the knob, Jholee called his name. He turned around and raised his head in response.

“Dad, I love you. Thank you for being my first love,” Jholee said and smiled.

“Always, sweetheart. You better not have a second anytime soon.”

  “I won’t. Promise.”

Jholee watched her dad walk out of her room. She had nothing else to do but wait until nine, which was what time she had to be at the jet strip. Luckily, she was able to squeeze in a wax two days ago. Her phone buzzed against her desk and she picked it up; it was from Fahad.

JISAF: Beautiful, this will be my last message until I see you. Flight is a little long, so make sure you bring some books or something to keep you company. By the way, don’t bring any clothes. (You won’t need them anyway. *wink emoji*) I’m going to provide you with a whole new wardrobe while you’re here. Really can’t wait to see you. Safe travels.

  Fahad.

Jholee couldn’t help but to smile.

Jholee had gotten out of her Uber at the air strip where Fahad’s jet was waiting for her. As long as she’d lived in Jacksonville, she didn’t know that they had a special place where private jets could land. Jholee walked nervously over to the jet where a man was waiting for her.

“Ms. Marshall, I will be your pilot today. My name is Johan Amil,” he introduced himself to her while helping her up the stairs.

Jholee was amazed by what she saw on the jet. It was big enough for at least ten people, but she had the whole thing to herself. The door slid open and a beautiful woman in a nice blue suit came out.

“Hi, Ms. Marshall, my name is Yvonee Amil, and I’ll be your flight attendant. Anything you need, don’t hesitate to let me know.”

Jholee nodded her head and took her seat. After strapping herself in, Yvonee brought her a blanket. Twenty minutes later, they were taxiing down the runway. Jholee couldn’t believe that she was doing this.

During the plane ride, when Jholee wasn’t sleep, she was reading, and when she wasn’t reading, she was worrying about what she was getting herself into. When the pilot told her to buckle up because the jet was getting ready to land, her heart was starting to beat faster than normal. She looked out the window and the sight of Dubai literally blew her mind. She couldn’t believe that there was a place this big and beautiful. She’d Googled this place many times, but the pictures just didn’t compare to actually seeing it. The jet landed with a big thump, bringing her back to reality.

“Ms. Marshall, it’s been such a pleasure to service you today. Please enjoy your stay,” Mrs. Amil said and smiled at her as she was getting ready to walk off the jet.

As soon as she walked off the jet, the Dubai air hit her right in her face. It felt amazing and she couldn’t wait to indulge in the sun. As soon as she got off the jet, she spotted two men in black tailored suits and one of them was holding a tablet with MARSHALL on it. They were standing next to a black helicopter.

“Hi, I’m Marshall,” Jholee said and smiled.

“Right this way,” the man said, and helped her onto the helicopter.

Wow, Fahad really went all out for me, Jholee thought to herself.

Jholee’s stomach sank into her back when it lifted into the air. She was lucky that the ride was only twenty minutes before they landed on top of a tall ass hotel.

“Welcome to the Burj Al Arab, Ms. Marshall. Here is your key to your room. The number is written on the card,” the man said after he helped her off the helicopter.

The men walked her to the elevator and got in with her. She went down to the twenty-fifth floor and got off, but the men stayed on. While her heart beat faster, her legs moved slower. She swallowed the lump in her throat as soon as she made it to the door. She waved the key over the lock and the door unlocked. The first thing she noticed was the smell, and it smelled of fresh flowers and fruit. Everything in the room was so beautiful. If Jholee had to picture rooms in heaven, this was what it would look like. Everything was gold and there were even gold stairs in the suite. This Royal Suite was damn near bigger than half her house. She walked farther and saw a group of men standing around in the living area, half naked. She looked from face to face and saw that neither one of the men were Fahad. She felt as if she had been betrayed. Her heart started to clench as if she was getting ready to have a panic attack. She pulled out her phone to message Fahad, but the page had been deleted. Tears burned the rims of her eyes because she knew that she was about to get gang raped, but if neither one of these men were Fahad, how was she going to get paid for it?

“It’s party time, beautiful,” one of the men said, and the whole group started walking towards Jholee.
