The Battle of Nerthus, page 6
part #2 of Primal Future Series
"Great!" Harry said with relief. "Thanks, Jazz."

Lillith woke up spreadeagle on her back. She felt pain everywhere, and couldn't see through the layer of mud on her face.
"Ughhh," she moaned, "Raven… Taylor… Morrigan…"
She rose to her knees and began to wipe the mud off her face. As soon as she was able to see, her first glimpse was of Raven.
"Raven, wake up," she said as she crawled towards her, "Raven!"
A tremendous smashing sound filled the air, followed by a long metallic screech. The alien at the top of the hill had just broken through the wreckage, and she heard it howl into the dark, rainy sky.
"Raven!" Lillith began shaking her frantically. "Please wake up!"
"Whaaa?" Raven slowly opened her eyes.
"Raven! The Nerthlings! They're here! We need to get the fuck out of here!" Lillith shouted hysterically.
"Whoa, slow down, Lillith." Raven groaned as she sat up and held her head.
"No time, Raven! We need to leave right now!"
Raven squinted. "Lillith, are you naked?'
Suddenly, the Nerthling up on the hill got down on all six limbs and began creeping its way down the hill toward them.
"Fuck! Get up!" Lillith yelled as she started pulling at Raven.
"Oh shit, that's not good," Raven said weakly.
The two of them somehow got to their feet and started hobbling away. Before they could take more than a few steps, the wounded Nerthling on the ground grabbed Lillith's ankle.
"No!" she screamed, "Raven, help!"
Raven pulled Lillith's arms toward her, but the Nerthling held its firm grip. The two of them screamed as the other Nerthling reached the bottom of the hill. It stood on its hind legs and raised all four of its arms with clenched fists. The two women looked up at the standing Nerthling with complete despair. Before they could react, it began furiously beating down upon the Nerthling on the ground. The relentless blows caused the victim to let go of Lillith's leg as it shrieked in agony. The two young women began running away from the chaos as fast as two badly injured people possibly could, but it wasn't long before they encountered yet another Nerthling. It was bent over on all six limbs, drinking out of a puddle, and didn't notice them. They slowly tiptoed away in another direction, and as soon as they were a safe distance away, started running again. They had completely lost their sense of direction by then though, and were running aimlessly.
Without warning, the two women were simultaneously clotheslined by one massive arm. They both found themselves staring up at the sky, coughing. Their chests burned where they had been struck. Through rainwater and tears, they could barely see the Nerthling's menacing head glaring down at them from above. The Nerthling crouched and began fondling both women, with two hands on each. Raven tried to scream for help, but the blow to her chest had completely taken her breath away, and all that came out was a whisper.
After much deliberation, the Nerthling left Lillith alone and focused on Raven. It pinned her hands to ground with its top set of arms and gripped her waist with its lower set. It began slowly thrusting its ovipositor against her crotch. She could feel the phallic appendage stiffen. She tried yelling for help again, but only a faint whisper emerged.
"Ugh," Lillith coughed painfully as she turned onto her belly. "Motherfucker."
She got onto all fours and started crawling away as the Nerthling began to get agitated with Raven's tight-fitted pants. It just couldn't figure out her anatomy. Suddenly, the Nerthling stopped and turned its ugly bugeye to Lillith's naked rear as she crawled away.
"I'm not gonna fucking die like this," Lillith cried as she crawled, "not like this."
Before she could get any farther, she felt two massive hands grip her hips. Her heart dropped as she felt the alien straddle her.
"Noooo!" she screamed wretchedly.

Harry drove one of the Ho-Ros while Jazz followed him in the second. They couldn't go full throttle because of the heavy rain, so they proceeded at a slow and steady pace.
"Stay on my tail, but not too close," Harry said over the radio., "Jesus, this rain is insane."
"Yes sir," Jazz responded. "I got you, Cap!"
"I knew it, shit!" Harry exclaimed, disgusted. "We've got Nerthlings ahead."
Harry could barely make out a few dark shadows lurking around the flat terrain through the sheets of rain.
"Just keep on my tail, Jazz," he ordered, "I'm gonna zip through quickly to avoid them."
"Aye aye."
Harry stepped on it and darted between two of them, then swerved around a third.
"They're everywhere," he grunted.
"Good thing they aren't aggressive, sir."
"Yeah, well, let's not stick around and test that theory," Harry replied.
"Word."

Colonel Barnes woke up face-down in the mud. He coughed and spat out a mouthful of the thick, brown muck. Something was striking him violently from behind.
"What the —"
He looked back and saw a Nerthling latched onto his waist while repeatedly thrusting into his rear. The Nerthling couldn't get through his uniform trousers, and couldn't figure out how to remove them. It just kept pushing harder, hoping to burst through. Barnes could hardly see straight as the Nerthling continued to jerk him back and forth.
"Fuck!" he yelled.
The thrusts grew more and more painful. Barnes could only imagine how bad it would feel if the alien got through the envirosuit. He caught a glimpse of his rifle, but it was out of reach. He desperately tried to sprawl out for it, but didn't get far. The scrambling only pissed the Nerthling off; it raised one clenched fist and belted him hard between the shoulder blades. Barnes cried as his body went limp, then moaned.
"Fuuuuck…"
The Nerthling released Barnes, but he was completely disabled from the blow to the spine. Barnes could see the aggressor's feet casually walk from his backside to his front. Suddenly Barnes was lifted off the ground by the collar.
"Goddammit!" he yelled as searing pain surged through his back.
He closed his eyes and screamed for mercy, but the screams were silenced quickly as the Nerthling shoved its erect ovipositor into Barnes mouth and down his throat. Barnes gagged and fought to breathe as the Nerthling began thrusting. He tried to bite, but the appendage was too robust. It would be a slow and painful drowning as the Nerthling's emissions began gushing out.
The slime oozed out of Barnes' nostrils and sides of his mouth, but most of it went directly down his throat. He jolted and twitched as he inhaled the jelly.
As the Nerthling climaxed into Barnes' face, Vixen jumped out of the darkness and onto its back. She applied a firm chokehold around its neck and wrapped her legs around its chest between its top and bottom sets of arms. The alien immediately let go of Barnes' lifeless body, and tried to loosen her chokehold with its upper arms and her legs with its bottom arms. As soon as it unlatched her legs from around his torso, it violently flung her body up and over its head. This unusual maneuver caught Vixen off-guard, as she lost her grip and flew nearly twenty feet before slamming down hard onto her back.
With a loud grunt, she rolled to her feet and spun around, only to see the Nerthling charging full speed at her on all six limbs. She instinctively used its face as steppingstone to jump over its charging body. The Nerthling squealed when she dug her boot into its eye; then, like a ninja, she landed on both feet and turned back around to face it again in a fighting stance. The Nerthling stood up on two feet, and decided to approach her with more caution this time around. When it did, it swung a big haymaker with both of its right arms. Vixen ducked under the top arm, but the bottom one walloped her hard in the midsection and sent her flying. She landed nearly ten feet away and then slid through the mud for another ten. The last blow must have done some damage to her circuits, as her vision began to glitch, but she got up and assumed a fighting stance once more.
The Nerthling charged, and swung the same double right hook. This time, she went all the way down, doing the splits and avoided the large fists. As soon as she hit the ground, she gave the Nerthling's ovipositor sack a powerful left and right. The trauma sent the alien to its knees as it let out a pitiful shriek. Vixen immediately popped up and grabbed the Nerthling by the back of the head before she sent several flying knees into its face. It hissed and squealed in agony as purple blood and other bodily fluids splattered out of its now severely damaged eye. The punishment seemed to disable the alien, so she immediately ran to Barnes. The alien slowly tipped forward and then splatted face down into the mud. It lay twitching while the purple liquids and gels began to form a puddle around its head.
"Barnes, are you okay?" Vixen asked.
She felt for a pulse and then began administering CPR.
"Stay with me, colonel."

Back at the caves, Lillith kicked and screamed as the Nerthling caught her from behind. She could feel a warm ooze coat her openings.
"Raven!" she screamed.
Raven tried to fight the spinning in her head and the burning in her chest as she slowly sat up.
"Hey!" Raven shouted, but the creature paid no attention.
She finally got to her feet, but her knees were shaky.
"Hey, asshole!" she yelled and started punching the side of the Nerthling's head.
It hissed and backhanded her swiftly with one of its free hands. Raven flew backwards and onto her back, and this time she wasn't getting up.
Lillith's last shred of hope was gone. She braced herself as the Nerthling pushed itself inside of her. It was surprisingly gentle in the beginning, as the ooze made an excellent lubricant. Still, she shuddered as the lewd creature violated her. The Nerthling rocked her slowly to start off, almost as a human would.
"You wanna kill me? Just do it already!" she yelled as it began to thump her a little faster.
She began to feel symptoms of paralysis as the Nerthling pumped faster.
"What the… what did you…" she trailed off as her body began to go limp.
Her mind clouded and her vision blurred. She could hear the fading sounds of the Nerthling's roaring and the clapping of her buttocks against its pelvic area. Finally, everything went black, and she was completely out.
#
Vixen began delivering firm compressions to Barnes' chest. With each pump, his body jolted, and green ooze exploded out of his mouth and onto her face.
"What did it do to you, Barnes?" she asked as she wiped the slime from of her rosy cheeks and brow.
She continued with the compressions, and the ooze kept coming. When no more ooze came out, she breathed into him and then continued the compressions. After a while, he coughed and opened his eyes, but a glazed look in his eyes suggested he still wasn't quite there. Vixen could tell he was now breathing, but under paralysis. She picked him up and slung him over her shoulder.
"Come on Barnes, let's find the others," she said as she headed north towards the caves.
#
Raven woke up in agony, staring up at the rain.
"God, my head," she muttered, and tried to sit up.
Her vision was blurred, but she didn't sense any Nerthlings close by.
"Lillith?" she groaned as she noticed the young woman's figure near her in a sort of yoga child's pose.
The Nerthling must have gotten what it wanted, because it was nowhere to be seen. All that was left was its victim, laid facedown, ass-up, with green ooze spilling out her rear. Raven tried not to look as she crawled towards Lillith.
"Lillith? Can you hear me?" she asked as she gently rolled Lillith's limp body over and onto her back.
"Oh my God!" Raven gasped and fell backward as she saw that Lillith's eyes were wide open.
The young woman looked dead, and Raven panicked for a second at the thought of losing her comrade. She took a deep breath and gathered herself before she could tend to Lillith.

Harry and Jazz continued to coast through the heavy rainfall, weaving around roaming Nerthlings. They saw smoke on the horizon and slowed their pace as they approached.
"What is it, Captain?" asked Jazz.
"I don't know, but it can't be good."
The two Ho-Ros moved to a side-by-side formation as they approached the wreckage.
"Is that the hover bike?" Jazz asked.
"Shit, Barnes!" Harry remarked as they slowed to a stop next to the destroyed vehicle. "Search for him, quickly!"
The two men got out of the Ho-Ros and began jogging around the vicinity of the bike. Harry was on the verge of losing his cool as he frantically searched for the only member of his crew with any military training.
"Where is he?" he shouted.
"Holy shit!" Jazz yelled from a position farther up from the wreckage, "Captain, you gotta see this!"
Harry quickly darted towards Jazz's voice. Jazz was looking down on an injured Nerthling crawling through the mud.
"It looks hurt," said Jazz.
"Vix," Harry said as he watched the alien struggle.
"She kick his ass?"
"It's possible," Harry replied as he pointed to boot prints in the mud. "Looks like she ran into this poor son-of-a-bitch and then continued north to the caves."
"Then we keep headin' north?"
"Affirmative. Let's just hope Barnes is with her. Quickly, before the bastard's friends arrive."
Harry ran to his Ho-Ro and opened its gull-wing door on the driver's side.
"Wait!" said Jazz as he picked up something off the ground. "Look!"
Harry looked back to Jazz, who was holding Barnes' rifle.
"We need to go, now!" he ordered.
"Yes sir," Jazz said as he wiped the mud off the gun.
"Do you know how to use that thing?"
"I think I can manage," said Jazz, as he powered it up like a pro.
"Okay, take it with you and follow me."
"Captain, duck!" Jazz said as he pointed the blaster directly at Harry.
Harry dropped straight to the ground and onto his belly in an instinctive panic. Jazz fired a pair of blasts into a sly Nerthling behind Harry. It hissed in agony as Jazz lit it up. Soon the alien was on the ground, twitching in a puddle of its purple blood.
"Jesus Christ, Jazz, where'd you learn to shoot like that?" Harry asked as he got up and brushed the mud off his suit.
"The Bronx," Jazz said with a laugh, as he admired the rifle.
Before they could share a moment of relief, the injured Nerthling they'd seen earlier crawled its way to Jazz and latched on to his ankle from behind.
"Jazz!"
"What the —?" Jazz turned and fired several shots into the Nerthling's face. "Die, you creepy asshole!"
The Nerthling's purple blood splattered both men; Jazz was nearly painted with it. After the alien stopped moving, Jazz gave it a few more blasts for good measure.
"I think he's dead now," Jazz concluded as he kicked off the Nerthling's grip on his ankle.
"Good work, Jazz. Now take the rifle and follow me, no time to waste!"
"Yes sir!" said Jazz, as the two men bolted for their vehicles.

Raven was able to confirm that Lillith had a pulse and was breathing, so she didn't administer CPR. Instead, she tried slapping her face a few times.
"Lillith, wake up!" she cried, but it didn't seem to help.
Raven was still badly hurt and didn't even know if she could get up. The feeling of despair began to set in, deep in her gut.
"Taylor! Morrigan!" she shouted. "Where are you?!"
All she could hear was the constant pouring of the relentless rainfall.
"Someone help us!" she screamed again.
Finally, as if her prayers had been answered, Raven heard a faint call in the distance.
"Raven! Where are you?!"
"Over here!" she replied, "we're here!"
The voice got closer, and she eventually recognized that it was Taylor. The young man jogged gingerly while holding his head with one hand. His black-framed spectacles were cracked over one eye, but he kept them on for the one good lens.
"You're alive, thank God!" he said, and then looked at Lillith, "and Lillith too."
Taylor was still a bit woozy from his fall, and it took him a few moments to realize that Lillith was in a bad way.
"Shit!" he said, and immediately took off his shirt to cover her exposed lower half. "What happened?"
"I think a Nerthling injected her," Raven cried. "I tried to stop it."
"I'm sorry I couldn't help," he said as he crouched down with her next to Lillith. "I don't remember anything, except for controlling the RC drone."
"Taylor," Raven said with a look of despair.
"What?"
"Taylor!" Raven cried as her eyes fixed on something behind him.
Taylor slowly turned and saw dark, shiny legs nearly the size of tree trunks. He slowly peered up to its even thicker thighs and the large sack hanging between them, sculpted abs, and broad chest. The hideous glowing eye seemed to pierce his very soul as it glared down upon him.
"Rah… Raven," he shuddered, completely frozen, "Ruh… ruh… ruh…"
He watched as its ovipositor went from practically non-existent to a large, erect purple zucchini.
"Run!" he finally yelled.
Raven sprung to her feet and began to run as the large alien seized Taylor with all four of its three-digit hands. Taylor screeched as the powerful hands latched onto him.
Raven heard Taylor's screams, and immediately felt guilty for leaving him. She stopped in her tracks and contemplated attempting to help. The creatures had already beaten her nearly to a pulp though, and she knew she stood no chance against even one. Then she spied a rock about the size of a grapefruit, next to her foot. Taylor's screams grew louder as the Nerthling pried at young man's shirtless body. It held Taylor up by the neck with its top set of arms in a chokehold while it tried to tear away his pants with its bottom set. Raven picked up the rock and snuck up behind Taylor, then circled around the Nerthling's side to get a clearer shot. The alien didn't sense her as it finally figured out Taylor's pants and pulled them down to his ankles. Raven acted fast, heaving the large rock at the alien's head. The Nerthling hissed as the direct hit thudded into its temple. The impact was just enough to cause it to drop Taylor.
