I took her hand, and for some reason, felt myself raise it to my mouth. I planted a small kiss on the palm of her hand, and she shuddered with surprise.

“We’re so glad that you’re here and safe with us,” I said.

“Yeah,” Sybil added as she rubbed her belly. “We’re so happy that you’re out of there. And even better, now we have a priestess to consult for our quests.”

For a moment, I let myself become consumed by the warm glow of the fire and the comfortable fullness from that amazing meal. I was surrounded by three absolutely gorgeous women, and I had a shit ton of moon silver waiting for me as well. It had been a pretty harrowing morning, but the luxury of living as a knight made up for the horrors that I encountered.

Our moment of peaceful reflection was interrupted to the sound of many feet stomping toward our retreat. It was probably Matilda and Miranda’s families in search of a blessing from the priestess, and though Imelda had agreed to see them, it was still disappointing to know that we were going to have to move again so soon.

“That will be the kids,” I said.

“Oh, wonderful,” Imelda replied as her eyes widened with delight. “It will feel good to perform a blessing again.”

As she stood up, I was treated to a full view of her from below. Her legs were slight but long, and her frame was willowy and pale. From my spot on the floor, she looked like a Goddess herself. She was a gorgeous woman, and even though we’d only known each other for a day, I knew that I wanted her.

“We should probably get up as well,” Tabitha said, although she didn’t move from her spot on the couch.

“Uh-huh,” Sybil agreed from the floor where she was splayed across the rug.

“Welcome, families of Sir Hank’s estate,” Imelda said.

I turned toward the door and was shocked to see a crowd of about twenty people of all ages waiting for us with rosy cheeks and eager smiles.

“Goodness gracious,” I said. “Welcome, everyone. We weren’t expecting so many people, but come in.”

“Great to see you, Sir Henry,” Matilda’s husband Coltrane said.

The man had weather-worn, ruddy skin and a bushy brown mustache. His graying hair was wild and curly, and he always seemed to have a kid or two trailing after him wherever he went. He also had an extensive knowledge of moon bean plants that he was always happy to share with anyone else on the estate.

“Likewise,” I said as I stood up. “Well, as I said, I wasn’t expecting this many people. Maybe we should head back to the foyer so there’s enough room for everyone.”

“That would be perfect,” Imelda said. “We’ll be able to stand in a circle, which will make the blessing more powerful.”

“Oh, thank you, priestess,” Coltrane replied as he started to direct people back to the entryway.

While the peasants quickly filed out of the room, I helped Sybil and Tabitha to their feet. I noticed that neither woman was moving quickly, but Sybil seemed particularly distracted.

“You alright, Sybil?” I asked the dreamy witch.

“Huh?” she asked and shook her head. “Oh, yes. I’m just remembering when I was a little kid and the town priest used to deliver a blessing on all the houses. It was always so nice to bring everyone together.”

“We had the same thing in the palace,” Tabitha said. “Even the warring families had to come together and hold hands with each other. When the priest said to form a circle, you did it without question.”

By the time we’d stumbled into the front hall, Imelda was already standing in the center of the space while the peasants shuffled around until they had formed a circle. There was more shuffling as the three of us joined the group, and I felt Sybil take my right hand and Tabitha take my left as the followers closed the circle once more.

When everyone was in place, Imelda closed her eyes and raised her hands so that her palms faced the sky. The noise faded away as everyone stilled, and the priestess took a deep breath like she needed to steady her nerves.

“Moon Goddess,” Imelda declared. “We welcome you here today to the estate of Sir Henry Baker to cleanse each drop of water and wash away the dust from every floorboard. May all of these loyal inhabitants receive the full extent of your love. May the silver light of the moon shine in our hearts for all our days, and may we feel your soft touch in times of pain.”

The energy in the room changed palpably, and it looked like Imelda was glowing with a silver-white light. When she lifted her hands, an actual silver light started to form in each hand. Then she brought her arms overhead, and the two spheres of light that had formed in each hand joined to form one glowing, translucent ball of energy.

I hadn’t known that priestesses could perform any actual magic, but it seemed like she was able to summon the powers of the Moon Goddess. I was in awe, but I wasn’t the only one. I saw more than one jaw on the floor, which was all the reminder I needed to close my own mouth. I was the lord of the estate, after all, and I didn’t want to act like I had no idea what was happening.

  “Wow,” I heard Sybil whisper.

Before I could agree, Imelda brought her hands down in one sudden swoop, and the ball of light glowed with a ferocious intensity before it dissipated in bright little sparks that tumbled around the room. Several sparks landed on me, and for a moment, it felt like my bones were fizzing like a Coke. A long chill made its way down my spine as the bubbly sensation faded, and I saw the same stunned expressions on the others’ faces.

“That was incredible,” Tabitha said as she tried to pat her hair back into place. “I don’t remember the priest at the palace ever pulling off anything like that.”

“Thank you, dear Priestess,” Matilda said, and she bowed her head and put her hands together in reverence. “Thank you for blessing our home.”

“It is my greatest pleasure to bring the power of the Moon Goddess to the good people of Lupercalia,” Imelda assured her. “And as such, I’d like to give each of you a personal blessing.”

The adults looked surprised, but no one questioned Imelda’s declaration. The peasants quickly formed a line, and one by one, Imelda took their hands and whispered something to them. For each child, she also put a hand on their head and asked for an extra blessing.

Even though I hadn’t been raised in Lupercalia, I had been chosen by the Moon Goddess to protect this realm, so it seemed rude not to pay my respects to both the Goddess and her priestess, especially after the display I’d just witnessed. So I joined the line behind a particularly gangly twelve-year-old girl, and Tabitha and Sybil followed.

Imelda said a blessing over the twiggy-looking girl before turning her attention to me. She looked so serene and so wildly beautiful in her element. The priestess grasped both of my hands in hers before bringing them to her mouth to kiss.

Her lips were so incredibly soft and warm that I felt like my entire body was melting under her touch. She looked up at me for a moment, and her glance reminded me of a sweet, mischievous kitten. I knew that it was wrong to want to take a priestess when she was giving a blessing, but I couldn’t help it. She was so fucking hot, and it’s not like I’d seen her do that for anyone else.

“May the Goddess bring you peace,” she murmured as she released my hands. “And may you have her eternal protection in your fight to save Lupercalia.”

She bit her lip with her vampire canine as if she was debating whether to ask for anything else. The sharp, white tooth scraped against her plump soft lips without piercing them, and for a moment, I was transfixed.

“My turn,” Sybil whispered in my ear and nudged me in the ribs.

I shook my head and then stepped back so the priestess would move on. I had to keep my hands clasped in front of me so that none of my devout peasants would see that I had a boner from receiving a blessing. Luckily, all of the families seemed quite preoccupied with telling their children that even though the priestess was here, they did in fact still have to go to bed after the blessing was finished.

“But mama, I’m hungry,” one of the little girls who couldn’t have been older than seven said.

“No, you’re not,” another short little boy replied. “You just ate three butter biscuits before this.”

“Rat,” the girl hissed, and she stuck out her tongue at the boy.

The pair had to be brother and sister. That level of betrayal for the sheer sake of it could only exist in siblings who were close in age. I knew this for a fact from growing up with Ava.

“Now, you two, it’s time to get to bed,” Matilda said, and she raised her eyebrows at the two kids, who ran over to join Coltrane. “Sir Henry, thank you for indulging us in this. It has been a most spectacular evening.”

“No, thank you, Matilda,” I said. “And by the way, that soup was absolutely incredible.”

“Oh, yes, Miranda is clearing it up now,” she added hurriedly. “But we’re most glad you enjoyed it. There is a great deal more cheese in the larder. And butter. And buttermilk…”

“Goodnight, Hank,” Coltrane cut in as he started to guide his wife toward the door. “We’ll see you in the morning.”

Matilda nodded in agreement, and then the entryway was filled with noise again as the various families began to slowly head back into the cold. Amid the shouts and laughs, I waved and said good night over and over again until I thought my hand would fall off.

But the crowd finally left, and the only peasant left was Miranda, who scurried out of the sitting room with the trays of empty bowls and mugs and headed back into the kitchen with only a curtsy.

“That was amazing, Imelda,” Sybil said, and she took the ex-vampire’s hands in hers. “I haven’t experienced something like that since I was a young child. I could really feel a presence here.”

“Well, it’s not only me,” the priestess replied. “You have no idea what an honor it is to be in the presence of someone who was chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. I can feel the magic that surrounds you, Hank, and that added to my own.”

“She’s given me everything and more,” I replied. “And not only here in Lupercalia.”

“We love having you here, Imelda,” Tabitha said as she took the priestess’ other hand. “You’ve already brought so much into our lives.”

“And we hope we’ve done the same for you,” Sybil added.

It was like Imelda was the brand-new toy that everyone couldn’t wait to get their hands on. Or at least, I knew I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her.

As the priestess looked up at me, her blue eyes burned into the back of my skull. I could feel the desire practically emanating from her, and my cock swelled in my pants.

“You know,” she said. “My family was very devout. My father had four wives. The Moon Goddess blessed him with four beautiful women, all of whom I called my mother. The purest love I know is between a group of people.”

I saw Sybil squeeze Imelda’s hands, and I knew what she was implying. Man, I loved Lupercalia. I’d never imagined that I could have so many beautiful women in my life before, all at the same time. And best of all, I didn’t have to deal with petty jealousies or angry women who couldn’t share me. My three lovely ladies all believed that it was better to share the love than lock it away.

“Do you want to come upstairs?” I asked. “It’s been such a long day, and you must be so--”

“Yes,” Imelda replied quickly, and the corner of her mouth raised into a smirk that revealed her vampire canine. “Yes, I would like that very much.”

  Chapter 8

Imelda giggled, and her face turned a bright pink, which made her look like a flower. Everything she did made her look beautiful, and I understood why she’d been turned into a vampire instead of killed outright.

When I scooped the priestess into my arms, she screeched and giggled, just like a teenage girl.

“Quick,” Tabitha laughed. “Before Miranda figures out what’s going on.”

“Nonsense,” I said as I started to carry my white-clad priestess up the stairs. “It’s my house, isn’t it?”

“But she is a priestess,” Tabitha replied.

“They’re not celibate,” Sybil said and rolled her eyes.

I looked down into Imelda’s eyes, which were fixed completely on me. Her pupils were wide, and her mouth parted slightly to allow a sigh to escape from her lips. I could see the tips of her vampire teeth underneath her lips, and for some reason, it made my cock throb harder than ever. I knew vampires were the enemy, but something about her sharp teeth turned me on. Besides, she wasn’t a vampire anymore.

“I’ve wanted you since I saw you,” she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck. “You’re the one that saved me.”

“Me and the Moon Goddess,” I said to her.

“But it couldn’t have happened without you,” she whispered. “I wouldn’t be here without you. I would still be a cold, lifeless husk that only wanted blood. I wouldn’t be able to indulge in all the pleasures of human life.”

“I want to indulge you,” I growled. “I want to give you every pleasure that you can imagine.”

“Yes,” she whispered and stared up at me with a kind of hunger that I had never seen on the face of a woman. “And I want you, Hank.”

I started to run up the stairs, and I could hear Sybil and Tabitha giggling behind us as the pair followed at a more leisurely pace. I didn’t even look back once I made it to the landing. I headed straight for my bedroom and nudged the door open with my foot.

A brief glance confirmed that the servants had put everything back in place and cleaned up the mess I’d left behind that morning. But I honestly didn’t care about any of that at the moment.

All I could think about was taking Imelda for the first time.

I heard Tabitha and Sybil’s footsteps behind me and then the door clicking shut as I carried Imelda to the bed and placed her softly on the cover. I stood over her for a moment as I drank in the sight of her, and I had to groan as I soaked in her beauty.

She grinned a mischievous grin at me, which exposed her vampiric canine teeth. In a slow, languid motion, she sat up and crouched on her knees, which somehow made her look like an innocent virgin.

I could feel my cock swelling in my pants and could barely hold myself back from pinning her down and making her moan.

“You want to know something?” Imelda asked and fluttered her white-blonde eyelashes.

“I want to know everything you have to tell me,” I said.

“Well,” Imelda drawled. “When I was blessing all of the peasants from your estate I was trying as hard as I could to hide my teeth. I didn’t want to scare anyone.”

“That’s wise,” Tabitha said, and I felt her soft arm snake around my waist. “But they never would’ve said anything even if they did see your teeth. They know that Hank was chosen by the Moon Goddess, and they know you wouldn’t be here without her blessing.”

“I kind of like still having fangs,” Imelda said, and her blue eyes twinkled with mischief. “It’s never happened before to the best of my knowledge. You know, that someone becomes a human again after being a vampire. But the Moon Goddess works in mysterious ways. As well as a handsome knight that seems to be able to do anything.”

She held out her hand and took the neck of my suede shirt. Then, she used her impressive vampire strength to pull me on top of her with one slight movement of her arm.

“Do you like that?” the priestess asked. “I’m stronger than any woman.”

I took her right wrist and pinned her to the bed.

She smiled devilishly, and I could feel her hips graze my cock as she wriggled back and forth under me. Despite her vampire strength, she still couldn’t free herself from my grip.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” I said, and I took the opportunity to kiss her on the lips.

As I ran my tongue across her soft, pillowy lips, I started to slowly pump my cock back and forth over her hips. Even though we were both still fully clothed, she moaned into my mouth at the friction between us.

“Mmmm,” she exhaled, and she parted her lips slightly to meet my tongue with hers.

I delicately licked her bottom lip, and then I traced over the edge of her sharp vampire teeth with my tongue. The idea that she could bite down on me if she chose drove me absolutely wild.

“You two are so hot,” I heard Tabitha say from the other side of the bed. “I love watching you with a new girl, Hank.”

“Me, too,” Sybil added with a sigh. “She’s so beautiful.”

I drug my hand from Imelda’s wrist all the way down her arm to her waist. She shuddered under my touch, but I kept moving down until I started to hike up her long skirts.

“Oh, Hank,” she breathed. “I… I’m so sensitive to your touch. I haven’t been touched like this in…”

“Sshhh,” I said, and I continued to pull up the skirts of her dress.

I grabbed the back of her head with my left hand and took a fistful of her long white braids. Then, I pulled them back so that her dainty white neck was exposed to just me. Her skin was so soft.

“Hank,” she moaned. “Oh, Goddess, this feels so good.”

“I’m not even doing anything yet,” I said in a low, gentle voice. “All I’m doing is holding you in place.”

Every subtle movement of mine seemed to send her to the edge. I loved having sex with Sybil and Tabitha, but this was completely different. Imelda didn’t even remember what it was like to be human before today, and now she was at the pinnacle of human pleasure.

“Do you like that?” I asked, and she tried to nod in response.

“Yes, yes,” she moaned. “Yes, I want you to kiss me again.”

I laughed and licked her earlobe, which made her shiver under me. Then I started to slowly make my way down her exposed neck to her collarbone. I kissed every exposed inch of her without removing anything before lifting her skirts and making my way down to her legs.

“I want to taste you,” I said to the porcelain beauty who was squirming underneath me.
