Cue for Murder
Odelia Poole, Hampton Cove’s premier reporter and amateur sleuth, has been tapped to play the lead in this summer’s production of Bard in the Park. But when her understudy is found murdered, she is forced to take off her acting cap and put her detective’s cap back on. Meanwhile, Odelia’s cats face some trouble of their own when Brutus is caught in flagrante delicto with one of cat choir’s more frivolous redheads. Harriet is not happy, and suddenly the ‘Fab Four’ are no more. And when Gran uncovers a plot to target her family, life in the small town suddenly turns very dicey indeed. **

Purrfect Betrayal

When the ex-wife of notorious Hollywood bad boy actor Jeb Pott is found murdered, the case looks pretty straightforward: the two had just gone through an acrimonious divorce, she was found murdered in his lodge, the actor covered in her blood, the knife next to him on the bed. But a few loose ends bother Odelia more than they should, and when Jeb's daughter asks her to exonerate her father, Odelia decides to take on the case and prove the impossible.Aiding and abetting her are her vlogging grandmother, who has a personal score to settle, and Odelia's extensive cat menagerie. Max and his friends are a little distracted, though, by the three kittens someone has decided to leave on Odelia's doorstep. It's not that Max hates kittens--but if he's totally honest he doesn't like them all that much either. Will the kittens win over Max's heart? Did A-list actor Jeb really kill his ex-wife? And are the 'vitamins' Grandma Muffin keeps popping really as innocent as she claims them to be? Find out in Purrfect Betrayal, a cat cozy mystery unlike any other. Come for the mystery, stay for the humor, the warmth, and the feels. Oh, and the kittens, of course.

Purrfect Trap

Life had been going swimmingly, as life usually does in Hampton Cove, when suddenly disaster struck. Odelia had scheduled a surprise visit to Vena Aleman. Vena is our local vet, and a master at inflicting pain and suffering. And as it happens she was about to have a field day, for I’d been troubled by a toothache, and this fact had not escaped Vena.So when those awful abductions happened I should have seen them coming, but I was still under the influence of my pain meds. Is it any wonder, then, that Dooley and I were captured by those awful catnappers? I blame Vena, to be honest, though of course that fiendish woman would deny all responsibility, and blame everything on the bad guys.Add to that Grandma Muffin stomping at the bit to pick a fight with Tex, Odelia chasing the story of a lifetime when the local sausage store ran out of sausages, and you can see why I felt compelled to share these harrowing events with you, dear reader. Will there be a happy ending, you ask? Well, that would be telling, wouldn’t it, and I may be a lot of things but I’m not a tattletale. **

Purrfectly Hidden

You know that feeling when you suddenly find a skeleton in your basement? You don't? Well, I'm sorry to say that I do. And let me tell you, it's not as enjoyable as it sounds. So when it happened to Marge, it's safe to say she wasn't thrilled. Add to that the mouse issue we'd been faced with, and my day was fraught with a measure of discomfort.Odelia immediately did what she does best: figuring out whoever had put that skeleton in her mother's basement, while my fellow cats and I focused on what we do best: catching mice. Or actually we didn't. You see, we might be cats, but we're also felinists at heart, in the sense that we strongly feel every creature on God's green earth has a right to live and thrive. Or at least that was our position before we met that mouse face to face. Suffice it to say he wasn't a felinist, and things quickly got out of paw.But don't let that stop you from picking up this story. You'll learn such fascinating things as the right way to interrogate an old macaw, whether cats do or do not need to brush their teeth, how to protect yourself in case you happen to be hit by a nuke and, almost as an afterthought, who the heck put that darn skeleton in Marge's basement. In other words, just another day in the otherwise uneventful life of a big-boned blorange feline sleuth and his friends.
