Jamie, page 7
Jamie grinned at him, nodded. “Thanks.”
He gave everyone the two sandwiches he’d ordered with them in mind. “You wanna share?”
“I’m open to that.” Bran looked at what he’d ordered for his silver-haired lover. “Oh, these are good choices, thanks, babe.”
“Of course.”
“I’m happy to share,” Jamie offered. “I’m easy.”
Of course he was.
“They’re conveniently already cut in half, too,” Bran noted.
“They are?” He looked at his. “Oh! I got the twelve-inch ones instead of the six-inch ones. Ooops.” Good thing they were all hungry. And of course, his plan of leftovers for when they got hungry later in the evening still worked. “They’ll be great for later. We’ll all share.”
“I’ll have to go home soon, do some writing, clean my clothes for work.”
“Oh.” He didn’t know why he felt so disappointed, he’d known Jamie wouldn’t be staying forever. Not yet, anyway.
“Why don’t you go get your clothing and your writing and come back here,” Bran suggested. “We’ll throw your work clothes in the washer, and you can get set up for the writing. That way we all get to spend a night together.”
His lover was so smart.
“We can even drive you over. That way you don’t have to walk with your laptop,” he offered.
“You don’t mind?” Oh, perfect.
“Wouldn’t have offered if we did. We can do it after we’ve eaten.” And before they got distracted by all this lovely nakedness and decided to go for more orgasms before they got Jamie back here for the evening and night.
Then they’d learn what Jamie’s schedule was and help him get back to work.
For now, they’d eat their very late lunch.
CHAPTER SIX
Bran grabbed the car keys and knocked on the studio door. “Are you coming with me?”
Silas turned from his desk and blinked a couple times. “Where are we going?”
“To pick Jamie up from work and bring him home.”
“Is it already eight?” Silas put his pencil down and smoothed a hand through his hair.
“Almost. And you look fine. A little rumpled maybe, but it’s a pretty damned sexy rumple.”
“Flatterer.” Silas came over and wrapped his arms around Bran’s shoulders.
“Truth-teller.” Bran winked and gave his lover a kiss. “Now come on. Our boy will go to that place where he lives in the closet if we aren’t there to pick him up when he gets off shift.”
“Yeah, he will, won’t he? A closet. Can you believe that?” Silas followed him out to the car.
“I’m not surprised by it. He is a boy in need after all. Things like living in a closet come with the territory.”
He waited for Silas to plug in his seat belt and set out for the coffee shop. They made it there with minutes to spare, and there was a spot right in front of the door to pull the car into.
“It must be kismet.”
Silas chuckled. “You? Talking fate.”
“It brought me you—why wouldn’t I believe it brought him to us?”
“So logical.”
He gave Silas a wink.
Silas grinned at him. “Do you think he’s hungry?”
“I think he’s starving. Pick something up or take him out?” He was up for either.
“Oh, let’s pick something up. He’s had to deal with other people all day.”
“Good point. And there’s plenty of places down here to pick up something.” He looked at his watch, then at the door of the coffee shop. “He should be coming out any minute now.”
As soon as it was said, there was their boy, head down as he came out the door.
“He looks tired, doesn’t he?” Bran shook his head.
“Not as bad as yesterday I don’t think. I’d love to wrap him up in a couple blankets and let him sleep for an entire weekend.”
Bran rolled down the window and waved at Jamie. “Hey, Jamie. We’ve come to drive you home. Hop into the back.”
Jamie blinked over at them, eyes wide, then smiled. “Oh. Oh, wow. Hey guys. Seriously?”
One day, Jamie would take this kind of thing for granted because of course his Daddies would pick him up. “Yep. We’ll stop somewhere and pick up dinner. What do you feel like?”
“I—Um. Fast food? I have a ten on me…”
“Our treat, boy. What kind of food? Chinese? Thai? Mexican? Just name it.”
“Well, it has to be in the general area,” Silas corrected. “We’re not driving to Orleans.”
“Are you sure?” At their joint nod, Jamie smiled. “Oh, I like… How do you feel about Thai?”
“There’s that place over on Gladstone. Uh, Blue Dragon, I think? Have you tried them?” Silas looked back at Jamie. “And what’s your favorite?”
“Green curry, and I haven’t, no. I’m on a tiny tight budget.”
“Well, let’s see how they are then. We’ll grab a menu so we can order from them later if we like what we get.” Bran headed for Gladstone. “What’s the cross-street, babe?”
“Um… Kent? I think.”
“Excellent. How was work, Jamie?”
“Okay. It was work, you know? Not a passion. If I’d known you were coming, I would have made you both lattes.”
“Ooo, perks!” Silas licked his lips.
Bran laughed. “That was unintentional, wasn’t it, love?”
“Absolutely, but you can assume we’ll pick you up. That way you’re safe, taken care of.”
Bran nodded. “Silas is right. Even if you’re going back to your closet instead of to our place, we’ll drive you.”
“Although I feel like the guest room has plenty of space for you.” Silas winked back, and Jamie blushed.
“You should definitely bring more of your things over,” Bran suggested as he pulled into a parking spot a few doors down from the Blue Dragon. “I’ve been clearing the bedroom for you.”
Jamie blushed dark. “You have? But I’m—that’s—Wow.”
“We want you with us.” It was as simple as that. “Come on, let’s go get food.”
“Do I look okay? Not too dirty?” Jamie had taken off his apron.
Silas looked him up and down. “You look great. Really great.”
Jamie blushed bright pink. “I—thank you. You both look amazing too.”
Bran inclined his head. “Thank you.”
Then he held the door to the tiny restaurant open for Silas and Jamie. The place did have a pair of two-seater tables, but was clearly set up as a take-out joint. “So green curry for you, Jamie? I’m going to go for a red curry—I like things spicy. Silas will likely get a teriyaki bowl if they do them here.”
Silas nodded. “Indeed, I will. I like a little sweet with my spicy.”
“There’s something about green curry. I just love it.”
“I like a green curry, too. But if I can get something with a little more bite.” He gave Jamie a wink, teasing a little.
That earned him a grin, and he got hard at the sparkle in those pretty eyes.
He leaned against the counter to hide the tenting in his slacks and ordered their meal, adding some spring rolls, as well as three desserts for them to share out: banana roti, coconut custard, and a pandam rice cake.
Silas was holding Jamie’s hand, frowning over it, deeply.
He paid for their dinner and took the receipt with their number, then moved over to his lovers.
“What’s going on?”
“He’s got a serious burn, Bran. On his hand. Look.”
Sure enough, there was a line of blisters on their boy’s hand.
“It’s no big deal. I hit the steamer wand.”
He tsked. “Did you doctor it when it happened?” He went through their medicine cabinet in his mind. They had Solarcaine, but no second skin. There was a Shoppers Drugmart on the way home if he took Bank.
“No. It’s okay. I put a glove on…”
“Bran…” Silas frowned deeper.
“I know. We’ll stop at the drugstore and doctor it when we get home.” It didn’t look like it needed the hospital, though they could reassess that after they’d done what they could with what was available over the counter. There was no reason to panic, though their boy needed to learn to look after himself better than ‘put a glove on’ in cases like this.
“Oh, don’t bother yourselves…”
“You are worth bother, boy.” He wouldn’t have that nonsense.
Silas was nodding vigorously. “Yes. You need to take better care of yourself, and you need to let us take care of you.”
“2224,” called out the girl behind the counter, and Bran went to rescue the food.
“Okay,” he said as he got back to Silas and Jamie. “Let’s get going and get you fixed up as quickly as possible.”
“I’ll sit in the back with our boy.”
Bran nodded at Silas. That worked.
“I’m okay. I promise. I’m good.” Jamie was just not used to being taken care of. Poor boy.
“You’re okay, but you could be better and we’re going to make sure that happens.” He patted Jamie on the back and hustled them to the car. He set the food on the passenger seat in front and waited for Silas to get Jamie and himself buckled in before merging into traffic and heading for Bank Street and the drugstore.
“I’m really okay, guys. You don’t have to worry about me.” Jamie sounded so dear, so sweet. Bran’s heart was aching.
“You’ll be more okay once we’ve doctored that hand,” he insisted, knowing Silas would back him up.
Sure enough, Silas chimed in right away. “Bran is right. And it’s a five-minute detour, including the time in the store. So this is happening.” Silas leaned in, kissed their boy. “Let us take care of you. You’re not a problem.”
Bran grunted his agreement and turned onto Bank. It would be a done deal in two minutes. He pulled the car into a spot in the tiny parking lot behind the building.
“Why don’t the two of you stay here, and I’ll pop in and get the stuff we need.”
Silas beamed and waved him off, then dove in to kiss Jamie again.
He chuckled and shook his head as he went into the store and found the first aid aisle. Jamie was going to have to learn that they would be taking care of him, from small stuff to big stuff. Their boy could turn to them for anything.
He wound up picking up more than they needed and more than to just doctor burns, but he figured their first aid kit could use a refilling anyway, and soon he was walking out with a bag full of bits and pieces.
Jamie was panting, and the windows were fogged up. Someone was being naughty.
He handed the bag to Silas. “I got everything we needed for those blisters, plus some stuff to restock the first aid kit. Why don’t you doctor his hand now?” He wanted Jamie hurting as little as possible, and the Solarcaine had a numbing agent in it.
“Totally. Poor sweet hand. And you were going to type with it?”
Jamie shrugged. “I need to try, huh?”
“We should get you voice-to-type software.” That would take out the need to use his hands altogether.
“Oh, I could never do that. Never.”
“Why not?” Bran asked. He’d heard good things about them.
“I—people would hear me, and what if I wrote a sex scene. Can you imagine?” Jamie’s cheeks glowed in the streetlights.
“Mmm, are you going to be writing sex scenes?” Bran asked.
“Oooo, fun!” Silas laughed softly. “We won’t mind hearing you writing a sex scene, boy. Not at all.”
“M-maybe… I’m thinking about a romance novel.”
“Oh, very nice. Bran and I could be your models.”
Bran glanced in the rearview and saw Silas posing.
“You are both… wow.” Jamie moaned low. “A fantasy.”
“Not a fantasy. We’re very real men and we’re right here,” Bran reminded Jamie.
“Uh-huh.” He could hear Silas kissing their boy again. Horndog. Of course, if their places had been reversed, he’d probably be doing the same thing.
Jamie whimpered, moaning into Silas’s mouth.
So pretty together.
He made himself watch the road. He was carrying precious cargo, and he needed to get his lovers home without incident.
They pulled into the garage, and he parked before grabbing the food. “Let’s go eat, you two.”
Silas and Jamie pulled apart, Silas grinning like the Cheshire cat. He did have the presence of mind to grab the bag from the drugstore, and Jamie’s good hand.
Jamie was sporting an erection, and there was a wet spot on his trousers. Adorable.
“How’s the burn?” he asked as they went in and straight toward the kitchen. He could see the white bandage on the injured hand, and he approved of Silas’s ministrations.
“It’s much better, thank you. It feels good.”
“There you go. See? There’s advantages to having the hand doctored.” He opened the bags and set their food out on the table while Silas grabbed some utensils.
“What can I do to help?” Jamie asked.
“Sit and eat.” All he had left to do was grab them some sodas from the fridge, which he did before joining his lovers at the table.
“It smells like heaven. This is absolutely my favorite curry.” Jamie smiled at them. “Want a bite?”
“Yes.” He and Silas answered together, then laughed and high-fived each other. Then they both opened their mouths like baby birds.
Jamie chuckled, and their boy carefully fed them both a generous bite, only spilling a bit.
Humming, he licked his lips. “It’s delicious.”
Silas nodded. “I want to share mine too—who else wants some teriyaki chicken?”
Bran dropped his mouth open again. He was enjoying this feeding-each-other game.
Silas fed him a bite, then glanced at Jamie. “You?”
“Sure.” Jamie opened his mouth too, a little shyer than he’d been. Time and nearness would ease that. Eventually Jamie would trust them completely.
He loved the way Jamie held their gazes, sweet and nervous and hungry.
Silas fed Jamie, then he took his turn, offering up a bite of his spicy curry. He figured Jamie would like it, as he liked the green curry. Silas on the other hand, he gave a little bite to, knowing his lover wasn’t that into spicy.
Jamie hummed low, shivering with a smile. “Yummy.”
“Watching you eat it is almost better than eating it myself.” Lord, he was smitten. Silas was going to be smug—he’d been so right about Jamie.
The man had not had a second doubt. Not one.
“Help me out here,” Silas said to him.
“Sorry, what am I helping you out with?”
“I suggested that Jamie should come to bed with us and do his writing in the morning because he doesn’t start work until one p.m.”
He smiled. “Oh, I think that’s a brilliant idea. I’m in.”
“I knew you would be. Jamie?” Silas looked at their boy expectantly.
“I… If I can have a shower first, please.”
“Of course. Did you want to shower on your own, or with company?”
“The shower’s not that big…”
Oh, right. He’d only been in the guest bath.
“The master bedroom has an amazing en suite,” Silas told Jamie. “Amazing.”
“Oh…”
“We’ll wash clothes. We—”
Jamie interrupted Silas. “If this is going to be a thing, I should bring over my pajamas.”
“I think you should bring over more than just your pajamas,” Bran suggested. “Maybe on your next day off, we can move the things you need. Because Silas and I would very much like this to be a thing.”
“Yes.” It was all Silas said, but it was all he needed to say.
“I—Let me think about it, okay?”
“Of course. We’re not pushing you into anything.”
“Just being highly encouraging,” Silas added.
Bran chuckled and nodded at the table. “Let’s all eat, hmm?”
“Yeah. I’m starving.” Jamie relaxed with them, eating. They spent the next half an hour laughing and chatting, and it was surprising to discover how funny Jamie was, when he relaxed. And smart. Their boy was bright and quick.
By the time they’d finished eating, they were all feeling full and happy, and they lingered over the desserts.
Jamie smiled at them, and that sweet expression made Bran’s heart beat faster.
Unable to resist, he leaned in and pressed their lips together. Jamie tasted like coconut with the barest hint of spice, and he deepened the kiss, wanting more.
Jamie opened to him like a dream, lips parting, tongue sliding along his. He hummed, the vibrations tickling a little where their skin met.
He wanted more skin meeting, so he cupped Jamie’s cheeks, stroking with his thumbs.
Silas tugged Jamie’s shirt up, baring that taut belly. It made him wish he had extra hands, but Silas had two of his own and he was busy with those sweet abs, making Jamie moan into Bran’s mouth.
Such a pretty baby.
He licked a line around Jamie’s lips, teasing, playing. Jamie moaned again, tongue chasing his. So responsive and needy. It was intoxicating.
“I didn’t think I’d ever get hard again after yesterday,” Jamie whispered.
“You’re going to get hard every day, boy. We’re going to play and play and have the best time ever.” It was a promise.
“Every day?”
Silas chuckled softly. “Yes, baby boy. Over and over.”
“Let’s get you into that shower,” Bran suggested. “That way we’re upstairs and all naked and we can explore hardness.” They’d just wrap that hand in plastic so it didn’t get wet tonight.
“Sounds perfect. Let me help clean up, hmm?” Jamie sighed and took a soft kiss.
“I was thinking we’d just let it all sit until morning,” Silas suggested. “It’s not going anywhere.”
Bran shook his head, though. “Jamie’s right. It’ll be nicer in the morning if we do it now.”
“I’ll do it. I… Your home is so perfect, I’d like to keep it clean.”
“We’ll help,” Bran insisted. “And it’s not perfect, but we do have a cleaning crew in once a week—that makes a big difference.”
