College Fun, page 31
Veronica turned on the radio and kept it low as she kept her eyes on the road. The further she drove away from town the less traffic she had to stop and go with. She felt a relief when she was out of town knowing that she was only a few minutes away from the bar that she had scoped out the night before.
Fifteen minutes later she pulled into the bar called 'Shooters' she noticed before she even got out of the car that there were pool tables inside, there were small, round, tables and there were some booths lining the wall. It looked like a quiet bar because she didn't see a house band inside.
Shutting the car off she got out and locked it up, walking in her boots to the front door and walking in she went to the bar and ordered a beer. She saw that all the men in there seemed to be looking at her. Even the ones with a woman with them and she paid no attention to any of them as she got her bottle of beer and walked over to one of the booths in the corner to just scope out what kind of people went to the bar.
Chapter 2
Veronica had been there an hour and four men had come up to her to see if she was with someone. She had told them nicely that she wasn't interested in them and they shrugged their shoulders and walked away from her working on the next woman who was by herself. There were a few of them but Veronica didn't know which one she should approach herself.
Her heart was pounding hard in her chest when she saw that there was a blond woman across the room looking out the window. She was wearing a white dress and she had what looked like a diamond necklace around her neck.
Veronica knew she had to make her move if she was going to find someone for her. The only way she could was to ask. The worst that could happen was the woman would tell her no. She got up from the booth she was sitting at and went back to the bar. Talking to the bartender for a minute before she went back to her seat.
Veronica had a smile on her face when the bartender got a cold beer out of the cooler behind him and he walked away from the bar. She watched him as he made his way to the blonde headed woman and he explained what was going on when he put the beer down in front of her. He pointed Veronica out and she smiled at the woman. The woman nodded her head and smiled back at her as she took a sip of the beer. Veronica's heart fluttered, she thought that it was a good sign, she thought that the woman was really interested in her.
When the bartender went back behind the bar Veronica made her second move. Getting up slowly on shaking legs she made her way over to the woman she had bought the beer for and sat down in the seat across from her.
“Thank you for the beer.” The blonde smiled at her, taking another sip of it.
“You're welcome. Are you here alone?” Veronica asked, hoping to get right to the point so that she could either leave or spend some time with her.
“Actually no, I'm sorry. I'm waiting on someone.” The woman told her, not the least shocked that Veronica had asked her. Not the least shocked that another woman had asked her if she was alone.
“Oh, I'm sorry for wasting your time.” Veronica told her softly, ready to get up from the booth before the blonde put her hand over hers gently.
“It's not that you bothered me. I think that you are very, very, attractive but I'm seeing someone else and if I was single I would take you up on your offer.” The blonde winked at her and made Veronica blush.
“Thanks. You have a good night.” Veronica gave her the biggest smile she could give her. At least it wasn't because she was seeing a guy like almost all of them. She had a little more confidence in herself when she went back to her own booth. She didn't feel like running and hiding like she had so many times before.
Veronica stayed for another half an hour and when she was ready to leave she noticed that another woman walked in through the door. She made her way over to the blonde on the other side of the room and it made her feel better that the blond hadn't lied to her.
When Veronica got up and headed for the door. The blonde woman waved goodnight to her and Veronica waved back to her with a smile on her face. She knew that there were lesbian's out there just like her but to find someone who wasn't taken was the hardest thing. Once again she had failed and she wasn't sure what she was going to do. By the time she made it to her car and got in she hadn't realized that she had been crying.
Veronica started the car and put her head down on the steering wheel letting out her frustration and having a good cry right there in the parking lot. It was the same as all the other nights. She was going home alone, she had no one to talk to and the one she thought she was going to be talking with was already with someone.
She wiped her tears and headed out of the parking lot. Heading back home and hoping she could come up with something else. Veronica was feeling more and more depressed as she got closer and closer to home. There was nowhere else she could think of to go, it was getting late anyways and knew that if she stopped anywhere else she wouldn't be staying long and she didn't have much money left for the night and figured it would just be a good idea to go home and go to bed.
Veronica walked into her house and took her boots off the second she got home. Kicking them off and watching them slide across the kitchen floor.
“I might as well just give up.” She murmured to herself as she made her way through the small living room and up the four stairs that led to her bedroom.
Without even taking her dress off she got under the covers and turned on her television. Leaving her bedroom door open she flipped through the channels until she settled on the news, grabbing her computer instead of trying to sleep when she knew that she couldn't.
Veronica checked her email to see if Chelsea had messaged her and there was nothing from her. She checked nightly so that she could get right back to her if she could. Never wanting to be the first one to sit there and message her first. She didn't want Chelsea thinking that she wanted her back even though she would have no trouble working it out with her again if Chelsea said she wanted to come home but she never pushed her either.
Veronica looked on line for a little bit, hoping to find some sites that would help her out. A single's site. When Veronica found one just for lesbians she was thrilled. She had made a screen name 'Luscious Lashes' and looked through to see if any of the woman had anything she was really interested in.
Veronica put a picture of herself as her profile picture and sent a few emails to a few different women before logging off the computer for the night. She felt better about herself. If this was the way she would have to go than that was fine with her. She didn't know why she hadn't thought of it sooner. She shut her light off that was on the stand but kept her television on so that she could fall asleep to it.
Covering herself up and making sure the blankets were to her chin she kept her eyes on the television screen and slowly fell asleep. She wasn't sure what would come of the emails but all she could do was hope that someone normal would read her messages or check out her profile and she cold find someone who was special to her, someone who would stick out above all the others. She wasn't looking for millions of women to talk to. She was looking just for one. One that would want to get to know her. That would want to take the time to meet her even if it was in a public place. She wasn't looking for an online relationship but she was looking to chat with a woman online and then be comfortable enough to meet up somewhere, anywhere.
Veronica woke up at six in the morning and remembered that she didn't have to go to work. It was Saturday and she didn't have to go into the office. She didn't have to put on the white outfit that she wore Monday through Friday and the white high heels.
Veronica stared up at the ceiling, waiting for her body to wake up. Waiting to find the strength to get out of bed on her own and when she turned her head towards the night stand she saw her lap top. She felt a smile come across her face when she remembered what she had done the night before.
Sitting up quickly on the bed she put her pillows up against the headboard and pressed her back against it before she reached for the computer. She didn't even think about having a cup of coffee. She didn't care about that at the moment. She wanted to see if any of the women she had messaged had messaged her back, she felt her hands shaking when she opened up her account and saw that there were three women who had messaged her back.
Veronica read the messages quickly. There were some that didn't even make any sense. There was a woman that had sent her a naked picture and even though she looked really good and she was pretty the last thing that Veronica wanted was someone who wanted to have sex and then be on their way. She didn't want that and she wasn't going to pretend that she did.
The last email she read kind of took her by surprise. The woman's name was Leslie and there was a picture of her. She saw that Leslie was just as lonely as she was, not just for sex but for companionship. Veronica saw that Leslie had left a picture with her email and she thought that Leslie was very good looking.
Leslie had shoulder length black hair and dark blue eyes. Veronica could see that she had a black dress on that revealed some of her cleavage. She was looking to be with someone too. She was lonely and wanted someone to talk with first before meeting.
Veronica quickly hit the reply button hoping that Leslie was waiting for her reply back. Hoping that Leslie was right there at the computer when she replied back to the email.
You seem to be the right one that I'm looking for Leslie. I was hoping that you weren't busy and we would be able to talk off and on throughout the day. If we like each other maybe we could meet up at the end of the week? Let me know, I am not looking to waste anyone's time and I am just looking for a friend first and see how it goes. I am not looking to rush into anything at all. You understand how lonely it is out there and no matter how many times I have tried being face to face with women they either shoot me down or they are already with someone. This here, turning to the internet was my last resort. I hope that you don't think that I am just all over the internet because this is my first time ever looking for a woman on this.
Sincerely,
Veronica.
Veronica read what she had written and then hit the send button. She was glad that it was on it's way to Leslie. She waited about five minutes before she refreshed the page and saw that there was no email back. She sighed heavily and threw the covers off of her knowing that she had to have a cup of coffee, she had to do something besides just sitting there waiting for a reply back from a complete stranger. She wanted to know more about Leslie but she didn't want to seem desperate either and that's how she was feeling because she had never waited around for emails not even when Chelsea had begun talking with her over the internet.
Veronica had done her own thing when Chelsea finally contacted her for the first time after not being with each other. She waited at least a day before she replied back to Chelsea without looking and seeing if Chelsea had sent another message. She didn't want anyone thinking she was desperate though deep down she knew she really was.
She went down and made a pot of coffee, she watched it as it brewed slowly. She looked at the clock and saw that it had only been twenty minutes since she had sent the message to Leslie. She was going to wait another ten minutes and go upstairs with her coffee and get back into bed. It was her day off she should be able to have a lazy day and do nothing all day if she wanted to.
Grabbing the coffee pot the second it was done she got a glass mug and poured it in, adding milk and sugar she put the pot back on the burner and made her way through the house again and made her way up the stairs again.
Veronica was glad she wasn't a smoker, she would have been puffing down three or four before she checked her email again. She got into bed put her laptop on her bed and put the hot cup of coffee on the stand beside her where she could reach it.
Finally opening her email again she was glad to see that Leslie had responded back to her, she had responded fifteen minutes ago and Veronica knew that she should email her back when she got done reading the message she had left. Veronica had a smile on her face when she saw the message, reading it over again before she decided to hit the reply button.
I am glad that you feel the same way about this that I do. There are so many women out there who are looking for just sex and that's not something I am into. I don't like having one night stands or just meeting someone for sex and calling it good. I know how lonely it can get and I don't judge you for turning to the internet. You are braver than I am. I haven't gone out in public to find women, I don't think that I could do that. You are the first one I've messaged back since being on this site. I've been here for three months and none of them are as understanding as you are. I hope to hear back from you, I would like to take things slowly as well. What are the things you like to do? What are the things you like to eat?
Sincerely,
Leslie.
Veronica already felt the butterflies in her stomach when she read the message over and over again. She had a good feeling about Leslie and she couldn't wait to talk to her, this time when she replied to Leslie she was going to make sure she was right there waiting for Leslie's reply. She didn't want to keep waiting and now she really didn't care if she looked to desperate.
Chapter 3
I like going for long walks on the beach, going to the ocean and watching the sun sets. My favorite food is seafood. I drink wine at night and my favorite movies are romance movies. How about you?
Veronica.
It only took a few minutes for Leslie to reply back to her, the only thing that they didn't have in common was the seafood part. Other than that they were on the same page. Veronica's heart was beating hard when she wanted to ask her a question. She had to know how far away Leslie lived from her, thinking she might live in another state and they would never meet up no matter how much they talked about it. If Leslie lived too far away from her she would have to tell her that she was looking for someone who at least lived a state away from her so that they could still meet up.
“Well it's now or never to ask. I can't get wrapped in this completely and then let myself down too.” Veronica stated out loud, shrugging her shoulders she began typing again.
Where do you live? I know that it may sound like a personal piece of information but I need to know how far away you are. If you live too far away I don't think that we are going to be able to continue. I would like to meet up with you.
Veronica.
I live in New Hampshire in a small town called New Burg. How about you?
Leslie.
Veronica couldn't believe her eyes when she read the message. She couldn't believe that they lived not only in the same state but in the same town as well. She wondered if she had ever walked by her on the streets and just never noticed her. She thought she would have known Leslie after the picture had been sent to her but she hadn't met her a day in her life and they lived in a very small town. Wondering why she hadn't kept her eyes open for a woman like her.
No way! I live in the same town as you! I don't know how we have never met before now. You would think that we would have met each other in passing or something.
Veronica.
I just moved here a month ago. I haven't been out to look at the town and I don't have many friends. Originally I came from Georgia and I've been looking for work so that could be why we have never met each other before. It seems like a nice town though and I'm glad that we have met each other online at least. If you don't mind me asking could you send me another picture?
Leslie.
Veronica looked around her room and saw that it was nice and clean. She wasn't sure what Leslie meant by sending her another picture but she got out of bed and took the dress off that she had worn the night before. They had been talking for an hour already and she knew that if Leslie was looking for a naked picture than she would have asked for one in the beginning. She knew how people worked on the computer she had been one of those people when she was younger, in her teens when she wasn't sure if she was into women or men and she had been seeing a guy online who had wanted her pictures. Naked pictures of her from the start. From the first email she had gotten from him.
Going to her closet she found something sexy to wear. She put on a black, lace, night gown with thin straps. Something that showed off her breasts and something that she knew would make Leslie sit up and take notice more than she already was.
Looking at herself when she closed her closet door she knew she looked really good. She went to her dresser and put on the matching panties to cover herself and then she laid down on her bed, taking a picture of herself with the built in camera that she had on her computer she took two pictures and looked them over before she sent them over to Leslie.
It had been five minutes before she had heard anything from Leslie after she sent the pictures to her. She was beginning to feel anxious now, wondering if Leslie liked the pictures or not, wondering if Leslie didn't like the pictures. If she didn't she knew she wouldn't hear from Leslie again and she was afraid that was what was happening.
Veronica refreshed the page three times before she finally got the email that Leslie had sent to her. Feeling a little more anxious before she opened the email she knew that she had to find out one way or another and it would be better to find out before she actually met up with her.
You look very nice, I love the night gown on you Veronica. I hope that you are okay with me asking you to send me the picture. I didn't think about it until after I sent it. I don't want you just for your body.
Leslie.
I was worried that you weren't going to like it. You had taken forever to send an email back to me so you were making me a little nervous. Just talking to you I think that you are very nice and I would like to get to know you more. I was wondering if maybe you would want to meet up later tonight or maybe tomorrow? I hope that it's not too soon but we live in the same town and I thought that had to be a good sign you know? If you want to meet next week that's fine too. I don't want to rush you into making a decision.
