Savage Daddy, page 29
“What’s going on?” Ethan asked as Sav carried her into the bedroom. Wyatt was sitting on his knee, sniffling but quiet. Buster jumped up as Sav set her down on the bed.
“Oh no, Livvy, did you break something? Ouch, your knees are all cut up. Oh wow, that’s so cool.”
“Buster, can you go get the First-Aid kit?” Sav asked calmly. He crouched in front of her, turning her hands over. “Shit. We might need to go to the emergency room.”
“The emergency room? Are you sure?”
“Some of these look deep, baby girl,” he told her. “Let’s just do what we can to clean them up a bit. Then we’ll get you some help.”
“Can’t we go see Hack?”
“I’ll call him.”
“Here you go, Sav,” Buster said, racing back in with a kit. “What happened? Where did the glass come from? Is Livvy gonna need stitches? I got stitches once in my arm, right, Livvy?”
“You sure did, buddy,” she said, feeling shaky and out of it.
“I’m going to call Duke and Razor,” Sav said quietly. “I want you boys to stay here with your aunt, all right? Take care of her. Can you do that?”
Ethan nodded.
“You bet, Sav!” Buster replied. “I’m not gonna let her get off the bed. She looks a bit pale to me. You want me to yell for you if she’s naughty?”
Oh Lord. Under other circumstances, she’d probably be horrified by that. But she just sighed and tried to reach for Wyatt who was wiggling to get to her.
“Yeah, bud, you yell for me if she tries to move,” Sav replied. He patted Wyatt’s head to settle him. “Give me a couple of minutes.”
“Can you get Cinnabun?” Buster asked.
“Sure thing.”
She knew he was going to go downstairs and check things out. A shiver ran through her. What happened? A window didn’t just smash like that. Something had to have gone through it. She was barely aware of Sav leaving. Of the boys talking to each other.
Of Sav returning with Cinnabun in her cage.
“Right, boys, go get your jackets and boots on. You can wear your pajamas. Grab anything you need, including your stuff for school tomorrow. We’re going to have a sleepover at Sunny and Duke’s tonight.”
They were? Why did they have to do that?
“Come here, Wyatt. Let’s go get you ready, bud. Okay?” Sav soothed.
He wasn’t talking to her, but the calmness in his voice helped settle her.
“Sav?”
“Hey, baby girl. You doing okay?” He cupped the back of her head and leaned in to kiss her gently.
“What happened?”
“Don’t worry about that right now. I just need you to stay here while I get the boys ready, all right? We’re going to have a sleepover with Sunny and Duke since we don’t have any bedding at our new place. Hack will meet us there. Razor’s coming here to board up the window. But I need to get everyone ready. So just stay here. Promise?”
She stared up at him, confused.
“Baby girl. Stay here,” he said sternly.
“All right.”
He disappeared with Wyatt.
Get it together, Livvy.
Deep breath in. Then out.
Something had smashed through the front window. She didn’t understand what. But from the way Sav was acting, it couldn’t be anything good. She glanced down at her hands, they hurt. So did her knees. But surely she didn’t need the emergency room.
Couldn’t they patch up the window and go to sleep?
Except . . . it didn’t feel safe here. A shiver raced through her. Where were the boys? She stood up, needing to find them.
“Livvy, baby. What are you doing? Shit. Come here.” She found herself lifted up and cradled against a firm chest.
“Where are the boys? Sav, what happened?” All right, she was starting to feel more like herself now. As though she could breathe properly. Think again. But even as her mind came back onboard, her body began to shake. “The window just smashed. And I got so scared. What’s wrong with me?”
“You’re in shock. You’re fine. The boys are ready to go.” He set her down on the bed, then grabbed a blanket, wrapping it around her. He was careful not to bump her hands and knees. Then he picked her back up.
“What happened? If we’re going to Sunny and Duke’s, then we’ll need Wyatt’s bassinet—”
“It’s all right. I’ve put everything into the back of the truck.”
“You’re amazing.”
“I’m going to put you in the truck first, then go back for them. I’ll lock you in. Will you be all right?”
“I’ll be fine.” A shiver raced through her at the idea of being alone, though.
“Just for a minute.” He carried her down the stairs, careful to shield her from the mess in the living room as he opened the front door. “It doesn’t feel safe here.”
“Don’t worry. Because you won’t be coming back here.”
“But we’re not moving until the weekend.”
“I’ve just moved up the timeline,” he told her. “There’s no way any of you are staying here another minute.”
He strode outside to his truck. He popped her into the passenger seat, wrapping the blanket around her. Then he put the seat belt over her, buckling her in.
He raced inside and soon the boys were coming out. Buster was chatting away, carrying Cinnabun’s cage. Sav had already put Wyatt in his seat. When he set him in the truck, she turned and saw that the poor baby was already asleep.
Once everyone was inside, Sav sped away. She glanced over at him worriedly.
“What smashed the window?” Ethan asked.
“A brick,” Sav said grimly.
She bit her lip. Why would anyone do that?
She expected more questions from the boys, but they grew silent.
“You guys okay?” she asked. “You’re not scared, are you?”
“Nah, Livvy, Sav will look after us.”
“Stuff like that always happens here,” Ethan added. “It’s good we’re moving.”
It sure was.
They drove in silence to Duke and Sunny’s. All three boys were sleeping by the time they arrived. Duke and Hack carried them all in while Sav grabbed her. Sunny waited inside, looking worried. But as soon as she saw the boys, she smiled.
“I have everything set up for you guys,” she whispered. “Here, give me Wyatt. Sav, you’re in your old room. I’ve set beds up in the living room for Buster and Ethan.”
Sav nodded and carried her to a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. He set her down on the bed carefully.
“Anything you need?” Duke asked from the doorway. “The boys are still sleeping.”
“We’re good,” Sav said as he unwrapped her from the blanket. “Thanks for having us, man.”
“Anytime,” he replied. “I’ll set Wyatt’s bed up in here and bring him in once you’re finished.”
“Thanks, Duke.”
Duke nodded and left just as Hack walked in.
“Now, let’s see what we have going on, huh, little one?” Hack asked soothingly as he crouched in front of her. “We have got to keep meeting like this. It’s making the big guy a bit grumpy.”
The big guy just glared down at him. Forty minutes later, her hands and knees were all cleaned and she had four stitches on her left palm.
She was exhausted, spacey and feeling kind of ill.
Hack quickly said good-night and Sav got her ready for bed. Wyatt was already in his bassinet in the corner of the room.
“The boys?”
“I’ll check on them. You go to sleep. Everything is going to be fine.”
“What about our stuff?”
“I’ll take the day off tomorrow and move it all. I’m sure Duke will help.”
“I’ll help too.”
Hopefully, her boss was understanding about her needing more time off.
Sav cupped her chin, giving her a stern look. “You’ll call into work, but you won’t be helping move. You can sit on the couch and direct, but that’s it.”
“I can help more than that!” she whisper-yelled.
“Nope. You’re going to rest. Daddy’s orders.”

Sav really hadn’t been joking when he said that she wouldn’t be allowed to do anything. It was two in the afternoon the next day and the most he’d let her do was go to the bathroom. Everyone else was working hard, packing up the rest of their stuff and moving it in here and she felt terrible.
Sav had taken the boys to school and daycare as usual. To her shock, they’d been fine about moving house sooner. Buster was full of excitement and Ethan had just told her that it would be safer for all of them. Wyatt had been a bit clingier this morning and she’d thought about keeping him home with her for the day. But when Sav had reached for him, he’d willingly gone with him.
She’d spent the rest of the day feeling useless and lazy. Sunny had told her off when she’d said that to her. The other woman had unpacked while Duke and Sav worked together at the duplex.
But now, Sunny had headed off to an appointment. And Sav was sorting stuff out at the duplex with the landlord. They’d both talked to the cops that morning. The police didn’t seem that interested in investigating the brick that had been flung through her window. She guessed she couldn’t blame them when they had worse crimes to solve. Especially when they had admitted that crime was on the upswing in that neighborhood. Sav hadn’t been impressed at their attitude, however.
Her phone rang, and she quickly reached for it, grinning when she saw who was calling.
“Maya!” She’d texted the other woman a few times. She was funny and smart. “What’s going on?”
“My boss is an asshole, so just the usual.”
Maya’s boss sounded like a bit of an uptight jerk. Although she did like to talk about him an awful lot.
“What’s up with you?”
“Um, well, I have a few things to tell you.” After she’d told her everything that had happened, Maya fell silent.
“Damn, girl. Your life is not boring.”
“Sometimes I wish it was. And I feel like it was super boring up until the past few weeks.”
“I don’t like that this stuff keeps happening. I want you to come to self-defense lessons with me.”
“Do you really think I need them?”
“It can’t hurt, right? And if it keeps you safe, then it’s worth it.”
“All right, I’ll think about it.” After they chatted for a few more minutes, she hung up then looked around for something to do.
Walking into the master suite, she figured she’d unpack the last of their clothes and toiletries.
Grabbing one box, she carried it into the attached bathroom. Her hands protested and she hissed. Looked like she was going to be dragging the box instead.
“Livvy? Where are you?”
“In the bathroom.” She turned from where she was trying to nudge the box along the floor.
Relief filled his face as he saw her, then he frowned. “What are you doing, Bubbles?”
“Ahh, well, Sunny had to go. And this stuff still needed unpacking, so I thought I’d do it.”
He folded his arms over his chest. “What were you told to do today?”
She huffed out a sigh. “Sit on the couch and rest.”
“So why are you trying to unpack?”
“It’s just one box. And I feel fine.” She didn’t. She was tired and she had a headache. And her hands and knees hurt.
“You don’t look fine. You look pale and exhausted. Come on, sit down.” Picking her up, he carried her into the bedroom and settled her on the bed.
“But that’s all I’ve done all day,” she whined. Then she quickly stopped herself. Yikes. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound ungrateful or anything. I know everyone has worked so hard. I just find it difficult to sit by while everyone else does stuff for me.”
“I know you do. But everyone wants to help you, and you have to accept it when you need it. You also need to listen to Daddy when he gives you an order for your health. Because if I’m worrying about you, then I can’t concentrate on everything else.”
Oh crumbs. Now he was really making her feel terrible.
“I’m sorry, Daddy. I promise I was good the rest of the day. Just don’t like feeling useless.”
“You’re not useless.” He crouched in front of her. “You were doing an important job, taking care of my baby girl. I know it’s hard. But I also need you to listen. Understand?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“Good girl. Now, I’m going to finish the unpacking and you are going to have a nap.”
“I don’t need a nap. I promise I’ve been resting!”
“Good girl. But you look exhausted. And I need to take care of you. For my own peace of mind. I’m going to get you some painkillers, but you should really have something in your belly.”
“I’m not hungry, Daddy.”
“I’ve got you something that will be easier on your tummy. Let’s get you into something comfier to nap in.”
“But I need to get the boys in a couple of hours.”
“I’ll take care of that. You just concentrate on doing as Daddy says, understand?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
In the end, he put her in one of his large T-shirts. It was soft and it smelled like him, which instantly comforted her.
After tucking her into bed, he disappeared. She knew she wouldn’t sleep. Not even with her pacifier and Savycorn. She was yawning as he returned. She tried to stifle it, but he gave her a knowing look.
Surprise filled her as she saw he was carrying the baby bottle he’d bought her. They hadn’t had a chance to use it yet. Finding time when it was just the two of them was challenging.
There was some milky liquid in it and he shook it then set it down on the nightstand. He also had her bib and the pacifier that dispensed medicine.
“I put some liquid painkiller into the pacifier, you can suck on it after your bottle.” Sitting next to her, he helped her sit up, then put the bib around her. Grabbing the bottle, he held it to her lips as she leaned against him. She thought she’d be more embarrassed, but a sense of rightness, of happiness, filled her as she sucked on the bottle.
He rubbed his free hand up and down her arm, whispering to her soothingly about what a good girl she was. Half-asleep, she barely felt him remove the nipple. But she did protest the loss.
Another nipple pressed against her lips. Her pacifier. He undid her bib and she was tucked into bed.
“Sleep, baby girl. Let Daddy worry about everything for a while.”
* * *
Sav woke up as something hot enveloped his hard dick.
He glanced around feeling disorientated for a moment.
Not his duplex. Not his bed.
But the woman in it . . . now, she was definitely his.
And right now, her naughty mouth was wrapped around his cock. Fuck, it felt so good.
“Baby girl, what are you doing?” he murmured.
He glanced down his body to where she had her mouth wrapped around him. Fuck, he wished he could stay all day in bed with her. Worshiping her. Playing with her.
He wasn’t sure he’d ever been so terrified as when he’d heard the glass smashing and the sound of a car speeding off. When he’d realized that his girl was out of his sight and protection.
Fuck. He still didn’t think he deserved her.
But he wasn’t ever letting her go. He was going to weave himself into her life so much that she wouldn’t know how to be without him.
He moaned as she drew her mouth up his dick, then licked over the head.
“Good morning, Daddy.”
“Morning, naughty girl.”
She leaned up on her elbows to give him a pouting look. Even after her nap yesterday, she’d been tired and pale-looking so he was pleased to see her looking much better this morning.
That didn’t mean that she should be waking up early to give him a blow job.
“I’m not naughty.”
“You should be sleeping right now.”
“Are you complaining about the way I’m waking you up, Daddy?” She gave him an incredulous look.
“As good as your mouth feels around my dick, you need to be resting. And are you supposed to touch my cock without asking?”
“I rested lots yesterday, Daddy. And I just wanted to taste you.”
“You need my cock in your mouth, huh, baby girl?” Reaching down, he brushed his fingers over her cheek. She turned into his touch, seeking more.
“Yes, Daddy. Please.”
“I’m not sure you’ve been a good girl, though.”
“I have!”
“Hmm, I came home yesterday to find you moving around a box when you were told to take it easy.”
“I’m sorry, Daddy.”
He carefully drew her up, then rolled her onto her back. “How are your hands and knees?”
“Much better, Daddy.”
He drew up the T-shirt she was wearing, which happened to be one of his, and cupped her breast.
She let out a sharp gasp as he lightly pinched her nipple.
“Are you wet?” he asked.
“Yes,” she moaned.
“Poor baby, do you need Daddy to make you come?”
“Yes. Yes.”
They hadn’t had time for much play these past few days between work, the boys, and packing.
But it was time to slow things down. For both of them to have some fun.
“Put your hands above your head.” He quickly glanced at the clock. If he was lucky, he had a half-hour before the boys started waking up. “If you move them then everything stops. Understand?”
“Yes, Daddy.”
“And you’ll have to be quiet.”
“I can be quiet.”
“Good girl.” He lightly kissed her before moving his mouth down to her nipple and sucking on it strongly.
“But I wanted to give you pleasure this morning,” she told him.
“Later,” he replied. “I’ve woken up hungry for the taste of you.”
He slid his tongue along her tummy. Sliding between her legs, he drew her panties down her legs, feeling how wet they were. “Damn, baby girl. Someone liked waking Daddy with a blow job.”
