Robert Thornhill

What do a Confederate soldier who died on the field of battle, a woman who was driven from her home by the ravages of the Civil War, and a man who perished in a turn-of-the-century asylum have in common? They all contact private investigator, Walt Williams. A bizarre series of events surrounding these paranormal visits culminate in the discovery of a terrorist plot to detonate bombs at a crowded festival.Once again, Lady Justice pairs Walt with forces from beyond the veil to solve mysteries hidden for decades and bring evil-doers to justice. ** Review "Lady Justice and the Ghost Whisperer", like each of the stories in this series, masterfully blends at least three fascinating subplots, only tangentially related, but fully captivating and thought-provoking. And, as always, at least some of the action is straight out of today's news headlines.      Mr. Thornhill is uniquely capable of combining humor, an unlikely cast of realistically believable characters, and fresh drama, into a story you won't want to put down until you reach the final page. When you do reach that final page, you will enjoy a sense of satisfaction in how the conflicts were resolved, and most certainly will know you got your money's worth with your purchase of the book. [Lady Justice 08] - Lady Justice and the Watchers

[Lady Justice 08] - Lady Justice and the Watchers

Robert Thornhill

Robert Thornhill

Suzanne Collins wrote The Hunger Games , Aldous Huxley wrote Brave New World and George Orwell wrote 1984. All three novels were about dystopian societies of the future. In Lady Justice and the Watchers , Walt Williams sees the world we live in today through the eyes of a group who call themselves 'The Watchers'. Oscar Levant said that there's a fine line between genius and insanity. After listening to Lady Justice and the Watchers , you may realize as Walt did that there's also a very fine line separating the life of freedom that we enjoy today and the totalitarian society envisioned in these classic novels. Quietly and without fanfare, powerful interests have instituted policies that have eroded our privacy, health and individual freedoms. Is the dystopian society still a thing of the distant future or is it with us now disguised as a wolf in sheep's clothing?

Robert Thornhill

Robert Thornhill

Two radical groups have joined together for a common purpose --- to kill the President of the United States, and they're looking for the perfect person to do the job.Not a cold-blooded killer or a vicious assassin, but a model citizen, far removed from the watchful eyes of Homeland Security. When the president comes to Kansas City, the unlikely trio of Walt, Willie and Louie the Lip find themselves knee-deep in the planned assassination.Join our heroes for another suspenseful mystery and lots of laughs! ** Review Reviewed by Lee Ashford for Readers' Favorite Like its predecessors, Lady Justice and the Assassin has a plot ripped from today's headlines. The several sub-plots are blended perfectly within the main theme, which is a conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States AND the Vice President, while they both are making public presentations half a continent apart from one another. The pretext for the assassinations could not be more plausible. In fact, I would be VERY surprised if Robert Thornhill has not made himself a focus of federal investigation for detailing so much legitimate-sounding preparation for an assassination attempt. If not for the insertion of several comical sub-plots, one might very well be excused for wondering if this was an actual conspiracy gone awry. Lady Justice and the Assassin is flawlessly executed. As with its precursors, one cannot help but believe this story could be an actual account of the daily extremes faced by police officers everywhere. Thornhill writes as if his primary reference is his daily police log. It is hard to conceive of anyone actually making up this stuff! It is just too authentic feeling to be pure fiction. Yet, in spite of the severity of the main plot, the story is extraordinarily entertaining and humorous... too much so to NOT be fiction. Thornhill deservedly has been recognized multiple times for his Lady Justice series. Lady Justice and the Assassin seems likely to garner yet another award for this brilliantly talented author. If you are new to this series, and enjoy humor mixed with mystery, I urge you to not wait another minute; buy this book and prepare to become an avid fan of Robert Thornhill.
