Seven years into the zombie apocalypse, humanity has gathered in individual settlements and adjusted to a life of self-governance and survival. The U.S. government maintains relationships with the settlements while trying to find a solution to combat the virus. When a vaccine becomes available, the National Guard starts delivering it to the survivors. But there's a catch: it only works on the healthy.
