Paddling closer to her, I slip my arms under her legs and shoulders, lifting her from the water and tossing her to the side. She squeals happily as she splashes back in.
"Oh, you're in trouble!" Brooke cackles, kicking massive sprays of water at me.
"Can't be in trouble if you don't catch me!" I call back and swim parallel to the shore as fast as I can. She's on me within seconds—how is she so fast?—and dunks me under the water. I emerge sputtering and laughing. She doesn't back away fast enough, though, and I snatch her close with a soul-shattering kiss.
Brooke, my beautiful bride, kisses me back with fervor. Her soft lips feel like heaven, and the tiny gasp between kisses shoots straight to my heart. I've never been more in love with her. I love bringing out her playful side, but I adore the romantic side of her. And the erotic side? Woof. You could knock me over with a feather when she looks at me with those bedroom eyes.
Yep, I have a future with Brooke. And it's the brightest my future has ever been.
