Venus Was Her Name, page 30
And I seem to have mislaid someone… who could that be? Oh yes, how could I ever forget my writing buddy, mistress of mischief, captain bossy-boots, and storyteller extraordinaire, Keri Beevis. I have dedicated this book to her mainly because I know how much she loves it but also because this whole writing malarkey wouldn’t be half as much fun if she wasn’t with me every step of the way. As much as I write the words, I always feel that she is part of the story too, mine and the book’s. So thank you mate, for everything. And here’s to the future, wishing you all the very best with your writing: reach for the stars and shine.
And finally, and as always, to my family. How I love you all, and to be honest, words are not enough to truly express the joy and pride having you in my life brings.
So I’m going to pinch some words from this book, and a bloke called Shakespeare, and give them a twist in the hope you get the message.
To the brightest stars in all the heavens.
Keep shining.
Smile a lot.
Remember to come home and see your mum.
Be good.
And remember.
I love you x
