Pamela Sargent was born on March 20, 1948 in Ithaca, New York. She attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, attaining a master’s degree in philosophy.
She sold her first published story, “Landed Minority” for the September 1970 issue of The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, during her senior year of college.
She currently lives in Albany, New York with author George Zebrowski.
