I’m back in Vegas.
I mentioned in the last Author Notes that we would be heading to Vegas and I was chatting about my blood pressure down in Cabo.
Having been here about a month now, I think I can say that my blood pressure in Cabo is lower because of the lack of stress.
Hard to be stressed when there is practically NO ONE in your community. Here in Vegas, we live in a nice area in Henderson.
Twenty-five minutes door-to-door from my house to entering the Aria Hotel and Casino. It’s not like I’ve stop-watched it or anything.
Twice.
I think part of my stress from living here in Vegas has more to do with having too much to do. Like, which of the restaurants should I go to?
In Cabo, there are a lot of great choices if you are willing to drive up to forty-five minutes over occasionally very bumpy roads. Where I live here in Vegas there are five times as many awesome choices within the same timeframe.
And dozens, if not hundreds, of more restaurant choices within ten minutes that are good enough. In Cabo, I have maybe a dozen restaurants within ten minutes. Hell, it takes seven (7) minutes just to drive out one of the main gates.
I mentioned it was secluded, right?
Fortunately, one of the best Chinese restaurants (again, in my opinion) in Cabo is only five minutes from our house. Thank God.
And we are in Mexico. It’s not hard to find a good place to eat my favorite type of cuisine in the world. Mexican for the win! Also, Mexican Coke. Need I say more? Also perversely, it’s now easier to get Mexican Coke here in America than in Cabo San Lucas, MEXICO.

Thank you for sticking around and (hopefully) enjoying this series. As I mentioned last author notes, my mom Jo Lynn will be joining us in Cabo in just two weeks from today. She is the real reason this series was created.
I’ll have to ask her if she read it. When the audio comes out (I hope the audio comes out), I’ll have to send her a set.
I’ve learned over the years not to get tweaked if someone in my family doesn’t read something / listen to a book I’ve had a hand in. Many in my family don’t enjoy the same types of stories or entertainment I do. It’s ok.
I’ll probably never ask her if she read this series if she doesn’t bring up the subject, but I’ll always be curious. Is sending her a complete set of the books too subtle a hint? ;-)
