  Happy holidays and enjoy!

  DAY 1

  JACOBA SUMMERS

Clinging to Blu’s shoulders, I gasped for breath. The deeper he went, the harder it was for me to hold on. To think, we’d been making love for years. Yet, the thrill, the bliss, the absolute pleasure we both received never waned.

Inside the cellar, his grunts echoed off the cement walls as our bodies beautifully clapped. One minute I was down here to retrieve a bottle of wine. The next, I was hemmed up against the racks, getting the shit fucked out of me.

Glasses of wine fell, creating a mess all over the cellar’s floor. Much like how I was making a mess all over Blu’s dick. He loved it, though.

“My pussy gets better and better, baby,” he praised. “Every single time I’m done, I’m ready to spread you back open and remind you it belongs to me forever.”

“Forever.” On a broken whimper, I came undone. Blu wasn’t too far behind me, unable to hold out no matter how much he wanted to.

Reluctantly, he dislodged us. By the smirk on his face, this was just the beginning.

“Look at this mess we made.” Peering at the broken bottles, I winced at the red liquid and strong stench of vinegar.

“I’ll handle it later. Let’s go shower before everyone gets in.”

Following Blu out of the newly built cellar, I took his hand when he reached out for me as I climbed the spiraling staircase.

Brisk air chilled me to the bone. Giggling at being half-naked in these conditions, I took off running around the house and up the deck’s stairs until I was inside the heated interior of the cabin. Blu came in behind me, chuckling.

“Nobody told you to go out the door with a fuckin’ slip of a dress on.”

“I was supposed to be grabbing a bottle and coming right back inside. We should toast our newest endeavor.” Although I couldn’t toast with anything except cider. The smell of the wine would make me feel like I was actually having a sip.

“And we will as soon as we get cleaned up.”

Inside the cozy bathroom, Blu started the shower and stripped off his clothes. His body hadn’t changed one bit. The only additions to the ink he wore was my name and our children’s names dominating the upper part of his chest. Me and this man were so locked in, a tattoo wasn’t deep enough to seal our union.

“Aight, baby,” he warned. I’d been staring too long.

Blushing, I removed my clothes and joined him in the shower. He washed my back, running the cloth over his name emblazoned between my shoulder blades. Underneath his name was the name of our daughters, Royal and Sky, and our son Steel.

“When we get back home, it’s time to add Baby Blu.”

My heart stilled as I smiled.

“How do you know we’re having a boy?”

“Whether we’re having a boy or girl, Baby Blu sounds pretty cool.”

Turning to face him, I took the washcloth from his hand and began washing his body. We’d trade again in a minute.

  “I agree.”

As we finished showering, Blu and I needed no words to express what we felt for each other. Our love was written all over the other.

Colorado never ceased to amaze me. Magical is what it seemed with its beautiful snow-capped mountains. Snow covered every inch of the ground as far as I could see. As much as I loved Florida, Colorado held a special place in my heart.

After all, it was here where love blossomed amongst the frigid climates.

Coming around the bend of a thicket of trees, Blu shook a few snowflakes off himself and grimaced. The long rifle clutched in his grip caused me to both smile and shake my head. He was covered up to his ears in all-black. The imagery took me back to a time before there was ever a Blu Summers in my world.

I never want to know life without him.

Back then, I was a woman battling private matters which spilled over onto others around me. My parents felt the brunt of me being afraid to speak up. To this day, it was painful to think about those times. If it weren’t for Blu, so many things would’ve turned out different for me.

He was my force and everything that made me a better version of myself.

“The neighbors are gonna think you’re crazy, baby.”

Blu smirked. “I’m sure they have guns just as big as these, sweetheart. You know—bears, mountain lions, and such.”

Tickled, I twitched my nose. “Right.”

Blu and I hadn’t made the trip to speak, nor had anyone been on our doorstep welcoming us to the neighborhood.

In these parts, many just wanted to be left alone. Whether they were here vacationing like me and Blu, or made this their permanent home, no one was really trying to get to know anyone outside of their four walls.

Which was fine with us. Purchasing this vacation home was meant for no one to know about it except our circle. As a collective, this would be our first vacation in the cabin. Although I prayed all went perfect, the forecast called for more snow.

There was so much preparation into spending time here. Snow was tricky, and I put little faith in the news to deliver an accurate forecast. A few snow flurries to them meant a snowstorm to me. Therefore, once the rest of the gang arrived, we would head to the store to stock up on what we needed for the stay.

“Find anything interesting?” I asked Blu as he mounted the stairs of the deck. After cleaning the mess we made in the cellar, he went straight to scoping out the land. He’d been out here the better part of thirty minutes making sure everything was secure.

Although we were on vacation, my man had to make sure our surroundings were secure. This was our first real vacation, and it was going to be spent without security. That in itself brought along some nerves.

Then I met the eyes of the man who single handedly, bare-handed, killed a man because he dared come for someone Blu and I loved. Trusting Blu with everything that concerned me was just easy.

“Nothing to be concerned about, Mrs. Summers,” he said and followed it up with a kiss to my lips.

“I appreciate you for that, Mr. Summers.”

He propped the rifle against the deck rail and hugged me from the back.

“This is one of many trips here. Before long, I’m gon’ make sure you’re comfortable enough to handle a rifle that big.”

I glanced at the rifle, then at him. He’d taught me how to use plenty of guns, but the rifle was just too intimidating.

  “Trust me,” he quipped.

A trilling sound from inside the house drew us both there. On the kitchen table, my phone rang. Blu’s was seconds behind with a call from his parents.

“What you say about putting them on do not disturb?”

“You would never.” I giggled at the expression on his face and answered my phone, knowing full well Blu would never put either of our parents on anything like that.

“I figured I gave you two enough time to get acquainted with your new digs.”

Purposely, I ignored the undertones of her comment with a wry grin.

“All I want to know is, are the decorations up to par?”

A week ago, the cabin was bare of any semblance of the holidays. However, all it took was a phone call to Robin, and she had the place looking like Santa’s secret hideaway. What made me smile was that it was perfectly how I pictured in my dreams.

Running my fingers along the lively green garland adorning the archway of the kitchen, I smiled at how meticulous my mother was in adding the minor details.

“Mom, you did a fantastic job. The place looks great. I have yet to count how many ornaments are on the tree. And I won’t fuss about how daddy got that topper up there.”

“I figured you and the gang couldn’t come to an undecorated cabin. What kind of mess would that be. It’s the holidays and as beautiful as that cabin is, it was naked without a Christmas tree and decorations.”

I chuckled. “You’re right. The guys are gonna attempt to hang some lights outside before nightfall.”

“Oh! I can’t wait to see it!”

“I’ll take plenty of pictures. This is our first time doing anything like this, so I’m gonna make sure we capture as many moments as we can.”

“Oh, Coba. I’m so proud of you, suga.”

“We’re proud of you,” my father intoned from the background.

Snickering, I replied with a grin neither of them could see. “I love you both. If the kids give you a hard time—”

  “Aht, aht,” my father i

nterjected. “They’re not ya concern for the next few days.”

“At all,” my mother added. “Between us, Valentina, and Greyson, the kids will have a holiday vacation they won’t soon forget.”

Sighing, I hoped they wouldn’t spoil the kids too badly.

The alarm system alerted someone entering our driveway. Excited, I told my parents I would call them later and sprinted to the door to meet my circle.

This holiday vacation was going to be fantastic!

  BLU SUMMERS

“Authorities in Denver, Colorado are urging everyone in the state to be on the lookout for two inmates who have escaped a transportation detail yesterday. Both inmates are considered extremely dangerous…”

I exited the news app and told myself to relax. For a few days now, I’d been monitoring news in and around Colorado, checking for any threats that could spoil my wife’s vacation.

Although fully retired now, the agent in me couldn’t help but keep my eyes and ears open to danger. Traveling was already hectic without dealing with unwanted kinks. Besides, I wanted Jacoba to have a stress-free vacation. That meant making sure every fucking thing was in its place.

This was going to be our first full vacation without security. Months ago, Jacoba and I purchased this log cabin in a newly built neighborhood tucked away in the Colorado mountains. Yearly, we went to Colorado to see her parents and over time, I fell in love with the place. Visiting during the holidays was tradition for us. This year we were doing things a little different.

My wife and I, along with King, Tiffany, Grey, and Gianna would be spending five days here. We called ourselves having a couple’s retreat, something I would’ve never done outside of this circle I had. But my love for each of them ran deep. Time had brought us all closer and anytime we were able to, we got together. But those were quick visits and trips that I’d never amount to a real vacation. One where we didn’t have to worry about anything, except eating, sleeping, drinking, and having fun.

This trip would test a lot of shit. Like us being away from our kids for more than one night. Grey, Kingston, and I were too overprotective to allow shit like that. Putting aside our feelings to make sure our wives enjoyed themselves would be hard as fuck seeing as the women were already emotional about it.

Jacoba was doing okay, so far. Once night fell, I knew her mood would change. We never went to bed without tucking our babies in. Truthfully, it was just as hard for me as it was for her. A nigga would never sit up here and act like my family wasn’t my everything. I kicked and punched the air several times a day at the fact that I had life so fucking perfect.

“When y’all said a cabin, I pictured something way smaller than this.”

My brother born by a bond deeper than blood walked into the library and casually glanced around. Although he made my sister a Wells, neither Grey nor I approved that shit. As far as we were concerned, King was really a Summers now.

“It took me a few days to learn the layout too.” We both chuckled as he shook his head.

“I promised Tiff I’d chill the fuck out.”

“It’s all good. We have three of the most important women nestled in a cabin on a mountainside. We’re surrounded by snow and woods. If you think for a second I’m not on high alert, you’re crazy.”

With a smirk, King ducked his head. “Glad we’re on the same page.”

“Aye, big dawg.” Grey came through the door holding up two bottles of wine. “The fuck was y’all doin’ in the damn cellar? I had to watch my step to make sure I’ain step on none of y’all kids.”

King fell out laughing while I mugged my identical twin. Over the years, we’d developed a few gray hairs. I’d charge it to us becoming fathers. It was a different level of stress and care that went into having children. I thought I loved Jacoba to death. But about my kids… I’d look myself in the mirror and kill my own fucking self if I ever broke their heart.

That’s why a nigga could never hurt my wife. Hurting her was hurting everything attached to us. Mistreating her was cutting off my own blessings. I knew enough scriptures to know that my union with Jacoba was sacred enough that I was blessed by having her. Everything around me thrived because I chose to love the fuck out of my woman.

“By the way, you can fit a whole family down there. Let me find out you and Jacoba on some weird shit.”

This time I couldn’t help but laugh. The cellar was spacious, consisting of two compartments. The main compartment held essentials, in case of an emergency. Behind the main compartment was the space leading to the wine racks.

“What me and my woman do in our alone time is our business.”

He griped. “Nah, not while it’s other muhfuckas on the property. I’on wanna hear none of that shit.”

“Aye, as far as I’m concerned, anything goes outchea,” King drawled.

Briefly, I glared at him. I was with Grey on this one. Then again, I planned to fuck Jacoba every opportunity we got.

“Come on, bruh.” Grey looked green in the face. “We definitely don’t wanna hear that shit. Go outside or somethin’.”

Again, King and I were back to laughing. It seemed the older Grey got the more of a fool he became.

“On a serious note,” I started. “Jacoba planned this trip and wants everything to be perfect. We’re gon’ be on our best behavior—” Pointedly, I glanced at Grey. “—And make sure our beautiful wives enjoy these five days without any bullshit. We’re gon’ smile and do whatever the fuck they ask us to do.”

“Don’t we do that anyway?” King chimed in.

“That’s what y’all niggas do. Gianna knows not to play with me.”

  “I know what?”

All three of us snatched our attention to the door where Gianna stood with her hands on her hips.

Grey placed the bottles of wine on the desk and nervously chuckled. Gianna’s hands went from her hips to her arms being folded over her breasts.

“Baby, you know I’m playin’.” Grey approached his wife and took her in his arms. She didn’t reciprocate his hug and instead looked him up and down.

  King and I snickered.

“While you’re in here lying to King and Blu, why don’t you put a smile on your face and go get my duffle bag out of the trunk.”

“Of course, baby.” He kissed her forehead and led her out of the doorway with him.

King shook his head in humor.

“Stop lookin’ so mean,” we heard Grey say.

“Don’t end up having to sleep in the cellar,” Gianna countered.

Grey chuckled. “Damn, it’s like that? It’s cold as fuck outside, sweetheart.”

  “I’ll give you a blanket.”

Their voices trailed off as they exited the cabin.

“You ready to get these lights up? This snow shit ain’t for me, but I’m enduring it for the sake of my woman.”

Standing, I chuckled as I slid my phone into my pocket. “It takes a minute to get used to.”

Jacoba and Tiffany met us in the living room with their purses in hand.

“Where y’all off to?” I eyed my wife.

“Y’all want to eat, right?” she quipped.

“Right.” I dropped a kiss on her lips. “Be careful and be back before the sun goes down.” Although Jacoba knew her way around these parts, the winding roads leading to the cabin could be tricky.

She kissed me this time. “We won’t be gone long.”

“We’ll be back before you guys are done with the lights,” Tiffany said.

“Shiiddd… Y’all might get one string of lights across the front and along the door.”

Tiffany smacked her teeth. “Babe, it isn’t that cold right now—”

“Shittin’ me,” King interjected. “You’re right on one thing, though. It ain’t cold. Snow equates to cold as fuck. I’m dark as fuck and even my nose turns red out there.”

“Anyway!” Tiffany laughed and fell into King’s embrace. When she looked up at him, the blush that stole her cheeks made a nigga proud. If that look ever switched up, King would have to see me.

Then again, his muhfuckin’ ass was bat shit crazy over my sister. As her brother, I couldn’t have chosen a better man for her. King loved and protected Tiffany just like Grey and I would. The best thing King ever did was bombard his way into her life. Standing up to me and Grey wasn’t for the weak. King proved he didn’t give a fuck about either one of us and was intentional about loving our sister. For that, we had to respect him.
