Fate Hollow Academy: Term 2, page 19
“It’s funny that you think I would just sit back and watch. I’m not as into voyeurism as you are.” He prowled forward.
Damien purred. “I know when to be both. If you could see the look of bliss on her face when she’s being pleasured, you’d like it more.”
A realization cut me out of the fog of lust that was clouding my mind. “Damien, you watched Rhett and me together this past weekend, right?”
His lips pulled into another smirk as he bit down on his lip ring. “Are you interested in what I thought of it?”
“Yes, actually, but that’s not my point. Rhett got another letter that said they watched us.” Shame flooded through me at the thought of being watched by someone other than my mates, but I pushed it aside because it wasn’t my fault. “You were watching us too. Did you sense anyone in the room?”
His face blanked for a moment. “Fuck, little bird. You’re right.” He shook his head, flicking his gaze over to Rhett. “I didn’t sense anyone. I know for a fact it’s not a shadow demon. The only way someone could do this…” Damien paused, dropping his hand from my face.
Rhett struck the desk with his fist. “A fucking invisibility charm.”
“They could be in here right now, and we wouldn’t even know,” Damien growled.
I immediately stuck my hands out in front of me and started walking around the room, feeling the air and everywhere around. “The invisibility charm,” I murmured, continuing to move around to feel vacant space. “Does it keep them solid?”
“Yes. They’ll remain corporal.”
“And can we hear them if they were to walk?”
Rhett nodded, and both of them were following my movements with intrigue.
“Then help me feel around and listen for anything weird.”
“So smart, little bird. Just give me a second.” Damien winked at me, and his shadows spread over the room, swallowing it into darkness before pulling back. “Nobody’s here.”
We collectively let out a breath of relief.
“Thank goodness.” I bent over to throw my hair over my head and gather it up before flipping back over and putting my hair in a messy top knot.
Damien rushed forward with his shadows slithering over him as he caged me against the wall. My back hit with a small thud that sent a ripple of pain down my spine. “Now that we know we’re alone, little bird, why don’t we take advantage of that?”
Rhett rolled his eyes from behind Damien’s shoulder, but I could see the hesitation on his face.
“Do you promise we’re alone?” I asked.
“If it’s an invisibility charm, yes. I have no other idea what it could be since they aren’t a shadow demon.” A frown curved onto Rhett’s face, but I held his gaze.
“Then… I’d like to. Only if you’re okay with it, though.”
A rough rumble left his throat. “Really, baby? Do you honestly think that I would turn you down?”
“Not that you would turn me down,” I assured him, and Damien ran his nose down my neck as he inhaled. “Just—ah—maybe you didn’t want to right now because of everything, and that’s okay.”
I wanted to take all the hurt away from Rhett. I knew the letters were messing with his head.
But with the smirk on his lips, I knew the letters were pushed to the back of his mind for the time being. A rush of excitement flooded my veins.
Damien stepped back and used his telekinesis powers to suspend me in the air. I let out a startled sound as he moved me over to Rhett’s desk and laid me out on it before having my clothes practically fly off of me.
Rhett’s and Damien’s hungry gazes were on me, and I shivered at the tension in the air. My body was hot with a heat that only my mates could douse.
Damien stepped forward, and his shadows wrapped around my wrists, binding them together above my head and forcing them against the desk. Each tendril rolled around my ankles before forcing my legs open to reveal the most intimate part of me. I trembled between desire and vulnerability.
“Baby, you’re beautiful,” Rhett murmured.
Both of them were in full demon form with their horns and tails adorning their bodies. Wet heat flared between my legs as they both rested their hands on the desk I was on top of. “Please,” I whimpered, needing to feel one of their hands on me.
“Not just yet, little bird. Show me patience. Can you do that?” Damien tongued his lip rings.
I nodded, drinking both of them in as they undressed in front of me in a slow and seductive manner. Their tattoos did something to me I never thought was possible. I admired the planes and contours of their chests, arms, and shoulders. They were perfection personified.
Damien moved first, covering my trembling body with his. He licked from the spot below my ear, down the length of my body, before he latched onto the sensitive nub between my legs.
I cried out, and my hips bucked up. Another tendril snuck around my stomach and pinned me flush against the desk. Squirming was useless as Damien assaulted me with his mouth.
Tears of frustration gathered in the corners of my eyes. He would get me just to the point of exploding before he stopped. It happened three times in a row before I groaned. “What are you doing?”
“He’s doing the opposite of what I did to you,” Rhett said as Damien’s hot mouth continued working between my legs.
“What do you mean?” I moaned as I was on the edge, but he moved again, making me bite my lip in agony.
“Instead of giving you too much pleasure, he’s getting you to the point right before orgasming before stopping. It’s called edging.”
“Edging? Is it a form of torture?” My voice cracked as I tried to suck in enough oxygen. My body buzzed with a need that I couldn’t get.
Damien chuckled, flattening his palm against my stomach and looking up at me with his lips glistening with my wetness. “Oh, my sweet, innocent little bird. Some could say it’s a form of torture.”
A strangled gasp left my throat. “Don’t ever torture anyone else but me like this!”
His amused mirth vanished. “I would never touch anyone else like this. Only you. Don’t ever think otherwise.”
I was breathless, and my body burned for the release he had yet to give me. “Promise?”
“I promise you my soul.”
“Good. Can you please, um…”
“Please what?”
“Please, let me.”
”Please let you, what?” He smirked, rubbing a circle around my nub.
“Come!” I moaned as tingles shot up my body. “Let me come!”
Damien glanced back at Rhett with a grin.
“That wasn’t so hard, was it, baby?” Rhett asked as Damien’s shadows bit into my wrists and ankles in a deliciously painful way.
With each stroke of his tongue, I came closer to my release, and my body buzzed like a fuse about to combust before he pulled away. “You know, I don’t think I believed you when you said please.” Damien pouted his bottom lip out.
I glowered at him as anger spiked within me. I was bound by his shadows, at his mercy, and I needed him to help me reach my climax.
“Yeah, I agree. It sounded more like a demand rather than begging,” Rhett agreed, and I sliced my glare to him.
“Maybe you can try begging a little more,” Damien suggested with a teasing tone.
My gaze flicked between the two demons, and a low growl ripped from my throat as I bared my teeth. The magical tingle of my ears and tail sprouting out formed with the overwhelming emotions. “I need to come,” I gritted out.
“That’s not begging, little bird.” Damien pushed a finger inside me, and I moved my legs around his neck.
“Please. Please, make me come. I need you,” I whimpered, and tears dripped down my face.
Something switched in his gaze as he leaned forward and nuzzled my breasts before he licked and sucked at them. My nipples tightened painfully hard as his teeth scratched against them. The build up was teetering on the edge, and I let out another desperate plea.
“I think she’s had enough,” Rhett rasped.
“I think so too.” Damien popped off my nipple.
My breathing came in soft pants, and my mind was fogged so much I couldn’t tell if it was Damien’s telekinesis or his shadows that flipped me over the desk.
A smack hit my butt, sending a thrill up my spine as I yelped. “Raise your ass, little bird.” I listened. “Rhett, get under her.”
My eyes widened as I was moved up, and Rhett settled underneath. He caressed my face with his hands gently, and goosebumps raised over my skin. My vision dimmed around the edges. My breasts pressed against Rhett’s bare chest.
I straddled Rhett, but Damien’s fingers gripped my waist as he bent me further forward. I had a difficult time sucking in air as Damien nuzzled the back of my neck and pushed into me from behind.
Rhett captured my lips with his, devouring my moans as I claimed my climax, finally. Damien’s piercing hit a sweet spot on his second thrust, and I writhed between the both of them. My nerves came alive and screamed for more as I gasped out. My whole body was awash with overlapping waves of pleasure.
“More, please,” I cried out.
Damien moaned. “Good girl.”
Mindless ecstasy gripped at me as another orgasm rippled through me. Damien didn’t stop his brutal thrusts for one second.
My mind splintered, shrinking into permanent passion as Rhett moved his hands between us and started playing with my nipples. “These feel amazing,” he groaned, his erection digging against my mound.
Damien thrust deeper, faster, before going still. ”My little bird. I love you so fucking much.”
I slumped against Rhett as Damien pulled out. I felt him leak out of me onto Rhett’s desk, since his legs were spread. Worrying about it getting on him seemed so unnecessary, but the thought was fleeting.
“My turn,” Rhett rasped as my insides throbbed.
I fully straddled him now, and he pushed his heavy erection against my opening. Reaching down, I helped guide him in, feeling the stretch as he settled fully inside.
Our foreheads touched, and our fingers intertwined as he started to move. Deep, sturdy strokes shook me.
Damien stood beside us, stroking the curve of my spine as Rhett thrust into me. Pleasure racked my body with each firm thrust, and I gripped his shoulders to steady myself above him. “Can I try something?”
“Try whatever you want, baby.” He gasped as I straightened, taking him deeper.
I rocked back and forth, in control of our movements. His pheromones flooded into me as I took him, and all three of our scents overwhelmed me. It made my arousal just that much more potent as I moved myself on Rhett’s length. The worries of if I were doing it right left my mind as I chased another climax.
Rhett’s hands palmed my breasts, and his thumbs flicked my nipples as our moans rang out around us. Our skin shimmered with perspiration.
“So fucking perfect,” Damien groaned.
Rhett’s breath rumbled before he stiffened. I watched the muscles in his abdomen convulse as a roar of satisfaction left his lips.
Familiar tension coiled inside me and released in a white hot wave. I cried out and arched my back as his pheromones took over my body and lengthened my orgasm.
Damien caught my head before taking my lips with his. I rode out my release on Rhett as Damien’s tongue slipped into my mouth and tangled with mine. Each moan echoed back from him.
My charged magic from Rhett’s pheromones released into the air, and I collapsed forward onto Rhett. My muscles continued to spasm. “I need sleep,” I croaked.
“Are you sure you’re not up for another round, little bird?”
I mumbled a muffled protest against Rhett’s neck as Damien’s laugh rang out around us.
“Next time, do you think you can take us both at once?” Damien asked.
“You mean…”
“You have two holes for a reason, little bird.”
“Damien!”
“I’m just asking to see if it’s something you’re interested in or not.” His voice sounded inquisitive, but it was hard to tell with the exhaustion seeping into my bones.
“Nothing’s off limits unless I try it and don’t like it,” I murmured.
Excitement shook through Damien’s bond at my answer.
“You’re a goddess,” Rhett whispered.
A strange tug pulled between us, but it left before I could make anything of it. I wasn’t sure what happened after, but I fell asleep with Rhett still inside me as Damien rubbed my back.
TWENTY-SEVEN
Kian
Snow crunched beneath my feet as I wandered through the Bestial Forest. Stars lit up the velvety night sky, and moonlight streamed through the bare branches, lighting my way.
I probably should have woken Lachlan up to come with me, but the urgency of the vision battered my common sense. When the vision rippled through my dream-state—interrupting my sweet dreams of Wren—my magic buzzed, and I woke up with insistence niggling at me.
The feeling of being watched set in again as I reached up to adjust my glasses that had slipped down the bridge of my nose. With everything falling apart at the academy, I worried whatever was out here had bad intentions, but from my vision of the black orb that bounced from branch to branch within the trees, it didn’t seem sinister.
My breath came out visibly as my gaze bounced around the tops of the trees. I had no clue what kind of orb could lurk within a forest, but I knew it was tied to magic.
A small black ball moved from the tree branch above me and plopped onto my shoulder without warning. I froze, careful not to let even a single muscle twitch. It wasn’t heavy, but small appendages dug into my shoulder as it stayed put.
Calmness washed over my magic for the first time since the vision, as I realized it was no orb at all. Instead, there was a black squirrel staring at me with bright green eyes. It tilted its head as if it were trying to communicate with me.
It was strange, but I swore it called out to me. I’d been standoffish with animals ever since the coven had killed my pets as a child, but I couldn’t ignore the excitement that flooded me with this little guy perched on my shoulder.
I was in Fate Hollow, away from the Necromancer Village. Maybe I could let myself talk to it? Talking shouldn’t hurt anything.
“Well, hello there, little one.” Reaching out a trembling finger, I booped it on its nose.
It reached its little paws up to rub its face, and it almost seemed as if it were getting an attitude with me for treating it like a baby.
I laughed as a gust of winter wind blew through, chilling my exposed face and hands. “You’re a strange squirrel for being out on a winter night instead of staying snug in your nest. What’s so important about you that would make me have a vision to meet with you?”
It blinked expectantly at me.
“Are you a boy or a girl?”
It puffed out its chest, narrowing its gaze.
“Boy?”
He nodded his little head before reaching out and booping me on the nose with his cold paw.
“You’re freezing.” I pursed my lips and went to grab him to snuggle him in my coat, but he scurried down my body and sat in front of me.
I dropped to my knees in the cold snow to study the squirrel. He was no doubt adorable. He had a little pink nose and bright green eyes with glossy black fur. I reached out and stroked down his back, and his fur was incredibly soft. He flipped his fluffy tail in an annoyed manner, but he didn’t make me stop either.
So, I continued to pet him. “What are you doing all the way out here?”
He gave me a look like he thought I was stupid.
“I know that squirrels live in the forest, but what makes you so special that I had a vision to come see you in the middle of the night?”
He gave me that same look again before my bag started vibrating on my back. I slung off my book bag and opened it to see my tablet lighting up with my father’s name.
“Hold that thought, little guy. I might want to take this. He’s been calling non-stop for weeks,” I muttered.
The squirrel shook his head like he didn’t want me to take the call.
I frowned. Why wouldn’t I take it? A gut feeling screamed at me to answer it, but the squirrel pushed down on my tablet, and the call ended. “Well, I guess you made that decision for me.”
He nodded with a chirping noise, but my tablet lit up again with my father’s name.
“Sorry. Looks like I really do need to take this.”
He sighed and threw up his hands like I did something stupid again. I hadn’t seen an animal act with such an attitude before.
It crossed my mind that it could be a shifter, and I paused. “Are you a shifter?”
He shook his head, yet again looking at me like I was an idiot.
I frowned. I’ve never seen an animal be able to communicate like this. “You’re not a normal animal, though, are you?”
He shook his head again, and the realization finally dawned on me as he used his paw to answer the tablet key.
My father’s gruff voice rang out against the stark nightlife of the forest in winter. “Kian, you answered.”
“Yes, Father.” My heart pounded frantically in my chest. Talking to my father after my mom died was unpleasant.
He insisted that she wasn’t dead, and that I needed to treat that walking corpse as my mother. But it wasn’t my mom, and it would never be her. My mom was gone, and he wouldn’t accept that. It broke my heart that she was forced to walk around the village like that. If the Necromancers were right and a piece of the soul did survive after reanimation, I could guarantee she wasn’t happy—and that broke my heart even more.
“You need to come home.”
I swallowed hard. “I’m at Fate Hollow Academy. You know I can’t just up and leave.”
“Son, your visions could be of a lot of use to the coven right now. I don’t care what Kalista law states, you need to come home for your community.”
“I care what Kalista law states. You’re not the one that would get in trouble if I were to leave,” I explained.
