Obey, page 11
One to help bring milk into my breasts—the man is obsessed with the idea of drinking from me.
One for any pain I might be feeling and one for anxiety.
All safe for a baby, just in case.
Rubbing my hand across my belly, I’m still a little sad that the test came back negative, though I hadn’t been sure I wanted it to be positive, either. Yes, I want children, but I’m young. I figured I’d have plenty of time to decide, but the sorrow I felt made me feel as though I was failing Adonis, even though he reassured me we had all the time in the world and that he loved me no matter what.
I never could have imagined this man would turn my world around so quickly. But I want everything with him, and that includes giving him the baby he so desperately wants to implant in my belly.
After taking the pills, I brush my teeth and get dressed before heading downstairs to find Sally in the kitchen making waffles. “Good morning, darling. How are you feeling?” I shrug as I pull up a stool to watch her work.
“Can I ask you a question?” She bobs her head, pulling down a bowl and finding what she needs for whipped cream. “How do I know when I’m ovulating?”
“When was your last period?” She doesn’t miss a beat.
I have to think hard about that. “It ended a few days before the robbery.”
“You’d have been ovulating around the time Mr. Lorde had you brought here then. For a few days, you’d have been at your most fertile.” My eyes widen at her explanation. “Tests are wrong all the time, you know.”
Sliding a plate with a large waffle topped with whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries, and bananas over to me, Sally smiles at what I’m sure is my stunned expression.
“Wrong, huh,” I mutter around a delicious mouthful of food. She grins and raises a brow at me, conveying her certainty that this one was.
“I have several more if you’d like one.” Her eyes sparkle with mischief.
“Why do you have several more?” Sally must be in her fifties.
Her shoulder lifts casually as she goes into the pantry. “Adonis asked me to be sure there were a few on hand.” She returns with two different brands and places them next to my plate before dishing out her own breakfast.
“Where is he?” I finally ask. I suspect I know, but I’m not sure I can go down there again.
“Downstairs.” I figured as much.
We finish our breakfast in silence, Blue slowly munching on his own food. He keeps looking up to make sure I haven’t disappeared on him. I knew he was a good boy. The shelter had no idea what they were talking about when they said he’d never make a decent pet. He’s loyal, sweet, and so smart. He’s everything anyone could want in a canine companion.
Grabbing the tests, I gulp down the glass of chocolate milk Sally poured me and push on the hidden wall. “Fingers are crossed for positive!” Sally calls after me.
As soon as I’m down the stairs, I realize Blue has followed after me, and before I can register what’s happening, my loyal companion darts forward, attacking a man lying on the floor, blood dripping from a busted cheek and cut in his head.
“Daddy,” I call out before he can turn around.
“Baby girl, what are you doing down here?” I don’t see my father, and a sliver of worry for the man who never loved me weasels its way past my walls.
“Where’s my father?” I ask instead of answering him.
“Hospital,” Eli grunts as he drags Blue off one of the men from the warehouse. I think he was the one in charge.
Nodding, I slide into Adonis’ side. “So, he didn’t have anything to do with what happened to me?” I need to know.
“No,” Adonis growls, and I think he’s disappointed he didn’t get to kill him, but I’m not sure, and I don’t want the answer. “His only crime was trying to marry you off to that scumbag client of his.” Who is also missing. “He’s at the morgue,” he answers my unspoken question.
“And him?” I nod at the man on the ground. Blue is still snapping and snarling at him, blood staining his face and paws.
“Abdul Karas. Stark hired him to shoot at you. Hired him to kidnap you before I got my hands on him. And he’s been trying to steal some of my territory for years. It’s time his bloodline comes to an end.”
“Sally gave me these.” I hold the tests up, knowing exactly what he’ll want to do. “She said tests are wrong all the time and that I was likely ovulating when Eli and Zak kidnapped me.” It’s been a few weeks since then, so it’s entirely possible I may be pregnant.
“Hey! It was more like a suggested trip that we didn’t give you a choice in taking,” Eli grunts, displeased with my accusation.
“You say potato, I say potahto.” Grinning at the men who have become a better family to me than my own, I stroll back up the stairs and head to our room. I’ve barely made it through the bedroom door before Adonis is on me and carrying me to the bathroom.
“You’re getting mouthy,” he grunts as he pulls my shorts and panties down. I raise an eyebrow and hand him the sticks. Once he’s ripped the packages off and tossed the lids on the counter, I start peeing, and he puts them in the stream before placing them on the counter. After wiping me clean, he pulls up my panties, and washing his hands, he carries me out.
Placing me in the middle of the bed, he lies down beside me. Leaning over, he brushes a finger across my cheek. “How are you?” Tears spring forward at his tender question.
Shrugging, I know better than to lie to him. “Scared,” I reply honestly, hiding my eyes because I know I’ll see pain in his.
“I’m so fucking sorry, baby girl. They never should have been able to get on the property.” I realize that. He’s gone over the security before.
“I don’t blame you or anyone here. I blame them for thinking for even a second that I belong to anyone other than Adonis Lorde.” I glance up at him then, and the fierce look in his eyes steals my breath. “Make them pay, Daddy.”
Slamming his lips over mine, he devours me with an intimate kiss that feels like he’s sucking my soul from my body. I’m on fire in his arms, and I never want to come up for air. His hands pet me like I’m his own little kitten in need of soothing. In some ways, I suppose I am. I need him like I need oxygen to breathe, and he doesn’t hesitate to provide either of us with exactly what we need for the rest of the day.
By the time we come up for air, the night is dark, the bodies in the basement are cold, and the house is quiet. “The tests,” I whisper, and we rush to the bathroom for the results.

ADONIS
Two Years Later.
“Dada!” As soon as I walk through the door, our twin terrors come racing towards me as quickly as their wobbly little legs will allow them. Scooping both boys up in my arms, they wrap theirs around my neck, nearly choking me out.
“You boys been good for Mama?” They might terrorize me, but they are sweet as peach pie for the woman we all worship. Which is precisely how it should be. Pulling back, their little heads nod rapidly up and down. “Good, ‘cause I brought you each a present.” They squeal excitedly. “Where’s Mama?” They point towards the kitchen, and I know exactly where she’ll be.
The pool deck.
Ever since that night two years ago when she was taken from me, I’ve amped up security and installed underground sensors so that when anyone steps foot on the property, the new security tower is alerted. When they’re unsure of where my wife or children are, they come in, weapons first.
Since Soren practically lives near the pool while she’s pregnant, they keep their eyes peeled for any alerts around the back deck.
“Sally will help you get the gifts from my luggage while I go see Mama.” Setting the boys down, they scurry over to my suitcase and wait patiently for the woman they’ve come to call Grandma to help them.
“She’s not feeling well today, Adonis.” Concern quickens my steps.
When I see Soren curled up on the lounger, her umbrella providing shade, and several ice packs surrounding her very round, pregnant body, I try to temper my concern.
“Baby girl.” I crouch down next to her, rubbing my hand across her belly. I love that she’s not too shy to cover up and still wears bikinis despite being nine months pregnant with another set of twins. I will worship this woman’s body until the day I die, and she knows it.
“Mmm, Daddy, you’re home.” Her lips curve into a smile I want to kiss. As soon as our lips touch, the tension eases from her body.
“Sally says you’re not feeling well today?” We have a complete medical staff staying in the guest house for this specific reason. Soren loves being pregnant; her body, however, not so much. Right now, though, I recognize the problem.
“I’m okay,” she says as she rolls into the pillow at her back, which helps support her so she’s not flat. That always seems to be the worst position, and she complains that nothing ever feels as good as when I’m her support.
Pushing the cups of her top away, her swollen breasts immediately start leaking milk. With the new babies coming, she stopped breastfeeding the boys a few months ago so they wouldn’t fight over who got her tits at feeding time. They were okay with being big boys once we got them some special cups to drink from that were exactly like my own coffee cup.
“You going to let Daddy take care of you, baby girl?” I finally get her eyes as she pouts and nods her head. “Good girl.” Slipping a hand between her legs, I latch onto a nipple and suck deeply. Her sweet cream explodes on my tongue, and less than a minute after rubbing her clit, she moans out a release. The combination of me milking her and playing with her sensitive bud always sets her off.
“I missed you, Daddy.” Holding me to her chest as I switch to the other breast and insert two fingers into her tight pussy, I’m incredibly grateful to have found this woman.
There is nothing more perfect than the life she’s given me.
Epilogue
SOREN
Three Years Later.
Grinding my hips back and forth on Adonis’ lap, I know we only have a few more minutes before the children come running in, dying to get their eyes on their brand-new baby sister again.
Two sets of twin boys and one beautiful little girl and we called it quits on children. Adonis got snipped, and I had my tubes tied. We couldn’t be happier with our large family.
“Mmm, Daddy, right there.” He pumps deep inside of me while pushing one of those masterfully long fingers into my ass. It’s been over a month since I’ve been fully with him, and I was desperate for the deep dicking we like.
“Tighten that cunt, baby girl.” I do as he asks, and we both explode in a state of bliss and serenity. I’ll never get enough of my husband. Already, I want to go again, but a faint beginnings of a cry calls to me, and my breasts start leaking before she gets a chance to really get going.
“Here they come,” Adonis chuckles as we hear the sounds of our sons running down the hall. The two older boys try to hush the younger ones as they come to a halt outside our door.
Slipping on my robe, Adonis pulls on a pair of shorts and gets up to grab our princess before the boys come bursting in to feast their eyes on her.
During the entire pregnancy, Adonis was adamant in teaching the boys how best to take care of a little sister and how she should be protected at all costs. They are taking their jobs as her protectors very seriously. It’s now up to me to temper what they have learned with being careful not to overdo it and be her best friends, as well.
As soon as she’s in my arms and latched onto a breast, sucking greedily, my husband opens the door for the boys, and they come piling in. Once she hears them, her eyes drift to the side until they’re in her sights. The four of them gather around me on the bed to watch her, fighting for her attention by making funny faces and whispering all the things they want to do with her once she’s big enough.
At four weeks old, she’s only starting to smile, and as soon as she’s done feeding, she graces them with one, and all five men in my life melt for the tiny six-pound princess in my arms.
If I thought for a second that a bank robbery would lead me to this life, I’d have followed Adonis into that ambulance and never left his side from that moment forward. We’d have had an extra week together.
I can’t bring myself to find regret in our past, however. That week reinforced how little my parents cared for me, and once they were out of my life, I was better for it. Adonis was also able to shake off the cop who had been harassing him for years, and aside from the mess with my kidnapping, we’ve been living in bliss ever since.
Our life is…perfect.

Predator
KINGS OF NEW YORK
She’s too innocent. I should walk away. But I don’t, I won’t.
Predator is book 4 in USA Today Bestselling Author KL Donn’s Kings of the Underworld series.
Della O’Neill…
Young. Beautiful. Clueless.
I should stay away from her.
Keep my distance and walk away.
But I’m drawn to her. To her light.
It’s constantly shining around her.
Despite the darkness lurking in her eyes.
And then it happens…
She shines that light on me and the decision is made.
Della is mine.
Holy Sinclair is nothing like his name.
He’s evil personified–darkness and hatred.
I should be running…screaming, away from him.
But I can’t.
I get a look into his eyes, see into his soul, I touch his skin, and it happens… Like it always does.
He has no idea, nobody does.
It’s my secret. My shame.
You see, I’m an empath.
I can take your pain, absorb it into my flesh and in return, I give you my light.
I give Holy a taste of it.
And now he wants more.
Who am I to turn him away?
He’s the predator, I’m his prey, and I’m not doing a damn thing to stop him from catching me.
Chapter One
DELLA
Pulling the heavy drapes open in my crafting room, I’m enveloped in the warmth of the sun as it bounces off the water from the family pool and cascades around me like a warm hug. For so long I was afraid to open the curtains in here. Afraid to be seen. Of being watched by him.
But he’s gone. Or I think her is.
I hope he is.
I don’t know why I know this, only that when I awake in the mornings I no longer feel suffocated by the dread that he’ll spot me during the day. That he’ll follow me to the craft market and inevitably touch me.
A touch that feels like a burn.
A touch that will infuse my entire body with what he’s feeling towards me. Sometimes it’s anger and pain. Other times it’s sexual and makes me vomit. The one consistency is that I always know what will happen if ever gets his hands on me.
Death.
I feel it in the air when he’s around me. His hatred for me runs to the very core of who he is as a person. He’s out to hurt me. Hurt my father. And after our last encounter, over two months ago, I knew my time was nearly up.
Yet, today feels like a rebirth of the world around me and I’m not sure if it’s because my father, Carter O’Neill, one of the Kings of New York, has hired someone new to protect me or if it’s because my tormentor is truly gone.
Since today is my one day a week that I go to the market, I suppose I’ll find out. My supplier called yesterday to let me know the mini labradorite protection crystals have finally arrived. I paid a hefty sum to have them cut to the specifications I needed for the necklace and matching rings I have planned to make.
“Della,” my fathers commanding but soft tone comes from the doorway of the room. “You opened the curtains.” Turning, I smile at the man who has never hesitated to love me since the day I was dumped in his lap at three years old.
“I feel relief.” I tell him and one of his rare smiles appears. Until recently, I was the only one who was ever gifted with one. But now there’s a girl he’s grown…obsessed is the only word to describe what he feels for her. “Cece is coming with me today.” I admit, she’s a nice girl. She still has a final year of high school left, but today she’s playing hooky to come with me. Cece is super smart and has already skipped a grade, so I don’t worry too much about her missing class in the first few days back to school.
“She needs to be in school Della.” The growl in his voice has me biting my lip. My dad is obsessed in a stalker kind of way with the young woman. And to top it off, he’s pissed that she is so damn young. Once she turns eighteen, I just know I’ll have to push them together.
“We’re meeting at lunch. She’ll miss two classes.” His scowl deepens.
Pointing a finger at me, he grunts, “Don’t get attached.” And storms off.
He’s right. Despite constantly trying to protect myself from people, I get attached to the ones I love and let in. CJ Cavanaugh and her sisters are the only ones who have never disappointed me. I know Cece because of Odette Sinclair and I felt an instant connection to the young girl. I can feel her pain like a mirror of my pain. She needs someone who will be there for her. Lord knows her mother isn’t. The woman is as selfish as they come.
Hearing determined footsteps from the hallway, I take a peek out to see who is here and gasp when I see Holy Sinclair. That man is the most obnoxious male I’ve ever met. He’s also the only person I’ve never been able to get a read on.
