Authors’ Note
We want to thank you so much for coming along on this ride with us and finishing this series. We loved writing Bliss’s story, and watching her grow into the best version of herself. We hope you love reading it.
For everyone who has read our Gentlemen series, you know that we like to leave some plot lines open-ended to allow room for the possibility of further books within the same world.
This is the last book for Bliss. She and her alphas will 100% get their Happily Ever After.
For certain other characters…this isn’t their story.

What is Omegaverse
The Omegaverse (or A/B/O dynamics) is a speculative alternate reality where humans live in a wolf-like hierarchical social system, and take on some lycan traits such as scenting pheromones, mating for life and forming packs. People are unsure of their designation until they transition to either an alpha, beta, or omega.
The alphas tend to be larger, more athletic and more aggressive than regular humans. They have the most prominent animal instincts, and are the elite of society. Omegas are rare and physically delicate. They are the perfect biological mates to alphas, and the only ones who can have alpha or omega children. Betas are the most common designation and are essentially average humans.
There is no magic in this book. While the alphas, betas and omegas may have some animalistic instincts and practices, they are not shifters or werewolves.

CHAPTER 1
Ares
“Iwill fucking kill you if you’ve hurt her.” My bark rang around the small windowless room, useless against the beta wearing military-grade ear protection.
Officer Asshole bent over and banged his fists on the steel table between us. His eye twitched, and a muscle ticked in his jaw. “Why did you kill Alpha Carver?”
I smirked at him. “You keep asking that like you’re going to get a different answer.”
“You’re cocky for someone in a holding cell,” he said, straightening to his full height. He’d started out clean-cut, but in the hours I’d been in here, he’d disintegrated. His face had grown a ruddy red, and his once-styled hair drooped to the side and revealed his thinning hairline.
I leaned back in the hard chair as far as I could go with my hands cuffed to the table in front of me. I was going for a bored look, and by the way a red flush crept up Officer Asshole’s face, I’d say it was working. “You don’t have enough to keep me here.” My voice came out on a low growl that had the hairs on his arms standing up. “Tell me where she is.”
I leaned forward and stared him down. He might not scent my pheromones, but he sure as shit could see the danger.
He glanced between my hands and my face and took a small step back. His fear burned my nose, like salt and cranberries. “Why? So you can kidnap her again?”
“You would think that. Fucking brainwashed, idiot.”
“You’re telling me you didn’t break into Alpha Nero’s place? Grab the omega and take off with her?”
“Bliss.”
“What?”
White lines formed on my knuckles as my fingers curled into fists. “Her name is Bliss.”
The officer rocked back on his heels and rubbed his palm over his face, pushing his hair back. He let out a breathy sigh. “Whatever. We’ve told Alpha Nero we found her. He’s had the entire precinct looking for his omega.”
A growl ripped through me. She was our omega. Visions of Nero’s body limp, on the floor coated in blood, had my own blood humming. “Let me see her.”
“Kid, you murdered a guy in a bathroom.” He sounded almost incredulous. “You’re never going to see the omega again. Hell, you aren’t ever getting out of here.”
I jumped out of my chair, hands colliding with the table. “That guy tried to fucking attack her.”
I sucked in a breath and reined myself back, sitting down. Our lawyer would kill me if I said anything to incriminate myself. My metal chair grated on the floor as I shifted and kicked my feet on the table. My pose was relaxed, but my voice was edged. “Whoever killed him did the world a favor.”
Officer Asshole shook his head and knocked on the door, and a beta opened it from the outside. The officer turned back to look at me. “You’re going to jail, and the pretty omega is going back to her mate. Whatever finders keepers right you think you have to her, you’re wrong.” He stepped through the door and snipped at the younger officer. “Get him to the cell.”
Anger rippled through me. The only alphas Bliss was going back to was us.
Where the fuck are they?
I cracked my knuckles as I paced around the small, cagelike room. After the pointless interrogation, the Institute threw me in what was effectively a drunk tank while they worked on the paperwork to charge me.
Good luck with that.
You didn’t get where we were without the right connections.
I leaned against the wall, resting my head back on the salmon-colored cinder blocks, and tried to even out my breathing. I’d been stuck in here for hours, and I was about to kill someone if I didn’t find out what the hell was happening to Bliss.
The fucking Institute was integrated into every level of government, manipulating and controlling the alphas and omegas.
And we fucking helped them.
I hit my head back against the wall hard enough to make my teeth chatter.
Fuck. Energy crawled under my skin as my fight instincts threatened to take over the longer I was stuck in here. I tugged on my hair and walked around the small room.
One of the three low-strength alphas huddled on the steel bench lining the wall attempted to stand and slurred his words. “Stop fucking pacing. You’re creeping me out.”
A spark flashed through me, and the bitter stench of cranberries burned my nose when I turned my attention to him. The alpha pheromones I threw off were enough to have him stumbling back into his friends.
My lips tipped up in the corner. Thought so.
There was a darkness rolling off me in waves ever since Bliss’ panic pierced through the bond a few hours after we got here. Since then, there had been a constant dull pit in my stomach that I wasn’t sure was hers or mine.
I rubbed my hands over my face, digging my palms into my eyes. Why the fuck would she give herself up? Could she really still have doubts? After everything that happened last night, the way she fit perfectly between us as we each took her, she had to have known things were different. That we would’ve protected her.
Fuck, there wasn’t one of us that wouldn’t die for her. We were finally figuring things out.
Then I had to fuck it up again by killing that alpha in the gas station. The only saving grace was they clearly didn’t know about the rich fucker we’d killed directly after that.
I wouldn’t regret it though. Anyone who came close to Bliss was a dead man.
We had years to atone for, and we’d been doing a shit job of it. No one had fucked up more than me. I raked my fingers through my hair and tugged on the ends until my scalp ached. Anything to take my mind away from what was happening to Bliss.
I knew she was in the police station. So close. Too close.
I cracked my neck and did another lap, my boots sticking to the piss-stained holding cell floor. She shouldn’t be here at all. I trembled as another wave of her fear rocked through me, and a low, menacing growl rumbled my chest. My alpha instincts drove me to go to her to comfort our omega.
I clenched my teeth and slammed my fist into the cell door. I couldn’t just sit here. The guys were taking longer than they should’ve to bail us out, and it took all my willpower not to fuck this up even more by ripping the door off its hinges.
I sucked in a breath as a low rumble formed in my chest. I was going to get her home and chain her to her goddamn bed if she did anything like this again. The need to protect her rivaled with the ultimate desire to sink my teeth deep into her neck and finally claim her as ours.
I was such a fucking idiot. I’d spent the last four years angry that we let her go. Then, the second I got her within reach, I pushed her away. I was fooling myself by pretending to be selfless. I was fucking scared.
Scared I’d ruined everything.
Scared she’d never forgive us.
Terrified she’d never look at us the same way.
I was the leader back then. It was my responsibility to keep us all in line, and I fucked up, and we all paid for it.
Then I kept fucking up every day since then.
The guys—my pack—had been putting up with my bullshit for years.
They’d all lost themselves to climbing up the ranks in the Alpha Lupi, but I let myself go. Couldn’t stand the idea of being happy if she wasn’t with us. Instead, I shut down, turned cold. I did everything necessary to get her back, but I never thought it would happen. It was a dream I was chasing. Never in a million fucking years was she supposed to take us back.
Not our Bliss. Not after she’d looked at me with huge pleading eyes, begging me to tell her it wasn’t true. That we didn’t call the Institute to take her. That we weren’t sending her away like we promised we wouldn’t.
But we were.
The desperate, destroyed look she gave us as she fought against Killian’s bark had imprinted in my mind. It haunted my nightmares. Always her walking away, begging me to not let her go. Biggest fucking mistake of my life.
Everything was going to change now. By some sheer miracle, we had another chance, and I wasn’t fucking this one up. The second we all got home, I’d lay this all out. I was fucking wrong. About all of it. Last night was only the beginning. I knew we had a long way to go until we were back to where we were. First thing was no more secrets. Keeping things from Bliss inevitably blew up in our faces. We wanted to keep her out of it, but now that we’d learned more about the Institute and the shit she went through…
Just another fuckup in a string of fuckups.
I didn’t give a shit what the guys said now. We’d tell her about working with the Institute. Being the blocker supplier. We couldn’t continue to keep things from her.
She’d be pissed, but if it came from us, if we explained why, we could work it out. We just needed to get her home.
Shouts came from the other side of the door, Rafe’s unmistakable bark so dominant it had the alphas beside me cowering.
Fucking finally.
The second the doorknob turned, I yanked it open. The beta officer stood there scowling like he’d eaten something sour. “This is total bullshit, but you’re free to go.”
I grabbed him by his collar, and his breath came out in a rush as I slammed him into the wall. The blue plugs in his ears stopped him from being commanded, but his body still vibrated with my alpha bark. “Where is she?”
The room filled with the smell of sour cranberries, and the officer stared at me with wide eyes. Fucking useless.
I dropped him, not bothering to slow his descent, and took off down the hallway. The walls were lined with doors, and my shout reverberated in the corridor.
“Bliss?”
She didn’t answer, and panic rose inside me at the thought of not finding her.
“Bliss!”
I caught the faint hint of jasmine growing stronger as my feet ate up space.
A snarl vibrated my chest as I stopped in front of a black steel door. The nameplate said “Interrogation room.”
I would fucking kill them.
“Open the fucking door.” I slammed my fist against the metal surface.
Nothing came from the other side. No attempt to open the door, no whispers, not even the sound of shifting.
I pressed my face closer to the doorjamb and breathed in through my nose. Bliss’s honey, jasmine, and pepper scent whipped around my head, and I slammed my shoulder into the door.
“Bliss. Answer me.”
Bliss’ sweet scent grew acidic, only to be overpowered by the scent of cigars and whiskey. Nero.
My heart pummeled my rib cage as I struggled to take my next breath. “Bliss, Love. Answer me.”
The guy’s pounding feet took up the hall, but all I could do was take in the smell of Bliss’ panic. It was so quiet. Too fucking quiet.
Rafe came up to my side. “What’s happening?”
I ignored the bark rolling off his voice. At this point, I didn’t think he could help it. Not after years of me fucking around and forcing him into the role of pack leader. I could’ve helped him if I wasn’t so far up my own ass.
I moved away from the door so Rafe could get closer. “She’s not fucking here.”
Rafe sucked in an audible breath and stiffened. A muscle ticked in his jaw, and his fists opened and closed, barely containing his reaction. There was no mistaking the smell of the asshole that tried to buy her.
“Hey!” An officer came running after Rafe. “Hey! You can’t be in here.”
Killian and Nox came running up behind the beta. They both looked worse for wear. Nox wasn’t wearing his coat or vest. His signature white shirt was wrinkled and unbuttoned halfway. Killian wasn’t much better. He looked like he was still wearing the clothes he threw on this morning.
“Where the fuck is she?” Rafe’s growl had the officer stumbling back. A police station should really hire only alphas. Even if they wore special bark-proof ear protection, it clearly wasn’t fully effective. Or it just wasn’t effective against high-powered alphas like Rafe.
“She’s gone.”
My ribs compressed around my lungs as I struggled to take my next breath. Fuck no.
I grabbed the officer and pulled him forward. “Open the fucking door.”
The officer stumbled through the motions. His keys rattled around, and I did my best not to bark at him again. I didn’t want to break him, but he needed to hurry the fuck up. Right the fuck now.
The door swung wide, and I pushed the beta out of the way. The room couldn’t have been over ten by ten. Light gray walls and a steel table in the center. A mirror image of the room I’d been shoved into hours earlier. The only thing left of Bliss was her panic.
Cranberries burned my nose as Killian lifted the officer by his neck. Beating up the police was a lot even for us, but we’d deal with those consequences later. Nothing a few good bribes couldn’t take care of.
“What the fuck did you do to her?” Killian’s fingers tightened around the beta’s neck, the scent of iron rolling off him in waves.
Nox pulled back on Kill’s shoulder. “Back off. Give him room to tell us.”
Killian’s grip loosened, and he took an enormous step. The sharp smell of piss hit me hard as the beta shook. “Her alpha came and got her.”
Our growls blocked out his next words, and Nox’s fist collided with the officer’s face. “He’s not her fucking alpha.”
The beta slumped to the floor, out cold. A smirk twisted my lips. “What happened to ‘back off’?”
Nox glanced back at me as we stepped over the officer and made our way toward the reception desk. His lip curled. “I didn’t like his answer.” Nox gave the administrator at the front desk a card for our lawyer and followed us into the parking lot, never once looking up from his phone. “Nero’s mansion’s the closest. If he took her anywhere, I’m betting there.”
They illegally parked the van in front of the building, two of its tires sitting on the curb, half over the sidewalk. “Where’s Wes?”
Rafe gave me a knowing look. “He stayed back with Flora.”
I shook my head. Wes had no idea what he was getting himself into. He was already falling all over himself for her. He was going to get his heart shattered when she fell for some alpha. I was intimately familiar with having my heart ripped out.
I didn’t get three steps around the van before Rafe was gripping my arm. His gaze bored into mine. It had been years since we’d really looked at each other. Not without me trying to pick a fight.
