Soft-Killed: A cyborg whose body is rendered inoperable, but whose brain and database are intact.
Surrogate Interrogation: A special interrogation technique employed by intelligence agencies and, rarely, by police forces involving the resurrection of a Saved personality into a compliant, surrogate brain that has no resistance to being questioned. The controversial process is considered to be highly invasive.
Vira (Virtual Assistant): This program is built in to all cyborgs and into many electronic devices. When networked, it can tap into public databases and into a cyborg’s own computer memory to retrieve and synthesize information.
