The group all ran to where the smoke was coming from. There was shouting and panicking as they saw that all of their cars were on fire.

“That car was a birthday present!” Samantha shouted.

“Now, we’re stranded here.” Kyle panicked.

“Hey. Has anybody noticed that something other than grandmother is missing? Like Holly?” Louise asked as she looked around the group.

Everybody looked at one another and shrugged their shoulders.

“Well, where was she the last time anyone saw her?” Lewis asked.

“She said she was going to the bathroom.” Louise said.

The group headed back into the farmhouse and towards the bathroom.

“I have a bad feeling about this.” Annalise mumbled to Kayleigh.

The group headed slowly into the bathroom with Shane leading the way.

  “Oh, my god.” Bradley gasped.

Samantha and Louise both screamed as they saw Holly’s corpse, against the toilet, with the butcher knife dangling out of her mouth.

  Chapter Twelve

An owl hooted loudly as dark clouds began to roll in over the farm. The group were all in the living room, some downing whiskey shots, as they had yet another victim on their consciences.

“I can’t believe this is happening to us.” Kayleigh shivered. Her right hand shook slightly as she downed a whiskey shot.

“We’re not stranded here though.” Shane said as he leant on the doorway, with his arms folded.

“What do you mean?” Lewis asked.

“Well, we could just walk down the driveway. The main road isn't really the busiest road going but, it'll lead somewhere more safer than this farm.”

Jess let out a gentle smirk like she had thought of that bright idea herself. How humorous of Shane.

“It was you who arranged us all to come here in the first place, Shane.” Samantha said.

Shane turned to look at Samantha. He raised his eyebrows.

  “Excuse me?”

“You lured us all to this farm and now, you're trying to act like the hero by telling us the realism of how we could get out of here.”

“I won’t take accusations from you, Samantha.”

“She has a point, Shane,” Jess said, as she stood up, “you were here before any of us with your grandmother. And then she goes missing after the farmhands have been murdered. Coincidence?”

Shane stuttered, “What? You can’t be serious. You think that I organised all of this to happen?”

“That’s damn well what I think you've done.” Samantha said.

“Well, if I organised these murders,” Shane began before he looked at each suspect individually, “which one of you is the murderer?”

Everybody looked at one another, each trying to avoid eye contact. It seemed that the accusations had backfired. Or was Shane just really good at deflecting the attention off himself?

“What about you, Jess?” Shane asked.

  “What about me?”

  “Well, you're not Kayleigh’s friend. You're just Annalise’s sister.”

  “Oi, steady on.”

“So, why are you even here?”

“Annalise invited me along. I did check with Kayleigh first.”

Shane looked over at Kayleigh, who nodded her head to agree with Jess.

“I still find that highly suspicious.”

“Actually, I do think it is a little coincidental about Annalise and Kayleigh being here.” Louise piped up.

“Why would we want to murder you all?” Annalise asked as she sat with her arms folded.

“I don’t know. Maybe to claim the farms for yourselves somehow. It does make sense giving that you're sisters and could be wanting to start your own business. And what better way than to take over an already established one.”

“I really hope you can come up with something better than that.” Annalise chuckled.

The Moorfire’s looked at each other, hoping that one of them would try and think of another motive.

Jess scoffed before she stood up and stormed out of the room. Shane side eyed her before smirking every so slightly. Not enough for anybody to notice. Annalise walked out of the room to and headed for the kitchen. Shane then left the room, saying he was going to the bathroom.

Jess headed towards the downstairs bathroom. She wiped a tear from her right cheek before sniffling. As she put her right hand on the bathrooms door handle, a butcher knife sliced the back of her hand. She screamed and jumped backwards to see the Demon Farmer next to her. Jess held her bleeding hand as she backed away. The Demon Farmer titled its head to its right before raising the butcher knife in the air.

The others gasped and all jumped to their feet when they heard Jess’s scream echo. Annalise rushed out of the kitchen and joined the others, including Shane, to see blood on the floor, in front of the bathroom door. But, there was no sign of Jess.

  “Well, where’s Jess?” Samantha asked.

“I haven't seen her.” Annalise said.

“I didn't see her either.” Shane said as he folded his arms.

“Why would the killer kidnap her or murder her and take the body?” Samantha wondered.

“I find it convenient that Annalise and Shane weren't in the room either when Jess screamed.” Louise said.

“Yeah but neither was Kyle or Lewis.” Samantha said.

Kyle and Lewis looked at each other with slight scowls and pouts upon their faces.

“I suggest we make a run for it. We’ll be safer the further we get away from this farm.” Kayleigh said.

“We’re not all here though. If we were then I’d be out of here in a flash. But, my sister has gone missing now.” Annalise said as she placed her hands on her hips.

“I agree with Annalise.” Samantha said.

Annalise looked like she was about to pass out from Samantha actually agreeing with her on something.

“Until I’m proven otherwise, I am believing that our grandmother is alive. And when she returns, she is not going to be welcomed home by murdered bodies.”

The others looked at each other with different scowling looks. There was no-one who was trustworthy anymore. They were all suspecting each other. Even the closest ones.

  Chapter Thirteen

“Jess?” Annalise called out as she shone a torch around the back of the farm.

She and the rest of the group were all shining torches and calling out for Jess and Mrs Moorfire.

  “Jess?” Annalise bellowed.

“Jesus, Annalise.” Shane whispered as he rubbed his left ear.

“What? We’re not going to find her if we keep quiet.”

“What if she can’t answer us though? She could be bound and gagged for all we know.” Shane thought, putting the thought into Annalise’s head.

“We’re going to find her either way.”

“Annalise, I’ve been wanting to speak to you about your prom.” Shane said nervously.

“There’s no need to discuss it. It’s forgotten about.” Annalise said as she squinted her eyes.

  Shane inhaled deeply. “Annalise, I…”

“Hey, you two! Over here!” Lewis shouted.

Annalise and Shane ran over to where the others were. They had seemed to have found a graveyard. A fairly new graveyard by the looks of it. The graves were all empty and the headstones looked very new indeed.

“What the hell?” Kyle asked within a slight whisper.

The group looked closely at the headstone. Bradley gasped and put his hands over his mouth when he saw one of the names.

“They’ve all got our names on them.” Samantha said.

“Besides Annalise and Jess.” Louise pointed out.

“Well, maybe that could be because the killer didn't know that we were coming here. The killer wants the Moorfire’s dead for some reason. But, why?” Annalise said.

“That’s a good analysis, Annalise. But, I don’t think that takes you or your ‘missing’ sister off the suspect list.” Samantha scoffed.

Annalise rolled her eyes before she stepped backwards slightly. The ground suddenly collapsed from underneath her.

“Annalise!” Shane shouted as Annalise screamed and fell down a dirty tunnel.

Annalise continued to scream until she landed in a dark room as Shane laid on the ground up above, still shouting her name.

“I know where she is.” Shane panted as he jumped to his feet and started to run back towards the farmhouse.

Annalise groaned as she lifted her head up slightly to see if she could try and make out where she was.

Shane panted heavily as he ran into the farmhouse. He ran into the kitchen and opened the basement door. Suddenly, the lights went out.

  “Annalise?” He called out.

  There was no reply.

Shane used his hands to feel around for the cutlery drawer. He yelped slightly as he cut his right index finger on the butcher knife he was searching for. He headed down the basement stairs, with the butcher knife held up above his head.

The rest of the group walked around the darkened farmhouse, each going into different rooms. No-one knew what they were all aiming to do but, they probably hoped that one of them would be able to make the light turn back on.

Bradley was walking around the living room, feeling around for the furniture. He suddenly heard the sound of something metal scraping across the ground.

  “Hello?”

The scraping sound came to a halt.

  “S-Shane?”

Bradley let out the slightest of screams as a sledgehammer smacked him in the right side of his face. He landed on his chest as the Demon Farmer dropped the sledgehammer on the floor and walked away.

Louise had made her way upstairs and was looking around one of the bedrooms. As she turned around, the lights turned back on, and she screamed when she saw her reflection in a mirror. Louise chuckled to herself before her face turned to fright when the Demon Farmer appeared behind her. The Demon Farmer grabbed Louise, by her ponytail, and smashed her face into the mirror. Louise screamed and landed on the floor, with cuts across her face. The Demon Farmer picked up a shard of glass before placing it right next to Louise’s right eye socket.

“Please, no.” Louise begged as tears merged within the blood upon her face.

“I’ll carve those tears out.” The Demon Farmer’s deep voice said.

Louise squealed as the Demon Farmer stuck the shard of glass into her right eye socket. The Demon Farmer held her face still as they twisted the piece of glass. Blood squirted onto the hands of the Demon Farmer as Louise’s squeals got higher, before her right eye fell out of he eye socket. The Demon Farmer chuckled before slitting Louise’s throat and pushing her body backwards.

Annalise groaned as she sat up and held her hurting right wrist. She looked around to see where she was. It looked like she was in some sort of basement. A basement that certainly hadn't been used for years, judging by all of the cobwebs and dust that it inhabited. Annalise clambered to her feet slowly before walking forwards. Suddenly, a corpse fell in front of Annalise causing her to fall backwards. She screamed when she released who's corpse it was. It was Mrs Moorfire’s.

Kyle was running around the farmhouse, calling out for Louise, who he’d heard screaming. He ran into the living room before slipping on Bradley’s blood. He backed away, whilst screaming, when he saw Bradley’s half squashed face.

Samantha ran down one of the upstairs corridors before she stopped outside the room, where Louise’s corpse was.

“Oh, my god.” Samantha gasped as she saw what the killer had done to Louise’s face.

Shane walked through the basement before he found Annalise and saw his grandmothers corpse.

“Oh, my god. Are you okay?” Shane asked as he knelt down and hugged a crying Annalise.

Annalise put her hands onto Shane’s macular arms. She was starting to feel slightly safe until she had a chilling thought.

  “Shane?”

  “Yeah?”

“I’m sorry about your grandmother but, how did you know where I instantly was after I fell through the ground?”

Shane’s eyes widened. Maybe it was time to come clean.

“I err… I knew about the tunnels running underneath the farm because I did research on the farm. I don’t think my grandmother even knew about them.”

Annalise let go of Shane and inhaled deeply. “Shane, are you the killer?”

Shane stood up and helped Annalise to her feet also.

“Annalise, I’m not the killer. I have no motive to harm my relatives.”

“But, what is motivating the killer to kill your relatives?”

“I don’t know but with my grandmother now being confirmed to be dead, I’m ninety-nine percent sure it’s something to do with owning this farm.”

“And you really think that one of your relatives would kill you all off just to claim the farm as their own?”

“Yes, I do actually.” Shane nervously chuckled.

  Chapter Fourteen

Kayleigh snuck out of the kitchen whilst looking around for the killer. She held a butcher knife in her right hand. She had to use both of her hands to hold it due to her shaking in fear. There was no telling where anyone else was or who was dead or alive. As Kayleigh was about to walk in the living room, Kyle walked out causing her to scream and nearly stab him.

“Woah! Woah! Woah!” Kyle panicked as he held his bloodstained hands out.

“Kyle? Why is there blood on your hands?” Kayleigh asked as she pointed the butcher knife at him.

Kyle looked at his hands before looking up at Kayleigh.

“It’s Bradley’s blood. I found him dead in the living room.”

“What did you do to him?” Kayleigh asked as her hands shook.

  “It wasn't me. I didn't murder him.”

Kayleigh didn't believe Kyle. There was no proof that he did murder Bradley but, there was also no evidence that he didn't murder Bradley.

“How can I believe what you say?” Kayleigh asked.

“Just put the knife down, please.” Kyle said as a tear slowly ran down his right cheek.

Kayleigh inhaled deeply before she lowered the butcher knife. Kyle’s eyes looked pleaded for Kayleigh to believe him. Eventually, she did and chucked the butcher knife on the closest sofa to herself.

Shane and Annalise walked up the basement stairs, still discussing the suspects.

“So, if we’re presuming this killer is murdering for the sake of the inheritance.” Shane began.

“Then the killer is more than likely the most money hungry relative currently at this farm.”

The Demon Farmer dragged Jess’s corpse to the top of the stairs. They then took out their butcher knife and sliced open Jess’s stomach.

Shane opened the basement door slowly before peering around to see that the coast was clear. He held Annalise’s left hand and they headed through the kitchen. As they walked towards the bottom of the stairs, they heard thumping. Annalise gasped and screamed as she and Shane saw Jess’s corpse roll down the stairs, with her intestines wrapped around the upstairs post. Annalise continued to scream as she fell to her knees. Shane gasped as he looked at how brutal this murder was. The intestines were dripping with blood and the Demon Farmer was stood at the top of the stairs, waving.

“You might as well unmask yourself, Lewis.” Shane growled.

The Demon Farmer tilted their head slightly to their right. Suddenly, Lewis yelled as he dived onto the Demon Farmer’s back. Shane gasped as Lewis and the Demon Farmer went falling down the stairs, with Jess’s intestines bouncing up and down like a tightrope. Shane pulled Annalise away from Jess’s corpse as Lewis and the Demon Farmer hit the ground. Lewis tried to grab the Demon Farmer’s mask but he was head butted. Shane ran for the Demon Farmer to get stabbed in his right thigh. Shane groaned in pain as he collapsed to the ground.

“Annalise, get yourself and Shane out of here!” Lewis shouted.

Annalise ran over to Shane and started to drag him away.

The Demon Farmer and Lewis both clambered to their feet before preparing to have a standoff.

Annalise dragged Shane into the kitchen, with a lot of effort and exhaustion.

“Keep your hands tightly on your thigh.”
