  If you’re looking for more Uriel & Bel, try Puddles in the Pavement.

  Or Pride’s Treasure, where the main character is you!

  Cecilia is back in The Cursed Bones of Sergeant Boom! which is free and exclusive to members of the 13 Club.

  Read on for a message from Armando…

  A Message from Armando

  Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed our story. It’s not over yet. You can catch our little cameos across the Cascade Apocrypha storyworld, and we’ll be back in Bram and Feltham’s story, which makes my heart ache, even though Bram won’t let me read the saucy bits.

  * * *

  If you enjoyed this book, I’d love it if you left a review. Just don’t make fun of Abaddon’s fear of spiders, all right? He won’t like it, and nobody wants a visit from a vampire necromancer in the middle of the night.

  * * *

  If you haven’t already, I hope you find the soul who sets yours alight. And if you have, count yourself lucky. I do.

  * * *

  With Warmest Regards,

  * * *

  Armando Rose

  P.S. Cecilia is sorry for her pocket diving and will return your valuables forthwith.

  A Note from the Author

  If you’re wondering where you can find more of these characters, I have a list of other stories in which they can be found (character significance varies). To keep it simple, the links only appear once even if the books is mentioned several times.

  FYI: This book is set just south of where I was born, in the east end of London. I’ve set a few books around this area because I love the history of it. In this story, Armando escapes a corpse rising from the Thames right beside a pub that has stood on its banks for over 500 years. In Earth Render (13 Club exclusive serial), Caw Fenlock lives on a houseboat at St Katharine Docks. In Puddles in the Pavement, Uriel and Bel live on Nightingale Lane, a stone’s throw from the old London Docks, where the basin is now filled in, and Nightingale Lane was knocked down to make way for Thomas More Street (bleurgh!)

  I talk about things like this in the bonus content over at the 13 Club, so if research tidbits are your thing, come and join us over there.

  You can find the bonus scenes and extra bonus content for all my books there too.

  Thanks again for reading.

  Stay safe, my friend,

  About the Author

  Inka York is an inventor of worlds, slayer of biscuits, and destroyer of tea.

  * * *

  In that order.

  * * *

  Born in London, she got an early start in fanfic, rewriting the end of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales to make them less sad, and making Luke Skywalker evil in a story called And I Am Your Son. It was shit.

  * * *

  Inka was transplanted to a greenhouse in Kent, where she screamed in the sunlight until someone kindly moved her to a cave.

  * * *

  She is there still.

  * * *

  Waiting.

  * * *

  Despite this, she is blessed with a majestic husband and two grown and competent spawn.

  * * *

  Inka writes queer fantasy with hellspawn and halos… stories about finding our place in the world.

  Big thanks to my critique partner, Dawn, for throwing herself into yet another Cascade Apocrypha story. Thank you for the peachy reminder. This one’s for you.

  Thank you to my beautiful After Darklings, who support me on my subscription as Cascade Recruits and members of the Celestial Council. I love and appreciate you so much: Heidi, Janay, J, Elle, Lois, Aisha, Mel, Erica, Dawn, Lisa, and Kelly.

  A final thanks to my Hearties for all the cheerleading. You’re the best xo

  Content Warning

  Please bear in mind this book is set in the Cascade Apocrypha storyworld of angels, demons, vampires and various breeds of monster. Therefore, pointing out every incidence of violence and gore would be difficult and distracting.

  This book is on the spicy side, but the violence isn’t overly graphic, though it does feature gnarly corpses climbing out of the Thames. Visitors to London please be advised that this is not usual.
