Puddles in the Pavement, page 13
The perky butler will be back, but it’s gonna be a while.
FYI: When I was researching for this book, I had three Victorian stories in mind. The other two are companion tales to each other—Victorian Vampire Daddy (AKA Two Souls & a Pocket Watch) and The Runaway & the Water Jinn (AKA Ninety Blooms & a Wishing Well).
I was deep into the history of the pubs in London’s east end, particularly those on the north bank of the Thames, when I made a spooky discovery.
I’m saving it for the bonus material though, so I can add a tonne of pictures without being punished for it by a certain retailer who shall not be named.
Scoot back a few pages to the QR code to access the bonus material for that.
I hope you enjoyed meeting these archangel brothers, and if you want more, you know where to find them.
The first four books of Not the Same River are already at the retailers. Start with A Storm of Paper Starlings.
Stay safe, my friends xo
Content Warning
Please bear in mind this series of spin-offs is based in the same story world of angels, demons, vampires and various breeds of monster as the Not the Same River series. Therefore, pointing out every incidence of violence and gore would be difficult and distracting.
This book isn’t overly graphic, but there is implied sexual assault of teen girls, homophobia/gay slur, casual ableism, and a much deserved death.
The background to the case on which Uriel and Bel are working features murdered sex workers, but there is no on-page harm.
