"I'd love to..." Jake's face was so obvious that Henry had to nudge him to break him out of his love-drunk stupor. With a laugh Henry said, "We'll be seeing ya."

As they walked back down the road, Jake couldn't contain himself. He giggled and ran ahead, twirling in the deserted road. Henry laughed at him, "Just try not to be too forward with him, ok?"

  "Henry!"

  "What?"

  "I have a date!"

  "Yeah."

" A real date! Well... maybe a li le under false pretenses." Jake bit his lip.

"Maybe a little." Jake seemed so happy as they walked back to his house; he had such a huge smile on his face. Henry couldn't help but be a li le jealous; he wanted to have his own date. For a moment he thought about being on Mohegan's arm, and feeling that hard thick arm wrapped around his shoulder. It made Henry shiver.

*~*~* The next day Jake went over to Shuey's shop. He made sure to wear as much deodorant as possible because he was already swea ng from nervousness. Finally he stood before the shack. Ins nct was telling him to shi and run, but he somehow found the courage to enter.

His nose surged as he smelled the air: soap, shampoo... Shuey. He unconsciously opened the door to the house. "H—Hello?"

Shuey's shirtless form greeted him. He was in jeans, and water trickled down his chest, seeming to take it's me going over the contours of Shuey's abs. His raven-black hair was wet, curling around his chin and down his neck. Jake's eyes traveled down the tanned chest, the abs, to the the v-line of his hips. A light sca ering of black hair lay across his chest crea ng a trail down to his lower regions. Jake felt his sight shi , and he felt light-headed and a sudden shortness of breath.

"Uh... Jake. I asked if you brought a helmet?" Shuey smiled, his canines protruding slightly. "I—I—I don't have one." "It's okay," Shuey said as he put on his shirt, breaking Jake out of his momentary lapse. "I have an extra. Take off your clothes."

"What?!" Jake said, his eyes widening. The room was quickly spinning into that dis nc ve sepiatone that came with shi ing, the colors taking on muted, brown shades.

Shuey laughed, "I have a padded suit. You can wear it so you don't get hurt."

Jake blushed, nodding. "Yeah." Once in the bathroom, he began undressing. As he took his pants off, the lingering smell of Shuey hit him and started to grow hard. "Shit." He drew deep breaths to calm himself, then reached down to rearrange himself in his underwear. Quickly ge ng dressed, he let the bathroom. Shuey put a helmet on Jake's head, and together they went out to look at the two bikes Shuey had sold them: DKW SB 500s. "Built in 1936, so they're a bit old, but I can make them purr." Shuey pointed to his personal bike. "This one is mine. My Dad saw motorcycles in Germany for the first me during the war; they aren't as popular here in the States, so he imports them when we get money in."

Jake looked at the obviously brand new 1955 Yamaha; it was completely scratch free and looked as if it had just rolled off the show room floor. "I bought this one from Japan and had it flown here. Cost me almost six months savings but she was worth it."

Shuey took the front seat, pa ng the back for Jake. Jake bit his lip nervously and slowly moved closer to the bike. Looking into Shuey's dark blue eyes, Jake stu ered, "Are you sure?" When Shuey nodded, Jake sat down beside him.

"First we'll just do some turns, see if you can get used to the way a bike moves. Then I'll show you how to use it." Jake cau ously put his hands in front of him, trying not to touch Shuey, but unsure how to hold himself up. "It's okay, just rest them around me. You'll need to feel which way I lean." Jake's hands caressed Shuey's back then he wrapped them around Shuey's waist.

The bike roared and they slowly began inching forward. Shuey signaled he was going to move and Jake held on ghter. The bike rolled forward smoothly, and Jake smiled as he felt the wind go across his body. Shuey leaned into the turns and began speeding faster as Jake became more comfortable. After about two hours of teaching Jake how to ride, Shuey pulled the bike up behind the shop. Climbing off the bike, Jake followed Shuey back into the house to change.

A short while later, he le with a smile s ll on his face. "Goodbye, Shuey!" Shuey watched him leave and waved one last me when Jake looked back.

Every day he went back, growing closer and closer to his new friend, comfortable with Shuey in a way he hadn't been with anyone before.

"How'd you meet your friend Harry?" Shuey asked. "Henry. We met the first me he came to the reserva on. He wanted to know more about our heritage. He thought it was so cool to belong to such an 'awesome' culture." Shuey raised a brow as Jake went on, "He was seven, and his Dad beat his bu for walking the two miles here by himself. We just get along real well. We're soul brothers."

"Don't tell me: his idea?" "Yeah, he heard about it during a pow-wow the chief was doing and insisted we became soul brothers."

"So ... you like him a lot?"

Jake bit his lip and nodded, "Sure ... but he's just an old friend. He gets me into more trouble then I'd like at times."

Shuey's face turned serious, "Don't trust the white man, Jake." Jake looked confused, but Shuey continued, "If he finds out what you are, he won't hesitate to kill you. You can only trust the pack to keep you safe, Jake. Our kind has never had good come from the white man, and it won't start now."

Jake looked down not sure what to say. "Uh... I'm sorry." Shuey growled low in his throat, taking Jake into a possessive hug, "I'm sorry. It's just we have a strict code with the Alpha. I didn't mean to sound harsh. We should forget about our side project for now and just go play."

Jake smiled, feeling a li le lightheaded at the close contact, "You want to spar with me?" "It'll be fun."

"Not much of a challenge, though."

  "Challenge enough."

Jake nodded in agreement and stood up, then le the house and ran outside, finding a bush to hide behind so he could strip his clothes off and shi into the wolf. Shuey squirmed out of his clothes, quickly shi ing each area as he discarded the clothes, his bushy tail the last piece to appear. Jake ran up to greet him, rolling onto his side. Shuey nipped his neck, then ran toward the woods.

They chased each other around. Shuey tripped Jake, causing him to tumble over several mes. Shuey growled. You need to get be er balance. You have four legs! Shuey thought to Jake.

Sorry for being an oaf. At least I can— Jake ran right underneath Shuey and out the other side, Run!! Shuey took off a er him, dar ng around the trees in search of him, un l Jake abruptly sprung from above him and dug his teeth into Shuey's shoulder.

Shuey quickly countered by forcing Jake to the ground and onto his back, then practically sitting on him. Now what, li le lamb? How do you get out of this?

Jake struggled, but he felt Shuey's hot jaws dig into his throat, Shuey's large tongue curled around his fur, Jake could feel a pressure building low in him. It took all his effort to keep himself in his sheath, trying not to expose himself to Shuey.

I'd—I'd— his mind was fuzzy, as he tried to mask the sudden rush of thoughts. Push up. Jake shook himself out of it and used his hind legs to kick Shuey off.

Shuey laughed, wagging his tail, Come on, you're almost out of time. They tro ed back, and Jake suddenly had a thought he couldn't control. Is there someone you like?

Shuey stopped, looking at Jake with those waterblue eyes. Why ask that? Jake shook his head. Forget it. They padded along together closer to the house. Jake was s ll pan ng, his pink tongue lolling out of his mouth. Shuey was thick with muscle, and his dark black fur made him seem even more powerful.

Yes, I do like someone, a lot. Shuey tro ed forward, and began to shi out of his wolf form, his black fur smoothing into tanned flesh. When Shuey shi ed it looked effortless, as if his skin just naturally folded over. Jake wasn't so lucky; it s ll hurt most mes when he shi ed, especially since the alpha had le the scar. It burned whenever he shifted.

Shuey came over to Jake, pu ng a hand on Jake's scar, "It will pass." Shuey's hand lingered for a moment, as he leaned down and kissed Jake's lips. Jake's eyes grew wide. He was going to die. His heart was bea ng faster than a hummingbird's, his feet felt like they were shi ing, and he could feel his desire swelling. He broke away and held a hand to his mouth.

Jake was s ll just in his boxers, and his interest was obvious. Horrified and embarrassed, Jake grabbed his clothes and backed away, "I-I-I'm sorry!!" With a quick turn on his feet Jake ran, no cing his surroundings had lost their color; he had shi ed at least his head as he ran. His wolf ears twitched when he heard Shuey call out to him. For a moment, Jake considered running back, but he had already made an ass of himself, how could he turn back?

When Jake finally reached his house, he flopped down on his bed. "Stupid, stupid!" He yelled into the soft embrace of his muffling pillow.

  *~*~*

Henry's morning began with church, where his father preached about hellfire and brimstone, but by a ernoon he was able to duck out of the Youth Picnic and get back home early. As he approached the entrance to the ranch, Henry was surprised to see Mohegan. His arms were crossed, and there was a stern look on his face when Henry tro ed over to him, "Mohegan! Why have—"

Mohegan cut him off with a snarled, "What's your game? What are you playing at?"

Henry looked at him blankly. "What are you going on about?" Mohegan pulled Henry closer to him, picking him up and searching his eyes, his nose twitching slightly. Henry squirmed a li le, before Mohegan put him back on the ground with a shake of his head. Without another word, he le . Henry stood dumbfounded, completely stumped on what could have brought Mohegan all the way to the ranch, and what he'd been so angry about.

He was s ll puzzled about it the next day, and it made every hour drag. School was mostly uneven ul, the only excep on being the small school yard fight that had broken out during lunch. When the school bell finally rang, Henry headed straight to the reservation. Once there, he made his way to Jake's small, rundown trailer.

Though the outside was in poor condi on, inside the trailer was a cozy, warm home. Henry's mother always had servants cleaning up his huge house, keeping things spic and span; it made for a very cold home. Henry lay next to Jake on the bed, listening intently as Jake told him of the details of his me with Shuey, feeling a pang of jealousy. Henry raised a brow, "But why did you leave? He kissed you, right?"

Jake shook his head and mu ered, "I couldn't hide my, um... erection." Henry laughed. Jake sat up slightly and punched him. "I don't want Shuey to think I only want him for... sex..."

Henry sat up as well. "I'm sure he knows that." He tugged at Jake's shoulder, pulling him into a small hug. "Why don't we go see him this Friday? I'm sure he'll be done fixing the bikes up by then."

"Okay," Jake said, though he did not look thrilled by the idea.

*~*~* By the me Friday did come around, Jake was s ll hesitant to go. Henry had to pull Jake to the shop, all the while ignoring his fussing. When they finally arrived, Jake suddenly got quiet, staring wide-eyed. Shuey was basking in the sun. His hands were greasy and his brow was beaded with sweat, but he seemed at peace. Henry looked over at Jake and tried to s fle a chuckle. Henry kicked Jake in the bu , knocking him out of his stupor. With a small laugh Henry called out to Shuey, "Hey, did you finish up the bikes?"

Shuey looked over at them, then nodded. "Yep, ready for your inspection." Following Shuey around to the back, they both gasped at the bikes sparkling in the sunlight. Shuey had somehow made two hunks of metal into works of art. Where once had been rus ng metal and chipped paint now sat clean polished metal. The old wires and rods had been replaced, the res completely inflated, the rims unbent and perfectly round once again.

Henry jumped onto the back of his, turning the engine over. It roared to life, loud and full of power. Revving the engine, Henry kicked up the stand and drove off. The wind rushed past his ears, the sound of the engine becoming a so hum as he traveled faster and faster. He pushed the machine to sixty, seventy, eighty miles an hour, his smile only getting bigger as he went faster.

Racing back Henry skidded the bike in front of Shuey. "You do good work." Reaching into his coat pocket, Henry pulled out a grand in cash and passed it over. Money had never been an issue for Henry; his father came from a long line of investors. Jake had tried many mes over the years to get Henry to stop buying him things, but Henry had never listened. If Henry wanted something bad enough, he would do whatever he needed to get it. "Jake, you two have fun, alright? Maybe Shuey could teach you a few things more." Henry winked.

"Henry! I'm sure that—" "That would be fine," Shuey said so ly, flipping his thumb over the cash. He looked at the money with a slight grimace of disdain on his face.

Henry nudged Jake, smiling he whispered. "This time don't run away when he tries to kiss you." Jake swallowed and felt he almost floated to Shuey's side. "Really, you don't mind?"

He smiled as he put a helmet on Jake's head, "Not at all." Jake watched Henry ride off, nervous because he was no longer there as a distrac on. He got on his bike, knowing he didn't look nearly as natural on it as Henry had. Shuey sat behind him, sliding his arms around Jake's waist. With a nod, Jake started the engine, ha ng how loud the bike was, and almost cringing as the motorcycle vibrated with power. With all the help Shuey had given him over the last two weeks, Jake didn't have any problem pushing the bike forward, and slowly drove off.

Jake drove cau ously, trying to ignore the hands around his waist and the breath against the back of his neck. He didn't want to no ce the sharp intake of breath, or the knowledge that Shuey was enjoying his scent.

He panted, his eyes no longer focusing on the road as he tried to ignore the hands move from his waist to his thighs. The sepia-tone of road made everything seem to blend together. There was a shudder as the motorcycle ran over some cobble. "Watch out!" The motorcycle began to twist out of Jake's control, and he felt himself being li ed in the air. The motorcycle flew down the field, but Jake landed safely onto Shuey's body. Jake blinked and turned in Shuey's hold. "Uh, so stupid."

Shuey li ed his head up, looking over at the bike, and then rested it back on the ground with a heavy sigh, "Hey... why did you really want to get this bike? You don't seem entirely interested in them."

Jake turned his eyes away, pushing himself up. "Um... I just wanted to try something new." Shuey pulled himself away. "We both know what happened last me. I can't have you near me if you're just going to act like we never—" Shuey stood, clenching his fists.

"I love you." Jake yelled, then put his hand over his mouth. "I mean... I like you, a lot."

Shuey cupped Jake's cheek, "Then why did you run away?" "I—I had a small problem."

"What? That you like a man?"

"No, it's because I'm a man." Jake mu ered, pu ng a hand over his crotch, to shield it from Shuey's view.

"It's okay to have feelings for me. Just because we're both men, that doesn't mean we can't be together. Can't you smell it? We're compatible."

Jake took a deep whiff, closing his eyes. "I know..." he groaned, feeling himself ge ng excited again.

"Then why—?" Jake pulled Shuey's hand to his groin. "Because I like it too much." Jake, horrified by his own ac ons, let go of Shuey's hand, but Shuey didn't pull away.

"You're already... jeez." Shuey grasped it, causing Jake's vision to blur from the pleasure. "You really like me? I'm glad. Let me show you how glad I am." Shuey shi ed, his pants tearing away, and in a flash his lower body was that of a wolf. It didn't take long for his whole body to take the shape of the big black wolf. Jake was surprised to see that Shuey's wolf penis was hard and engorged. I can barely control the beast within... I want you so bad I can't help but shift.

Jake's arousal piqued at Shuey's excitement, causing him to want to shi . The scent of lust was strong, and they both were having a hard me controlling the wolf ins nct to mate. Jake whimpered, feeling his neck burst with fur and his head shi . Shuey bit his s ll human shoulder, even as Jake's own jaws started to shi and elongate. The situa on was quickly ge ng out of control as Shuey pushed his hips closer. Soon, naked flesh met tented pants, and Jake let out a frustrated growl, wan ng to shed his own pants, to feel Shuey hard against him.

Within seconds, Jake was a full wolf, and his teeth were sinking into Shuey's neck. The jaws of a Lycan could be deadly; one wrong snap of those jaws could tear a man's arm off, but as they sunk in Shuey's thick neck, all he could feel was pleasure.

Jake's mind felt heated; his thoughts became sca ered and hard to understand as he gave in to more primal ins ncts and their inhibi ons melted away. Shuey howled in ecstasy at the clamping of his mate's jaws, around his neck, and the ins nct to force the wolf over and mount him was overwhelming, but the human part of Shuey interceded. I want to do this right: a bed, romance.

Jake bucked his hips up, yelping and rubbing himself against Shuey. Do it, Do it, Do it! was the only thing Jake's mind could form into words. No human thought was le , just the beast's desire to breed.

Shuey took a deep long breath, smelling the sexual desire pouring off Jake. He jumped away to sit a few feet away. Jake panted and rolled onto his feet. He tro ed over and li ed his tail up, offering up the small, ght opening he had available to the big black wolf. The aroma almost intoxicated Shuey, but he turned away, figh ng the wolf. Jake, not here.

Jake snapped out of it at Shuey's words and tucked his tail between his legs. I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me. Stupid, stupid!

Shuey turned to Jake, licking his face, licking the red muzzle, It's alright, we both just need to calm down. They got dressed in silence, Jake looking over his torn shirt and Shuey shaking his head at his own busted jeans; they both laughed at each other.

*~*~* Henry rode his bike, enjoying the luxury of it. Whereas the two mile walk had taken him a good thirty minutes, the drive on the bike was barely five.

"Isn't that the Conner's kid?" A man asked, watching Henry's bike pulling in closer to the city. "Yeah, probably came back to gloat a er what his Daddy did." The other man spit. "Fucking white boy, he's always waltzing around the 'res like he owns the place."
