  Synopsis

Karina Choi has dedicated her life to sacrifice for her family, and now that her mother is in a complicated health condition, and at risk of losing the house she has struggled her entire life paying for, the young woman is forced to sign herself up for a luxury escort website.

As a plus-size woman, she doesn’t believe she will be chosen, however, on the same day Karina receives a message setting up a meeting with a very rich contractor who could be the solution to all her problems. The amount offered is so good it almost seems like a lie.

So, what’s the problem? The man who shows up in the hotel room is not really a man at all. Klaus Dark Elf is over seven feet tall, complete with a demon-like tail, a long tongue, a pair of horns and a not-so-good reputation as a bad boy from the traditional and mysterious Dark Elf family.

Klaus becomes obsessed with Karina’s scent, which seems to stir something almost wild in him, and decides that she will be the right female for the revenge plan he intends to enact on his family, whether she wants it or not.

Now Karina and Klaus are bound together by a dark agreement, one that the shy girl doesn’t know if she’ll be able to keep up with, but she has no choice if she wants to help her mother.

What to expect on the next few pages?

A very long tongue, male domination, primal play, biting, squirting, breeding kink, claws, horns, a long tail that comes into play when needed, dick piercings, heat, possessiveness, praise, degradation, growling, occasional blood play, a "bad guy" who can’t last a week next to the girl without wanting her, sex in front of other people (no one else but the couple participates in it, though).

  Prologue

  Karina

The hotel room door suddenly opens and before I can reach the phone in my bag, all the words I intended to say to the mysterious app guy get stuck inside my mouth. I wouldn’t dare saying anything with… that thing looking at me. It’s sizing me up from head to toe.

A powerful shiver runs down my spine, tensing every muscle in my body, the same one that responds to his presence as if I’m seeing a predator, increasing my blood flow and my heart rate.

His straight brown hair nearly glows and it’s styled in a very untidy way. His skin is tanned and sprinkled with a few freckles, mostly on his nose, as if he’s been sunbathing all day. His full lips are inviting in a seductive burnished, very dark shade of pink.

The being wears black tailored pants on his long legs and a white shirt that shows just a bit of his muscular torso. He also has what seems to be a pair of black gloves on his big hands, as his palms are very dark in comparison to his skin tone.

His eyes are light, but I’m not sure about the color, because he must be at least 7’0” tall with a broad and powerful body, which makes it too far for me to tell exactly the shade of his pupils, since I’m down here at 5’4".

However, the seven feet is only counting to the head, because adding the dark and slightly twisted horns upwards — and yes, he has HORNS — he must be about 7’2". He also has a tail like a demon, with an arrow-shaped tip and everything!

The creature even has very pointy ears with some piercings going on!

He dresses like a man and looks a lot like a man. A very good-looking one.

  More than good-looking, actually.

That’s too simple a compliment for the size of his strangeness and beauty. However, there are too many additional limbs on his body, like the tail and horns, that I’m sure shouldn’t be there.

“Hmm…” he makes a rough noise in his throat, staring at me with a feline kind of gaze, and it sends a thrill through the hairs on the back of my neck. I need to run out of here now. “I’ve finally found one of you… humans… good enough, and you smell…” He sniffs in a long breath and makes a noise in his chest that resembles an animal. It’s like a light growl that vibrates through every cell of my body. “Very good. The scent of your fear is quite sweet.”

The being sets himself in motion and he is very comfortable in his skin, like a panther, and his dark tail is raised, waving from side to side carelessly.

“Now come here, little human,” he commands, in an authoritative, husky male voice. The sound is human, but there is something at the end of each word that betrays its facade of humanity. Something deeper, harsher. “I’m going to evaluate you closely.” He pats his lap twice, as if he wants me to sit there, which is absurd.

I’ve never sat on someone’s lap, not since I became an adult. I don’t know anyone who could hold all my weight. But maybe he can.

No, he certainly can, he’s indeed big enough for that.

“And you better not run… This hotel doesn’t have room for that kind of kinky play, we’d make too much of a mess,” he threatens, and, like magic, his eyes turn to bright yellow. No pupils, no division at all, just pure yellow.

And a second later the light disappears, as if it had never been there.

  Chapter 1

  Karina

“Are you sure about this?” my best friend asks, and I answer by clicking on the blue button that says, “Submit your application now".

“Karina! For goodness’ sake! This is very serious! You can’t just sign up to an escort website out of nowhere like that!”

“It’s done, Olly, there’s no turning back.” I watch as the document entitled Terms of Use is downloaded onto my second-hand laptop, which, like everything I own, is old and needs replacing.

Sometimes, I even believe my father’s theory. When I was a little girl, he used to tell me that, in our past lives, we were probably very rich and snobby people, so now God is punishing us by making our family poor.

“But isn’t your new job at this company paying you well?” the redhead asks, pushing her round glasses onto her face, even though the object isn’t even sliding down her nose. That’s just my childhood’s friend habit.

“It is, but just enough so I can pay off one of my credit cards bills and don’t starve to death. If it weren’t you letting me stay in your apartment for free, I’d be screwed.”

“You can stay as long as you want, but for God’s sake don’t go whoring yourself out on the internet!”

“I’m not whoring myself on the internet!” I roll my eyes and Oliver starts to chew on her bottom lip. My friend has, indeed, severe anxiety issues. “It’s just an escort website full of skinny women. Perhaps I’m one of the only fat girls around, and maybe someday someone needs a girl like me by their side at a party? I would literally be the only one on the whole website!”

No, I don’t believe any of the things I’ve just said to Olly. I don’t really think that anyone would be interested in having me as a date for anything. However, if I have the chance, I should give it a try.

“Are you in such need of money?”

“My mom is staying at our house in the countryside, in Nolan, and I got an email yesterday saying that if we don’t pay at least the three arrears within fifteen days, she will be evicted,” I explain, trying my best to cover the stress level in my speech not reminding her the part that my mom just recovered from cancer.

If I freak out in front of Olly, she’ll freak out with me and start shaking with anxiety. In fact, that’s how we met at school. Oliver got desperate during an exam, and I went to help when the teacher left. Finding solutions is my gift, and freaking out until I find one is hers.

“How much do you need?” she asks, scooting further up in my bed as I sit on the chair in front of the desk.

Olly has a similar body to mine, I’m only about two inches taller. We have the same prominent, soft belly and a ‘full moon’ face, as my Aunt Mi-Suk would say, t

hat old wretch who keeps trying to make me lose weight.

“More than you have in your account,” I assure her, and she grimaces. “Save your money, you’ll need it to buy more canvases.”

  “Can’t you get a loan?”

When you have money and suddenly runs out of it, borrowing it’s easy. Bankers smile and give you options. But people like me, who need to get a credit card on their eighteenth birthday, don’t get much help from financial institutions.

“No, I can’t get a loan. But relax, okay? This is just one of my options. I’ve sent out resumes, I’m sure I’ll get a call soon.” I give her a thumbs up and start to slip the uncomfortable high heels on my feet.

I’m already in all my standard secretary clothes, which in fact, I do love to wear. I feel important wearing a pencil skirt and a white formal shirt, even if sometimes it feels like the buttons are going to explode on my breasts and belly.

“In what part of the day do you plan to fit another job, exactly? You work from morning till night, and it takes you almost an hour to get home, there’s no time left.”

“I kind of signed up to work on the night shift…” I give a half-smile.

Working in this extra shift would kill me, but I can’t let my mom go through the motions either. Her only source of income is my late father’s pension, who died when I was twelve.

  “AT DAWN?!”

“I can… stick on one of those caffeine patches that make you wake up so I can get the fifteen thousand grand later this month.”

“FIFTEEN THOUSAND GRAND?” It’s like her green eyes were going to pop out and fall to the ground.

I sink onto the chair, that’s the only gesture of discouragement I’ll allow myself. My whole life has been about getting up and making things happen, whether it’s the easy way or the hard way, and now will be no different.

“I guess, instead of finding a job as a luxury escort, I should look for someone who wants to buy one of my kidneys,” I mock, but Olly doesn’t laugh.

“I’m finishing that giant painting of the five-legged horses for that weird guy, I can help you, Kari!”

Even though my father was Korean, my upbringing was not Asian; my mother, a white, American woman, was in charge of most of the parenting. Everything I know of my ancestors’ language, I learned from the k-dramas Olly watches. So, my name is Karina instead of something super traditional.

“This is not going to happen!” I jump to my feet, arranging my clothes on my body. “Worry about pleasing this guy and doing a good job, then maybe he’ll increase the number of legs next time and you’ll get more money.”

“That’s not how it works! And you must stop joking around, your situation is very serious!”

“I’m not joking.” I grab my handbag, which is falling apart, the fake leather peeling intensely. “Gotta go now, later, Olly!”

“Just tell me one thing before you go. Did you put pictures of yourself on that damn website? Pictures of your face?” She reddens with fear.

“No,” I lie, after all, how is someone supposed to hire me without knowing what I look like? "But don’t worry about that stuff, I’ll sort it all out."

“Do you think this is for real?” Gina asks, pointing to the TV in the office break room where everyone has gathered after a few crazy hours at work. “Do you guys really think they exist? Just casually hanging around ?”

Five lawyers are sprawled on the wide sofas. Behind us there’s a row of glass windows that gives us a nice view of the downtown outside.

“Well, they’ve been on television and the internet for as long as I can remember. It seems they were discovered about seventy years ago and they are very powerful,” Wesley, a black man with honey-brown eyes, says. “Have you ever seen one of these, Karina?” he asks, as usual, making me feel part of the conversation and increasing my heart race at the same time.

Lawyers are a tricky bunch, and even though this is a medium-sized office, most of them still seem to think of themselves as some sort of God. Except Wesley. He always smiles at me and includes me in conversations, even when I have no idea what they’re talking about with their legal terms and complicated cases.

“I… don’t know.” I give him a half smile and pay attention to the beings on TV, not having the courage to keep staring at the lawyer.

I don’t know how to flirt, and I can’t hold eye contact with men I’m interested in for more than two seconds without feeling stupid.

  “Persanians are a mystery…”

Everyone has already heard of the Persanians. They call themselves Persanians Elves, but I’m not sure if I believe that. Their eyes even glow when they are angry and that’s not very "elvish" of them.

Aren’t elves supposed to be charming and almost angelic?

“How can they say that vampires and werewolves aren’t real, but want us to believe that these things exist somewhere? I’ve never met a single person who has seen one of these Persanians in real life” Gina continues with her incredulity.

She’s a super tall and skinny brunette who’s only good for ordering me to get her coffee, even though I’m secretary to five lawyers all at once and don’t even have time for that.

“To me, this Persanian elf thing is a marketing strategy to take money out of the fanatics who follow them.”

Persanians are considered by many to be almost like Greek gods, with their broad, strong bodies and different features. They draw crowds of women who can’t resist their charm, even though almost none of them have seen one for real.

“Most Persanians live hidden on that super island near Italy. The place is huge and yet it took us centuries to find out about it.” Wesley strokes his beard and once again my heart leaps.

I do have a crush on him, and it is so annoying. I don’t think he sees me as anything but a colleague, just like all men.

“I read in an article once that they have a very different nightlife style.”

“Those on TV are the Dark Elf family, right?” I gather the courage to step in a little further into the conversation, even though Gina hasn’t even turned her face to look at me. Next to her is another blonde lawyer and together they start a side conversation.

“That’s right. Dark Elf is one of the only Persanian Elf families living among humans. They’re like controversial celebrities to me,” Wesley replies and I feel myself redden.

Blushing easily is one of my karmas. These damn pink cheeks and nose don’t give me any chance of hiding anything.

“No wonder why they’re called demon elves…” Gina rejoins the conversation, which relieves me a little, so I don’t have to answer the man less than two feet away from me on the sofa.

“But isn’t it strange that every week a different story comes out on the news, but no one has ever had direct contact with one of those elves? We have information on the internet, but nothing in-depth. Are they mammals? Or I don’t know… do they lay eggs?” she says seriously, but the blond next to her chuckles. “Do they have their own language? Why are all of them tattooed?”

“Well, I guess you can find that out for yourselves!” Suddenly the owner of the office, Elijah Davies, a man in his fifties, enters the small room and gives us a big fright. Everyone who had been sitting back and relaxing tense up. Elijah is a legendary lawyer, so everyone always wants to kiss his ass.

“Wesley and Gina, you’re going to the Dark Elf’s mansion in an hour,” he simply says, making my eyes go wide.

The Dark Elf mansion is just shown from the outside, the inside was never revealed.

“Are you being serious?!” Gina exclaims.

“I just received a call, they want to hire us, but only if we meet face-to-face,” Elijah explains and raises my curiosity even more. “And Miss Choi, you’re going along for support and to get whatever is needed."

  Me?

  Meeting an elf?!

  God help me!

  Chapter 2

  Karina

The Dark Elf mansion is like another dimension from where I grew up and even more luxurious than Red Town, that gigantic city I moved to a few months ago along Oliver to the apartment left by her parents.

The elves’ home is a two-floor house, with a huge front yard garden, full of very colorful flowerbeds. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. It took us about ten minutes to drive all the way in.
