The Alpha 7: Protect. Procreate. Prevail., page 11
“Mmmmm,” I groaned as the feeling of domination raced through my body.
“Aaaaaah,” Blair sighed before she returned her lips to mine.
My feet shuffled back and forth to hold our balance, and the final loads of my sperm poured into Blair as her pussy spasmed around me. I almost felt lightheaded for a split second, and more stars danced around my eyes, but that feeling didn’t last for too long.
My omega and I made out for a few minutes, and she pulled at my hair as our knot kept us bound together. The familiar, metallic taste of blood landed on my tongue at some point, and I felt a sharp sting as I brushed my lip with my tongue. But the fact that Blair had nipped me with her teeth surprisingly turned me on, so I added that to the growing list of things I needed my omegas to repeat.
“Oh, fuck,” Blair said in a horrified tone. “Jesse, I’m so sorry.”
“Sorry?” I chuckled. “For biting me?”
“I hurt you!” she replied. “I never meant to hurt you. Fucking hell.”
“Hey.” I removed one hand from her hip as I cupped her face. “Don’t beat yourself up over it. I fucking loved it.”
“You loved that I hurt you?” Blair frowned.
“Uh, yes,” I chuckled. “Do you know how hot that is? That you were so swept up in the passion and the drive, that you actually broke the skin?”
“I mean, I am pretty hot.” She smirked.
“Exactly.” I smiled. “So now I want you to do that every time I claim you.”
“I’m sure I can sort something out.” Blair shrugged coyly.
“I’m sure you can,” I chuckled.
We continued to hold each other for the next few minutes until our bond released me, but the slight accident with Blair’s teeth caused my cock to harden quicker than it ever had before, so it was only fair that the two of us did something about it.
Blair and I remained in that same position, and for the next uncountable amount of time, I slammed her against the wall as I fucked her all over again. Blair’s moans vibrated around the room, and she muffled the cry of my name against my neck as she pleaded for me to cum for the third time.
The curious side of me was interested to see just how soundproof the music room really was, or if the foam pads didn’t matter when it came to a shifter’s heightened hearing.
Nikita, Hailey, and Arielle were probably enjoying the screams and animalistic growls that came from this room, because they loved it when they each had my undivided attention. It also wouldn’t have surprised me if the omegas had secretly planned this before I came home from Everleigh.
As Blair and I knotted together once again, she scratched my scalp as I bit down on the swell of her breast. Then, as my omega and I rode out the waves of our orgasms once again, her name slipped from my lips, and Blair just about shattered the windows with her screams.
It felt like my body was about to collapse from the pounding of my heart and the shaking of my legs, but I held Blair safely against the wall as we slowly relaxed.
Then once our knot had dissolved, and to save ourselves from collapsing onto the floor, I settled myself back on the piano stool, and I supported Blair as she sat on my lap.
“Fucking shit,” she chuckled. “I think Theo needs to continue annoying us if this is the outcome.”
“I thought the same thing,” I replied. “It clearly brings out the more feral side in us.”
“I suppose it’s just in our nature.” Blair shrugged with a playful smile.
“You’re not wrong there,” I agreed. “But speaking of Theo, I suppose I should go and get some more answers out of Clarice.”
“And what’s going to happen then?” my omega asked.
“It depends on the answers,” I chuckled. “I’ll either find a way to help her out of this mess, or I’ll allow the four of you to do whatever the hell you want to her.”
“I imagine Arielle and Hailey may have a few ideas.” Blair smirked. “And I might be able to add in a few ideas of my own. Oh, and then there’s Nikita, and everyone knows not to bullshit a pregnant woman.”
“Just let me know if you need to buy some new stilettos,” I laughed.
Clarice was going to tell me everything she could about Theo Finch, and then I could finally get the revenge I had been waiting for.
There was one thing Theo needed to learn, and that was to never fuck with the Alpha.
Chapter 7
It took a few more minutes for me and Blair to gather the energy and motivation to leave the music room. I didn’t want to leave her, but I also wanted to take a shower, wash off the events of the evening, and then call it a night.
Clarice wasn’t going anywhere, but I didn’t know how much time we had to work with. For all I knew, Theo Finch could have already had a plan in place, so my shower and a good night’s sleep would have to wait.
Aunt Eva had also silently informed me the betas had left, but Brenden and Kristina would return in the morning if we needed them to. I wanted to make this seem as normal as possible for Clarice, so I didn’t want her to think she was being watched, when that was exactly what we were doing.
Either way, I would decide on the best course of action once I’d had a proper conversation with the strange omega.
I picked up my suit from the floor and hung it neatly on a hanger, but I made sure to save Jack Nolan’s business card. Once the clothes had been dealt with, I changed into some sweatpants and a t-shirt before I plodded downstairs.
As I descended the stairs, I overheard Clarice in the living room talking about the cabin.
“You all have such a lovely house,” she commented. “I’ve always dreamed of living in a place like this.”
“Yes, we are very lucky,” Arielle replied. “Jesse makes sure to look after us, and this is just one of those little things.”
“He really does seem like a great guy,” Clarice said. “I’ve only ever known asshole alphas, so I’m glad Jesse isn’t like that. I think I’ve come to the right person to help me.”
I thought the comment was strange given how Hailey had described how much Clarice and her alpha, Gabriel, loved each other.
“Jesse’s the best,” my omega replied. “He sees the good in others, and unless someone seriously deserves it, or if they’re seen as a threat to us, then he’d much rather prefer to leave them alone. He doesn’t hurt people for the fun of it, unlike other alphas I know…”
“Have you known a few assholes in the past, too?” Clarice asked.
“I have…” Arielle mumbled. “But it’s a long story.”
Out of all my omegas, Arielle probably had the most compassion for complete strangers. Blair and Nikita were more cautious until they got to know someone, and Hailey knew to take a step back until she could trust the people around her. But Arielle always saw the good in other people, and as long as they deserved her kindness, then she always wanted to do whatever she could to protect them.
So it wasn’t exactly a surprise to find out she had gone downstairs to speak to Clarice, but I also knew how Arielle worked. She had a hidden devilish side that sometimes came out to play. She genuinely would put herself on the line to save another, but when it came to her family and loved ones, she used that sweet, angelic voice to make these strangers open up to her.
Arielle wanted Clarice to trust her, and offering a smile or a sliver of hope was the best way to do it.
I’m loving this tactic you’ve got going on, I said to Arielle alone as I arrived at the underground pool.
I see you’ve worked out the plan I have up my sleeve? My omega replied with a hint of a grin in her tone.
Oh, yes, I laughed silently. If you keep that up, Clarice will soon fall in love with you, too.
I’m not sure if I want that, but I’d be her friend if she needs one? Arielle asked rhetorically. However, I don’t want to dance with the devil, so unless I trust her, then Clarice doesn’t deserve my friendship.
Not a lot of people deserve your friendship. I smiled. You’re far too good for this world, Arielle.
I’m only good to those I love, she replied.
“Hey,” Clarice said, which broke us from our conversation. “Do you know where Hailey went? I feel like she and I need to have a talk about everything.”
“Last I heard, Hailey was going to take a bath,” Arielle replied. “I’m sure she’ll come downstairs at some point.”
“You don’t think I’d be able to have a bath, do you?” Clarice asked. “I can’t remember the last time I took a bath anywhere that wasn’t in a stream, so the chance to freshen up would be really nice.”
“Of course, you can,” Arielle said with a tone that made me think she was smiling.
“I could really use a razor, too,” Clarice snorted. “My underarms and legs have never looked this bad.”
“Then I can get that sorted out for you,” Arielle replied.
I decided to walk into the living area at that point, and I noticed Clarice sitting on one couch, and Arielle was curled up on the other. Both women smiled at me as I walked over, and then I sat down beside Arielle and curled my arm around her shoulders.
“I heard you had a tour of the cabin?” I asked casually.
“Yes, I did.” Clarice smiled. “I was just telling Arielle how lucky you all are to live here. The pool looks amazing.”
“Thank you,” I replied. “And I think Aunt Eva is going to set up one of the spare bedrooms for you to sleep in.”
“Really?” Clarice gasped. “Oh, thank you!”
“Of course.” I nodded.
The only issue when it came to Clarice going to bed was that I couldn’t have someone subtly keep an eye on her without Clarice thinking something was up. Which meant I either had to trust her not to use her phone, or I had to try and take it from her somehow.
But as I thought about her phone, a thought popped into my head that I hadn’t even considered earlier on.
If Theo was keeping tabs on Clarice, then would he go to the lengths of tracking her location? If so, and if he saw that she was in Monroe, he’d know she was with us. Which meant I had to be quick putting a plan in place so it didn’t look too suspicious if Clarice was hanging around here for too long.
“Do you mind if I ask you a few more questions about Theo?” I asked as I stroked Arielle’s hair with one hand.
“Of course,” Clarice replied. “Whatever I can do to help you.”
“I think my main issue is the fact that we don’t know where he is right now,” I began. “You said he never told you where he was taking Gabriel?”
“No, I have no idea,” she sighed. “Theo has so much land, both in Canada and in Washington, so it could honestly be anywhere.”
“Did you ever hear him mention any particular place?” I asked. “Or did any of his betas say anything?”
“Um…” Clarice glanced down to her lap in thought. “I don’t think so… I imagine all of their important conversations were done privately.”
“I suppose they were, yeah,” I muttered. “It’s just annoying that we don’t know anything, because if we did, then we could organize a fight to kill Theo and save Gabriel all at the same time.”
“I know, I wish we could.” Clarice shrugged with a sad smile.
“But I really don’t get why Theo hasn’t claimed you yet.” I rubbed one hand across my lips. “Because we all know it’s going to happen if you return home anyway.”
“Believe me, I’ve been thinking the same thing,” she snickered. “Maybe it’s something to do with Theo wanting me to believe he’s a good guy? However, I’m not complaining.”
“I bet you’re not,” Arielle giggled.
“How do you feel when you look at Theo?” I asked. “Do you have that drive to be with him, or are you pretty settled with Gabriel?”
“Gabriel is my life,” Clarice said as fresh tears began to form. “That’s why I’m literally risking my life in order to save his. I’m sure Arielle knows what I mean, but I literally feel nothing when I look at Theo. Well, nothing apart from pure anger.”
“It’s a great feeling, right?” I asked. “Knowing you love someone unconditionally, and that you can trust them completely.”
“Honesty is the best policy.” Arielle smiled.
“You’re not wrong,” I agreed.
“Speaking of honesty,” Clarice asked with sadness in her voice. “Can you tell me honestly if Hailey hates me? She barely spoke to me this evening.”
“Hailey doesn’t hate you, I don’t think she has the ability to properly hate anyone,” I said. “However, she is scared. Hailey has spent so long trying to run away from Theo, and now she knows he’s after her again, so she doesn’t want to be ripped away from her family after she’s just found one.”
“But I am her family,” Clarice sighed. “I was there when she had no one. Harry and I took her under our wings, and we showed her the ways of the shifter world.”
“It means a lot to me that you care about Hailey so much,” I replied. “I appreciate the risk you’re taking in order to protect her.”
“That’s kinda why it’s a difficult situation for me to be in,” Clarice admitted. “Because I want to save both of them, but I knew that if I refused, or if I returned without Hailey, then Gabriel would die. So I had to come to you for help.”
“And I’m guessing he won’t answer any questions if you asked him?” I assumed. “For example, he won’t tell you how he knows where I live?”
“No, not one,” Clarice replied. “I did ask him how he knew I had to head to Monroe, but he shut me down pretty quickly. He said he’ll tell me everything when I return with Hailey, and that’s all he said on the matter.”
“Fine,” I mumbled. “That’s so frustrating.”
“Tell me about it,” she giggled.
“I think I’m going to get some food,” Arielle said as she stood up from the couch. “Would you like anything, Jesse?”
“Sure.” I grinned. “A sandwich would be great. Have the others had some dinner?”
“They helped themselves while you were upstairs, but I wasn’t hungry then,” she replied. “However, I’m starving now! Would you like a sandwich, Clarice?”
“Oh, I would love one,” Clarice said with a dreamy look on her face. “It feels like I’ve been in my wolf form for ages, so I could really use some proper food.”
“Okay, I’ll get that started for you,” Arielle said as she headed toward the kitchen.
A heavy silence filled the living area as Arielle walked away, and Clarice glared down at the floor as I stared off into the distance.
“How long do you think it’ll be until we put a plan in action?” the omega asked a moment later.
I wasn’t sure how to answer that, because I didn’t want to give away too many details, like a time and place, before I knew I could trust Clarice completely. However, she already knew I was going to help her, so I was about to be vague without telling her too much.
“I think it’ll all depend on what happens,” I answered. “We can’t do anything unless we know where he is, but we also need to make sure Theo hasn’t got another plan up his sleeves.”
“Yeah, I understand,” she replied.
That was when an idea came to mind, and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of this before now.
“I think I know what we can do,” I said.
“What’s that?” Clarice asked.
“There’s a way for us to find Theo’s location.” I smiled.
But there was also a way for me to track Clarice’s phone at the same time.
Hailey, can you bring down the betas’ phones, your laptop, and a cable for Clarice’s phone? I asked. I have an idea… Oh, and anyone who can unlock the phones, too.
I love the sound of this, boss! Benji cackled from one of the rooms upstairs.
I’ll be right there, Hailey replied.
Before either of us could say another word, Arielle came back into the room with a tray in her hands. There were three plates with chicken and bacon sandwiches on them, as well as two white mugs. The paper tag wrapped around the handle of the mug told me Arielle had made her and Clarice some green tea.
“Room service!” Arielle called out happily.
Then my omega handed out the plates of sandwiches before she handed one of the mugs to Clarice.
“Be careful, it’s hot,” Arielle said as she handed Clarice her mug.
The werewolf omega blew on the hot tea, and then she took a dainty sip.
“Mmm, thank you so much!” Clarice grinned.
Hailey wandered into the living area just as I took my first bite of the sandwich, and she had her hands filled with all of the electronic devices. Seconds later, Aunt Eva and Blair walked in and found places to sit on the couches.
“Can you all unlock these phones?” I asked.
“We sure can,” Blair replied.
“I thought it was best that I used the fingerprints of the people who live in this cabin,” Hailey explained. “That way we can access them whenever we need to, instead of calling others back to the cabin.”
“You’re brilliant.” I smirked.
“Thank you.” She winked. “So, what’s the plan?”
“Well…” I mumbled as I looked at the various devices on the table in front of me. “If we’re trying to find out where Theo is right now, or where he’s taking Gabriel, then we could track his location with a phone, right?”
I’m not sure that would work, but I have a plan, Hailey replied silently.
“I’ll see what I can do.” She nodded.
“I know you have the location app on your laptop, so do you think we could do it through that?” I asked.
“Of course, I just need to plug it in.” The little werewolf smiled.
And while you’re at it, can you try and connect Clarice’s phone to the laptop? I asked. Or do something so we see every message she sends, and her call history?
You know I can, Jesse, she said confidently.
“Clarice.” Hailey turned to face the omega. “Would you mind if I used your phone for this?”
“Sure.” Clarice shrugged. “This is a legit app, right?”
“Absolutely,” the werewolf replied.
