She was everything I wanted in my life, but I felt I didn’t deserve her. Blood coated my hands, both figuratively and literally.
I wasn’t the type of man she should ever be with. She needed someone better. Someone who wasn’t like me. So, I set her free.
It broke me to do it, but I had to. At least, it’s what I thought at the time.
Now I find out she’s pregnant, and I’m certain that child is mine. I’ll do whatever I need to put our family back together, but more importantly, I’ll make amends for the pain I’ve caused.
