MY GUIDANCE: The colors that you see around the channel are the colors from her guides and those that work with her and from her own aura. But we are a different energy, and you would not see us in the usual colors, even the spiritual colors that you see.
BRENDA: have the guides facilitated in this communication?MY GUIDANCE: The guides have to be there in order for us to be able to transmit to her and through her, because our energy is a little bit different. And so, in your terms, her guides almost act as transformers. And this explains something for her, because she has always known that there is this energy around her, but then there are also these guides, and (she) has never before realized the relationship.
BOB: Do you also imply that this constant stream of energy that is picking up and leaving (missing words here)?
MY GUIDANCE: No, that is not how it works. As we said in the beginning, we are a stream of energy, and there are many streams that divide and multiply and go in different directions, picking up knowledge from those that we interact with and giving knowledge to those we interact with. But as far as the birth-and-death process, that is not what we are involved in.
BRENDA: What knowledge do you assimilate that you wish to share?
MY GUIDANCE: We are trying to understand the tones of human beings, because we find so many different variations that it is hard for us to understand how they all could be called human beings. Why is one so totally different from the other? Sometimes it is explained by many in your world as reincarnation and that people have different paths. We are trying to understand what it is that makes one so different from the other. We are not sure, but this is one of our main studies. And as we interact with you, we are trying to nudge you, we are trying to break through some of the walls that you have so that you will start to see the higher parts of your consciousness. In fact, we can only interact with the very highest part of your individual soul consciousness. But for those who do not open their minds, they will never feel our presence. We feel that those who open their hearts and their minds so that we may interact with them will become kinder people. Does that answer your question?
BRENDA: If you think about different tones of human beings, do we each have our own particular song or rhythm that our soul sings to us?
MY GUIDANCE: From your perspective, we divide these vibrations up into different things that you call waves and sound and colors and all. But to us, it is all one and the same—an energy perceived through different lenses at different times. And yes, you each have your own imprint. That is the best way that I can put it: your own vibrational imprint that may express itself through a tone or through a color. But I can't say that you are each a particular tone or song.
BOB: Perhaps we each have our own tonal signature in the same way that is recognizable which would allow you to see differences in us.
MYGUIDANCE: We see it as a vibrational pattern. Using the word see is not quite right. It is an essence. It is a particular essence—vibrational essence. We do not have it divided up as you do. Because you have five senses, it is logical for you to think in terms of what you see, what you hear, what you smell, and your senses have led you to dividing things up in a way that for us is not relevant. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with the way you have divided it up. It is just not relevant for us. It's just different.
RON: When you speak of the number of yourselves, when you use the word we, what do you mean? Is there any way that you are divided, or are you all part of the same emanation?
MY GUIDANCE: It is very hard to describe. We are all one and yet we are many. We don't have personalities as you do. We are vibrational streams of knowledge. There is no way to compare it to your individuals. Using the word(s) we are does not really express it. We are a stream of energy that is as ancient as time. We have divided and split up and gone in many directions, and at the same time that we are in many directions, we are also all joined by our impulses.
The only thing that I can think of that would relate to the way that some people on earth are beginning to think of is quantum physics with its bilocation, where something can be in the same place and another place at the same time. It is not quite like that, but that is the only thing that begins to approach our being, our reality.
RON: It seems like our theory of bilocation is far less advanced from what you know.
MY GUIDANCE: Not necessarily—just different. The channel has always perceived us as an energy rather than an entity. We are explaining to her for the first time what this is like, what this energy is like.
It is extremely old energy, yet it is constantly energized by all the centuries that it has come through. Do you understand?
(Ron and Bob say something to each other that cannot be understood.)
BOB: Because of the nature of what you say you are, our centuries must seem mere seconds to you.
MY GUIDANCE: Not really. We have a kind of sense of time. It is not like your sense of time. We go back and forth within time. We don't just move forward. We also move backwards, some of us.
BOB: Then is it somewhat random? Or can you choose your direction?
MY GUIDANCE: We are attracted—we are attracted by various things that are happening and to various people. Where we feel impressed that there is knowledge to be shared, we go. So it is as much up to you who are living and those who are in different life- forms in the universe to attract us. We are not controlling it, but we are attracted to you. There is a mutual exchange that is beneficial.
That's why people have so many different talents. We can aid in people's talents. We did not create them. We are attracted to an engineer, say, and we can go and help with that engineering project, help with that invention, or that poem or that song.
What do you see as you look at the channel?
BRENDA: A deep green. I sense a stream of energy that is like sometimes when you look at dust motes in the light. I can see it.
MY GUIDANCE: What do you see?
RON: I have been observing a number of different shifts in the energy around the channel. In the very beginning I saw what I have come to know as the colors of the channel's guide, superimposed over her chest. I have seen that energy move to the right shoulder area. I see a shift in the energy around the face of the medium as well. I have also seen what appeared to be a shaft of light in front of the medium.
I need to talk about the cold that I felt on my lower legs and across my lap. As I sat here, that energy was very constant. I felt the heat, as well, on the upper part of my body.
MY GUIDANCE: What do you see?
BOB: I see mainly physical changes, such as different transformation of the facial features, shadow across the face.
MY GUIDANCE: We are going to reorganize.
(Occasionally, in a session I will become terribly uncomfortable because I have been sitting in a fixed position for a long time. When this happens, My Guidance may take a moment to reorganize. When that happens, I may shift my physical position slightly and then go back into a deep trance state. In this case, not only did I change positions, but My Guidance also told us that the nature of the session was changing.)
MYGUIDANCE: We are bringing in healing energies. I would like each of you to receive a healing.
To Ron . . . (healing was sent first to one and then the other, until all in the room had received healing. There is no more speaking.)

When I am in an altered state of consciousness, which many would call trance, part of my mind remains active and I can hear what is going on. As I spoke the words, my mind saw an image of the sources of energy that went along as one, divided, and became many more. It was as if mystical spiders were spinning a web of knowledge around the sitters and me. I got the impression that this web of knowledge was something that moves through the whole world and through all the universes that exist.
I have to admit, and My Guidance even commented on it, that at times I felt as if I were creating a great science fiction story. While my conscious mind finds it hard to believe that “[i]t is extremely old energy, yet it is constantly energized by all the centuries that it has come through,” another, deeper part of me—the part of my Greater Self that is able to receive this energy— knows this statement to be true.
All of us were incredibly intrigued by what My Guidance said and by what we had felt. My Guidance taught us that the energy that comes through is ancient and cosmic and that it is both teaching us and learning from us. As the energy moves through the universe, there is a mutual exchange of knowledge.
This insight makes me think about the story of the “Hundredth Monkey Effect,” which originated with Lyall Watson in his 1979 book Lifetide. In the story, a monkey learns a particular behavior. Then several other monkeys, upon observing this one monkey, also learn the behavior. The point at which 100 monkeys have learned the new behavior is a tipping point; now monkeys all over the world adopt the same behavior even though they have not observed the first monkey or the next ninety-nine. I wonder if this Energy plays a role in picking up knowledge from one monkey and dropping it off with another. This Energy may be the energy of knowledge that travels on its own without the assistance of our human vocabulary, printed pages, faxed documents, or FedEx packages filled with all kinds of information.
By the time we had reached the end of the May 4 session, I noticed that all of us were occasionally using the name “the Energy” instead of “My Guidance.” We were seeing the many layers, the many aspects, of what I had called “My Guidance.” My Guidance was no longer mine, but was now for me, and for us, the Energy.
I feel blessed that part of my Greater Self is able to connect with the Energy, receiving waves of vibrational teachings and translating them into words for the four of us and for all of humanity to contemplate. However, never will I fool myself into thinking that the words are the teachings; words are only words, and ultimately the Energy is wordless.
July 31, 2006: We Are Connections
“. . . We are not Jesus. We are not Mohammad. We are not any of those spiritual leaders because we have never lived a human life. And yet you know that we are there when you open to the presence.”

THE ENERGY: We are here to talk about whatever you would like this evening.
We are the same energy as before. We know that you and the channel have many questions about our essence, and so we will let you ask.
RON: There are lots of questions that need answers. I know that you explained that you are not anything that we know. My mind has a little bit of trouble processing what that means. Is there another way you can help us understand what you are?
THE ENERGY: We do not exist in any way in the same realm that you do. You are looking for identification and personification that we simply do not have in the same way that you do. We do not even speak. It is by a process that we are able to send impressions into the mind of the channel who can then put it into words. If we were to have a Japanese channel, the channel would be speaking Japanese. Do you understand?
We are an energy. We are a stream of light. We are a speck of energy that then explodes and becomes many more. We are not people. We are not creatures. We are energy, vibration. To use the word we does not really work.
Think about how the universe was formed. It was formed out of an explosion of energy. Can you understand that?
RON AND BOB: Yes.
THE ENERGY: We have been there since that very beginning. We're the nexus of what happened. But again to use words that you use does not really describe who we are. We are creative energy. We are what comes to you and helps you think of things. You feel our presence, and you know that we exist, but you can't prove it.
RON: When we began this evening, I felt an energy come in. I felt a presence that I could not define. Do I understand correctly that you are helping me formulate ideas in my mind?
THE ENERGY: This is the energy you draw on when you are inspired. The presence that you felt, the channel felt. In fact, she became so overwhelmed with the presence that she did not know if she could go on. We had to tone down her feelings.
We are not just with her. We are everywhere. We are creative energy; we are sustained imagination and creativity.
BOB: And yet as I remember you are different from what we think of as spirit.
THE ENERGY: Yes.
Now we are into words, because when you think of spirit, most human beings think of the spirit of this person and of that person— of spirits that lived once. And then you speak of Great Spirit, which is the god of your understanding. We are closer to the god of your understanding than we are to the spirit of your grandmother or grandfather or spirit guides. We are not spirit guides in the way that you think of it.
BOB: But in the sense of your earlier comment, that were you talking to Japanese people right now, their conversation would be in Japanese. So we must use our frame of reference when we think of spirit, and think of the closeness of the human form that we were used to, and that as they go into a form of energy, the only thing we can do to sort of accept that, I guess, is to use the same words that we attribute to that energy, the characteristics that we knew when they were here. That is a comfort to us, and it helps in our understanding and acceptance of the process we call death.
THE ENERGY: Of course it does, and that is very valuable. It is just not what we are. We are no better. There is not a contest here.
BOB: I understand. There is not a qualitative process.
But in the sense then that you, an energy, existed when the universe began, it seems that the energy from which you came subsequently formed into different parts that we are just beginning to discuss with you. Apparently, some parts of that original energy stayed as energy and became—and I will use our word—the entity that you are discussing, which equates to you and is still energy, while other parts of that original energy went off in a different direction and resulted in the evolution of what we call human, and the spirit that ignites that human presence.
Is that a fair statement? Perhaps more naïve?
THE ENERGY: It is not a matter of being naïve. It is that we are such a different realm it is hard to put it across in your frame of reference. We send an essence of this to the channel, and we have to bring it through her mind. But it cannot really be described in your terms.
If you can try not to personify the Energy, you will be closer to what it is.
BOB: As you said that, it occurred to me that the best thing we can do is accept that we cannot describe you, nor should we try, and instead, recognize that you are something that is beyond our understanding but which we know is there because there is a presence coming through the channel. So it seems acceptance is the right way to proceed rather than trying to fulfill our curiosity to learn more about it. In my case, I think it would take a significantly greater education, perhaps in physics and things I know very little about, and I would still come to the point where we are now of acceptance that you are there, you are communicating with us, and the how is not important. It is, however, important and significant to us that we are able to be a part of your communication and enjoy that as it is.
THE ENERGY: When you walk into the garden and you see a beautiful pink flower and you stop, there is a moment where time seems to stop because of the beauty. We are surrounding that flower. We are drawing you to it. We are connections. We are interconnections. And when we are there, you know we are there because you feel a presence. Something is different.
In your terms, you could say, it is the presence of spirit. But you cannot personify it. There are many great spiritual leaders that have lived that were people that survive in spirit. But that is not who we are. We are not Jesus. We are not Mohammad. We are not any of those spiritual leaders because we have never lived a human life. And yet you know that we are there when you open to the presence.

My Guidance had become the Energy. It was as if My Guidance took off a costume I had created and was showing me its true nature. I still continued to use both names, My Guidance and the Energy, just as I sometimes call people in my family by several different names.
We began to understand that the Energy is not an essence we can personify and classify. As Ron, Bob, and I were human beings, it is hard to conceive of an energy that was not a spirit who had lived on earth expressing itself to us through my channeling. The three of us accepted that when human life is over, our spirits live on in an eternal world, and when we communicated with that world, we expected to see images in our minds of our loved ones who have passed on. We also expected guidance in the form of spirit guides, angels, or helping spirits. We also thought about a loving god who is superior to all of our relatives in spirit and our spiritual guides. We thought about a god who can control the weather, birth, and death. It was hard for us to cope with the idea that the Energy I channeled was none of the above, and I can imagine it would be downright impossible for a person who does not at least believe in life after death to cope with it.
As I listened to the tape of the session, I was touched by Bob's expression of acceptance. Sometimes all of us have spiritual experiences that are special to us, that are life changing and transforming. When we try to explain these experiences and prove their validity, we often lose the mystical essence of the experience. I am sure many readers can relate to times of transformation when there was no explanation. Sometimes trying to put the experience into words causes the spiritual energy to instantly evaporate. Acceptance is often the best path.
When the butterfly is before you, accept its beauty. When the moon is full, bask in its light. When the warm waves of the ocean lap at your feet, accept the healing.

So it seems acceptance is the right way to proceed rather than trying to fulfill our curiosity to learn more about it. In my case, I think it would take a significantly greater education, perhaps in physics and things I know very little about, and I would still come to the point where we are now of acceptance that you are there, you are communicating with us, and the how is not important. It is, however, important and significant to us that we are able to be a part of your communication and enjoy that as it is.
THE ENERGY: When you walk into the garden and you see a beautiful pink flower and you stop, there is a moment where time seems to stop because of the beauty. We are surrounding that flower. We are drawing you to it. We are connections. We are interconnections. And when we are there, you know we are there because you feel a presence. Something is different.
In your terms, you could say, it is the presence of spirit. But you cannot personify it. There are many great spiritual leaders that have lived that were people that survive in spirit. But that is not who we are. We are not Jesus. We are not Mohammad. We are not any of those spiritual leaders because we have never lived a human life. And yet you know that we are there when you open to the presence.

My Guidance had become the Energy. It was as if My Guidance took off a costume I had created and was showing me its true nature. I still continued to use both names, My Guidance and the Energy, just as I sometimes call people in my family by several different names.
We began to understand that the Energy is not an essence we can personify and classify. As Ron, Bob, and I were human beings, it is hard to conceive of an energy that was not a spirit who had lived on earth expressing itself to us through my channeling. The three of us accepted that when human life is over, our spirits live on in an eternal world, and when we communicated with that world, we expected to see images in our minds of our loved ones who have passed on. We also expected guidance in the form of spirit guides, angels, or helping spirits. We also thought about a loving god who is superior to all of our relatives in spirit and our spiritual guides. We thought about a god who can control the weather, birth, and death. It was hard for us to cope with the idea that the Energy I channeled was none of the above, and I can imagine it would be downright impossible for a person who does not at least believe in life after death to cope with it.
As I listened to the tape of the session, I was touched by Bob's expression of acceptance. Sometimes all of us have spiritual experiences that are special to us, that are life changing and transforming. When we try to explain these experiences and prove their validity, we often lose the mystical essence of the experience. I am sure many readers can relate to times of transformation when there was no explanation. Sometimes trying to put the experience into words causes the spiritual energy to instantly evaporate. Acceptance is often the best path.
When the butterfly is before you, accept its beauty. When the moon is full, bask in its light. When the warm waves of the ocean lap at your feet, accept the healing.
