  About the Author

CARL MESSINGER is a decorated Vietnam veteran and retired Army officer who started writing in the early 80's while living in Germany. Traveling throughout Europe, he saw the opportunity to write travel articles and at the same time, deduct the expenses incurred while traveling as business expenses. He began taking notes during his travels and submitting the resultant articles to various travel magazines. After about six months, his first article about Heidelberg was accepted for publication by World Traveling magazine. Others soon followed.

Returning from Germany, Carl, an amateur thespian settled in the Philadelphia area. Combining his knowledge of the theater and his desire to write, he started covering the local theater scene for several newspapers as a free-lance critic. Later on, he moved to Northern Virginia and continued his coverage of local theaters, including the famed Folger's Theater in Washington D.C.

Moving to Arizona, Carl's first novel, Tent City: An Arizona Tragedy was published and is currently available on Amazon. This is Carl's second novel and the first in a series of novels detailing the life and consequences of the Williams family. The second book of the series is currently under construction.
